The views and serenity at Blu Harbor are a nice surprise! The water and the sounds of birds chirping bring a sense of stillness in this hectic world. The units are spacious and filled with modern appliances. The staff have been very accommodating and really care about their residents. It’s a nice to be close enough to work yet seem far away from the business of 101.
Blu Harbor is lovely. Its quiet, full of nice amenities, right on the water, and still only minutes from downtown Redwood City. We had a wonderful experience touring the facilities and the wonderful staff even accommodated us a second time we came back with additional questions. Beautiful place with excellent customer service!
Definitely rate 1 for the property management here. The leasing office’s altitudes really disappointed and offended me and the neighbors who got effected by a hallway water pipe burst out incident recently. They only cares about fixing the property, not residents safety given the COVID situation. They continuously argue that the apt is habitable even when there were five+ noisy dry machines in your bedrooms with 70+db 24/7 and many workers went in and out without mask. The incident was definitely not decently handled compared to all other good communities I know. I have to say the recent terrible experience left such a terrible impression for me and I’m not sure I want to continue live here.
Great place to live. Clean areas, well maintained, multiple amenities. Dog friendly. A good deal of natural scenery. Residential peninsula, but plenty to do. Wind generally picks up in the evenings, but mornings are fantastic weather.
Great views and apartments. Leasing office and maintenance teams are very helpful and friendly. Both Eddy and Srdjan have been very fast and efficient with fixing any maintenance issues that pop up!
We moved from Chicago to California a few months ago. Blu Harbor is nicer than most of the resorts Ive ever stayed at.I love it here! The property is gorgeous and management is fantastic. I sent pictures of our new place to a friend and they were so jealous that they didnt talk to me for a week.
I had a great experience viewing, touring, and deciding to lease an apartment here. The staff were helpful and made it easy to complete everything from the self-guided tour to getting set up for move-in. The amenities this place offers seem to be the best in the area.
Writing to say that we had an awesome maintenance experience today with Srdjan. He was prompt, courteous and efficient and just a super nice person. Happy to have him on staff at our home here at Blu Harbor!
5 star service from the leasing team during my 2 years of living here. Theyve been extremely helpful through the process and even helped me find a package I accidentally mailed here last month. I really appreciate them going above and beyond. Thanks Blu Harbor crew!
The touring experience of Blu Harbor is fantastic. Mariha in the front office was incredibly helpful and kind and the complex is gorgeous, quiet, and luxurious. We toured nearly 10 complexes in the Redwood City, Redwood Shores, and Foster City area, and none of them compared either on tour quality and experience or amenity offerings to Blu Harbor. We are so excited to move in to this community!
Absolute 5 star experience from start to finish. We’ve looked at so many apartments in our search for our next place and Blu Harbor immediately felt like home. There’s such a calm atmosphere, beautiful views, clean spaces, friendly people, and helpful leasing agents. I can’t say enough nice things about the leasing process so far!
Blu Harbor is conveniently located in the heart of Redwood City but yet it gives sense of closeness to the ocean since it surrounded by water. After a day at work, one can certainly unwind and enjoy the stunning view of the marina. Also, Windsor encourages feedback from everyone and this shows dedication to providing excellent customer service.
Blu Harbor is located in an amazing spot away from the hustle and bustle of the highway and city life. The amenities are top notch with everything you need as well as great access to hiking and biking trails. Mariha, our leasing agent, did a great job answering all of our questions about moving to Blu Harbor and facilitated our self-guided tour to multiple units.
Great place to live. Very quiet and safe. The bay is a bit dirty but it doesnt smell for me. The Bair Island can smell a bit at times but you need to go there to feel it. A bit expensive, but not substantially more than other places around. Stone pizza oven in common area is awesome. Very well equipped gym. 5*
I had a great experience touring Blu Harbor. Its a beautiful property with just the right amount amenities, beauty, safety, and privacy that youll love to call home. The management team is extremely helpful and provided all the info I needed to make my decision to move to Blu Harbor. Even allowing me to view the property twice and take measurements to ensure it was the right choice. Thanks for Mariha for all your help!P. S. You wont find a better reviewed property in Redwood City. Trust me I did a week of research.
