This is the best vet Ive ever visited since my very 1st pet at the age of 9. My dog absolutely loves the staff and starts whining and barking as soon as we pull in the parking lot. He tries to jump out the window as soon as someone comes up to the car. The communication is amazing and I love how they go above and beyond to make sure our experience is always enjoyable.

We had to take our dog to a new vet because she had a lump on her side that had doubled in size within a week! The vet from this office told us it was nothing to worry about without doing any tests, X-rays, nothing, just poked the lump and said she was fine!! Beyond belief that a vet would be so careless with my baby girl!

How often do you find a vet that cares more about your pet than its owners feelings? How often do you find a vet that get your pet in immediately in an emergency?This place is amazing they have fixed my dogs shoulder that was out of socket and got me in within 20 minutes after I called. They also was able to diagnose a bacterial problem that most vets wasnt able to figure out.I sincerely trust them with my pet. And Im one of the weird ones that looks at his dog as one of my children. I highly recommend this veterinarian. By the way to me his prices are more than reasonable.

Found them on Facebook last year with a exam for only $1 which was awesome but they do get pricey after that but we love them we drive from obetz to take out pets. They are nice and get to the point. We love the nurses and vetanatians. But sometimes the Male vet can over talk you when your trying to let them know something or trying to answer a question he would ask. But other than that Id suggest people to go here.

This Veterinary office is way overpriced for the services they provide. There are other Vets with more reasonable prices for their services. This is a one vet office and with Covid you cant be with your pet while they are being treated. Even when x-rays are taken they arent brought out for you to view and go over with the Vet.

Have taken our dog there for quite a while. Always so nice and friendly. We also have her groomed at this location.

Skye is a DASH Rescue German Shepherd puppy we adopted eleven months ago. Dr. Halper describes Skye as high energy, lol, and the staff at the Hillview Veterinary Clinic / Bed and Biscuit, and Hillview Dog Daycare take extremely great care of Skye. Skye is not a whiney dog, but when I drop off Skye at the Doggy Daycare, she is so very excited that she cries, whines, and yelps until a staff member comes to the car to take her into the daycare. I love the convenience of dropping her off at the extremely affordable daycare, and request a veterinary visit, or get a bath, nail trim, or ear cleaning, while she is there. The entire staff is incredibly focused on caring for Skye, and it is important to me that she is with a well-trained staff that truly cares for her and is knowledgeable in assuring she receives the attention she needs.

I wouldve rate it higher but the experience yesterday was a mess. I was looking at my invoice and checking to see why my visits were so expensive. Found out they are double vaccinating my puppies. I told them from the initial visit that I paid for my dogs vaccinations for the 1st year through Shot Vet, so I was lost as to why they would do that. As I was trying to explain to the receptionist the situation she yelled at me that they have nothing to do with that company. She was very rude and obviously had a hearing problem because I was asking a question about why they did what they did. She never apologized for the rudeness. I will not be back. Yall not professional if I tell you from the start that Ive already prepaid got vaccines and still vaccinate them. Overcharging me for what Ive already paid for. Then she said theres no harm in the double vaccine four the puppies. Glad they dont work with humans.

This was our first time using hillview. Our dog Samson spent five nights at the bed & biscuit he also was seen by the vet. It absolutely was a great experience and Samson will be returning to hillview veterinary clinic not only as a patient but also as a friend to all the other fur babie. Samson had such a great time he questioned whether he wanted to leave when I picked him up ☺️. The girls at the bed & biscuit were absolutely great on the phone in person in every way. The vet called me and let me know about Samsons exam and he was very thorough. So glad I chose hillview bed and biscuit!

Ill apologize now for the length of this...I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. They are rude, dishonest and care more about the money than the animals in my opinion. I originally scheduled with a different vets office but was not overly impressed with the person I had spoke with so kept looking. When I spoke to Mary at Hillview I immediately scheduled with her and canceled the other because she was so friendly. My husband dropped our puppy off as scheduled and was provided with a cost sheet for the services that he was asked to agree to and sign, which he did, however forgot to mention the internet special so Amanda fixed his sheet (in front of Mary I might add, who we found out is the manager), circled the amount due and he left. When we went back, Sadie checked us out and stated we owed more. When he stated that wasnt the price agreed to and provided his paperwork she got extremely nasty and stated that the handwriting wasnt anyone of theirs (insinuating that we changed the price) and she couldnt charge us that. Another employee witnessed this exchange, looked at our form and stated that is Amandas handwriting Sadie didnt want to hear it and started breaking everything down again even louder. I told her I understood the services provided and didnt want to hear her read the list again, that we were given a price and they should honor it. She kept getting louder and nastier. I asked for the manager. She called Mary and I stated again that they knew the procedure they were doing and should have listed everything at the time; not added to it after a price was agreed to. Long story short, they refused to honor the price quoted and they took back the antibiotics and pain medicine that our puppy was prescribed. Absolutely appalling to me...when you make a mistake own it and fix it.

We have been bringing our dog and cats to Hillview since 2011 and have always been happy with the doctor and staff. We board our dog there when we are out of town and he seems to enjoy it.

