The people here are great! Theyre honest about the work that needs to be done; theyve even sent me pictures of what theyre working on. They also give you an option to reject any maintenance, instead of doing whatever so they can charge extra (Ive been to places that do this)

Came in yesterday to get my car diagnosed with an issue I was having. Although it wasnt able to be spotted (I figured it would be the case), I got a very handy car report full of essentially every part in my car and whether or not it needed attention. I also wasnt pushed to buy anything or get any services done that I didnt want, which isnt something that a lot of car shops can hold with that title. Overall, best car repair shop in town! The guys are extremely nice, especially Maverick the receptionist and Dru the head mechanic. They even have me a ride home so I would have to walk home while my car was being worked on!!!

The car shop got me in the next day that I called, assessed my car with photos so I could see what they saw, suggested repairs based on top priority. Initially upon inspection they figured my front brakes needed to be replaced but when they took the wheel off they saw that the brake pads were in better shape than expected and gave me the update! Honest, cheerful and skilled! What more could a client want?

I have come to the Car shop many times for many different services and they have always been very professional and helpful. They have helped me out on short notice and always accommodated my schedule. My exhaust was falling apart. The guys at car shop were immediate to help and extremely professional. They were able to completely patch the exhaust back together and eliminate all the problems I was having. I highly recommend them for their great quality and wonderful customer service. Our car just wouldnt start and the tow truck brought us to the Car Shop. Although we were nervous and they didnt say much up front, the way they serviced our car and treated us spoke much louder than words ever could!After they got to work on a diagnostic and provided a quote, my wife and I were impressed that they were able to get our car back to us before they predicted and, even though they needed to perform additional repairs, they stuck to their estimate and discounted the unanticipated charge (~$350). Not only that, but they said they do their best to stay within their estimate all the time. Thats the most honest thing Ive ever seen from a car shop! Im typically frustrated when Im given a quote and dont know whether to add $100 or $500 to predict what Ill actually have to pay, but here they stayed within their estimate, even when things were out of their control. As a working collage student trying to make ends meet, thats a HUGE reason why Ive decided to have my car maintenance done here. That kind of service just cant be found anywhere, especially when I consider all the car shops Ive visited just trying to find one that I feel I can trust.To the people Ive seen who complain about costs, Id say you get what you pay for and Id rather know how much it will be up-front so I can plan on it and get good quality than go and find something cheap and have to pay on unanticipated and unnecessary expenses and repairs.These guys provided us with the best Ive yet to find. They are professional, honest, and are also invested in helping you understand & maintain your vehicle so it works its best for you - some shops will share, but these guys invest! They explained some things that I was very grateful to learn and they even provide an intuitive online guide with their 48 point inspection that indicates your car health and what repairs or check-ups to plan on.All in all, Id say this is the place for anyone who s tired of hunting for shops they feel they can trust, who likes to understand their vehicle and receive quality service, and for whoever enjoys being able to plan ahead! My only regret is that I didnt start going to these guys 2 years ago.

I was super impressed with this auto shop. I am from out of state and my car was having issues. I was desperate, it was the weekend and I had a family emergency. They graciously and compassionately looked at my car and made the repair even though they were very busy. I appreciate their honesty. What really was surprising is that on Monday I received a text from them asking about the repair on my car and if all is well. Super professional! Can’t recommend highly enough. :)

This is probably one of the best auto shops I have ever worked with. Drew is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the mechanics are very competent and they get the jobs done fast, and they do an excellent job communicating with the customer about what does and does not need to be repaired. Repair costs are more than fair.I once overheard them telling a kid that came in for a brake job that his brakes had plenty of life left, and that he did not need them done yet, saving this kid several hundred dollars. Any other shop that I am aware of would have just done the job and not said anything.After some extremely off-color experiences with local Point S around the corner from these guys (Which still have yet to be resolved), Its a very good feeling when you can drop you car off for some repairs and you can rest assured and have full confidence that they are honest and fair, and that you will get treated right.

First time I went on for an oil change and the service was amazing. This last time we prepared for a long road trip and Maverick was very friendly and helpful. Pretty great shop if you ask me. I’ve been looking for a good mechanic in Rexburg and I decided to try this place. My first service was a standard oil change and they were quick and effective. They have great technology that updates you on your car and helps you stay on top of important things when it comes to car maintenance. Dru was very personable and he really just wants to give you honest and open information and let’s you make the decision. I’m definitely going to be back. I highly recommend the Car Shop if you’re looking for an honest crew who will take car of you AND your car!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. They didnt try to charge me for things I didnt need, and they kept me posted as they worked to figure things out (I had a really weird issue that was hard to diagnose). But overall I felt like they were down to earth and they actually treated me like a competent human being, which isnt the case with most car shops if youre female.

