If tesla relocates you here you can block access to the parking lot with a container indefinitely but if you run a family business you can’t store a pallet under your car
In my transition from California to Reno, it was tough finding an apartment, however Samantha at Edgewater at Virginia Lake was such a professional when I reached out to her, she made it such a great experience. She was very responsive and professional, knew her product well, and most of all, she was very easy to work with. If you need an apartment, give Samantha a call, I highly recommend her!
Edgewater was a great complex to work with. Our company decided to do some shorter term corporate leases for seasonal summer jobs and Sasha was our point of contact. She was an amazing individual and we really enjoyed our experience with them. I would recommend.
The view is gorgeous the only downside is for elders quite a few stairs. Place itself is beautifully fixed gardens and colorful
I have lived here for several years, previous management was a disaster but the original management company is back as of late August and they are awesome! The girls in the office really know what is going on and are trying their best to make this place a prime living area. I am so excited to continue living here as the area is just beautiful and so convenient to live in.
I seriously love living here. There was a lot of issues with previous management but current management is amazing always quick to work with you and they handle any and all maintenance issues quickly. Our rent will include Cable and Internet in November for an extra $50 ill be saving $70 a month because of this.
Man made lake. It has a walking path (1 mile). In the summer you see a lot of baby ducks, in the winter the lake gets frozen.
Beautiful Sunrise and Sunset walks around Virginia Lake. Great management team. Nice exercise facility and recreational club house with large swimming pool. Just outside the east gate and across the parking lot are 15 of the best restaurants, bars and nightclubs in all of Reno. Every major sporting event is celebrated in a stadium like atmosphere. Edgewater at Virginia Lake is The Place to Live and Enjoy Life.
I just rented at Edgewater and move in at the end of the month. They were so helpful and walked all over the complex with me to find the perfect apartment. Sarah offered me $1,800 off if I signed a 13 month lease. So now I have a beautiful apartment with a great view and I only paid $100 to move in.
I thought the place was beautiful the apartment was a little small but very nice and new all the staff was wonderful and treated my fiance beautiful the outside was beautifully kept she just loved it I recommend this place to everyone the office staff really bent over backwards for herGod Bless guys shes looking forward to living here take advantage of there specials they really roll out the red carpet for you thank you
This place is amazing! It’s under new management who are all always so nice and professional! I love living here!
Great little lake to take walks around.
My experience with Edge Water has been wonderful. I moved in Nov 2nd and the staff couldnt have been more helpful. Especially Sarah who did everything possible to help me move in. Hannah was also very helpful with solving a pigeon problem on my balcony!
This place is terribly run. Dont move here. They will get you in with specials and when it comes time to renew your lease, they will raise rent above market pricing. Also, nobody in the office has any clue what is going on and they are extremely disorganized. Your paperwork will get mixed in with others.
It was nice but not very many people
Got my lease renewal slipped into my door and it had been backdated two days. It stated wed be renewed at a higher rate automatically and if we wanted to terminate our lease we need to give 30 days notice...meanwhile they did not give 30 days notice about renewal even though we went into the office to inquire over a month ago and mgmt assured us wed get out paperwork. Furthermore, today I was kicked out of the pool area listed as an amenity. There are chairs and a fire place and grill we pay for and I was forced to leave. Idk why anyone would pay so much to get treated so poorly. Do not recommend.
Worst experience I have ever had applying to a property. We were told the application process would take no longer than 5 days. After the first 5 days, the application process was still not complete. We were told that we were not immediately denied so that meant we were, most likely either approved or conditionally approved. Great, we thought we can stop looking. Another week went by and and still no news. At this point we were getting worried. We needed to start vacating our current home. We started calling daily for details and all we ever received was that my background check was still pending. Another few days went by and we were out of luck. We had to pack up our things and move our life into storage with no where else to put our belongings. We finally gave up and contacted another apartment. We were approved the very next day. We notified Edgewater and asked for a refund for our deposit, but it was denied because we cancelled after 72 hours had passed. 3 weeks without them being able to approve or deny us and us basically out on the streets and they have the audacity to tell us that. Unbelievable. I hope if you are reading this you seriously consider not choosing this God awful property.
