We were on Van Buren Blvd on our way from Idyllwild to Orange County for doctor appointments when we developed a serious oil leak. AAA asked where we wanted to be towed and we requested that they please recommend a place because we hadnt a clue. I dont have enough of the right words to express how great Scottys was. They were kind. They were proactive. They were professional and fair. They fixed my car faster than they estimated for less money than they estimated. When does that ever happen. They made me laugh and turned what started out as a very stressful experience into a fun adventure. If I ever need another mechanic and I could get my car to them, they are my first choice. Theyre the best.

Dont go here! seriously, if everyone finds out, then Ill never be able to get my car in there. They do a fantastic job, charge fair prices and suggest additional services based on safety concerns, which saved me from disaster. Suggesting a brake adjustment/tune-up which I tried to put off, they didnt take no. Driving home that same day, a car pulled out forcing me to hit the brakes as hard as I ever had. Luckily I stopped, but if I hadnt listened to them, possibly a very different ending. Ok, fine- go there too, Ill just have to plan ahead better.

Quick smog check to get my registration done with the dmv. Very nice place, pretty mom and pop. I accidentally parked In the back and walked through the shop. Kinda glad I did cause I saw how clean and professional the place was. I mean wow. I’ve never seen such a well kept shop. The lady in the front was a very nice person, good for conversation and helpful. And spoke with the owner as well who was a pretty great person too, former coast guard sailor. All in all, great repair shop!

I like the fact that this place will Allow me to select which items get fixed. I pay for the things I dont want to do and do the simple things myself. A good mutual relationship exists.

I went to Scottys Auto Repair to get my cars brakes replaced. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. After the first replacement, there was still some squeaking, which Scottys took a second look at free of charge. The second visit did the trick, and Scottys was able to get my car back to me same day in both visits. Scottys is a great auto repair shop that is professional, quick and stand by their work.

Had our water pump replaced and timing belt. Work was excellent and timely. The final cost was a few hundred dollars less as some of the parts did not require replacement. You will be well taken care of at Scottys.

Jeff was great to work with. He was very willing to answer all of my questions and gave his honest opinion about the repairs needed and the lifetime of my car. Once I gave him the go-ahead, he got my repairs done quickly and did a great job! I believe I was given a fair price for the repairs and labor needed. The parts replaced are all under warranty for 2 years and I was offered a free follow-up alignment service in 6 months to make sure that the parts all settle properly. Would highly recommend!

Enjoyed sharing my landscaping project with you and hope it gives you some ideas for your home project. as for this visit all good. last year with my other car Jeep and another shop it was failed for many items. I told the owner the testing person is wrong. this is pre OBDII and is not even equipped with a check eng light. also failed for the catalytic the number it had did not come up on computer. It was the same one passing for the last 12 years. then a hose with heat shrink tubing he called a modification. called BAR...(bureau automotive repair) arbitration results Jeep passed every thing he sad was bad. that shop was fishing for work. I even showed the schematic of my gauge lights proving no check eng light the next day and he would not pass jeep. BAR jumped in. free test. was refunded for smog test from shop and now BAR can supersize test this shop. I wish I could warn everyone not to go there thats if there still in business. To avoid this again. I will use Scottys a reliable star auto repair shop

I cant say enough good things about this auto repair shop. Its extremely difficult in this day and age to find honest people . To be honest, my father raised me and my siblings as a car mechanic. He was very honest with customers. Scottys doesnt try to deceive you into charging you for something you dont need. They work WITH their customers! The women handling the front desk are OUTSTANDING! They are very pleasant and friendly. I have even told my daughter she should take her car to them if she ever needs work done.

The young lady at the front desk was awesome!! finding a good, fair mechanic is tough, but I feel I lucked out. Pretty quick service on an alternator replacement. Call ahead though, these guys are in demand some seasons and dont have infinite staff. Very friendly and helpful, and they provide advice about future repairs. They arent pushy either and are honest about diagnosing problems. Highly recommended especially since they arent far from a bus stop if you are without a ride.Would definitely go again.

The last place I would take my Vehicle. They made me a list of parts, shops? to have the work done? 500.00 and they said they Tuned my Truck. What has happened to the Auto repair business. They use a Logo of a Hot Rod but dont do the work or repairs.? Even bragged about doing Hot Rods? B.B.B. needs to check this out.

I called Scottys Auto Repair for information on repairing my 1990 s10.Samantha answered my call and asked me what kind of problems I was having with my truck.She explained that if the parts were available it wouldnt take long to repair.The problem turned out to be a disconnected injector.The truck was repaired and inspected for other problems that might turn up.Randy the mechanic and Samantha the receptionist clearly explained the work that was done. And on the receipt was a list of items that passed there inspection and a list of items that would need attention later on.The staff is very knowledgeable and experienced. My service van was overheating and I had product that needed to be delivered. This place was the closest in Maps, so I stopped here. The staff here is so friendly, and the mechanics fixed my issue and got me back on the road in no time. Highly recommended!

This place charged me two hundred dollars to incorrectly tell me my engine needed to be replaced. Went into the shop because my car had a loud screeching noise and was lurching as I drove it. Two days later they told me that the car wasnt worth fixing. Took the car to my friend for a second opinion.... He put some oil on the cam synchronized and it was fixed..... Took him ten minutes to fix what this shop couldnt even guess was wrong in two days. They told me it was, something inside the engine, and it cant be fixed! If you need more than an oil change, I wouldnt put much faith in this place... The people are nice and friendly and thats the only reason I could justify giving them one star.

I called the shop inquiring about my car. Some lady picked up and told me she would not tell me anymore information about what was wrong with my car unless I came in for a diagnostic. I know this is a standard procedure with most mechanics but an honest mechanic will tell you what is wrong with your car and quote you before ever having to step foot in a shop. I then asked to speak to a manager and she then proceeded to hang up the phone on me. Horrible customer service!!

Great people, took my Acura TL here to get smoged, the service was fast, friendly and no one tried to sell me anything. They also offered a free inspection of my car. Im switching mechanics to Scotts for all my service work from here on out.