The team at Car Shop is awesome!! They were able to really help me out in a pinch, including fitting me into an already busy schedule. They went through exactly what was wrong with my car and what my options were. They are friendly and informative. They even offered additional service by offering to refer me to others who could help me. I will absolutely come to them again.

They made the absolute BEST first impression! I have to leave for a road trip and of course, the day before I go, my brakes decided to give me trouble. I called the shop in the evening and asked if there was anyway they could have my car fixed the same day. A mechanic stayed an hour after the shop closed to fix my car for me, I will definitely go to them again to have my car serviced! They definitely seem like a trustworthy business.

I went in with a bad transmission. After they replaced it, it stopped working a few days later by no fault of car shop, it was just a faulty part. I took it back expecting them to try and charge me again for it or to find any other reason to pay more, just because that’s what I’m kind of used to with mechanics, but they didn’t do any of that. They apologized for the inconvenience, fixed it, didn’t try to charge anything, and the car has worked great ever since.

I went in to have the timing cover gasket replaced. The service was great. I was greeted by Dru, who was very helpful and truthful unlike many other car shops. The price was great, and turned out to be way less than what other mechanics were offering. The mechanics worked hard and got the job done by the next day. Since then, I have had no problems with the car.

Best shop in town by far, I tried another shop before here and the guy was trying to tell me I needed to replace my engine. Luckily I knew enough to take it somewhere else. Drew took amazing care of the car and the repair was done really quickly and at an amazing price. These guys are honest, I would highly recommend taking your car here.

These guys are great. They have done my vehicle maintenance for a couple of years now. I recently had an issue with my truck and they got me right in and taken care of. I never leave there worrying if they did a good job or not.

Fantastic work, and at a fair price! I usually do all my own vehicle work, but was needing an alignment, and I couldnt diagnose a squeaking noise in the rear end. They were able to figure out what exactly was causing the noise, and got the alignment done no problem! Two days later, I went to check my oil, and the plastic dipstick broke! I went over there, and they squeezed me in no problem to remove the broken dipstick and get a new one in. Great work, great service, great people!

Traveling through Rexburg, and I needed some quick help before I left the next day. They worked me in, solved my problem, and found something else wrong with my car — rather than insisting on fixing it themselves and messing up my road trip, they told me how to manage the problem until I got home and could fix it then. I have a hard time choosing mechanics, usually I stick with one for many many years. I used Car Shop this go around because I did not believe that my car would make the journey to my normal mechanic in Idaho Falls, so I figured id give it a shot. I sent my wife with the car to see what could be done. Check in was easy enough. There was a little bit of confusion from my phone call the day before into the new day but that was quickly resolved. We were told that it would be a about a day before they could get the car in to be looked at and fixed (which their estimate was spot on). While my wife was explaining what the car was doing, a passing technician made a remark that my wife felt was rather demeaning. She doesnt understand cars so she tries her best to explain what shes experiencing. The front desk worker quickly apologized for the technicians behavior which was appreciated.When going outside with this same technician though to discuss the vehicle, my wife felt once again belittled and was frustrated with how she was talked to.At the end of the inspection and work I was contacted by their office and was given a thorough run down of what they found and was even given an online report which was very well done and helpful. Their communication throughout the process was very much appreciated and welcomed. They also recommended, not pushed, other services and had Good, Better, and Best quality choices which is helpful when on a budget.All in all I dont believe in harsh reviews based on employees actions or behaviors, but with that being said I dont appreciate how my wife felt when leaving the shop. Maybe the technician was having a bad day or whatever but that left a lasting impressionPROS:Great service, great communication, getting the car in was pretty easy, great report of what was done. I took my car in for the timing belt and water pump on a Friday morning. Something came up with one of their techs and they weren’t able to work on it on Friday. They let me know right away. I was able to drive my car home and still have it for the weekend, rather than let it sit in the shop all weekend which I appreciated.Brought it back in Monday morning and they got the belt and water pump changed the same day. Very professional and I felt like they charged a fair price. They kept the cost right at what they estimated for me.A few days after the timing belt service, Dru texted me to verify that everything was okay with my car. It still is and it shows how they want to take care of their customers.

