They have early appointments which was a huge plus for me because I needed my sons hair cut before his class. Was really easy steps on their online website. I really appreciate their business and hair cut for my son. Thank you for taking us so early and on time. It helped us make it to his class on time as well and with a nice haircut.

Clean little barber shop. I saw Carlos and he was right on time and did a great job cutting my hair for the first time. He was able to work with my cowlick that I always struggle to tame and offered advice on how to style it as well.

Marissa at August barbershop has been cutting my hair for about 3 years now and she always does a fantastic job.The shop is clean, has a really cool old school vibe, and all of the barbers are friendly and professional.They take Covid precautions seriously which I appreciated.It isnt the cheapest place to get a haircut, but you definitely get what you pay for: a high quality haircut by professionals who know what they are doing. Try them out once and youll never want to go anywhere else.

Great place to work or do homework before the haircut. Get your coffee while you wait for the haircut or have the coffee done by when you are finished getting your haircut. Shop is very welcoming with great music and space to start your day. I highly recommend it to anyone

The young lady that cut my hair last weekend, did an amazing job. I was making somewhat specific yet vague requests about how I wanted my hair to look and somehow she not only cut it exactly how I wanted it, but it looked better than I could have imagined. Honestly I think this was the best haircut Ive ever had. Shout out to that young lady, I wish I remembered her name, she has the second chair though on the left when you walk in. Looking around at the other barbers cutting while there, they all looked like they really knew what they were doing. Would highly recommend this place both for quality and price.

Ruby, the co-owner here, has been my barber for almost a decade. They give a great and thoughtful cut, will make sure its to your liking before you go, and have been very diligent about their Covid protocols. Friendly, professional, and a great cut. Not the cheapest cut in town but then again you dont want to look like Mom took a FloBee to your head, do you? Youre gonna look and feel great after. A+

I originally picked August because it was close to my work. Even though Im working from home now, I still take the 30 min drive to continue going. Love the vibe of the shop and Rubys skill with the clippers is phenomenal.

Just had my first cut here with Ruby, she did a great job and Ill definitely be returning.

After moving to the Bay Area, I struggled to find a reasonably priced, but knowledgable barbershop. Around the Stanford area, I found that many did not cut my hair right - blending was super choppy, hair was cut way shorter than I asked, style was completely off, or it took more than an hour to cut. To top it off, some places were charging 50$ for a mens hair cut, which coming from the midwest, seems like a crime.I recently got my haircut by Marissa. She was extremely kind, super detailed, and communicated with me to make sure I was getting the right cut. I am incredibly happy with the result and feel more confident now that I have my go-to place to get my hair cut. Plus, at $35 I thought the service was fantastic.Also, they have an adorable puppy named Moose. Make sure to give him chin scratches on your way out!

I have a long, coarse, and curly beard. Marissa did an excellent job cleaning it up after about 5 months of growth since my last beard trim. If you have a curly beard and are in the market for a new barbershop I highly recommend Marissa for a trim that will grow out well!

I love this place, a tad bit pricey but honestly worth it. They know how to handle my difficult hair and their service is excellent.

Came in with overgrown, unruly hair after not having had a haircut for over 4 months. I showed Marissa a picture of my last haircut and she took just one look and knew exactly what to do.The shop was kept very clean, and both of us had our masks on the whole time. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of a lockdown cut.

Ive been looking for a good barber for over a year since moving to the bay area. Ive gone to quite a few places and nothing really stuck out. But August Barbershop gave me a completely different vibe. I showed Marissa a photo of what I was looking for, and she knew what to do and got right to it. Finally found a place I feel good returning to.

I walk in every 6 months to 10 months with a vague description or complete indifference of what I want done with my shaggy hair and out of control beard. Marissa cuts and buzzes away for 20 minutes and I walk out looking like I belong in a fashion catalog out of Portland instead of looking like a homeless person.Marissa is also very friendly, but like being in an Uber, Im not one for small talk and she seems happy to quietly make me look good.Cash only.
