What is with this almost 100% increase in the billing???Not one thing has changed. There was no extra pick up, no overloaded container, and fact is I only had one pick up last month from my location. But my bill has almost doubled!!!This continues, and I will be cancelling Waist Managements services!!!
Hard to work with. WM only picks up recyclables every other week. So much for encouraging residence to recycle. My recycle bin is always more full than my trash bin. Why? Because I recycle, and its difficult to do when they only recycle every other week (in Rio Rancho). In San Diego, where I moved from? WM was top notch!
Waste management can be depended on for weekly pickup. If there will be a disruption in service due to a holiday, waste management promptly sends out emails with this information. Even if there will not be a disruption in service due to a holiday, they will still send out notices to inform their customers. Excellent job Waste Management!

Overall Waste Management does fairly well. I wish that (1) they would stop changing the time of day for pickup and (2) do a clean can exchange, especially for the black cans. Even tho I do bleach mine, after a week or so, the can starts to smell. Cant seem to keep it clean and non--smelly!
Answer your phone. We dont know how to get service and have had our call dropped three times. A fourth time will result in a one star. They hung up a fourth time. I say we contact the local government and ask them to hold this company accountable for poor service in our community.

I am beyond frustrated with Waste Management.!!! We sold our home and cancelled our service in February 2021. We have a credit on our account that should be refunded. I have called numerous times, written letters and send emails. Everyone in customer service had told me that they would check into it and get back to me. It is now the end of August 2021 and still no refund check. Why cant WM do their job and refund money that isnt theirs. Ive wasted hours of my time!
I think the services are poor. The landfill is a joke on top of a hill. Every time you go you need to wash your vehicle. People can’t look you up so if you forget your bill they turn you around. I have a driver’s license with my home address and they deny my free dump service, or Only accept cash!? Seems shady. it’s no wonder the mesa is full of trash.
Absolutely the worst dump in all of New Mexico customer service is horrible they overcharge they will charge you $40 more than the San Diego County dumpwood for the same exact load absolutely terrible plus they have an attitude and are just terrible at customer service
Sadly, RR has an extensive contract with WM - perhaps a coincidence that a former executive at the company sits on the City Council?Drivers chronically speed on residential roads. Drivers do not take care to see that bins actually empty into truck. Bins are slammed down, so that the companys drivers break their own equipment. Telephone reps are a mixed bag - some helpful, some not.One driver used to drive at 30+ mph on a street with a posted limit of 15mph. Messages left for management receive no response, or a Ill talk to them. Of course, drivers continued their behavior.Bill increased from $116 annually to $200+ while collection schedule was reduced.Finally, you are not allowed to rent a dumpster from anyone else - thats right, WM has a monopoly.One star awarded for reliability - WM does pick up the trash, and I do appreciate that.
Poor customer service high prices
Not authorized to change my payment online. WM virtual assistant is having technical difficulties. It almost does not want you to pay for the service. Also my other account still was not deleted after I called them. Still is active, even though i dont live there anymore.
They broke my trash bin and it’s not usable anymore, I’ve called 5 times and every time they said they would bring me a new trash can but it never happened! I’m very mad my trash can is broken because of them and they never came to replace is even if I called 5 times, you guys suck
Great experience. Yes, muddy, but it is a landfill and they water to keep dust down. Jeez. Customer service was great and very helpful. Took me an hour from my door and back. Good experience and my life is half a ton lighter.
I have a large family and Im here frequently with yard waste and the like. The ladies at the check-in always give clear directions and are very friendly. Theyre sweet to my kids and love my dog who normally comes with me. For the people who complain about the prices, you have lots of options in the area, but if you bring a bill proving residency you can drop off once a month for free.
I was supposed to have my cans delivered on Wednesday 02/03/21 but they never arrived and I have to call back now
I thought how bad could this place be if I get one free disposal a month. Its horrible, I called ahead and made sure I could come dump a truckload of stuff off today. When I get there Im told the landfill is closed. I had called a half hour before to see if it were open. I went on over to the Sandoval landfill, paid 4.75 and had 0 problems, didnt even have to weight the truck. This place is garbage and not in the way you want it to be.
We came in weighing 9620 lbs. & was told we owe $20. We asked about getting to dump 1000 lbs. free & showed proof of residency. According to registrations our 07 Toyota Tundra extended cab truck weighs 6900 lbs., trailer weighs 1300 lbs., plus 3 adults @ 200 lbs ea. This adds up to 8800 lbs. They said our outgoing weight was 7500 lbs. & charged us $16.75 because our trash was over a ton. Lets see: 9620 - 8800 = 800. So to dump up to 1000 lbs. is NOT free! Boo!

The lady that works in the front is such a wonderful nice person in this world of cruel angry people it makes life much easier.
I will go out of my way to go to Eagle Rock every time from now on. This place was horrible. And it cost $18.50 to dump one truckload. Ridiculous.
Enjoyed my visit! If you are a Rio Rancho resident, dumping is free as long as it is under 1000 lbs. I am unsure of what pricing is for non residents. When I arrived, my vehicle was weighed by the greeter. The greeter gives you a ticket and i drove to the top of the pile, public dumping, and dumped my items. My children were with me and were curious to know how our communities trash was dumped. After dumping, we went back to the greeter and weighed our vehicle again and we gave her our ticket. She was very courtous and informative also she gave my children lollipops. I will use this place again and again. I do recommend that when speaking with the greeter to step out of your vehicle due to the speaker being low, also know that youre responsible for unloading your items and that the roads are bumpy on the way up the pile. If you are wanting assistance in dumping I recommend calling the station for more info.