My fiancee and I have been hunting for apartments for a few months now. Weve had a variety of experiences, both good and bad, but Blu Harbor is definitely one of the best. We scheduled a self-guided tour and immediately loved the property. Unfortunately, units dont stay on the market long because this community is so popular! Also, management was very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend checking this place out.
Recently toured Blue Harbor, and loved the location and amenities offered. The leasing agents were very helpful in terms of finding the right unit and location on the property. Units were very nice, and seems like a great location if you’re looking to be close to downtown Redwood City, but not directly in the city.
This place won’t help you if you’re out of town and your pet sitter has trouble accessing your apartment. You’re SOL if that happens. Thanks, Windsor!
The community is absolutely beautiful and feels very well maintained. The apartments are of very high quality and from what I saw they offer quite a bit of sun and space for anyone looking for a spacious and quiet place to live. The entire marina looks great and all the conveniences packed into the community make it a must see! :)
Blu Harbor is a luxurious apt in Redwood City that has nice amenities and a good environment. When I went there for a self-guided tour, the staff were helpful and the process was smooth. Initially I had reservations about its location because it isnt as close to the downtown as other apartments in the same price range but it has its own walking trails at the waterfront that I no longer have to walk to downtown to get some exercise. Overall, I like Blu Harbor and would recommend it to people who are looking for an apartment to live in.
Having moved in September this year, I have loved everything about Blu Harbor. The location is great and only 20 minute drive to Palo Alto. Its quiet for relaxing and switching off from a busy day. I hear no one once in my apartment. The apartments are well insulated and doesnt cost a lot to keep the apartment at 70F all day long. All appliances, furniture etc included in the apartment is well constructed and all high build quality. The leasing office team are all very friendly and extremely responsive to any questions or concerns you may have. I would recommend this to anyone looking to live close to Silicon Valley, but with amazing water front views in a high quality apartment. The views alone with the sunset is worth it. Defiantly recommended.
We have been living here for 18 months now. And this is our second apartment in the community. We couldn’t move out after first lease because, considering the moving costs the deal we got was better than other place we found.-Noise: both apartments we lived the upstair noise is disturbing but the second one we transferred it is unbearable. Every morning they stump on top of our bedroom and wake us up. I tried to reach to office multiple times but their response is”it is an apartment living, we can not make heavy walking people stop”. So here you go. Throughout the day they walk and our floor shakes as if there is an earthquake.- there is dog hair and urine everywhere, underneath of every concrete structure and every corner.- we loved Angela(not the robert though) before they transferred to other building and new leasing office personnel is unprofessional and judgmental most of the time. Especially I had bad experiences with Mariha(I am writing her name with the hope that she will change her behavior someday).- even though we personally hand out the move out notice, we were almost get charged because they lost our paperwork.- even though maintenance workers are nice they don’t know how to fix things. They broke our balcony door when they try to fix it and we requested at least 4 maintenance for our microwave which sometimes still not functioning properly.
We are relocating to the Bay Area from Houston for family reasons. We searched north and south of San Francisco. We chose Blu Harbor because of the cleanliness and resort feel of the property. The area is flat and the views of the marshlands and waterways reminded me of my Houston home! It will be perfect for walking and bicycling. The large gym, salt water pool and other amenities are beautiful and inviting despite Covid restrictions. We are especially pleased with hardwood floors/tile throughout the unit. The kitchen is clean and looks like new. The open floor plan is very spacious and will fit our current furniture perfectly.Mariha in the front office was extremely helpful and genuinely caring in helping us with the application process. The only hiccup has been the software was not working properly. Hopefully someone will figure out a way for that to work better on a phone.Very much looking forward to our upcoming move.
I did a self-guided tour of the property to help my parents find an apartment from across the country. The team was so helpful and accommodating as I FaceTimed them in for the tour as well. Blu Harbor is a beautiful community and a great experience. It only took one trip for all of us to decide that this was *the* place for my parents and pick an apartment!
Loved Blu Harbor! This place was amazing through and through, even though it was during 2020. Mariha was our main point of contact and she really solidified the excellence that Blu Harbor is. Going to really miss this place! 10/10 recommend.
My two pups and I lived there for a year and loved our place and the location. It was quiet and had a nice view of the harbor. The leasing office was very responsive and helpful. I felt safe there as a single woman.
