My boyfriend and I has a unit here. Maribeth helped us and is extremely knowledgeable on the units and offered us products that we needed to keep our unit smelling fresh. The unit is super clean the vicinity are clean as well. The process was ultra quick and efficient. The whole entire experience is great and I will definitely recommend this place! :)

Customer service was really good. They also the cheapest in the area. They were very accommodating when It was time for me to checked out. Cameras seem to be located at the right location to have a view at all angles. They allow access at 6AM.

There are thieves around the area that break into the unit easily and fast.They stole all my clothes, TV and all the important stuff from my unit that cost a lot.Although the district manager (Farshid) of public storage gave me good advice on what to do next. He helped with a $25 discount on the rent. He was kind and knowledgeable.Also, the manager of the local public storage(Mary) helped me during the process as well.

Maribeth is a great rep of Public Storage and most helpful when I needed fast an efficient service in trying to meet my deadline. I deeply appreciated her kindness in my time of urgent need. I recommend this storage location to all.

I have had 3 storage units here for at least 5 years now.Maribeth has been there for longer than I have been a unit holder. She has helped me on several occasions and has always been very accommodating.The Units are spacious clean and fair priced. Though I will say one of our corner uits could use a little more light.

We are a commercial user and have 2 lockers at this site. I find the community to be clean and visually appealing. Maribeth is easy to work with and always has a smile and a wave when I visit our lockers. The rental process is painless and swift and Maribeth walks you to your locker for an inspection before signing all the paperwork. We are on the ground floor and havent had any issues with dampness or critters. A wonderful place to do business and store our things.

We were sold an undersized room, and up-sold many additions. (Including insurance which was described as mandatory)There was miscommunication on how the alleged mandatory insurance worked, and they only mentioned a convenient auto-pay feature after we refused to pay an additional months rent on day 1.The unit measured to precisely 48 x 75. (see attached photos)We paid for 5 x 8. If youre careful, you may note the approximately decorator in the attached screenshot of our contract.Unit size:- We instantly suspected the room was smaller than 5 x 8. When we asked the on-premise manager if he could measure it, he said that he did not have measuring tape. (doubtful)- The manager mentioned that there were other units listed as 5 x 7 6, and told us that the unit we were renting was specifically 5 x 8. Therefore, this unit is much closer to (but still smaller than) the already noted 5 x 76 units.- The contract has an as-is clause that says the renter is accepting the unit as-is, regardless of the actual size of the room. How convenient.- Upon returning to the property to measure the unit, I asked the (different) manager what the policy was for having rented units advertised under an incorrect size. She said that all measurements are approximations.Insurance:- We were informed that insurance is required- The agent said that they provide insurance through another company (reading between the lines, you can probably take care of insurance yourself, but at this price why bother?) so we paid for that- The manager incorrectly asserted that there is 0 deductible, but a flier in the office mentioned a $100 deductible

Found a decent size storage unit at this location and also received some great customer service from Maribeth. She took a last minute reservation during a pretty hectic time and was very accommodating. Once I looked over the unit - the process to get everything finished was pretty easy and took about fifteen minutes. $1 for the first month as always promoted, $24 admin fee? And make sure you bring a reliable lock to secure your unit - I completely forgot that part but Maribeth took care of that as well for me.Security Camera system recently upgraded and the gate is new? From what I think I remember being told.Only thing is location - google maps takes you a weird way but this entrance is located in a Cul-de-sac off Hansen. Just FYI if you get lost or struggle to locate the front like I did.

My experience with Public Storage throughout the last couple of years been good. Then yesterday I went in to consolidate my things and move from a 10x10 unit to a smaller one. I was having trouble with figuring out which unit would fit me best for the stuff I had in my unit. So I went up to the front desk to ask Maribeth, who has helped me through the years. And she said lets walk down to your unit and let me see how much stuff you have. so we did, and right away she told me a 5x15 would be just enough. So I switched to a 5x15 and moved all my stuff over in a couple of hours and it fit perfectly. Maribeth not only just switched me over to a smaller unit but even walked down to see how much stuff a had an set me up with a perfect size unit. Now my things are perfectly stacked an fitted and even saving a little bit of money by switching. Thanks Maribeth! You have been so great and helpful.

