I have taken other cars in to have them worked on and had excellent service. The labor and parts was reasonableThis time the work and labor was good, but when I reviewed the bill afterwords the price of the parts was like triple the price at the auto store.I have to say the mechanics are fast and do a great job but I got overpriced on the parts. Most likely not going back.π
Weve been bringing our cars to Jason and his team for a couple years and weve been very impressed. Recently, the engine in my truck totally seized up and needed to be replaced. I got quotes from several shops and Jasons was $1,000 less than the closest competitor. Once he got working it ended up being a longer project than he anticipated but my final bill still came in right at the price he quoted me. I will continue to trust Jasons Auto with my vehicles for a long time.
Knowledgeable mechanics. Fair and honest. I will be taking all my vehicle needs the them. Say hi to Jason.
I was having trouble with my car constantly dying. I took it to OReillys to have the battery checked and they told me that I need to get a new alternator. So I took it to Jasons to do just that, but they wanted to check everything first to make sure that it really was my alternator that needed replacing. After leaving my car there for a day, they called me back and said that my alternator was just fine and that my battery charge was just really low. They charged my car up and I was good to go. All of this was FREE! They didnt charge me for their time, for charging up my battery, or even for my car being there over night. They are honest and good people. Definitely will go back again!
Brought my car for diagnostics and got an incorrect diagnosis, however I wasnt charged for anything.I was feeling grinding from the rear on tight turns, sounded like it was coming from the diff. My CV axle boots were both blown, but the joints were still good. Jason said that the CV axle was the issue, which I know wasnt the issue because the sounds would be coming from the front and it would be a clicking noise, not a groaning/grinding. Replaced them myself just to prove my point and sure enough its still groaning / grinding from the rear to this day.
My car was having a starting issue so I brought it in. I paid $75 for an inspection, but they found nothing wrong with the starter, but something with the rear tires which cost me over $400. I then picked up my car only for it to still have starting problems. Soon after, my hose popped off on my radiator due to a missing clamp and my engine is now shot. Im not much of a car person so I didnt notice the missing clamp, but the fact that I paid nearly $500 for them to fix the one issue they didnt and for them not to notice a missing clamp is nothing short of ridiculous and incompetent.
Wow. Jasonβs automotive is one of the most professional and helpful mechanics Iβve ever been to. I fully trust them and I will be using them for all my mechanic needs. They fixed both an engine problem I had early one morning with my Avalon and then new axles They put on my 4Runner the same week. From the receptionist to the work they did, I just couldnβt be happier. Thank you!!!
I go to Jasonβs for everything. Professional, quick, and seemingly always quote me more in the beginning than they charge me for in the end. People ask on community Facebook pages who to go to for car maintenance/fixing and thereβs always a horde of people recommending Jasonβs, and I always make a point to recommend them too. Search no longer.
They got me in right away when my check engine light came on. They were quick to diagnose the issue and gave a fair estimate for repairs.
These guys did an amazing job replacing my clutch at a reasonable price. They even stayed a little late on Friday afternoon to get it finished up before the weekend. Quality crew, quality service. Thank you!
Jasons Automotive is by far the most trusted auto shop Ive ever been to. They only repair what actually needs repairing and they are honest with their work. They have also taken the time to help educate me on cars and what to look for when shopping for cars. They care about their clients and take the time to help you! Only Auto repair store I trust in rexburg!
We broke down on a road trip and Jasons was able to get us in and fix our car. They were very nice, knowledgeable, and got us on our way fairly quickly.
These guys are the best!!!! They helped my daughter with an overheating issue got her back on the road in no time. Then followed up a few days later just to make sure she got home. Great service.
This is my personal experience. Worst place and worst customer service. They charge me around $300 for my a/c panel. They gave it to me but they did not check if the panel work. Funny!!! It took them like 3 more weeks to be able to fix it again. I called the receptionist many times and she did not even care. Never again!
They are super honest. They barely charge me enough for their labor. If they make a repair and it breaks soon after, they replace it free of charge. If they break something by mistake, they replace it free of charge. If they did not catch something during a previous maintenance, they replace it free of charge. If a new part is not needed, they will give me the option to do a workaround and save me money. If the workaround fails, they will not charge for the labor to fix it.They will let me know if a part is wearing out but still has many more months of life in it. I can then budget for the upcoming expense.
Went in for a broken exhaust and asked them to also check my timing belt. Paid almost 1000 for the exhaust and they told me everything else was perfect. Less than 2 weeks later my timing belt breaks and destroys the entire engine on my way to U of U for a really important drs appointment. Almost missed the appointment. Had to get a new car and borrow money from a lot of places that a year later I am now finally paying off.Dont go here.