Blu Harbor is an awesome place to live and we have had a great experience over the past 7 months! The leasing staff is helpful (Mariha is amazing and went out of her way to help us when we were making our initial decision to move and throughout our time here), the grounds are buildings are clean, and weve loved the experience! Definitely would recommend.
The property is absolutely beautiful and the apartments are in great shape. As of right now, theyre a steal and if youre a potential new resident this place should be on your radar.Unfortunately, the place I have probably been most excited about to live has arguably been the most frustrating in which to live. From balcony/patio audits, that merely clash with their desired aesthetic to not activating the smart locks that are ALREADY installed on the doors but refuse to be grant to occupants to use, the middle management layer refuses to actually participate in any conversation on making this a great place to live. Most recently I inquired about the seemingly high rate of utilities their managed provider you cannot dispute anything with charged me, found discrepancies in the billing I would like address, and received a courtesy notice to leave without paying charges. That suggests that my unanswered questions might have some merit or dont actively want to have a conversation and question the why? and investigate to bring a successful resolution to an issue -- Im not sure which is worse.Shout out to the leasing agents and maintenance staff who work tirelessly and are absolutely amazing. I look forward to hopefully editing this review when it becomes the reflection of the aesthetic it sells on the other side of the walls.
Had a great experience self-touring the property! We showed up a bit earlier than the appointment time, but they were still able to accommodate. They have great COVID guidelines in place, and Mariah was super helpful and informative. We love this small community and the people helping to manage it. Well be submitting an application :)
Why didnt we start with Blu Harbor? Many apartments and houses in the local area and we found our home. We have on our whats important list; clean grout, hiking and biking trails outside our front door, pet friendly, lots of windows great views.
Beautiful property, very quiet, lots of wildlife, modern appliances, and kayak rentals. We really enjoyed our tour here today!
Since I move to blu harbor, the maintenance team been exceptional specially Eddy he’s been my life saver, always professional and very respectful !! Thank you Eddy !!
I am so honored to provide this feedback for the Blu Harbor by Windsor team. I moved here in January, coming all the way from the east coast. The entire team, especially Nassira and Mariha (I worked with them the most) made the process so smooth for me—from helping me find the perfect unit, to walking me through any questions I had along the way. Before I moved in, Anjelica even took time out of her day to take photos in the apartment for me just to make sure I loved the view from my balcony! This team provided excellent service, even as we had to socially distance and do our own virtual or self guided tours. Their smiles shined through the masks and I have absolutely no regrets about moving here. Please share this feedback with the team members I mentioned, as well as their managers. Kudos to you all. Thanks!
Wonderful tour, kind and responsive leasing office staff, and great facilities! Thanks so much!
This has been the best apartment I’ve lived in. So luxurious, the area is quiet and neighbors are friendly. The office team is really responsive and they actually care about the residents here. They’ve gone out of their way to help me with missing packages, switching parking and giving keys to my Mom who was locked out. 5 stars, all around!
Blu Harbor Apartments is a safe and beautiful place to live. The apartments are well-designed with lots of high-end, modern features. I enjoy daily walks to experience the views and wildlife around the development and on Bair Island, next door. Management is always helpful, timely and they work hard to make our living experience better! I love living here!
Only had a tour so far of Blu Harbor but the community felt really peaceful and the building quality was great. It was quiet in the corridors and everything was sparkling clean
I went for a self-guided tour. The property is beautiful, and I like the 1bd floorplan, especially the huge walk-in closet. The trail across from it looks nice for running. Although a bit farther from the restaurants and grocery stores than other places downtown, it looks quieter than other places that are closer to all the construction going on.
Love the community, all amenities extremely clean, beautiful view, outstanding community staff !!
We looked at many different places in Redwood City, Menlo Park, and Palo Alto. Blu Harbor was the cleanest and most well kept. Loved that is has direct access to hiking and biking trails.
My gf and I were nervous to find a new apartment during COVID, but we had a great experience. The team made us feel welcome and safe and we ended up submitting applications the same day! Everything felt very clean and everyone we passed was really friendly. Excited to be moving in and calling this home soon!
Mariah and Nassira were incredibly helpful and helped us to find our dream apartment. We are so impressed by the service and would recommend the Windsor apartments to anyone.