Lets be honest. Finding storage in the Bay Area is increasingly becoming as challenging as finding actual space. If youre lucky enough to actually find a space and have the most helpful and friendliest team go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect, then you must be working with Public Storage in Redwood City. Theres really no other answer. Ive been to other storage facilities. These are the people that go above and beyond. Perfect customer service and follow up.

She’s been very professional and very helpful in every way we ask for, she’s always avail herself to us even if she’s busy and smile at us even if we know she has a lot to do. Used this storage place for one month when I was moving in between apartments, and absolutely would not recommend. I received a lot of conflicting information from different staff, and when I called them out on their discrepancies, I was told that people that work on the weekends arent local to that specific public storage and that they couldnt be trusted to give out correct information about that location. I thought it seemed odd that they would have this known problem and not fix it. Overall, highly dissatisfied and would not rent here again. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that the staff were all pleasant, just not accommodating or helpful.

Maribeth exemplifies customer service and really went out of her way to help me one evening when I was coming in late on a flight and wasnt sure I would be able to get in before the gate locks at night. She gave me the assurance that I could get access even if I was a bit late. And on top of that, shes very friendly and knowledgeable in her duties. Would recommend to others.

Ive never rented public storage before and Maribeth made the entire process incredibly easy! Upon arrival, Maribeth explained all the features of the facility thoroughly and showed me the exact space I would be renting. She went into detail every document I had to sign so I felt incredibly comfortable with the entire process.Thank you!

Good space, helpful staff and reasonable price but in my opinion really bad business practices. I have two major issues with my renting experience:#1. I was not informed beforehand that I would be required to buy or use my own lock. This is not unreasonable, but still it should have been mentioned when getting a quote. For most people that are renting storage space for the first time, this means an increase of $20+tax to the bill that represents a significant increase percent-wise to the overall cost.#2. During the rental agreement signing process the representative told me that: You are required to purchase insurance for your storage space. When I told her that I was not informed about this when I made the reservation, she told me It is in your rental agreement. Then I asked, where? And she loosely alluded/pointed to two articles of the rental agreement. However, after reading the articles, I realized that they only state that the company does not assume any liabality and nothing to the effect of requiring renters to have insurance.When I pressed her on the matter she told me that this is what they were told to say by the storage company. Obviously providing insurance along with the space increases the profitability of the operation, especially when (at least verbally) presenting insurance as a requirement rather than an option.In our short exchange, the representative attempted twice to purposefully mislead me regarding the issue of having to purchase insurance. I could understand if this was done using wording such as we strongly recommend purchasing insurance but in this case it was done using unambiguous wording we require you to purchase insurance. This is completely unacceptable as a business practice.Not sure if this is a practice of the specific company or of the industry at large but it is truly shameful.I must say that except for these two issues the representative was very helpful and accommodating.

I was right in the middle of a move when I realized I need to store some things. Found a Public Storage close to my location and reserved a unit online. When I arrived, Maribeth (the manager) was very welcoming and handled the finalizing of the unit rental quickly and efficiently. She even had moving materials on hand that I needed. The unit is the perfect size at a great price price and on a month-to-month lease which is what I needed. I highly recommend this spot!-Tim

To all,I ordinarily dont do reviews, but this place is horrible! I kept on being pestered to do a yelp review. Had it of been a one off thing, where they ask me politely, when I get the chance would you mind writing a review on yelp? I might of considered it. Each time I would go in to pay my bill, the first question I was asked is when are you going to write a good yelp review for us? Totally putting me on the spot. I recently paid my bill, which Ive always paid on time!! Now for the second time theyve raised my storage bill. Initially, when I was quoted my price, I was told its a flat fee for the duration of the time Im renting the storage unit. I called a customer service representative, who was rude, and was advised prices are subject to change at any time. To top things off one time when I went to pay my bill, in person, I was on crutches with an ankle broken in two places. The person on site said Oh sorry I meant to lock the door, youll have to come back in 30 minutes, Im on my lunch break. So I sat in my car, had to wait the 30 minutes, & paid my bill. Obviously yes Im looking for a new place to store my things. Im just trying to see when I can take the time off work & have free time around my other obligations.