Very honest and reputable shop. We were from out of state and had a truck issue. Not only did they squeeze us in at the last minute, they let us leave the vehicle overnight. Gave us a very thorough explanation of our problem. There was so many opportunities to take advantage if they were not honest. Thanks again!
Their rates are very reasonable and fair. They also do quality work and donβt skimp on service or parts! Theyβre also very knowledgeable! I plan on going to them if anything happens! (I hope nothing else happens)
Latasha is brilliant and efficient at the desk, and Jason and his crew are honest and competent in their work. All my vehicles go there for maintenance. Charges are always fair, warranties honored, and treatment absolutely professional. Highly recommend!
Jasons is not like the normal automotive repair place people are use to now days--he will tell you how it is and give you an honest opinion and estimate. Does great work and wont B.S. You. I bring my work truck in there often and he has always been very fair! I never have to question the charges or the service!
Very happy with services. Nice lady up front and I assume I was talking to Jason and his work and customer service is also 4 stars.
Very professional operation. Nice people as well. Overall very positive experience.
Great service. Great prices! Very personable. Jason is more interested in your car running right and you being happy, than he is about the cost. I highly recommend this place!!
Very quick and personable! Took the time to understand the problem I was having without any assumptions which was refreshing.
Jasonβs automotive has earned my business time and again. They are hard working, honest, and upfront with all their work. I would recommend them to everyone. They really care about customer satisfaction and making sure things get done right. If you need a repair, donβt hesitate in choosing Jasonβs automotive!
Why go elsewhere? Fast service cheaper than expected.
We have had our cars fixed here several times. The price is always comparable and well done! This last time, they fixed my hudbands clutch, but after driving it home he noticed it still wasnβt 100%. They took the car and will fix it again, they warranty their services thankfully. A frustrating situation but the customer service was great! We will continue to use them for our car needs!
People in our neighborhood have recommended Jasons for quite some time and when we got a high quote from another shop in town on a bad sensor we decided to take our Honda Odyssey into Jasons. The other place had quoted us over $500 and Jasons said they could replace the sensor for $225...and then they did fix it and we were only charged $188. Its been months, and the light has not come back on. I will be going back and have already recommended them to our friends who were happy with the work Jasons did on their alternator.
Jasonβs team has always been great to work with. He is really committed to his customers and wants them to have a great experience. They are up front, honest and very fairly priced. Totally recommend.
Great company and great people easy to work with. they always have the customer in mind.
Every time I go in there, I feel like I am stopping by my neighbors house and just meeting up with him in the garage.Jason and his whole team do their best to help me out and they have always made me feel like a person, not just a customer. From changing oil in both my vehicles, to replacing a motor in my truck, I have always trusted Jasons auto and have never been let down!
I have been going to Jasonβs for several years now and I have always had a positive experience.
They fixed my car-it was in the same condition I gave it to them. The owner said he would take care of it himself, and he did not. They said multiple times it would be done at a certain time, and it never was. They never called to inform us that it would be finished later; we always had to call to confirm that it was still not ready. The receptionist was not compassionate about the situation whatsoever. It was unprofessional, and they were never on time.
I absolutely love going to Jasons Automotive. They are honest and want to save you money. I have being going to them for a few years now and I have never had a bad experience. If you are ever having car troubles, go to Jasonβs.
Iβve gone here twice within the last two years - first was to get my wheel speed sensor replaced and the second was to replace the alternator. Iβve had a lot of bad experiences with mechanics in the past... mostly because theyβll take advantage of your ignorance by manipulating you into spending money on things that donβt need repaired. As far as Iβm concerned, these guys are the real deal - theyβre honest, punctual, and very professional. Also, their prices are relatively cheap on a college budget! :) 10/10 reccomend.
I called to get some advice on a problem I had with my car because Im leaving for a road trip in a few days and the receptionist was very rude. Of course you are, and good luck finding anyone else in town to help you with your car before then, were her exact words. I dont understand how someone could be so discourteous. I understand people call around to get quotes from different shops and that can be annoying, but her impertinent and ill-mannered attitude was not justified. Im sure you guys give great service, but you wont receive any business if this is how your customers are treated.
I love this place! I always took my cars here before I moved. They always gave me a fair price and explained everything in detail to me. They have even fixed multiple issues free of charge.
