My A/C stopped cooling on Tuesday evening. My normal maintenance company was booked up due to the time of year. Ostrom was able to get service out within 24 hours of calling. Ryan, the service Tech was friendly and thorough. He was upfront with pricing options and did everything he could to get me the cheapest option. He broke it all down. I got an email at the end with my invoice and the other options just in case the lower cost didn’t work out. Highly Recommend!

I dont give 5 stars in general. I have to be wowed. Ostrom has been exceptional from the very beginning. They are straight forward, they let you know the best path to choose, and they ensure they dont take advantage of you. Even better, you can see who your tech is before they come in via their notification system and when asked put on a mask without complaints. Lastly, they put on boot covers to ensure your floors stay clean.

After shopping around and researching several HVAC companies my selection was Ostrom. My choice turned out to be an superb after our long day installation. Although you may pay a bit more for Lennox its worth every penny. The installed & replaced 2 older heat pump systems in record time and only with 2 days lead time after I ordered their system. We had a freon leak and time was of the essence ! They were professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Their work was done with precision and excellent quality. I highly recommend Ostrom for all your HVAC needs.

Jonathan and Dashae were wonderful, prompt, friendly, and professional. They went the extra mile to ensure that our well pump was compatible with our system and to make sure we would get the most life out of it possible moving forward. I incorrectly connected my new thermostat, and called Ostrom for damage control. It’s July, and the house had already started getting warm. Ostrom fit me in same day, and my technician, Joe, was at my house within a couple hours. He took his time to find the issue, to explain things to me, answer my questions, and reconnected everything in very reasonable time frame. First time I’ve ever called an electrician and it was better and easier than I could have imagined.

We’ve used Ostrom in the past for electrical repairs and needed them once again for an issue with our AC in the house. This is easily the best company I’ve worked with on housing repairs, and I will absolutely use them again for anything across electric, heat, or plumbing needs. You won’t find a better company to work with.

I got three estimates for a new heat pump system 10/2020. All three were comparable pricing but Cody from Ostrom was the most professional and informative about pricing and scope of work. We got four estimates from Ostrom for different systems and once we selected the one we wanteed to move forward with, we discussed installation dates and the office was great with communication, follow-up, and setting expectations.The installation team was headed by Thomas and the four guys were productive and provided updates along the way. The installation finished over an hour early and the work all looked good, which they showed the components and discussed maintenance guidance. They system has been working great and is much quieter than the old system so I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. Will definitely recommend and use Ostrom again.

This is the third or fourth time Ive used Ostrum. They are extremely responsive. I submitted an inquiry before business hours and they called right when they opened. They listened to my urgent need for some plumbing work that I needed done quickly before my new sink and countertops arrived the next day. They moved their schedules around and got here first thing in the morning. They explained the work they would do and gave a firm quote on getting the work completed. They kept me posted throughout the day and cleaned up like they were never here. Second time having Landon do some work here and he is awesome professional and friendly.

They were able to work us in ahead of scheduled appointment for a broken toilet. We had already purchased replacement toilet since we know it had to be replaced and Cameron and his helper very efficiently installed the new toilet for us.

Jesse and his apprentice Brady did a terrific job on several tasks today. They included primarily installing a gas line and gas logs in our fireplace but also fixing several plumbing issues left by the previous contractor. Ostrom isnt always the cheapest quote in town (though they often are), but they are always worth the price. Ive been a service plan member for several months now and Ive had them to my house enough times to make it well worth that cost. Every technician Ive had on site has been incredibly knowledgeable and efficient. I especially have appreciated Jay W. who does both plumbing and electrical! He has always found a way to go above and beyond the services required.

When on their first visit we discovered that the new toilet Id purchased didnt fit, I was able to quickly substitute it with another and bring it home. I called to see if I could be rescheduled for later that same afternoon and they were able to do it with no problem. Saved us several days of waiting. Everyone was courteous and professional.

My issue is not with the people. Just the fact that for the refrigerate from my heat pump removed cost well over 500! Would have been over 600 if i didnt find a coupon. It was less then 10 mins of work. So disappointing. I was going to be a repeat customer. But I cannot afford to be! And when its June and everyone is booked out.. I now understand why they had a open appointment. Again the people are friendly, just the cost of service is crazy. Expect to pay up for the service youre requesting.

Replaced existing Rinnai tankless water heater with Novien tankless water heater.Work was done on time. Workers were efficient and courteous and explained what they were doing. They did an excellent job.

George was wonderful from first meeting until job completion and beyond. Relocated and installed a new breaker panel advised me on future issues without trying to sell me on anything that isnt needed. George even called to set up an HVAC tech(from Ostrom) to follow up once they found that my outside unit wasnt working.

Please choose another business. I used them for many years because of their quality work even though they were more expensive than most. I recently asked them to do a simple install on a unit that I already purchased and they charged me an ungodly amount of money. I was sure it was an honest mistake. When I contacted them they were dismissive and not bothered with common sense. Please do your research and get quotes before you let someone take advantage of your good faith.

We had a power outage. Our all-house generator then quit. We require medical equipment in our home, so this was a big deal...at 410pm. I called because even though Ostrom doesnt service the generator, I wasnt sure that it wasnt an electrical problem. At 440pm, in rolled George and Carlton. They were great! They checked everything that they could. They found one loose connection and fixed it. But then...they stayed to make sure that the generator technician didnt need any extra hands and ensure that the problem wasnt (at least) partially electrical. They were there after 6pm and didnt leave until they knew my generator was back up. This is one of the reasons that I stay a performance plan member. There arent many service businesses that will consistently exhibit this type of customer service.