I just moved in, and I absolutely love my apartment! The finishes in the apartment make me feel like I’m living in a resort :) My favorite thing is the bathroom mirror lighting (love a good selfie). My move-in went so smooth and the office staff was helpful and informative. Even during this COVID time, they took precautions and made me feel safe to meet them and move in. I’m really excited for my new apartment and looking forward to calling Blu Harbor home.
Mariah helped us out with the self tour and answered all of our questions that we had. COVID protocol was terrific and we felt safe throughout the tour.
Lovely self tour experience! Staff was super friendly and property is beautiful!
Add-On Edit:Right after this post, the management complained about the fact that I Parker my car over night on one of the two EV parking spots, next two the only working charger, in order to be able to charge my car first thing in the morning (since the charger was occupied). They even copied and marked sections out of the renters agreement (That had no connection to their accusations) to threaten me in order to comply. I would strongly recommend anyone who is considering to move here (and owns an EV), stay away!Original post:The complex is beautiful and located in a breath taking area. However, the management over promises constantly on basic things that should be available since day one. Now we are almost 2 years in, 700 individuals living here and we got 1 EV charging station, which now costs between 20-30$ per full charge. The management promised 1.5 years ago that the parking structure is going to be equipped with EV chargers and since we live in Silicon Valley, 15% of the car fleet is hybrid or electric. Every comparable community has 10+ chargers, for residents available for free! And btw, every new public parking structure in the state of California has to equip a minimum of 7% of all parking spaces with an EV charger. My recommendation, if you drive an EV or care about the environment, find another complex! The management here seems not to care or even understand electro mobility. The promise on a marina, where residents could park their boats, follows the same pattern. Promised since two years and now take a look yourself how the marina looks.Worst part of the experience so far were the first 3 weeks, where we had to live with two rodents, because Blu Harbor didn’t manage to properly inspect the property!Get things done first before you charge people rent on a promise you can’t deliver!
Mariha was great. She helped us with the apartment search. She stayed after hours to help us. We look forward to moving in to Blu Hatbor.
We literally couldn’t be happier here. The entire staff is incredible, responsive, and kind. With my schedule I mostly get to see Mariha and Nassira around the property and they’re both absolutely wonderful. The maintenance team is full of superstars that respond unbelievably fast, and Simplicio is always amazing and can make anyone’s day brighter.
Great location, friendly staff, and nice amenities.
We have lived here for a year already. Every things was perfect until recently. They are lots of thing make us want to move out when our lease end.First, the fire alarm keep having false alarm. It’s already 4 to 5 times in these two month. It’s really annoying to be wake up or interrupt whatever you are doing by false alarm. It’s loud and keep timing for 20mins and doesn’t seem to be fix. Think twice if you are move in with old people or children. A false alar at 4 o’clock in the morning is terrible.Second, the soundproof can be bad for some reason. We got a notice saying that our neighbor complain about hearing media sound. We didn’t have any party but regular watching TV. I tried some test after getting the complain. I can barely hear the TV sound in the hallway and my own balcony. Now we can’t even enjoy watching TV after 8 o’clock quite hour. I personally didn’t hear any sound from neighbors but again think twice if you are sensitive to noice. Finally, it’s the unreasonable maintenance fee. It spend us $300+ to replace our kitchen pull down spray head. We ore OK to pay for new spray head($130~) even it’s obvious broken because of age. Lots of community replace it for free sine we don’t need a brand new one. The things we are not satisfied is they charge us $160 for labor two people $80 per hour I guess. They sent two people to fix a spray head and charge us full amount even they only spent not more then 30mins fixing it. Also we didn’t got any quote in advance and no explanation just the bill. We are definitely not expecting this charge, from my experience lots of community on side maintenance is in the rent. With the expensive rent here, I expect the maintenance to be responsible by community.Just some personal feeling to share. Over all it’s still a good place to stay. Beautiful view, safe and convenient location.
This property is AWSOME. I recently moved here from the south bay and was NOT excited for the process. Im thankful to the staff for making the transition smooth. Upon our first day moving, multiple maintenance staff offered assistance and welcomed my family to the neighborhood. The leasing office has welcomed us with pleasant smiles and bright energy-answering all of my question with patients and resolve. The atmosphere is one of a community that would normally be associated with suburban home owners-with most people saying hello-smileling through their masks as they walk to and from the marsh eco reserve trail. This morning I went for a jog and saw otters swimming and pelicans diving for fish. In 2020 this is exactly what I need right now
Stayed here for a full lease. Great place, great service. The only less star is for no flexibility on lease extension with a reasonable price bump. Super strict on lease extension.