Jasons auto is a great place to get your car repaired. They have been very honest to me every time that I have gone in and gotten a repair done. The people there have been wonderful about communicating to me what is wrong with my car, how much it will cost, and what they can do to repair it. They replaced the clutch in my Volkswagen Bug (it was really high), and it hasnt given me issues since. They have also done a number of maintenance and repairs to my Ford. I couldnt be happier with the service we have received.
Jason is amazing, personable, and honest. We wonβt take our cars anywhere else π―
Excellent staff and excellent work.
They are honest Mechanics who care about the customer. Very reasonably priced. 10/10 would do business with them again.
Going to this garage since 1997. Jason and his dad always great service and crazy fair prices.
I will always recommend Jasons Automotive for any and all automotive repairs. They are not part changers, they are real mechanics that can diagnose and repair. Honest, efficient and dependable.
Ive been in a few times with different vehicles and all good experiences. Customer service was really good. All of the work I have had done has been in a timely manner. One time they had to order a part in that was very understandable because it was a rare item. Im definitely very satisfied with Everything.
Simply awesome! Incredibly fair people. Great customer service.
Jasonβs has been awesome to work with over the years. Thanks
Great service at reasonable prices.
Very happy with work done.
Iβve taken my cars here several times for different repairs. Iβm mechanically inclined but lack the resources to do many of my own repairs. I have always felt that they are upfront and honest while quoting and charging a reasonable price. Theyβre in constant communication if there are changes to the repair or time in which it will be completed.
I had a really good experience when I took in my truck. They checked it out for free and gave me a professional recommendation. When I comparison shopped around town for the best deal on parts and labor, I couldnt find anything better. On top of that they were friendly too so I as far as Im concerned that is as good as it gets.
Honest! Good at their job. Ethical. Wont run up the bill with unnecessary things. Suggest alternative cheaper methods. Extremely fair and low priced. We trust them and recommend them to others.
They do very good quality work for good prices, but they are really hard to communicate with. Id go pick up my car after they did some repairs only to find that they only did half of what I had asked. Id have to keep calling to check on my car because they wouldnt always call me with updates. I think there was also some miscommunication between front desk and the mechanics in the back. Also, the last time we went in was because the front of our car was vibrating a lot. We thought it might be the front struts. They said it wasnt but that it might be the back struts??? We trusted them, did an expensive repair, and it didnt fix anything, but when we picked it up they said, Oh yeah, and you will want to get those front struts replaced soon. Aside from these issues, they seem honest and do good work.
Amazing shop. Jason and his staff know what they are doing and do great quality work. They are honest and want to earn your business. Highly recommended to everyone in Rexburg. This is the only shop in town we ever take our trucks to.
Best mechanic in town! I personally feel theyβre honest, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. The only place in town I trust with my car.
They were almost $400 less than one of the other auto shops in town and were able to get me in and out fast. They also found a dangerous problem with a hub and replaced it for me as well. Friendly people and good prices.
I feel that the men that fix my car did a wonderful job. It was over heating and after fixing it I didnt have any problems. However, the woman that picks up my calls and set the appointment for me was just a person really difficult to communicate with. She speaks very fast and tries to get to the main point of the problem, but could come off rude and I feel like shes trying to just get the conversation over with. I need to know exactly whats being done to my car and I need to ask some questions so if she could just be a little more patient with customers and listen to their needs-it would reassure us of where our money is going and what needs to be done. I feel that it is very unprofessional and that would turn most customers away of how she makes customers feel. But we like Jason automotive because the men are great at what they do. That woman is just the only poor review I have about. Thank you.
This place was incredible I got my car in and within a day I got a call letting me know the problem and it turns out it was nothing serious and they told me.how to take care of it myself. Nicest people ever! I seriously recommend giving them a shot theyll treat ya great!
I have now taken my car to them three times, the first time went really well. The second time was a nightmare and the third time has been fantastic so Iβm not really sure why the second round had so many issues. I kind of think that was just a glitch. There service time is a little slow but otherwise itβs been mostly positive.
Weve got to Jasons many times. They are very honest with you and always call to confirm repairs before doing it. They offer different things for the repair to pass the savings on to you, or if you want to do something a little different (new part vs used part) they will always ask what you want to do as the customer and owner of the vehicle.
Great mechanic work. Crappy customer service. Make sure you always get the final cost from them over the phone. They didnt communicate to me my final cost on work I got done and I ended up paying an extra $300 dollars. It should be common sense for them, but they dont do it,
Totally honest, trustworthy and competent. Ive used Jasons maybe a dozen times now. They always do me right. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else.