The ladies that work in the scale house are rude and only seem to want everyone elses life as miserable as theirs. I was bringing yard waste which consisted of a few weeds, 5-6 sage plants and a few small branches. The rude scale house lady said $40!! I was shocked at that amount more than the tone she used. Then said I had to put a $40 deposit down. I get to the top of the landfill, and am approached by a dozer. The operator gets down and wants me to sign a paper but wont let me read the paper. There were other people dumping but they didnt have any of them sign anything. Back at the scale house, the there was another rude lady who had charged us $25 and said we dumped 400 lbs of yard waste. There was no way in any logical way we had 400 lbs of yard waste . The scales need to be calibrated and the scale hi use ladies need a seminar on customer service and how to be a good person. I would highly recommend not using Waste Management for anything.
Was charged a 20 dollar deposit which I thought was fine. Then came back and was charged another 15 bucks on top of that. I didnt have more money so she asked me to leave my phone there and go get money. Had to go to the lowes to get cash back on one of my cards. Super expensive and they dont accept cards. Also fearing my tires would get a nail in one of them because you drive through trash to get to the dumping area.
This place was a disaster! They charged us for nonresident an extra 50%. Place was like driving your pick up truck to the mud bog nationals.The speaker to talk to the lady at the weigh master booth didn’t work.It would have been easier to write a message and holds up to the window.if I could have gave this zero stars instead of one star I would have but Google Will only let you put 1 Star. A real DUMP!!On top of everything else,A guy with a front end loaders came over just to yell at me.
Waste Management is definitive proof that for profit landfills are not worth it. Their customer service is horrid and theyre too expensive.
Showed up with half a truckload of yard waste i.e. Clipping, leaves, dead bushes. I even had the load tarped. I pulled up to the scale in the lady told me $17. I said how much ? Again she said $17. I told her Im going to the other one they charge 3-5 for green waste. Not going back over priced.
Great experience. I was handed a card and they let me in and promptly took the card back when I returned it. It was kinda smelly though. They pet crows were cute but I wouldnt recommend petting them though.

The lady at the weight station is rude as hell. I had never been to a dump. I was on the scale not sure of what to do. Lady was on the phone, facing me, wouldnt even look at me. I had my truck door open and waited for like 2 mins. I saw our load weight, still no eye contact. So I figured I was to drive up. I did, I drove all the way up,. Backed up THEN a worker says,. You need to go back down to the window, you never talked to anyone. OMG I was furious. I told the lady she was Fn ridiculous.
Reviews of this company really are a waste of time. They have a monopoly here in Rio Rancho and we have no choice other than to pay the exorbitant rates they bill you for. They dont care if they provide good customer service because they are still going to get your money. I was glad though to recently receive notice with my bill that as a Rio Rancho resident I could dump 1 free pickup truck load at the landfill. The flyer said to bring proof of residency, such as drivers license or utility bill. I loaded my old sofa into my Honda Element & went to the landfill, drivers license in hand. The woman at the entry was very aggressive & told me a drivers license was not acceptable, that I had to have utility bills. I told her I would come back with the bills & also the flyer saying I only needed a drivers license. She said dont bring the flyer, just the bills. This woman was extremely aggressive and rude before 2 words had come out of my mouth. I have filed a complaint with their main office. I attempted to contact the landfill directly with a number given to me by the main office. I get recordings saying I qualify for a Walmart Gift card if I press 1& also free road side assistance. If I decline these offers I get disconnected.
Dont know what is wrong with the scales but took a half load of brush and they said it weighted 500 lbs..... There was no way it even weighted 250lbs...25.00 what a ripoff and on top of it all lady at scales was rude as hell......no wonder they have a forty dollar down....the road was rough it stinks really bad...i can go on and on.....not recommended by any means
Local phone # mailbox is full. Cant get info on road conditions on website after rain. This shows very poor management. Review of personnel and operations probably overdue. Time to flush the toilet.
I am not sure how the lady at the weigh scale/ greeter even has a job. Very rude, unprofessional, not helpful, doesnt answer questions. I was amazed at her very poor attitude and I hope her leaders are aware of the reprentation they have at this site. Very poor experience Monday 8/19 @ 10:00am
Great place to take your trash
Last time I was here I was cussed at by a worker for apparently not getting close enough to the public area (there were a number of vehicles and my car had trouble getting through the trash). No respect or common decency from the staff; they treat you rudely especially if you have questions.
If you’re going to dump at this location, take your 80 hours worth of pay to dump along with all the trash you plan on taking.The people that work here need to dump their disgusting attitudes.
32.50 For a truckload that is ridiculous save yourself some money and a whole Lotta hassle driving through trash and head to the Albuquerque Eagle rock convenience Center 5.25 a truckload

Dont ever try to call them. I have a bill issue and have been on hold for 45 minutes hoping to talk to a human.
Did not physically go to this place, but the company has not picked up my trash for the second week in a row. All of my neighbors trash have been picked up, except mine. Someone needs to fix this please.
Poor service website claims cards are accepted, however once you pull up they only take cash or check. Update the website
The hours here are ridiculous. Close at noon on Saturday?? No wonder people dump illegally.