I have lived at Blu Harbor for 3 years and I have had nothing be the best relationships with the leasing office (Robert) and Maintenance staff (Daniel). The neighbors are cordial and it is very quiet. Plenty of ways to get exercise and the view of the water is very peaceful.
Isnt funny how many 5 star reviews written here by accounts with no picture and only 1 or 2 review? And they all complementing the staff specially Robert?I unfortunately live here and none of them are true. The staffs are as unfriendly and unavailable as you can imagine. The moist and dog urine everywhere makes it hard to breath at night. The buildings are not sound proof. You can hear a lot of noise from neighbors and their pets.
Very friendly and supportive leasing staff!
I have never seen a management this irresponsible and unhelpful. The level of dog barking is insane, from 7am to midnight. This is basically a big dog care facility with non-existent management. To be honest, the area is nice and buildings are well built. But its being maintained by staffs who dont care.
Nassira was a huge help giving me all the details I needed when touring this facility!
My husband and I came to tour here and will be moving in shortly and we are so excited! Angela was so amazing and made us feel at home immediately. She was friendly and professional at the same time and made sure to ask all the right questions to ensure we found the home we were looking for! The leasing staff including both the mangers, were super helpful when filling out our application and took really good care of us. All the residents we met while touring were also wonderful, and we are so excited to be neighbors! We would highly recommend living here!
Lived here a few weeks and the staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate us. From getting us in early, to helping us track down packages that were misplaced. Robert and team continually go above and beyond to ensure we’re getting the absolute best experience. We’re So fortunate in finding this little hidden gem after our move from Raleigh to NorCal.
Great self guided tour!
I have lived here from May of 2017 and continue to live here for two main reasons:1.) The cleanliness of the community2.) Management’s enforcement of the rules.I moved here from another apartment community where tenants got away with smoking, not picking up after their pets, parking in EV charging stations longer than the allotted times, creating disruptive noise in the middle of the night, etc. Blu Harbor’s office and maintenance personnel is extremely responsive to ensure community policies are followed. I chose to live here because the place is expertly managed.
I give this place a 5-star rating because of the professionalism of the staff, immaculate grounds, and quality of the apartment design.
Moved here from Indigo Apartments to get away from the heavily congested downtown area of Redwood City. What a gem Blu Harbor is- tranquil and serene with an abundance of waterfront views. It’s expensive, but so are all the other new apartments in the area that aren’t even on the water or have a view. Need I say more. I just renewed my lease for another 13 months! I highly recommend!
We have lived here for about three months and love everything about it. We originally agreed to move-in in early November, but were caught in some of the construction shut-downs. Thankfully, Blu Harbor did everything they could to accommodate us, even giving us a temporary apartment for a couple weeks.Once we got into our permanent apartment, we immediately fell in love. The space is a bit larger than what we were able to find in other places in Redwood City, and we really like that we have top-end appliances and hardwood floors. We love looking out on the harbor every morning, and the walking paths, the gym, and the pool are amazing. We use the amenities all the time and love having everything so close to us.Rent is just a tad more expensive than nearby places, but this was truly a situation of you get what you pay for and what we pay for is much nicer than what we couldve had elsewhere. On top of all the great features, the Blu Harbor staff is amazing. Everyone from Franchesca in the Leasing Office to Daniel in Maintenance makes sure that were happy and comfortable in our apartment. We would highly recommend Blu Harbor to anyone who is looking for an amazing place to live on the water!
Spacious floor plans with beautiful views! They really define the Coastal Lifestyle that I like so much. If youre in the area, definitely check them out!
Excellent location near everything that Redwood City has to offer, but set in a quiet, beautiful peninsula spot overlooking the SF Bay. Very dog friendly community. Staff is very responsive and helpful, especially maintenance. Very nice, friendly neighbors. Outstanding fitness center.