They are honest and comunicate well
An honest mechanic is a wonderful thing.
Called a whole bunch of places to troubleshoot the computer in my car and everywhere wanted to charge me 90$. He took it in for me and found there was no real problem and didnt charge me a penny. Its hard to find honest mechanics. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their car. Great service!
Great service an excellent work
Diagnosed my problem immediately and went out of his way to get me back on the road in minutes!!!On our way to see the Solar Eclipse!!! Great Service at a Great Price!! I highly recommend this company!!
These guys are thee best in town, hands down. I will never bash any other auto place in town, there are a lot of great places out there, but all in all, especially if youre on a budget, and dont feel like being shaken down by someone with a more superior knowledge, these guys are honest and will make are completely empathetic of your financial situation. Ive walked out of there wanting to pay more than the charge. Just be sure to schedule as soon as possible, so that you can get a spot.; they are SUPER popular!!!
Best service Ive ever had. Also, the cheapest in town. Ive never had to bring my truck back in for screw-ups. I highly recommend them. (Plus, they are very polite.)
I was shocked at their integrity, and honesty. My jaw literally dropped when they told me how they were going to handle a difficult situation that often happens during car repairs. To put it simply, any other mechanic could have easily taken advantage of the situation and charged me 2000.00 more dollars, without me knowing, but these guys were totally transparent and honest, even taking a loss in order to make sure they were doing a good honest job, and making sure I was satisfied. This is my second time sending my truck to these guys who have consistently been up front, honest, and 100% willing to work with me to make sure I was happy.Jasons should be the first place you consider bringing your vehicle to when youre in a bind. Theyre more than fair, have fair pricing, and are just pleasant to work with which is so rare in this industry.Theyre the only mechanic in Rexburg that deserves your business.
Had an 02 sensor code being thrown at me for sometime until it threw a code saying it wasnt registering at all. I tried to get to it myself as it was obvious it had never been replaced but didnt have to tools, time, or know how (it was quite rusted) to get it out. Gas mileage got really good then got extremely terrible.Got a quote from these guys on an estimated cost to replace it. Kept to their word and got it done. Great mechanics and great people. I was getting between 12-15mpg on a 13gallon tank V6 motor and now it looks like I could get another 100 miles almost on this tank... these guys will be working on my outfit from now until Im no longer in the neighborhood.Great cost, very time efficient, great mechanics.
Jasons is a local small town family owned automotive shop. They are wonderful to work with and are honest with all customers. They did an excellent job with my vehicle. I will go there for the rest of my time here in Rexburg.
Always honest, always fair, always gets me out the door safely and at the best price. I have been using Jason for years and no on else in the area compares. Its hard to find a mechanic that you can completely trust and not worry about them overcharging you. Glad I found one.
Friendly staff. They looked at my car and called me to let me know the problem and to get my okay before jumping in and fixing it. They gave me an estimate of $140 to replace the power steering hose, which I thought was a little high, but really needed to get it fixed. In the end, it only cost $100. I was impressed that even though they had given me a quote for more, they didnt jack up the price to the $140. Seem like honest workers. My only complaint was I didnt get a call when they finished working on it.
They were great to work with and very friendly. They call you by name and tell you exactly what theyre going to do and how much it will be. Great work for a great price.
Needed a new Alternator. The guy installed Alternator model # 213-3158G (look it up) charged me $300 for the part + labor. The part really costs $182 (again, look it up). Total $400 for a simple alternator swap. That is ridiculous, and very dishonest. Would not recommend. Napa will be contacted about this issue.
Jason is an amazing mechanic. I refer him to people all of the time. The only downside is he is so good he has a lot of work going on.
I am extremely impressed with the great customer service of the owner, Jason. What began as a poor experience ultimately ended positive because of him.My husband dropped off our car to have the transmission oil changed and asked the front desk employee to look over the rest of the car and make a list of what needed replaced because we suspected a belt was going bad. My hubby asked them to call and let him know what they found. A few hours passed with no update, so he called them. They informed him that the belt was going bad like he suspected. However, instead of taking a few minutes to call and talk things over with my husband, they took the liberty to change the belt without speaking with him. My husband was not very pleased because we didnt have the money budgeted for the extra bill, but he was in a hurry so he paid and left.I was very unhappy when I found out after work and asked my husband to go back in and talk with the owner to make sure a similar situation didnt happen to anyone else. As soon as he had even finished telling the story, Jason offered to give my husband a full refund for the part and labor of the belt we had not approved to have replaced. Say what? I have never heard of an auto-motive shop owner who is willing to take a loss in order to please a customer. Jason didnt even bat an eye. It was easy to tell his main objective was to provide a great experience for his customers. Imagine the type of work that sort of integrity merrits. Jason is not the type of person to allow sloppy or poor work to leave his shop. Although, mistake are bound to be made, this automotive shop will work nonstop to fix them. Which is more than can be said about most mechanics.I am extremely impressed; five star, quality work all the way. I plan to return in the future whenever work needs done on any of our cars.
