Chart House is a fantastic restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean, relaxing atmosphere, responsible personnel, quick service, and delicious food. The plates and the place itself are very stylish, and the waiters are attentive and welcoming. Definitely not the last time we are visiting this fabulous place!
This was a wonderful dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed, service was pro and the food hit the spot. Too many good things offered, but I enjoyed a simple chicken and potato plate with a delicious Caesar salad! My friends with me are Vegans and just ordered sides with complete satisfaction. We will definitely come again. I hear it is a chain so I will keep my eye out for another one.
Really good food at a really fun spot, with gorgeous views of the ocean if you can get a spot in the main dining area. Also very health conscious, the Farmers Salad was so full of high quality variety of greens and delicious, as well as the Mahi which is served with a great assortment on the plate which means very healthy and low calorie but also delicious! Top notch service too as you would expect.
I did enjoyed the scenery and the service was nice but the biggest thing that hurt all of us in my heart was that my granddaughter bought a beautiful birthday cake for my 70th birthday I never saw the cake they came out with a slice of cake with 7 candles on it . My granddaughter paid a $150 for a beautiful cake that I never saw I just saw slices. They were so disappointed that they got up and left The waiter told them that they took a picture and gave her a picture of the cake and told her the cake was beautiful and she wanted to know why did they cut the cake so I think the manager should take care of this somehow great disappointment. The whole cake picture us fro. The waiter. I really thought it was a slice given by the restaurant.
Chart House has been a long time establishment for fine dining throughout the beach communities in Southern California. They are known for their beautiful views of ocean and prime ribs.My first fine dining experience when we celebrated my graduation from high school was at Chart House in Long Beach. Since then, I have been benchmarking all prime ribs from other restaurants against the ones from Chart House. Prime ribs from Chart House are perfectly grilled resulting in tender and juicy beef meat.Since Chart House had joined the Landry Group, the restaurant chain has expanded its food menus and wine list as well.To celebrate my wife’s birthday, my daughter and her boyfriend treated us for dinner at the Redondo Beach Chart House. We went all out by trying different items on menu.Starting with appetizer, we had their famous coconut crunchy shrimp. It’s a popular item according to the waiter and it did live up to our expectation. The shrimps were crunchy and tasty.Since we like clam chowder and prime ribs as well as their popular chocolate lava cake, my wife and I both order a Chart Course set dinner which included a soup of choice, a main dish choice, and Lava Cake. I got the prime rib for my main while my wife chose the salmon. The prime rib was still as amazing as I remembered it when I dined at the restaurant for the first time. The tenderness and the taste were the best among all the prime ribs I have ever had.The seafood pot pie was fabulous. The creamy sauce was out of this world. Finally, our lava cake was the best. No wonder this restaurant is famous for its lava cake dessert. Our waiter was fantastic. His service was first class. He was kind and patient. He made our dining experience very special.
The food here is pretty amazing and the service is one of the best. I strongly recommend giving this place a try whenever you have a chance.
Excellent food and atmosphere. The only negative I could say is that we were a family of four and they put us in a corner when there were tables with better views of the ocean available. It would have been nicer sitting at an ocean view table since we did inform them it was our 21st wedding anniversary. Other than that I would return for another meal.
Faux mojito and calimari was good. Had the 3 seafood mix and not to good. Potatoes were cold and the prosciutto was overcooked. Had better for same cost.
First I have to say:I give the Service 1 STAR and the Restaurant Ill give 10 STARS.Im normally happy with this company because the food is always GREAT and this place was so beautiful this was our first time at this location. The server took 30 minutes to bring my drink and when I got my drink it was watered down because the ice melted. The server told me 3 times Im still waiting for your drink to be made but honestly I think he delayed in put my order in to the bar tender or something else. Our server had 3 or 4 other tables, the table behind us now their server was checking on them all throughout there dinner and that server had about 3 or 4 tables also. Our server was talking and taking to everyone, he was nice but????Thats all Ill say about our server just was not happy with him. We came here because it was my birthday. My 59th birthday Im normally happy with this company but not today, today I was just a little disappointed.Came here Aug 25, 2021 6:30pm
The Chart House is a nice place to dine. The food portions are minimal and the prices are high. The food is not consistent when it comes to the taste and texture and presentation. The service is at best okay. The Chart House gives off this vibe as Artsy Fartsy, and I shouldn’t have to dine at these prices and there’s a barking dog 🐕 at the next table. This place was better back in the day.
This is one f my favorite restaurants in LA. Located on the water with 270 view specially recommended in a time of the sunset, it’s spectacular. The food are awesome with wide selection of seafood. The service is something special, you really feel the VIP treatment. I even remember the name of our waitress Anastasia, she knows how to offer a aaa service, don’t forget to leave her good tips.
Exquisite cuisine, enjoyed the smooth lobster bisque with chunks of lobster pieces, house spinach salad a wonderful choice on greens (tossed by server Vanessa who was intuitive to catering to our table), lemon crunchy buttery salmon melted as soon as it entered my mouth, humongous mud pie to be shared by three persons. Never been to a Chart House, surprisingly not disappointed, definitely would return to try other menu choices and their lava chocolate dessert Table with a window view of the waters an added bonus of intimate dining.
Jamie was our server and he did a amazing job! The staff that supported him did equallys amazing job. I would suggest coming here!
