I have attended Bliss nails a few times, which I always found decent although expensive, and received a gift card for my birthday. Today I went in to redeem it for a gel pedicure and dip manicure. There were several issues with my experience today that led to this review, and I recommended that others try a different nail salon, as I will not be advising friends or family to go to Bliss Nails. The biggest issue I had was with the customer service. When I went to pay, the receptionist, Amanda, told me the gift card was for zero and had already been redeemed in December. I knew that was false as I had received it for my birthday in April, so that was impossible. I called my family member that purchased it for me, who assured me there was $55 on the card and could pull up her credit card statements. As it turns out, there was $55 on it, so I’m confused and feel a little ripped off the receptionist said it was used already when it wasn’t.The receptionist, Amanda, then told me I had to use it only at the Manhattan Beach Bliss, not the Redondo Beach location. My feelings of being cheated returned, as the gift card clearly states the Catalina address on it. When it became an issue and I expressed my frustration, she finally accepted it. This is after she refused to run it, and my credit card was already charged.I waited for the receptionist to adjust my credit card amount to deduct the $55, and she assured me I could leave and it would be taken care of. Wearily of the receptionist and Bliss customer service, I left my phone number just in case. She called me after and said I needed to come back and receive the $55 or she would have to void the whole transaction. At this point I was frustrated, as I had to get a babysitter to get my nails done, and could not leave to head back to the salon. I explained this to her and her solution was to try to mail a check. My dip manicure and gel pedicure cost $141 before tip, and with my $55 gift card that left a balance of $86. I am in customer service, and believe with the experience I had she should have offered to void the transaction.I am in customer service, and I know things happen. I get it. What REALLY agitated me was the fact that I NEVER heard the words, “ I’m sorry about that”. From the fact that I was lied to about the card several times, having to return to be credited, having credit card statements looked up, all the inconveniences, I believe I should have at least been owed the simple words “ I’m sorry “. When I came back in, the receptionist Amanda handed me the $55 and just walked away, seemingly annoyed that I came back for it.I’m not sure if this is a tactic to rip people off, or an honest mistake after mistake without fair customer service to settle the mistakes justly. Either way, I urge you, and friends or family to avoid Bliss Nails in the future.
This is my new favorite place to get a pedicure now! This was my first time here even though Im a local. The salon is very aesthetic and the quality of my pedicure is the best Ive had in a long time. Extremely pleased and happy with the service here!
Tina and Tam took care of me and did a great job. Im a hairy working man with lots of callouses and cuts and I actually felt my money was well spent here. They paid a lot of attention to all of my rough spots and damage and it came out great. Thank you so much
Super relaxing and they make you feel at home, I asked for a special request which is to do matching nails along with my hubby lol they kinda laughed about it but they did not hesitate to do so 😊Ask for kim, shes good at her job and takes care of you very well when it comes to nails. You may ask.. why a butterfly? Its a meaning of a good change and hope🦋
I love coming here for my pedicures amd neck massage! Tracy is my favorite!! 🙏🏼😊 Thank you Tracy!!
I Booked my appointed to get acrylic nails, waited 20 minutes to be talked to. Then the person who was doing my nails says they dont know how to do acrylic.... she literally wanted to glue the cheap plastic things on to my nail with nail glue and paint them.. something I could have easily done myself at home. What nail place doesnt know how to do acrylic?
Poor quality. Nail polish applied too thick. After a day manicure looked like its over a week old..A week and a half later my gel manicure started coming off. Disappointing.Ive been here a few times, pedicure usually very good, but gel manicure not great. If you OK with average manicure, this place works
This was an experience but not good. The young lady running the front did not listen and had no customer service skills. We came to this lovely location for a professional mani pedi. One was good and the other was bad bad! Go somewhere else if you want a great experience.
The technicians were friendly and accommodating but my gel manicure started cracking and peeling off after not even a week. Gel should last, at the very least, 2 weeks. After paying significantly more than my regular salon, I have to say I am disappointed.
It was super clean, friendly and great quality work
I got older lady that tried has done very poorly my nails. Each of my nails has different shape and not what I ask for! The cuticles were not done precisely and dip powder she has done its not even. Terrible experience for $95 service plus tip! ( Regular pedicure included by other lady).Call ahead and ask for a specific person otherwise you get the worse old lady who barely can see!
I love it here! So professional and everyone here is so kind and willing to make you comfortable! They are great at their craft and use top notch materials. They are so clean, everyone gets a new kit and offer ALL beverages! I go to Tammy, she is excellent t! Kim is amazing as well! Thanks Bliss💅 Michele
Best nail does in the South Bay! Classy environment, extremely professional team! Ive been going here for 5 months and every experience is stellar! You can go cheaper places, sure. But if you want your nails done right, in a safe and clean environment BLISS NAIL LOUNGE is where you want to go!
I was very surprised that they dont use antibacterial soap in the water for the pedicure soak..it softens the skin and cleans the foot. For $53 I think they can afford soap.
We needed this nail lounge in the Riviera Village. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and makes you want to relax. Very clean and I really appreciate that the nail tools are sterilized and in plastic. I was a walk in on a Wednesday and had little wait time. I did gel manicure $38 and I asked for the exfoliating pedicure $35. I added callus remover which was $10 extra. Thats a bit steep since its usually only $5 most places. The nail technicians were friendly. Im used to always rushing so I was a bit thrown off that my mani/pedi was an hour and half long. The technician was super careful and took a long time on each nail. It was stressing me out at the time because I wanted to do quick nails... but honestly my nails look fantastic and the gel still looks new a week later. They asked if I wanted water, soda or champagne which is a nice touch. Great local spot!Small side note the place wouldnt let me check in to get the $5 off check in offer. It was a glitch in the system which said try again in 4 hours. That was a bummer.
Mahsa did such an amazing job with my dip acrylics :) Highly recommend her.
Honestly the place was ok....I paid 65 dollars for a dip manicure and my hands never even saw water and never got my cuticles cut. It was basically just a paint job
Very nice shop ask for Tami
Nice, not brilliant, but nice
Kind of expensive, but they do a good job
Great nail salon!
Annie is great!!