They were honest and straight forward about EVERYTHING! I didnt feel like he was trying to rush me or get a sale. I felt like he (the guy in the office... jason?) honestly understood the car and wanted to help me understand my options. Was very flexible with communication and work.
Very kind people, however, I have had a few issues over my last couple visits. One was that they apparently didnt fix the radiator they had worked on a few months earlier, and then, after telling me that my broken radiator may have been the cause of my engine overheating (and ultimately breaking), I reminded them that it was them that changed my radiator, and then they changed their story, saying that the radiator had nothing to do with the engine problems.
Jon was really helpful in explaining everything, I even learned a few things it was overall a great experience, I wish I had someone like him in my hometown.
Very honest, hard working company and employees. Def recommend them
I have to put this here, because some how this mechanic has beat rates of all others in town for numerous repairs I have had done. Bryan was an awesome guy and came out and helped me without rush. He explained things even when I was frustrated, because it seemed ridiculous to replace something I had just replaced a couple years ago, but he was right and very patient. There was an O2 sensor on after they worked on the car, and it bugged me that it wasnt on before my car went in the shop. They fixed it later though, and it isnt a real complaint. They saved me so much money. It was hard to tell when my car would be done, but they did a great job as far as I can tell.I dont believe they tried to take advantage of me in any way like everyone else in town.
Jasons Auto is the best auto shop in the valley. They treat me great there. They take the time to explain what is wrong with the vehicle and they normally have a couple prices to choose from when it comes to fixing a major problem. I have taken my car there 3 times for major problems and the price is always amazing. I can take my car in to get a quote and get it out the same day fixed. The most recent problem I needed fixed was four new struts a CV axle and a wheel baring it was under $700. Les Schwab Quoted just the struts at $810. The service is amazing at Jasons Auto I highly recommend them to everyone!!
Great people, fast service and good communication.
Jason is a very sharp mechanic. I had an issue with my cummins that had been to another shop in town and they were in way over their head. I heard about Jason and brought him my truck. He and his crew spent the time to diagnosis the problem correctly and got me back on the road. His whole staff are very people oriented and want to earn your business. If you have a diesel or a tough problem on your vehicle Jasons is the shop to trust.
One of the best in rexburg
This shop will take advantage of college kids. Brought my car in to get fixed, ended up breaking worse after I got it fixed. Donβt go here
Friendly staff. High quality work that is guaranteed. Very popular. I always go to Jasons FIRST!
They do high quality work at a fair price. I was very impressed and happy!
I have had my share of issues with Mechanics in both Idaho and Utah. Jasons has every single time been straight forward with me and extremely fairly priced. I have personally recommended this mechanic to multiple friends and they have all thanked me for doing so.
They always have treated me right!
I cannot recommend Jason and his team any more than I already do. Time and time again theyβve delivered precisely what theyβve stated.
Super good service the secretary is amazing and their mechanics know what theyre doing they were more than fair with their pricing
Awesome people and great prices!
Capable. Competent. Affordable. Honest.
Jasons Automotive will do everything they can to fix your vehicle without charging you an arm and a leg. I went to one mechanic in town and he told me that it would cost $2300 to fix my broken head gasket. I took my vehicle to Jasons to get a second opinion. Jason checked my coolant level, it was low so he refilled it. It cost me more at the first place to get it diagnosed (or misdiagnosed) than it took Jasons to actually fix it. I wont go anywhere else.
Awesome guys, I have had them take care my car for 3 years, thats my secret of keeping my car in good shape
I am incredibly happy with my experience. I brought my car in today with issues of it not starting and running properly (misfiring) I got it back in the same day. I brought it to another auto shop in town, and they said they fixed the problem when they did not, and it came back. The only issue I had was when I called about three times, my call never went through (probably a connection issue) but I brought it in and talked to them in person instead.
Jason is honest, reliable, and fair. When you take your vehicle to him, he tells you up front what the problem is and what the expected cost will be. No surprises!
Great, honest mechanic. Nice and pleasant to work with.