Beautiful facade over cheap work inside. NO PARKING and some of the WORST management I have ever dealt with. It took almost 2 years to get my deposit back. Save yourself the trouble, live somewhere else.
This place absolutely sucks. Not only with parking but with there staff. Don’t rent an apartment from here, they’re horrible.
If you dont mind wearing a bulletproof vest to bed, 40% rent increases in less than a year, sharing the property with every homeless person in Reno, and dealing with inept property managers with no thought in their mind except the next possible buck, this is the spot for you!It is very odd that theyve gotten four 5 star reviews on the same day recently. These must be either fake or solicited.
I can rock out at like 3am and no one seems to notice 🎸 Maybe my playing is just that soothing. Probably the most beautiful spot I’ve ever lived. Its a brand new complex, so of course the staff are constantly re-adjusting to meet the needs of all of us whiners. The place should be 5 stars in like a year.
The parking here is HORRIBLE and so is the management. I came home on a Sunday afternoon to a violation sticker on my car when I was parked in a GREY ZONE (meaning not a red zone) AND I had moved my car SEVERAL TIMES in just hours. There are MULTIPLE cars who park themselves for 5-7 DAYS in visitor parking without moving and NEVER get a sticker, yet I get a sticker IN A GREY ZONE WHEN IVE MOVED MY CAR. WTF?!!?? They are a HORRIBLE management group who target the wrong people!!! They want to sticker someone?!?? Sticker the jerk who never move their cars out of the Visitor spots rather than the tenants who PAY RENT and never have a parking spot but who OBEY THE RULES and park in the free-zoned places and MOVE THEIR CARS CONSTANTLY!!! Management ARE TYRANTS! I WILL NEVER EVER EVER recommend this place to ANYONE! You want to be able to park???- Choose SOMEWHERE ELSE! You want to have quiet during a reasonable time (i.e. after 10P and before 7A) Choose SOMEWHERE ELSE! For a complex that charges such a high rent, you would think they would have a competent management person/team who enforced the rules and to the right people. Whomever is managing this complex now needs not only a psych-eval but also a special ed teacher.
I absolutely love living here so far it has been great, The lake is right across the street which makes taking my fur baby out on walks that much easier.
Apartment by itself is okay. Nothing great about it. Not enough storage. But, most important, parking is a nightmare. If you have more than 1 car, good luck finding a place to park. Had I known the parking problem, would have never rented this place. Management permits only 1 covered parking spot per apartment. Uncovered parking spots are very few. All people with more than 1 car please stay away from this place. And small bathrooms is another big problem.
Be cautious about increases in the monthly payment after the first lease term is finished. The new management (which got control from mid-2017) increased our rent by 18%, more than $180.From my experience, it looks to me that the new management just looks for money and nothing else.
Amanda Bieske and the regional manager went above and beyond to make my husband comfortable. Thank you
Office staff was very friendly when I came to tour and helpful. The washer and dryer is excellent. I cant wait to move in! The feel of the place was very welcoming. Definitely worth checking it out.
I have lived here for a year, and let me say the apartments themselves are nice and matinence is very quick and great. The price is high, but that’s anywhere in Reno. What is awful about this complex is the parking. If you do not have a carport or your apartment has more than one car it most likely means you will be parking on lymberry street which is an awful street especially at night. Within the year I have lived here my car has been hit and run twice, and we have seen Reno PD gang unit arrest people just outside the complex on multiple occasions. If you are looking at this apartment complex and plan to have more than one car I would suggest you keep looking.
I love living here. I was a little worried when I first moved in about the proximity to the Peppermill (noise-wise) and with Virginia Lake across the street and the foot traffic going there. But I was glad to see how lit up the complex gets at night and I feel very safe taking my dog out to the bathroom at night. The parking could definitely be improved (and fortunately the tenants have the ability to call the towing company themselves). There are a couple of staff members that can be a little rude sometimes, but they are usually very friendly and helpful. The maintenance crew is the best! I live on the middle floor and I have never had a problem with noise from other apartments above or below, even when they were moving in. Overall I would stay here for a long time if I wasnt expanding my family and having to find more space.