The work was performed efficiently and gave me the information I needed to make an informed choice about next steps. Been going here for years now. Never had to go back to get the same repair done twice. They call you with updates and price before work is done. They have always finished early. I do most of the work on my truck myself. I dont like other people messing around with my setup. But, this is the only shop I will take my truck for repairs needing a professional. They treat my truck like its their own. Great price, on time, and honest.

The Car Shop was very flexible to meet my tight schedule. I went to them on several occasions to get a few different cars diagnosed. Each time they were very professional and clear on any issues. I would recommend the Car Shop.

They seem honest, had a previous job they wanted to put a radiator kit in for around 1.2k with labor when I had a hole in the radiator and the fans were busted. I understand they need to make a profit but I did it in an afternoon and bought the kit for around $650. Then I needed the thermostat replaced in my car, asked for an estimate, they told me something around the tune of $190. Wanted to charge me $50 for the part, and the rest was labor. Looked it up online and did the work myself. Took me 35 minutes and the part cost me $20.I think the idea is that this is a college town so they just assume if a young guy has problems mom and dad will cover it. They were honest about the car, cant be too sure about the prices though...

This is one of those small shops that you can trust to do the job right. The owner cares about you and it shows. It has been around a long time and has lots of loyal customers and after me going there recently, I can now say Im one of them!

I took my Suburban in to have a window repaired as it wouldn’t roll back up. I mainly worked with Dru who delivered awesome customer service by underpromising and overdelivering on our time line and through the detailed report sent to my wife and I once the job was finished. The report even detailed other repairs needed along with an urgency rating. When I came in to pick the car up. Dru even followed up on something that they had noticed during a previous inspection to make sure everything was alright. Exceptional experience!

Easily the best Mechanics in town. Ive been a recurring customer for up to 4 years now and I have no complaints whatsoever.Here is a list of experiences I had with them:1. I had thought that there was an issue with my brakes, and they happily checked my car for issues. When it was discovered that there was no issue apparent they made sure to not charge me anything, not even for labor.2. They have an inspection service that gives you a detailed outlook on your cars health, and offers recommendations for services your car may need, complete with pictures if something needs to be fixed/replaced3. When something does need to be replaced you can tell that they care more about your well being than your money. When a belt in my car needed replaced, I wasnt pressured into getting it replaced but was let known of the dangers of it failing and the likely hood of when it will break.4. They recently just texted me asking how my car was doing, which prompted this review. Its such a great feeling that they treat their work like a doctor rather than a generic mechanic shopAll in all, Car Shop has staff that actually car about you, and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend it to anyone in the Rexburg area

I had an issue with some vibration and noise coming from what seemed like the back of the car during a long trip I was taking. They looked at the car on very short notice and were able to quickly diagnose the issue and offer advice on what repairs were needed. I would highly recommend them for my auto repairs.

Was extremely upfront about the cost of their services.They didnt under quote and hope it stayed there – Drew, and one of the technicians, Kim, gave me a rundown of what they thought was wrong and what it would take to fix it. They didnt pressure me into starting the project either; they mentioned several times that I could come back later after thinking and talking it over with family.2.) Communicated with me every step of the way.In typical Volkswagen fashion, the problem was more complicated than it seemed at first, yet at no point did they start additional work until they talked with me about what was going on, and I told them to continue. Near the end of the project, Drew would call me every day to give me an update on my car, which was extremely welcome and kept me in the loop.3.) Did a phenomenal job.Once the full picture of the issue was clear, Cody took over and completed the repairs for a section of my electrical harness. Everything was clean, beautifully wrapped, and put back together better than it was before.4.) Isnt joking or exaggerating about their warranty.After I was able to take my car home, I saw something that I thought was related to the initial problem. After calling Drew, he had me bring in the car. They did a full diagnostic and found the issue in one day, all without charging me. It was extremely professional of them, especially since what I noticed ended up having nothing to do with the work that they performed.After everything was said and done, Car Shop fixed my issue where no one else in Rexburg would even consider looking at it.