I typically use Hillview for boarding which has been great on each of my 3-4 boards to date. This review concerns my last visit for a flu shoot for my dog. All was handled very nicely and professionally. The only issue I had was not knowing that there was a 3% “convience fee” to use the credit card (we all like our points😊). Anyway It will not be a future surprise now that I am aware of the fee. All else is great!

The vets are awesome and very straightforward, being sure to explain everything so that we understand! They take the time to listen and answer all questions! Unless we move far away, we will always take our fur-babies to Hillview!

Very expensive! Never got a follow up call after surgery. Didnt seem to care how my pet was doing after surgical procedure. Also when I inquired about why my cat was given a flea treatment when he never had fleas. I was told that he did have them. Even though he he is strictly an indoor cat (NEVER outside). I was never shown or told about the fleas at his initial exam or drop off prior to surgery. I was only told about this when I went to pick him up after surgery. I then tried to explain that there was no way possible for Soft Kitty to have gotten fleas at home. He is not outside or around any other animals ever. I was then told that I could have brought home fleas from work and given it to him without even knowing it. REALLY...I am a surgical tech...I work in the OR. I promise you I did not bring fleas home to my cat from the operating room. It is just a scam they run to get more money out of you. They were never able to show me any fleas on my cat but I had to pay for the flea treatment they gave him without my prior consent.

My boy Peanut was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Dr. Halper and his team took great care of him when he needed to be hospitalized. Thankfully my kitty is back at home and doing much better! Both of my cats will keep going to Hillview :)

We moved to Reynoldsburg 2 months ago, I took our dog Ozzie to the groomer @ hillview last week, he was happy and we were happy with the service the groomer provided. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hillview Vet takes time to explain and answer any questions looking forward to boarding Ozzie next month.

Will never come back here again.They hurt my dog By squeezing her trying to hold her down cutting her nails and they claim they didnt do anything. I tried to tell them I needed to go back and hold her and they said no so I will never ever go back here.

We had a very positive experience with Hillview this week after we had to rush our dog in with an injured leg. Dr. Josh diagnosed the problem and treated our dog using laser therapy. A day after the first round of laser treatment, our dog was standing and walking -- this feels like a miracle because just two days earlier he couldnt get to his feet without help. Our dog had his second laser treatment today and I am in awe at how well it is working to heal him. I am so happy and relieved to see my dog moving well and not in pain.Weve taken our pets to Hillview for years and we will continue to do so. Dr. Josh is a great vet and very knowledgeable, and he and the Hillview staff are always friendly and caring.

We have been friends with Dr. Josh and his staff for as long as he has been there. You could not ask for a nicer group of people to take care of your pets. Dr. Josh has helped us from the beginning to the end of life with several of our pets and we were always treated as family from Dr. Josh and his staff. When you have to say goodby to a great friend, they help you do it in a comforting and supportive way. I would follow Dr. Josh to any other location if he would ever leave, but I hope I wont ever have to. We have an older cat and Dr. Josh explains everything that we need to do for her and takes all the time we need when we go in for our visits. I just cant say enough about Dr. Josh and his staff. They are all WONDERFUL :)

Mr. Petes owner passed away and we agreed to take this 8 year old Standard Poodle for a month. Mr. Pete was diagnosed with a spinal nerve injury and was a miserable physically limited dog with chronic pain. Surgery was not a viable option. We were considering acupuncture and chiropractor therapy. On a whim we decided to try the 1$ consulting offer. Dr. Joshua recommended hot laser therapy. We had some misgivings but investigated this therapy and decided to give it a try. Dr. Joshua helped us with cost issues and after 14 sessions Mr. Pete is so happy and crazy active. Thanks to all of The Hillview staff.

Dr. Halper and the staff at Hillview are excellent! We took our cat there when he was experiencing urinary issues and they quickly figured out what was wrong and he was back to normal quickly. They also helped us when our dog became very ill and we had to make the decision to put her down, they were so compassionate and caring during a very difficult time for our family. They have evening hours and are always friendly. I would recommend this vet to anyone in the area! It can be hard to find a vet that wont try to talk you into unnecessary testing or medications but Dr. Halper is realistic and will give you all of the options which I appreciate.

The best veternarian in the area! His staff are tops too and very caring. We went to him for 18 years with Molly and now he sees our 8 year old puppy mill dog Millie. Im so impressed at how Dr Halper takes care of senior dogs. Dr Halper is the doc that will sit down and shed a tear with you when your pet dies. Hes has a true calling to be a vet. He has additional degrees that enhance his veternary skills so you get quite a lot when you see Dr Halper! Our girls love you all at Hillview and so do we!💗💗

I took my dog, Pugsley, there for a physical, thinking it would be a nose to tail exam, fecal test, vaccs, etc. Pug also has mast cell tumors that needed looked at. The doctor looked at him, looked at the tumor, gave me two referrals to soft tissue surgeons, and that was about it. We were charged $1 for a new patient exam, and frankly, that was about all it was worth.Fast forward to after the post-soft-tissue surgeon consultation, I made an appointment to speak with the doctor about palliative care, since surgery/cancer treatment is financially not an option. Dr. Halper did NOT listen to what I was saying and what I needed and continually interrupted me when I was speaking. I felt completely ignored. From what Ive been told, he even speaks to his employees in that manner. I will NOT return to this practice.*****4/18/19Pugsley is no longer with us, as his cancer had spread. We decided to contact Lap of Love and he passed peacefully at home with everyone who loved him. I received a card from Hillview, which promptly went into the trash. Keep your condolences.