Horrid management!!!they cant get it together.. they refused to give us a walk through when we left over a year ago. Then they gave us a headache on our way out. After 8 months they finally gave us back our deposit and waited another 4 months to call us on my vacation that they are charging us 100 and something odd dollars for unknown stuff they cannot verify. If you refuse to take your clients on a walk thru dont make stuff up over a year later. I will keep leaving reviews everyday until this issue is fixed and we are finnally over a year later left alone by this horrid company
In the beginning one of the best experiences when it came to viewing the apartments and looking for the grounds. We ended up putting in out App the same day as we saw the apartments and paid the app fees and deposit. After that things got EXTREMELY horrible, after putting up the funds we found that the communication with the office is terrible. The Manger is never there to take calls and after a month we are still waiting for an approval. This place in my mind was a total ripoff, just wanted us to give them $$$. Be very leery if you decide to go here.
Update: A property manager got in contact and sent pictures almost immediately after leaving this negative review, so not all bad, have updated to three stars.Ive been in contact with 3 different people in the past week, Sarah (?), Megan, and a guy yesterday who didnt give me his name. Ive left my phone number and email with all three, and all three have promised to send me pictures of their available units same day. I still have not received any pictures or a call back to explain why. Have tried calling five different times today, no answer on their line.Seems like this place is unorganized and makes promises they cant keep. Very disappointed.Owner, feel free to contact me, if made right Ill be happy to update this review.
Zero parking, heard gunshots on more than one occasion. Saw drug deals happen by the lake. Found hyperdermic needles in parking lot. Not worth the price no matter how much they say it’s “nicer”. My sisters truck was hit in the parking lot middle of the night. Not worth the price unless you have one car and are never home. Not good for families.
Meh..... Its new is what comes to mind when I think of edge water. I recently visited the place and determined it is not all it is cracked up to be. Why you may ask; there is no storage, the rooms are small, they slid on things that matter to most renters. They are working very hard to get people moved into the place. They can not at this time allow you in the building to see an apartment (you can peek through a window). The rent is pretty high and you can get higher quality for a few more bucks.Folks Ive seen this before; new construction cut corners get it ready so we can begin to recoup expended funds to continue our building efforts. You more than likely will not get your security deposit back at this spot no matter how hard you clean. Tread lightly getting into to bed with these jokers!
I moved in the apartment in December, and the first coupleof months were great, until all the neighbors moved in, the floors and walls are not insulated enough and the noise from above is so bad and Echoey that you can hear every move people make, from the moving of furniture and walking on the floors, its terrible. Think twice about moving into this complex, its expensive for what you have to put up with day I and day out, every night is the same bang bang bang, I have lived in a few apartment complexes In my time and gave to say this place is the worst ever, biggest mistake of my life, I cant wait for my contract to be over to get out of this place. If I could give Zero stars I would. Good luck to all who decide to move into this place.
1- This place is good for and is full of elderly people. Because of lots of seniors in you neighborhood you cannot expect a lively atmosphere there. My elderly neighbor in the downstairs used to knock on his ceiling, our floor, with something, every time we merely were walking in our home. I say this, because I have lived in apartments for 30 years and I know how to walk in my home to avoid bothering people in the below stories.2- Irresponsible increases in the rents. When you move in a place, you expect that the next years rents will be within a normal range of the current rates you are paying, say at most 5% or 10% increase. But, in this realm, they do not care how they are treating their current residents.3- Just one staff in the office of the complex for many residents. Many times you need to wait for more than half an hour in the office to have your work done.
Their water bill system is horrible if their is a mistake and you leave out a 10 dollar water bill they will charge you 75 late fee. Everybody is moving out due to management and lack of parking as well they have a total of 2 guest parking spaces haha this place is very poorly ran do not live here. Their are domestic disturbances out of your window on a regular as well. Management is the worst as well.
This is the worst property management people i have ever seen in my life. They should sit in the casino behind the apartment rather than sitting in the office. Horrible, disaster & pathetic!!!! Ideally 0 stars, but 1 star for the apartments!!
I thought edgewater to be pleasant and quiant.
Phony pieces if shut
To much sand
Great place!
