I rarely leave a negative review or do reviews at all but I was so disappointed in my cut I couldnt just say nothing and Im doing this review right after I got home . I had Marcus as my barber with an appointment time of 5pm, arrived on time and didnt get seated until 5:23pm. I told him taper fade with a detached goatee. There were too many times where I had to correct him on what I was looking for and it wasnt symmetrical either, keep in mind Im not a very picky person with my cut just make it look good enough. I am a black man and maybe Marcus doesnt have enough experience cutting African American hair, I dont know. But the cut was bad enough to where I came home and corrected my sideburns and goatee myself. Im used to going to all black barbers but Im new to the area and decided to try someplace new. But after this experience Im going to have to think harder about where I go. $30 for a $10 cut and Im livid.

My usual barber was busy and I was in need of an urgent haircut. I looked this place up and saw that they had good reviews, I just wanted a regular buzz cut with a fade. I got a cut from Marcus. I asked for a buzz cut and a taper, seems simple enough but I spent an hour of my time getting a subpar haircut and didn’t want anything done with my beard but he cleaned it up anyway and charged me for a beard trim too. My fade is horrible and I won’t be coming back here personally, I saw the other barbers working right next to me and they were more experienced and definitely new how to cut hair but I wouldn’t recommend Marcus. For the price and the quality of the cut, you’re better off going to a barber school and they’ll get you a better cut for way cheaper.

First time going to this barber and I really like the fade I got. The barber I had was also very helpful with explaining the different types of maintainance I can do to keep my hair looking like that. Would definitely go back.

Phil is great. Super nice, gives Great Haircuts, and efficient with his time. My husband hates getting his haircut. Phil finishes in 10 minutes which my husband likes.

Just moved to this area...thought Ill give it a shot. Marcus did an ok job on my hair. I asked for the haircut and razor shave special which is like $25...I got the haircut but not the razor shave. He just trimmed it with the machine. I ended paying like $30. For that prize I can go to sport clips and get better service and pay about the same. This place was not inviting no one said we will be right with you. They just stare and act busy. Wont be coming back here again.

Never had a bad haircut here. In fact, after 5 years in Rosenberg, and many bad haircuts... This is the first time I have received great haircuts from the first visit until now. Sit in the chair of Marcus or Phil and youll walk away happy.

Owner is respectful. Be sure to ask level of experience when scheduling appointments with stylists. Shop is always clean.

I’ve been bringing my kids with me for two months now and every time I’m more impressed. The atmosphere is family friendly. I don’t have to worry about them hearing anything inappropriate and that’s big for me. I love that when I’m organized and actually schedule an appointment, they are committed to that time and the wait is minimal. I also love that when I don’t, anyone... I mean anyone in the shop can cut my children’s hair well! It’s very professional and the clientele keep the same energy!

I found this place by mistake and set up an appt. with Rob after walking in. Real clean place and he took care of business, gave me a mid bald fade with edge up and did it in less than 15 minutes. I’ll definitely be coming back

Extremely short and uneven. Wanted to keep length had to get buzzed the next day so my hair could grow back proportionately.

I went in for the first time and wasnt sure what to expect. Despite being booked, Phil the owner was able to get me in and did a great job of cutting my hair and trimming my beard.He gave me good advice about my hair and listened to what I wanted. I am definitely going back and glad to say I finally found my new barber!

INVISIONS & MVC Barbershop both located down the road offer better prices, a better experience, & have 4+ barbers on stop for a shorter wait time.I visited here earlier Saturday morning at opening (8am) and watched 3 people with no appointments go before me.2 got there 30min after I did. But because a barber recognized them they were seen before me. This place sucksI’ll be sure to let every know and share my experience.

I live close by. Had a haircut elsewhere that was not so good and wanted to try someplace new. A buddy told me a barbershop was in the strip mall by the library and should check it out. Went online to skim the reviews and was sold to try it out.I arrived just after noon. The line was pretty short at the point; though more customers began to arrive after 12:30. Inside was a simple, clean, wide-open layout and felt like a neighborhood barbershop. Many of the customers and barbers were on a first name basis. I came in the hope of getting a old-fashioned haircut, parted and winged to the side (Ex. Indiana Jones, Marty McFly, ect.). I asked, and the barber said, Yes sir. Around here, we just call that a haircut. Nothing fancy. He did not disappoint.The barber afterwards introduced himself as Phil, and I recognized his name from the reviews. Happy to have found out about this place. Ill be coming here from now on. Id recommend others to give it a shot.

The wait was ridiculous. We sat and waited for well over an hour and they continued to allow others. I asked to speak to the owner who just said they had appointment. Freaking ridiculous and a complete joke. The haircuts didnt even look good either. Waste of time and money. Not only that but the owner lied straight to my face. He told my son he was next. The person in the chair got up and he had someone else go sit in it. He tried to say well these people had an appointment. I get one or two appointments but spending nearly an hour and a half. There was no list to show wait times and we were not told a wait time. The owner lied about the other stuff so I was not inclined to believe him about bs appointment. It was ridiculous. So my child who waited quietly for over an hour didnt get his haircut because of this ridiculous owner. Plus on a Saturday you need more than 3 people working.. common sense wasnt their strong point either.

I used to go to an upscale barber shop in the Montrose District of Houston, 45 minutes away from me. Then, I heard about The Cut and Shave Barbershop literally 5 minutes from me. I watched them on Facebook for a couple months and based on the reviews, I decided to come in and try. I was HOOKED!!!I’ve been going to see Phil’s crew for about 7 months. I’m the type of guy who places implicit trust and faith in a barber and will not stray from that barber. So, imagine my worry when I came in and MY barber had moved away! Since I was there anyway, Alex Anzaluda asked if he could help me. I gave him a chance and he, like every other barber in the shop, was PERFECT! He listened to what I wanted, checked in throughout the haircut to ensure what he was doing was what I wanted, and executed it perfectly! We had great conversations, but, he didnt feel like he had to fill the silence with constant speaking. I liked that!The owner, Phil, is the consummate professional, friendly, genuine, honest, and a highly-skilled barber himself! Walk-ins are happily accepted, but, you can make an appointment for $5 more. The shop is clean, inviting, and well appointed. All of the barbers banter back and forth, between themselves AND the customers, just like the shops in the old days.They sell organic, natural hair and beard products that are local to the Rosenberg/Richmond/Sugar Land area. Theyre open on Saturdays which helps those of us who cant get there during the week.The moral to the story is, there are NO bad barbers here!!! I STILL will not go to any other shop, but now, I have a new barber in Alex! Come here. You will NOT be disappointed!!!