I am a long-time client of Hillview Veterinary Clinic and love Dr. Josh and his staff! My Mandy had been showing signs of age with apparent discomfort in her hips. She had been taking medicine, sometimes after putting up quite a fight or trickery to get her to take it! Then Dr. Josh talked to me about laser light therapy for her. What a difference it has made for Mandy! Her mobility has improved noticeably and I cant thank Dr. Josh enough for offering this form of therapy for her. I know that when my other baby, Mr. Darcy, begins to experience any age related discomfort in his joints I will opt for the laser light therapy for him in a heartbeat! Thank you Dr. Josh and Staff of Hillview Veterinary Clinic!!

Stopped going to Hillview years ago after vet gave my dog vaccine I didnt authorize and when I stated this he said....well we dont treat any dogs here unless they are vaccinated first. I took my dog in for something completely different but he still expected me to pay for vaccine. Also I asked for script for heartworm med because I ordered it from Dr. Fosters & Smith online because it was cheaper. Dr. Halper balked at giving it to me because he wanted me to buy it at Hillviews higher price.Insinuated I was lying when I told him how much less it cost me from the Dr. Foster & Smith site. His exact words were I dont believe it. I cant even get it for that price. I was DONE after that. That place is all about the money. Dont waste your time folks.

We are absolutely blessed to have found Dr. Halper! our Little 13 year old Reggie (yorkie-poo) had become so miserable with skin problems, ear infections, black spots, loss of hair and itching constantly so that he could not sleep, and just generally not his usual playful self. He was treated for more than a year with antiobiotics, ear drops, everything possible, and nothing worked. His ear was completely swollen shut. Next step was ear surgery.AND THEN we found Dr. Halper, who we call our “miracle Vet”. He immediately realized the under lying problem was a food allergy; within 30 days there was noted improvement.... and it got better by the week. Now we have a ear infection free doggie, no more scratching, he’s playful, great appetite on the food prescribed. All hair is grown back, no more black spots! It is nothing short of amazing. And Dr. Halper is the most caring personable Vet we have ever seen. The entire staff at Hillview are just great; so friendly and helpful. We will never take our “babies” anywhere else. Thank you Dr. Halper, from the bottom of our hearts!

I took my Shih Tzu Snoopy to get groomed and he never trusts anyone so every time he got groomed he needed to be sedated however I don’t know how but Dee was able to get him groomed, for the first time without sedation and he was ok with her... I was so grateful and surprised that it made me emotional just to see how good he was without being sedated and this was the first time ever and first time being at Hillview Veterinary clinics and their grooming spa. I am so happy that I definitely will take Snoopy back there to Dee for a re do and most definitely refer all my pet friends to Hillview’s grooming! Thank you Dee!!!

I waI called Hillview veterinary Clinic from the parking lot of Reynoldsburg vet clinic after being told they couldnt put my suffering pet ahead of the appointments.I was told by the very sweet receptionist at Hillview to come right over. We are sitting at here at the clinic right now. The doctor got him right in, (ahead of appointments) took xrays and is setting his broken leg. Even worked with me on payment.I HIGHLY recommend this vet! They care :)

DR. HALPERS MISDIAGNOSIS KILLS OUR DOG!! (Not Just Ours)Took our dog in because she was not eating or drinking. Wanted a full cheek up. Dr. Harper said it was because she had inflamed gum on one side. Gave her two shots, prescribed two meds and said she would be fine. Our dog died the next morning. TOTAL MISDIAGNOSIS. She wasnt eating or drinking because she was Dying. Our only kid is now dead because of this doctor.While my wife and I were out talking about it, a man over heard our conversation and said That sounds familiar, who was the vet? Told him Halper on east Main St. He said he too took his dog to Dr Joshua Halper and he gave his dog a shot, told him the dog will be fine and sent them home with meds. His dog died the next day. SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THE DOCTORS TREATMENT!!! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!

The vet asistant asked me why i was there i told her i was looking for a new veternarian closer to home and to have my dog examined really well for skin problems she took my dog away from me took him behind closed doors out of my view gave him to a doctor that i have never met and then Dr Halper (introduced himself after treating my dog) came out and told me what he DID to my dog. He shaved a spot and injected him with something that he said wont cure the problem (so why give it to him) and a perscription for some pills that should help slow down the itching he didnt tell me anything else about the healh of my dog or any further treatments that would be made known at the exam I FELT THAT THIS WAS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IVE EVER RECEIVED FROM ANY VETERNARIAN!