This place is amazing! Perfect location with great views. Staff is very helpful, nice and friendly. My wife and me had issues with construction delays and had to wait for two more months after scheduled move-in date. That wasnt easy for us, but thats what you are aware of when dealing with communities which are under construction. After all Blu Harbor offered some refund which was very nice of them. Leasing office team was always helpful and did their best with every issue we had (both before and after move-in). Having this kind of service + awesome place to live, I feel like it was super right decision to move here! :)
Blu Harbor is an incredible place to live in the Bay Area. In my opinion, this is the nicest complex in the Silicon Valley and it is like living on a resort. The amenities are great and kept in very nice condition at all times. The gym and pool area are awesome places to spend your evenings and weekends. There are beautiful walking trails and kayaking areas right out our backdoor.By choosing Blu Harbor you are getting a first class living experience. The Bay Area is incredibly congested and many neighborhoods are poorly masterplanned. Blu Harbor and the surrounding area is a utopia, everything is new and masterplanned which I challenge you to find anywhere else in this area. This development is the area’s best kept secret. It only costs a little bit more to live first class and as a result you should give this place a hard look. The management staff is very professional and friendly. They keep this property in immaculate condition and as someone who has a keen eye for property management, I am very impressed. Any time I have needed assistance, they have always been willing to help in a timely manner. I have probably written 3 Google reviews in my life, so the fact that I have taken the time to write this states a lot about my positive experience. Keep up the great work and thank you for giving us a place we love to call home!
I have been leaving here since March and I am so HAPPY that we made our mind to move into Blu Harbor community. Before applying here we visited roughly most of all top-tier apartment complexes in Bay Area.So here is what we got so far:1. One of the quietest communities we ever found in Bay Area. It is really quiet here.2. Apartments are modern and designed wisely. By wisely I mean that I am very satisfied with floor plans. I was shocked when found apartments over $3500 where there is no place to leave a jacket or shoes… or where fan will be blowing directly into your head when sleeping, etc.3. Community is very friendly and nice. During lockdown (COVID-19) I can see like people communicating a lot via fb groups and helping each other4. Customer service. This part worth of special mentioning! I am absolutely impressed with how the Leasing Office is working with its residents here. I have been working with Robert and Mariha and I have to admit these people were doing everything that is possible to handle all my needs and asks. u2028We did have a few issues in the beginning so I contacted leasing office. To my surprise, some technician was in my unit within the hour and most of the issues were fixed same day.5. Location. I don’t think you will be able to find other similar location in Bay Area with modern apartments and windows looking towards harbor with boats. It is just perfect in any sense! In my opinion it is a great place to live overall and I have a solid understanding of what “am I getting” by paying a “bit extra” comparing to others apartment complexes in the same area.
Great place. Great people. Great value. Super happy we made Blu Harbor our new home. Staff is helpful, profesional and empathetic. They will go the extra mile to help. Thanks Kim and Robert; you guys rock.
New, resort-like, great!Lived in a 2b2b first floor unit for 1.5y. Very nice apartment complex! The good:Unit is modern, a bit of neutral grayish colors as the color scheme. Easy to work with for sure.Nice, modern open concept kitchen with glass-top stove, dishwasher, sink with flexible spout, fridge with ice/water dispenser, self-closing drawers and cabinets, ample lighting, bar.Bathroom is similary nice; floating lighted mirrors, slow-closing toilet, nice large showers, water reasonably hot within a reasonable time. Huge walk-in closets, too!Hardwood floors everywhere, ample wall outlets, master closet has cable box you can use to set up the Ethernet ports (1 in each bedroom and 1 in living). Washer/dryer unit is side loading, never had any problems with them.Exceedingly close to the water and Bair Island. People are friendly and walk around all the time. The complex is just 1 mile off of 101, and theres zero traffic since its on the north side of 101, so getting to the on-ramp takes only a few minutes. Mail room and automatic package storage/retrieval system are great. Staff is excellent; Robert was a great help from when I first toured to when I turned in my keys. The keys are keyless fobs, by the way, very neat. They have a Stockwell automatic store thing; just download the app and you can grab whatever you need and itll automatically charge you. Snacks, detergent, and other small conveniences.Wish it was better:(These are really just minor nitpicks)Hardwood floors everywhere means you can hear your upstairs neighbors walking around (or doing jumping jacks??) on occasion. Usually not very noticeable, and you cant hear talking or anything like that, so it really just depends on who lives above you. It can get extremely bad if theres a get-together though (one time not only did my ceiling light rattle like crazy, some of the furniture on the ground actually