Over the years Ive been to a couple of mechanics for car repairs. Especially with my first car. The Car Shop has been the best place Ive been to. The people are professional and have been great at explaining what is going on with the vehicle; will do only what youve given them approval to do. Their recent diagnosis text web page is an awesome addition. Good people willing to do good work. If there is a concern, or questions, theyre willing to address them. If they make a mistake, or hold on to a car longer than they said theyre willing to compensate for what happened. Theyve given me no reason so far to not return to them.

Grew up here but have been away for a decade. My alternator decided to catch its own virus and I had no reliable mechanic yet. Drew was only too accommodating for my vehicle and even when I asked if he would help me drive it to St Anthony, he still happily obliged. I was able to get another driver but the fact that he would still consider helping out his customers above and beyond is more than I could expect from any of my mechanics in GA or NY. My car was fixed timely AND I even got a link to a detailed description of what my car needed down the road. Even though my belt was cracked, I never felt pressured to get it fixed. I agreed to it just because of that reason. The prices were stated clearly and as someone who knows how much an alternator costs all too well, the price was very agreeable. My parts are also under guarantee nationwide. They are officially my Go-To for any and all issues.

I went to Les Shwab to get my tires rotated and they told me I needed to get my breaks replaced. I came into car shop because they were able to replace them on the same day, and they told me that the breaks were in really good shape and didnt end up charging me at all. Les Shwab tried to swindle me 400 dollars and these guys didnt charge me anything when they couldve easily just replaced the brakes and charge me.

This place is so great! The staff there are so nice and honest. I was trying to get my car fixed so that I could go out of town the next day and they fixed it and let me pick it up quickly. Thank you Car Shop!!

Amazing service from great local folks! Dru talked everything through with me and gave me a screaming deal as well as working out the most cost effective way to replace my catalytic converter and muffler. He also took a look at the rest of my car and gave me a rundown with an online checklist of everything he found as well as the urgency rating of each thing. Upon reviewing the rundown, he wasn’t pushy about getting more things done, which is hard to come by these days. I’ll definitely be back for future car repairs!

Really impressive auto shop. Dru manages a great crew and knows how to take care of his customers. They use xoxocar which is an online service where the mechanic puts all the information (including photos and videos) of everything they inspected. Great tool for future reference. They also have temporary road side assistance and 2-year nationwide coverage on anything they worked on. One of the few places Ive taken my car to and left without any worries.

Fantastic service. Just went in for routine maintenance. They sent me a list of everything they checked, which things were good, which were recommended to fix, and which were more urgent. They sat down with me to answer any questions and give me their recommendations. Everything that I wanted fixed was done the same day. Very friendly. I highly recommend them.

I life in Idaho Falls. During a time that all local brake shops couldnt see me until next week, I was able to get seen the next day at The Car Shop in Rexburg. They changed my brakes and rotors in a timely manner and I got it back at the end of the day. Drew and his staff were very friendly and at closing time Drew took the time to explain things to me. They also sent me an inspection report for my car to my phone and they have a 2 year warranty on their work. I would not hesitate to go back.

I had them take a look at my brakes and my transfer case oil levels. They got back to me a few hours later saying that everything looked good, and they didnt charge me for it. Awesome.

By far one of the best car shops here in Rexburg. I wouldnt believe any of the reviews that are under five star, because they dont describe the shop I know. They are incredibly efficient, not to mention friendly and honest. They have a perfect system that will help anybody understand their cars diagnostics. Very honest and NOT PUSHY AT ALL. He told me what was wrong and what needed fixed and left it to me to decide whether I wanted to move forward or not. Great business to work with and I will continue to give them my business.

I was charged $1,000 to get my fuel pumped replaced. I didnt know I was being overcharged until I called someone who knew about cars.

I took two cars in today, one for a heater issue and the other for a check engine light. Both cars were taken care of professionally and carefully. They not only found solutions for my vehicles, but broke the issues down in what needed to be done now, and what I could hold off on, which is helpful on a budget. When the cars were finished, they took the time to explain what was wrong, what was fixed, and what todo to care for my cars down the road. Highly recommend!

I had a very positive experience with Rexburg Car shop. The staff is very kind and professional! They talked me through the process of drop off and pick-up, notified me when my vehicle was ready for pick-up and sent me an inspection list of my car! This list showed me what condition my car is in, what things are urgent or non-urgent.The company does not pressure you to complete any repairs that are listed as non-urgent. If the problem is urgent, they advise with good intentions. In addition, their pricing for an oil change is very reasonable! Thank you Rexburg Car Shop!