I needed some electrical work done, canned lights replaced and wiring rerouted to my generator. My technicians handled this efficiently and in a timely manner. They are always reliable, on time and leave the work space clean. I highly recommend Ostrom’s for any work being done.

The people from Ostrom we’re very professional. On time, knowledgeable, and communicative. They explained everything so that I could understand and showed me what they found with my pipes as they were going. They were very nice, which made the blow of replacing my pipes a bit more bearable.

The tech misdiagnosed the problem with my AC which could’ve resulted in me paying an exorbitant amount of money unnecessarily. However he was friendly and agreed to come later because of my job hours. I ended up having my AC repaired elsewhere after Ostrom’s estimate was simply too expensive. After pointing out their mistake, Daniel the service manager reached out to apologize and to refund their $89 fee which I thought was very decent.

Clearly scheduled an A.M. appointment for june 9th (my only day off during the week) and no one showed up. I got a text later that day saying they were coming the next day when no one would be home. Will choose someone else next time.

Im very impressed with the service that Jason and the Ostrom team gave. I called Saturday afternoon to make appt. He was on site and replaced my hot water heater by lunch on Monday. I had a new HVAC system installed Ostrom Electric was fast, efficient, friendly and easy to deal with. I highly recommend them for any maintenance or installations. Im a very happy customer.

3 years as an Ostrom plan member. I posted a previous review where they charged $118 to change a lightbulb.“Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.” - Warren Buffett11/3/20 we noticed our heat was not very warm. Ostrom said they could send someone 11/4. We have 2 heat pumps, so that was acceptable. It was $510 to clean 2 of the 3 burners (1 hr) with a $49 service fee.11/16: Ostrom replaced a pressure tank in our basement. 3 hours and $2,283 later the tank was in. The tank itself was said to be $500 leaving $594 per hour which is on par with the $510 for the 1-hour burner cleaning, although cheaper than the $118 lightbulb change 2 years ago.I spoke with Dan to discuss the bill. With 2 other quotes for $1,200 and $1,500 I was interested to learn what the higher price bought. My wife (unaware of the other quotes) had to approve the $2,283 quote that day because she couldn’t reach me by phone. There was pressure to approve the quote quickly.Dan explained the costs were due to job complexity and business overhead. Examples were the pressure tank weight and location (6 feet in the air). See attached photo. I reviewed my home security video, and the tank was drained prior to removal. At one point 2 workers from Ostrom were present. I assume one was there to supervise only because only ONE worker took down and replaced the tank.Dan also discussed the call out fee for the heat repair on 11/4/20. He explained the fee was initiated when the member plan changed from $37 to $19 six months ago. I pointed out that I have continuously been billed at the higher $37 monthly price yet was still charged the new service fee. Dan said he felt that he was “digging himself a hole” and did not want to offer a price reduction as this would diminish the value of the service provided. I did not I ask for one; I only requested an explanation of the price.Ostrom does not provide an itemized bill, so I will attempt to make one with the information available. 4 hours of labor was $3,237. $500 was the actual cost of parts, leaving $2,737 remaining, or $684 per hour spent in the home. This includes the $444 plan fee.Ostrom spends a great deal of time cultivating their image, and this can be seen in the responses to their reviews on Yelp and Google. There is much discussion about their billing practices with little explanation other than “we offer up front pricing” and “the cost of running a business.” My home security footage shows the two workers discussing the process in detail. The individual who came to my home states his sales practices are “not as aggressive” as one of the other individuals in the company; however, we were still billed as tier two for reasons that remain a mystery. I will post the video in its entirety so nothing is taken out of context.I know Ostrom reads these reviews: please be aware your salesmen went into my garage and used my equipment for this job and are on video doing so. I will therefore charge a $1,042 tool usage fee. I use only the highest quality tools, and the costs associated with owning and maintaining these tools are not insignificant. You can understand and appreciate these costs. Please post the payment back to the credit card that you have on file. If this is inconvenient you may also mail me a check. I paid my bill immediately and I have full confidence that you will do the same.I would also encourage using masks in peoples homes as this area is experiencing significant increases in positive Covid-19 tests.For those who are considering using this company I suggest you obtain at least two outside estimates prior to getting one from Ostrom. This will contrast the exponentially higher prices. I would also encourage reading the 1 star ratings and you will notice a common theme.As for price versus value I will say that while they did previously charge $118 to change a lightbulb, it was completed in only minutes and was of the highest quality workmanship.They have not paid for using my tools as of 10/1/21David, we can talk once you have paid your bill.

The guys from Ostrom arrived on time, completed the work in record time, cleaned up and were gone. They were correcting previous work in an old house so I find the efficiency and professionalism amazing.

As usual, Ostrom did it again. Very polite and very professional. Heater would not come on. The thermostat worked for AC, and was clicking, as if it was turning the furnace on and off. There was a wiring problem behind the thermostat, from an improper installation. It was troubleshot and repaired within the first 5 minutes of the service call. Did a thorough cleaning and inspection of the furnace, since he was here. Everything looked good. Thanks again.

Jessy and Layne were super! Very professional and did a wonderful job!! Fixed leaking water heater and changed faucets in my kitchen! I will use these guys again!! Jennifer the receptionist was prompt and professional and very quick to call back ASAP!! Super job