shook!!), but again, this is very rare. Honestly could be way worse.Gap between the bottom of interior doors and the ground is awkwardly large, but nothing a door draft stopper cant fix.First floor trash chute sucks; its not high enough for the trash containers so bags often get stuck in the hole or you have to really ram them in. The chute doors open sideways and are a bit annoying to hold open while youre wrestling with your bags.Parking garage is 6-7 floors high; youll get a spot on your floor, and any extras will probably be on the 6th floor unless youd like to pay a bit extra for a lower floor. Takes 1-3 minutes to drive all the way up or down; nothing terribly bad but it can get annoying. The garage is gated, though, and theres a decent number of guest spots.Theres no retail nearby. Youll need to go south of 101 if you want to go shopping or to get food. (This is kind of nice, though, as its quite peaceful and not crowded. Bair Island was actually going to be retail, but citizen activists stopped it in order to preserve the wetlands!) Note that 101 express lane construction means the ramps youd use to get here (Whipple) are often closed 8p-6am. Theyll be done in mid 2022.Our unit was on the corner right next to the leasing office and main road. As its the first floor, you couldnt really ever open your window blinds unless you wanted literally everyone taking a walk to see inside your bedroom. (If I opened my window I could have high-fived passerby, hah.) The living room view was of the leasing office; not very nice. But its just our particular unit; Im sure there are lots of others with amazing waterfront views.tl;drVery nice, new apartment in a great location. Highly recommend.
Spent a year here with my wife, it was perfect, the place is quiet, clean, great neighbors and decent amenities, awesome gym/pool/jacuzzi. Also the Tech Lead and Joma youtubers (tech bloggers) live here, I saw them a few times. The place is a bit pricey because of the location (5 minutes to Googles offices at Pacific Shores) but is worth it.
If I could give 6 stars, then I would! From the very beginning, the incredible team at Blu Harbor always made the difference. Robert was the first person who I worked with regarding my lease. His professionalism is second-to-none, and his kindness to help tenants goes above and beyond (i.e. helping with lifting packages to their car, etc). Kim and Franchesca were incredible during my move-in which was clouded with my own personal complexity (moving from abroad and recent surgery). They made everything seamless - I was amazed. The amazing and super friendly grounds & maintenance teams are FAST - and they always say Hi with a great smile & nod when passing by. The property itself is beautiful and located in a very quiet surrounding, with any amenity you could ask for! But honestly, its the Blu Harbor team that adds the special factor! Absolutely, they set the bar to new heights!
Expertly managed, beautifully manicured and most importantly, a peaceful place to come home to. The staff, including the guards, ground men and office staff take the utmost pride in their work here and it shows! Love the residents here, a good mix of young single people, young couples and middle aged folks with kids. You can pay the same price to look out your window at an automotive garage or a parking lot, but why not look out and see palm trees and a sunset over the water?
Great property!
Please do yourself a favor and do not even consider living here. My job makes me move quite a bit (6 apartments, 6 years), I have never felt compelled to write a review about other places that I have lived. I can say that the management team here is by far the worst I have ever come across. If they are not actual criminals (I am looking into that) then they are walking the line as close as they possibly can, continue reading and youll see what I mean.My fiance and I lived here for a year. Lets start with my first 3 months. In my first 3 months living there, my closet leaked from the first rain. Lets discuss how this was handled; there are pictures attached so you can see what they did and Ill fill you in on the rest (unfortunately, the pictures were taken after I had cleaned the place up a bit).To start, this leak was at most a 2 day job which took them 2 weeks. In those two weeks, they destroyed my 1 bedroom, scattering clothes everywhere around the room causing tripping and fire hazards, not to mention making sure there was no place to sleep except the couch. They were oh so generous to comp the 2 weeks that we were sleeping on the couch. There was available storage on our floor, right around the corner (I know, because I saw an open storage closet being shown) that they could have used to hang our clothes and put them in. Even putting the clothes on mobile hangers and in our living room would have been acceptable. They did neither. When I moved out, the house was a little dirty, but that was it. Perhaps a $200 clean job would have it sparkling and new again. They took over $1,000.00 for cleaning and damages that were completely made up. They not only took that $1k deposit, they sent collections after me for $350.00 after leaving. Normal wear and tear will cost you around $1,500.00/year, so be prepared for that. They charged me this even after forcing me and my fiance to live in squalor for 2 weeks. Additionally, a few suits that I did not wear much because they are expensive were destroyed in the process, about $4k in damages caused directly by Blu Harbor. Unfortunately I noticed this after leaving.Unless you like being treated like trash and having your money stolen from you....do not live here.
