This is by far the best place I have taken my car. It was inexpensive and they did a great job. The guy running it was also super nice. He explained things well and even asked me if I needed a ride somewhere because it was cold when I dropped my car off. Everyone should bring their car here.

Rexburg Auto Repair was a lifesaver for me. I have a 92 GMC Sierra that my grandkids adore. Last winter it started having problems with starting and keeping running. I did everything I knew how to do from fuel pumps, filters, and relays to a complete TBI make over. Nothing seem to keep the old bird running so I bit the bullet and took it to Ray. He was a little backed up but he let me park it at shop untill he could get to it. And get to it he did. For just over $200 he was able to git-r-dun. That was the best $200 I have ever spent.

Was very skeptical about taking my wife’s Subaru to the dealership in Idaho falls, so I looked for some local shops and I came across Rexburg auto repair. The experience to say the least was amazing, Ray had us in as soon as possible and had my wife’s car ready to go in less then 2 days of work, we didn’t know what was wrong but Ray figured it out and charged us a very reasonable price for work done on a Subaru. 10/10 best place to bring your car, especially if your on a budget.

Brought the car in to fix the back driver side breaks and have all the breaks done. I was told i needed a new drum, wheel cylinder and pads on the driver side. When i went to get the car had a surprise bill. Almost double what inexpected. The bill said they did a total rebuild on both sides in the back. And wouldnt change the front unless i bought new rotors. 2 days before another shop said my rotors were fine. Im not sure if I was taken advantage of. But i definitely feel that way

Wonderful couple that runs the place. I had my starter fixed but the part they replaced it with ended up being bad. Not only did they replace it for free but they towed it back all the way from IF at their own expense.Sometimes mechanics can be kind of skeevy and will try to screw you over for some extra profit but not these guys. You can have them work on your car with the peace of mind that youve got perfectly honest people doing your repair. I highly recommend.(P.s the store cat is really cute)

Went in without an appointment for a taillight change and air put into my tires, and they were so quick about it! Charged just $15 (it was a quick and easy job). I would definitely recommend them.

Had a hub bearing go out on the way to college at byui and had to drive 300 miles on it. When I got here, they took my truck, fixed it and got it back to me same day and the repair was thorough and was super well priced. Went to them when the other one went out and they finished same day and again for a fair price. Since the second one was less labor intensive, and it didn’t require as many parts, it was cheaper. They didn’t jack up the prices with unclear reasons. Honest, quick, and effective service is offered here. Highly recommended.

I had some transmission issues. I went to Ray after finding him online. He was very nice and easy to deal with. He gave me a quote and called me when he found somethings that needed to be brought to my attention. The entire service was near the quote he had estimated for me and it was done very quickly. I will go to him again without thinking about it twice.

I am a brand-new customer and he worked hard to accommodate my urgent repair, despite his hectic week while moving shops!He was honest and forthright. He discovered that half the repair wasnt needed (the timing belt looked new) and called me to ask what I wanted to do. He talked me through some pros and cons and suggested that I cut short the repair and save several hundred dollars. I have VERY limited knowledge about cars and am always a bit skeptical about bringing it in to a shop because I wouldnt know if they are trying to rip me off. Ray is a good guy and does good work. Very reasonable labor costs. He wont fix something without first telling you what it is and what its going to cost. I have gone there a few times now and he has always charged me what he quoted originally, or even less sometimes...no surprise extra costs. If youre looking for a good mechanic that is honest and not looking to rip you off...Ray is your guy!

I know there is a reputation for sleazy mechanics and everyone distrusts them, but RAR is the real deal. I have taken 2-3 of my vehicles there and Ray always takes care of it, and never charges me for things that I dont need. He personally tells me what is going on, calls me with estimates and what the cost of parts are and is upfront about turn around time. There is no one else I would ever take a vehicle to.

Horrible experience. I took it in to do a overall lookup at my car and he came back with several things I need fixed. First he said I need to replace my brake pads on my tires quoted me at $100 for the fronts. And also he said that I need to replace my timing belt which is a big job. I was skeptical so I took it to tires Les Schwab, got a free checkup.They came back and told me the exact opposite. They gave me the measurements for the brake pads and said he was trying to rip me off. They also gave me a quote of $200. This guys is shady hes a liar and he most likely would have ripped me off for a $100 because that doesnt even cover the cost of replacement parts for brakes. Total sham.

I am giving more than one star because the mechanic seemed very knowledgeable and provided a quick service. I am giving only 2 stars due to his unprofessionalism.I am currently in the process of selling my Ford Focus. The lady who was interested in buying decided to take it in to this mechanic to get it checked out, which is totally understandable.After looking over the vehicle for 10 minutes he informed us the the vehicle was in good condition with some minor wear and tear. He then went on to give the customer a long rant on how much he hates Fords and how he would not recomend this vehicle because it will break down on her and give her lots of problems, with no proof to back it up. He gave her an extremely bias opinion, which in that particular sales setting was extremely unprofessional.I personally have owned two of this same vehicle and have never had problems. I am very maticulous on my vehicle maintainance. I treat my vehicles very well and was insulted by his ignorant accusations.

Our daughter attending BYU-I had some air conditioning problems with her Xterra the last week of classes - Ray got her in quickly and replaced the compressor in two days!! She then had some problems with it on her drive home to Washington. I let Ray know and he paid for the second repairs - What a GREAT place!! I would not hesitate to recommend them. Great service and great people!!

I went here to get my bearings replaced. I think hs name is Ray. He gave me a quote to begin with but it ended up costing more than what he had quoted. BUT he offered to split the difference with me instead of me having to pay the full price. A few months later I thought the bearings on my other wheel were going out so I took it back to Ray. It turned out the ones that were fixed had gone out again. He fixed them and wouldnt let me even pay labor costs. These guys are honest, and they look out for their customers. They will give you a sound deal and do good work. I highly recommend them.
