I had to revise my review because they corrected a previously not so great experience. South Bay Sailing has great and knowledgeable guides. Everyone is kind and professional. I would definitely sail with them again!

Chartering a boat was a great way to spend time on the water! Their service was excellent and staff was very knowledgeable!

We signed my daughter up when she was 12 and we really loved it. She learned so much and had a great time. The staff was wonderful, and she had a great experience with the lessons. So hard to find something kids like and want to stick with at that age for some kids, but we will definitely be signing our daughter back up for lessons with them. Thank you South Bay Sailing!

I completed ASA101 with Captain Mike, Allie, and Andy, all of which were very knowledgeable and friendly. Each had a unique teaching style and approach to sailing, which exposed me to different strategies and sailing conditions. What I valued the most is the dedication of the sailing and the management team in making sure I understand how to navigate the waters instead of just memorizing names for the test. Being on the water is critical for developing the intuition. Highly recommended.

We had such a great experience with South Bay Sailing. Captain Mike was personable and answered all of the questions from 3 very excited kids.It was a beautiful sunset cruise for my husbands birthday and an even better deal with the Living Social voucher. We were able to sail in November with perfect weather conditions.We will definitely be back in summertime!

I have wanted to learn to sail since I was a kid...now that I am a bit older I decided to give it a shot. I went down to Redondo Beach for my first lesson and really had a great time. The instructor was helpful, friendly and really knows his stuff. I asked a lot of questions, got to steer the boat and really had a great time...I definitely recommend South Bay Sailing to anyone who wants to get out there and enjoy that beautiful ocean we have here in Southern California...Thanks again...

We absolutely loved our experience and are already planning for our next sailing trip. Our instructor Liam was such a nice guy and added to the overall fun of our trip. My 17-year-old son took the sailing lesson and per our conversations and my observation, this is our review. Mike is experienced and patient. His lessons are all hands-on and from the first lesson he expects students to dive in, yet he lets everyone go at their own pace. We scheduled sailing lessons via email and that made things very easy. My son looks forward to his lessons.

Love this place and have been booking recreational sales with them for a few years now. The booking process is more streamlined than ever now and my only hope is that they dont get so busy that it gets hard to book! They are courteous, organized and skilled and its always a good day On The Sea! Its a great treat to book an hour or two with South Bay Sailing to enjoy the coastline!

We had such a great experience with South Bay Sailing. The skipper was waiting for us when we arrived. We had 5 adults and 2 kids. He was so pleasant and answered unending guestions from the kids. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful way to end the summer. Thank you for such a great experience.

What a lovely experience. Emma was running the sail and she was great! We got there a little late - it was hard to locate the exact building we were supposed to meet at, so we lost about 15 or so minutes of our sail. But it was great - wish we couldve gone for longer!

My son is taking the STEM sailing class. Great hands-on experience on the water (23 foot sailboat) and they use math and science concepts right from the beginning. He had a great time and cant wait for the next one!

Very professional organization from booking to sailing. Eric our captain was enthusiastic and highly experienced, he put our inexperienced sailing family at ease. If you ever sail I highly recommend this company. We passed a platform full of seals in which we could almost high five them.

The first Sunday of the month BBQ and sailing afternoons are great fun!The J-28 and Farr 40 and the skippers are the stars of the show!The boats are really fast and fun.The staff is knowledgeable,helpful,patient and understanding.

We had a super fun sail! We did the one-hour skippered sail with our preschooler children, and the skipper was considerate, fun, and took pains to show the children what she was doing whenever they showed interest. Will definitely come back!

We were looking for a leisurely tour and Mike gave us just that. We were able to catch the sunset while the kids hung their legs in the water. Lots of fun, definitely recommend it.