Have been living here for a month. The apartment is new and the gym is awesome.Everything is great except the price is a bit too expensive.
We thought this would be a great community to move in, we signed our lease in March with the promise that we can move in in August (but the building would be finish in July), because this complex was under construction I kept monitoring the websites move in dates and after a while we saw a delay and called and email to ask them to which they said they are schedule and according the leasing office ...no delays.Close to a month before moving in and after getting confirmation on several occasions that the building would be finished on time we gave our notice on our current apartment to move. We passed by Blu Harbor to see whats was going on, the building had no walls but the leasing staff said we had the wrong building (pretty obvious lie) and then said that the move in date is pushed to Nov 1, close to 3 months delay. All the compensation the offered after we gave our notice and lost a great deal due to their lies was a refund our fees or they would give us a month for free if we still move in and they advised us to move to an month to month lease (1500$ extra each month) and they would refund us when we move as rent credit...so we lost 1800$ in 1 year rent to which they said its not their problem.Avoid like the plague....if they lie like that about everything I am shocked of what they are doing to people who move in...poor management, no idea of reality.....Avoid!!!
Great environment but the sewer cost along per month per unit is $75. Crazy!!!Also, the mailbox, package and trash is far from building.
Beautiful but smoke free property inside & off all the property
Its a very nice place to live. At times it used to smell a little but since administration cleaned the waterfront is doesnt anymore.
So many fire alarms!
My co-workers raved about Blu Harbor and referred me here! When I first visited, I immediately saw why this place is deemed waaaaay special! There is no other apartment community from San Francisco to San Jose that compares! All apartments places these days offer a nice pool and gym, but who has complimentary kayaks and SUPs, boat rental slips, views of the bay, waterfront putting green, massage rooms, a nature trail and a seriously responsive staff! My favorite thing about Blu Harbor is that none of my emails go unanswered and they actually pick up the office phone! Hahahahaha! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been frustrated as a renter due to an unresponsive staff! Oh yeah- I love how they really enforce their rules too! By far- one of the most healthy and inspiring communities I have ever lived at! I already referred 2 friends here!
My favourite apt so far...
Stayed here for 3 months (corporate housing) and found the entire stay amazing. They usually responded swiftly for service requests and showed up to clean the apartment very often.
The view is amazing from my apartment and the property is top notch!
My name is Elana and I rented at Blu Harbor for about a year. At first everything was great! The facility was kept clean and there were always maintenance people cleaning. The staff was attentive and handled every situation with the utmost professionalism. However, after about 6 months, people weren’t vacuuming the hallway carpets or cleaning common areas anymore because two employees had quit. The back stairwell carpet had dog urine stains that were never cleaned up after repeated calls to management. Their excuse was the carpet cleaner was on order. 6 months later stains still there and no carpet cleaner. Lots of dogs here too. I love dogs but some people dont clean up after them and ruin it for all of us. Dog poop left on side walks and I found dog poop scraped off someones shoe on a step. Told manager about it, nothing was done. The worst part is when I was transferred for my job and had to break my lease 3 months early. I immediately went and gave my notice 32 days in advance. Their immediate response was the amount of money I would have to pay them to leave. Wow what happened to their wonderful demeanor? It was all about the money! They wanted all rent upfront if the apartment didnt rent!!! I thought this was ridiculous and told them no. My apartment will be spotless and I will be out on the last day of next month. I then paid my rent as usual. However, started getting demand emails for the amount due for three months rent. I called corporate who were just as ruthless in their tactics. They made my apartment available 14 days after my move out date! I told them again it will be ready on the 1st so they changed the date to the 5th. In the end the apartment rented immediately and they owed me about $60.00. But, no instead they sent me to collections for the full months rent and utilities even though it had been rented. I think they call this double dipping by getting rent twice for the same month!!! Stay away from this place. Its all about the money! If you have a boat and think you will be renting a slip soon, forget it because they have been promising this to tenants since they opened. Beware!
Stay away if you’re noise sensitive. The floors are really thin
Beautiful!!! Enjoyed the property!!
