Dr. Amy Brendal is superb. If all doctors and medical professionals had her bedside manner, kindness, patience and willingness to understand and serve their patients, it would transform the medical field for the better. The nurse Sarah was also lovely.
Kindness and knowledge prevail. I have been going there for twenty plus years.
They never rush me, give the time I need to understand what is going on. Excellent lab and xray/mammo staff as well.
I thought this was a good clinic but I was wrong. The doctor claiming she cant do no pain medication because the pain management doesnt give me medication. Im in extreme pain and you telling me I cant get nothing and with all thats going on shes making deal with pain with no pain medication. I asked a long time ago to get a prescription to get a chair and a shower chair. Why do I have to make a appointment to see here when the doctor know I have chronic pain? A bunch of liars here.
The worst clinic ever! On the day of my in-person appointment they called to notify that I have to do an online visit instead: We dont want you to come to the clinic with your symptoms. I had a simple respiratory virus and wanted to make sure there is not a pneumonia or bronchitis. How did the doctor plan to listen to my lungs online? They just wanted me to discuss my symptoms with a medical professional and get tested for Covid. Whats next? If the test comes back negative, only then they would allow me to come to the clinic. Keep in mind that the COVID test returns in 2-4 days, by that time Id either fully recover, or get complications. But if the test is positive, they recommend to (!) ISOLATE for 14 days but not to see a doctor to evaluate my health condition and determine a proper treatment plan. What about the treatment outcomes? How can you prescribe anything without seeing a patient?!
Dr Scherman is awesome and so is the staff! Helped get me a virtual appointment that day when I needed one to go back to work and Im very appreciative. I love Dr Armstrong as well hes my boy!!
Appts have been getting pushed back for 4 months... Still trying to get a check up... Went to the ER last weekend, scheduled a necessary follow up and now, they need to reschedule the night before the 8:00 am appt the next day... Im done with this clinic.
The reception desk is very welcoming. The staff has helped me right away when I arrive. Dr. Morrow is the best and she really try to understand her patients. My family including my parents have her as our family doctor but overall the clinic is great!
The doctor gets five stars. No complaints about care. However the pricing is awful. After a routine well-check (fully covered by insurance) I was invited by the doctor to ask questions. I did and after 30 seconds of discussion was given a $5 prescription for one mild issue. I then received a bill for $130 since getting a prescription meant it turned into an office visit which in turn triggered my deductible. At no point during the visit was I informed this would happen. I was also charged more for routine tests than expected for similar reasons. I appealed and was denied. The bill I got back after the appeal was double even the initial bill and I had to call to get it straightened out. They have no process for further review.
I have been going here most my life. I saw Dr. Mayer until he moved/retired almost 15-20 years ago, then I started seeing Dr. Morrow and I love her. Most of my family sees her. She has been with my family through all our highs and lows. A trusted family doctor, that does not happen often these days. Such a blessing. ❤️♥️❤️♥️
Always in and out quickly. Always get wonderful service by staff, nurses, and doctors.
This is not a review of the doctors, but rather a review of the receptionistsI’ve tried to make an appointment, and every time I’m on-hold for 15+ minutes. Never have I seen a staff so incompetent. Again, I can’t speak for the doctors at this location, but the staff is terrible
Im 68, seen many clinics and doctors. This clinic is one of the best. Responsive, prompt and professional from doctors to support staff. Never had a bad experience, and have been helped out many times in unusual situations
I’ve been going here to see Dr. Spears for years and everyone on staff is always great.
Thus clinic operates like the old days were doctors had bankers hours meaning they lack evening and Saturday schedules. Most clinics have these. Also very archaic process for RX renewals of ADD medications. My childrens clinic mails a written hard copy RX refill out monthly, on a schedule, directly to either our home or pharmacy, based on our preference. Another provider in the area submits the RX electronically directly to Target pharmacy. Why cant a large health system like Allina figure this out? Call the Richfield clinic for your refill and are told it will take a week to receive it in the mail. Or pick up in person, during their limited hours. For someone who has a job, in person pick up is not often an option.
Dr. Elizabeth Koffel is Wonderful!!They have many staff members that have been therefor years. Never have I had a problem with anyone.Everyone is always cheerful and happy.I have gone there for 15 years or more....
I wouldnt go anywhere else. I get the best medical advice and the best medical care Ive ever had and thats after 62 years! ALL of the staff are always happy and smiling and my doctor rocks!
Only Scheduling so far, but doctor was very kind, open minded, and all around great to talk to.Edit: Its been over a year and Im thrilled with the level of service that has been provided!
The Wood Lake Clinic does not have Doctors on-call. You cant even leave a message for (your) primary care giver. You have to speak with the providers answering service. Their answering service will tell you to go to the emergency room and that the On-call Doctors do not address prescription refills after hours... Its 6:00pm in the evening... Normal people work jobs. But, I guess an On-Call Doctor can not handle working while they are getting PAID for being On-Call. What a joke!
This office is top-notch! Seriously everyone I encounter is amazing. Excellent customer care. Dr. Elizabeth Koffel is wonderful.
Don’t even bother going to this clinic, their doctors don’t show up and they don’t even call the parents about it. I wouldn’t recommend this location at all.
I was greeting with a smile. The lady at the front desk was very kind to other patients leaving the clinic, offering to sit with a gentleman who was being escorted by his driver while she went and got the car.I was taken back on time and Dr. Peterson was extremely friendly and throughow with my care.the spent time talking to me and I didnt feel rushed what so ever.Being in healthcare myself, I know how tight schedules can be and how little time is allowed between patients. I just wanted to say thank you!!! Excellent job.
Dr Morris was condescending and made me feel dumb for asking questions about my medications. I do not recommend seeing him.
The care i got was wonderful, responsive, and may have just saved my life
Reception staff friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The medical staff were professional, friendly, and exactly what expect from my PCP office.
Our daughters see Dr Marc Salita and when hes not available Dr Havemann. I cannot say enough good things about these two. Our youngest daughter has some major complications when she was 6 weeks old. She stopped breathing and had contraption issues. He quickly sought out a specialist and gave us the referrals needed. He spend hours on the phone reaching out to doctors all over to help us find a diagnosis. He was amazing during a scary and challenging time. He would call and check on us. I cannot say enough good things about him.Dr Havemann has also gone out her way to help us. She is very motherly and knowledge at the same time. We adore these two!Oh and I cannot forget Jean, his nurse she is beyond amazing! So kind and great with both our kids. Wow I really adore this team. The front desk is also great to us. They know my kids and acknowledge them each time they arrive.Just a great group of people. Thanks Allina Woodlake for keeping a small clinic feel for a large facility.
No complain;
This has been the location for my daughters primary care physician for almost 10 years. They have a very caring staff, very knowledgeable, and they are great with kids.
They were not clear about the costs upfront.
Everyone is helpful
