Small but good. No fancy waiting room, etc to raise costs. Always busy - a good sign for an independent. They did a big job on my old van, extending its life. Other shops probably wouldnt have done it - not thorough enough to notice the issue & prefer to stick to dubious, over-priced maintenance. A shop to trust & respect.

Brought in a 2007 Subaru Outback with a engine leaking oil and a broken steering component. Schalls provided friendly, honest work. I had never been to Schalls before, and didnt know where I should go for affordable and good service... But Google and user reviews brought me here. I was extremely pleased with the price and service. Their communication was also excellent, with multiple phone calls made to me which kept me informed of the cars repair status, and they provided suggestions to keep the cost low. I was even shown the parts that had gone bad when I picked up the vehicle. Thanks Mr. Schall, I will be back!

Dons service is second to none. His shop may be small but his service is HUGE. He always takes the time to explain what is needed, the costs, and Ive had him finish a job for less than the original estimate - its the kind of guy he is. Hes worked on my daily drivers, race car, and even helped with my RV. You wont go wrong at Schalls Automotive!

This is by far the auto shop in Rochester. Most problems they will fix on the spot. Prices are reasonable and the mechanics are top notch. My family has been going to them since they open and I wont go anywhere else.
