3rd worst haircut Ive ever had. My beard trim looks great. When she was done cutting my hair she did not give me a mirror to check myself out. I should have questioned that sooner. After I got home and styled my hair I saw that my curls had hidden the fact that she had shaved an inch higher on my right side. I wont be going back.

Rachel S is the best! Called at 2:45 asking for a 3pm cut which she took, no problem. She was cool as can be during the cut and is hella talented. The whole place has huge skate/tattoo shop vibes and the employees are all really chill. If you’re looking for a great haircut and an awesome atmosphere Rachel @ Gearhead is your gal. Plus, how can you beat a $18 haircut! Definitely coming back, f*ck sports clips 😂

STAY AWAY FROM RACHAEL! She is not PROFESSIONAL and will NOT KEEP HER APPOINTMENTS!! I made an appointment through the app the Cut. I left my house very early as to not arrive late. I showed up on time but was not told that her schedule had been pushed and hour and a half! Ironically, when you book an appointment with Rachael she will ask that you get a hold of her when you’re running late. Lmao! All I’m b’tching about is that you give your appointments the same courtesy and respect as you ask for!! It’s not that hard to do. Unfortunately, her lack of communication about being more than an hour and a half late makes all the other hair stylist in Gearhead look unprofessional too. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s hit and miss here!

I was able to set up a quick appointment early In the morning. Reno has a lot of barber shops concentrated in midtown but none of them had any open appointments. Luckily, gearhead was open and provided a quality cut.

I found Cody from Great Clips! Hes always done a great job since I met him a couple of years ago. Today was no different, both my daughters & I were very happy with our haircuts. The atmosphere is even better than Great Clips, totally worth the drive from Spanish Springs. They offer free soda or beer & play some nice music.#CodyfromGreatClips

Today was my first time going here. I liked how the person cutting my hair really took their time and I though it was going to come out great. The thing is that It was honestly one of the worst haircuts Ive ever had. As soon as the person finished cutting my hair I immediately put my hat on to hide it because I felt embarrassed. I still tipped the person because we all have bills to pay and Im just a kind person. The establishment was very fun and welcoming. I think we all deserve a second chance and Ill come back to this place for another chance. I have to wait months so my hair can grow back to how I want it. Ill wear hats for now😞

I made an appointment with Rachel, but the day of, I got an email saying that it had been cancelled with no reason given. So I tried to make an appointment with someone else for the same time. The website said they were available but when I tried to schedule, it said I cant book an appointment online within 3 hrs. So I picked a time that the website said would work, not one that was convenient for me. I scheduled a haircut and a wash, but all I got was a haircut but still charged like I got both.

Was in Reno for a few days visiting a relative. Wanted to get a haircut since I live in California and the barbershops are closed there due to COVID. I was extremely happy with my experience at Gearhead. Got a great cut from Jason, who was super cool and the vibe there is friendly and non-pretentious. I will definitely go back to Gearhead if I need a cut the next time I’m in Reno.

Now I know why!I was next to get my haircut . The worst ever haircut I have ever gotten!! was looking for a high & tight haircut. I told the young gentleman to cut the top shorter 3 times and he still couldnt get it right . I guess Ill be going back to Paradise park barber shop!!

Let the stylist choose a haircut for me and it turned out quite well. Nice levels, and a decent fade, which is very difficult on curly hair. Plus they were debuting a pizza and beer with the DJs on the weekends. Great atmosphere and great barbers.

Comically confusing experience. The last few haircuts Ive had at chain locations werent great so I thought Id try a nice barbershop or fancy salon. I called several places and they all said they were booked for 3 days - 2 weeks. Gearhead offered walk-ins so I stopped by. There was 4 female employees on their phones and the shop was completely empty; should have taken that as a sign. No one seemed to want to cut my hair as they debated about who should have to do it. Weird. They offered a free beer so I said what the hell.The vibe was dilapidated antique store, the smell was more pawn shop than barber shop, and the music was comical and absolutely blaring. When I asked for a razor fade they said they couldnt do that because ... no barbers worked there? Confusing.Advertised a $15 dollar cut but apparently mine cost $18 cause its harder. The haircut was not great. 2 of the staff members spent their time discussing their various personal issues right next to me.All in all it was a supercuts that hadnt been cleaned in what Im assuming was several years. Weirdest business Ive walked into in a long time.

Messed up my little buddies hair and had the nerve to charge for the disaster of a fresh prince hair cut. Honestly ethnic hair is not your forte and you need more practice in that department... needs a lot of work like a lot... felt super pressured as well to pay and it was quite an uncomfortable atmosphere! never again!