Definitely impressive especially if you are going on a first date. Romantic, ocean vibes right on the beach, watch the sunset and relax over a glass of wine. Dessert is a must
The view of the ocean simply lovely when the beach is empty. Very nice watching the waves flow in while eating... Nice location, great price.. We arrived about 5pm for dinner and the foot traffic was mild.. As soon as 6pm hit, the crowd started rolling in. It was nice to have a seemly quiet dinner before all the loud noise.
I, order a soda when I got there about 8:30 I didnt receive. I went to the bar to get one the server charged me for it anyway our food was warm.. Couple of people had cancelled their food. Some was under cook and cooked to much. The salad was dry we didnt receive her dessert to closing time. We will never eat there again.👎
The food was pretty good i recomend 🙂
Terrific! This restaurant was excellent! Their staff were very helpful and hospitable. It was prepared by the chef and very admirable because of its very good taste. He was doing really well that day and it was impressive. Its melting my valuable heart. I feel the pleasure of the food he has prepared. I am so grateful to him that he made great food for us.
What a special birthday with my kids! Food was VeryGood. But the View of the Sunset was spectacular!!
We were there celebrating my brothers birthday on 8/27 and Food and Service was AWESOME!!!
I told our server it was my daughters birthday at the beginning of our meal and then went over to him at the end of the meal thinking that their would be the usual birthday song from the staff. But it was not done for us.We had heard them sing happy birthday to another table.I wondered if it was because we were Black we were not given the same treatment.
The Chart House restaurant is open in Redondo Beach California. Reservations suggested because sitting is limited (no outside seating). The food is good, when brought to our table it was hot and the presentation was appetizing. Victor was our server, great job. I would come back.
Food was amazing. The server Anthony was very professional and quick to serve us. However the server Fred made me so uncomfortable. I hate to rate 2 stars for a restaurant that servers great food, desserts & drinks but shortly after my table was seated Fred came by and took our drink Order and we was asked are we paying together or should he separate the bill Never in my 28 years of dining have I been asked this question by a server. everyone at my table even agreed that they have never been asked that. We all sat in silence looked at each other because we were caught off guard and didn’t know how to answer. Even while trying to place the orders Fred seem to want to control how we ordered. The entire interaction with Fred was just very uncomfortable very controlling demeanor and it wasn’t welcoming. this was very disappointing me and my entire table were on vacation and that day was my birthday even though we enjoyed the dinner the waiter definitely made us uncomfortable and we’ve never experienced anything like that I would definitely still recommend this restaurant because the food is very good along with everything else on the menu I would just advise that they Coach Fred on serving tables in a different way.
Awesome location on the beach. Great bar in the center of the restaurant overlooking the beach ocean. Our waiter Steve explained every dish my girlfriend had a question about. Steve was incredibly friendly, great customer service and knowledgeable about the menu options. Greeted by super friendly hostesses too. Great overall dining experience.
Happy hour was very good. Service was excellent. Would definitely go there again.
Had my wedding here in 1999. I returns just last summer and had the most amazing experience. Thank you so much for the amazing coconut shrimp. Still my all-time favorite!
Went for dinner to celebrate my friends 69th Birthday and her Daughters 50th. Had a great time. Food was good 👍🏽😋👌🏾
I was a little disappointed and surprised. Ambiance is fantastic! Staff and team all good. It was my wife’s birthday and it seemed like a special opportunity. Cut it short... Salmon was mushy....sort of bread pudding?? The Cesar salad was a little limp (I.e., non crisp, cold). I would have gone Houston’s if I had it over...or even HT Grill (which I loath). Too bad. Might try again but doubtful. Peace.
Great food and service and you cant beat the view.
Asked for table for one. Response You can just sit at bar. Ordered $40.00 filet medium rare then needed to ask for a steak knife because too tough for dinner knife, which is not normal for a filet. So for $50 bucks I got a tough steak at the bar with glass of water.
I got the filet and it was so juicy and flavorful. The views are amazing as it’s right on the water. It’s also a bonus that they have a place for customer parking. 10/10 recommend!
Parking: Valet, $6, but I was lucky to find metered-street parking with the meter broken. So it was free.Service: Nice service. Our server was this conscientious young lady from Ukraine named Anastasia. (5 Stars)Drinks: a glass of Chardonnay, and two orders of Pina Colada (all three were quite good) (4 Stars)Food:Appetizers -- we ordered three for our group of 5: An octopus one, shrimp cocktail and calamari. The octopus was so-so but the latter two, the shrimp cocktail and calamari were really good! (4 Stars)Main Entree: I believe each one of us had steak. I had a filet mignon and it was quite good. (4 Stars)Sides: I shared a chopped salad with my sister but it was wilted. I did not say anything because I was a guest and, also, I did not want the kitchen to spit on my lava cake which I was looking forward to ordering. We also ordered Asparagus, which was really nice. So 3 Stars for this category but 5 stars for the Asparagus.Dessert: Ah, the best part. So they gave us a complimentary dessert because two of us were celebrating our birthdays. The complimentary dessert was a Mudpie. Very good! Then our group ordered two Lava Cakes and they came with a scoop of homemade Strawberry Ice Cream. I believe homemade means they made it themselves in the restaurants kitchen. Anyway, this was extra good! 5 Stars all around!Even though I did not pay for it, I heard the bill came to $400 before tax and tip. So with tax and a tip of 20%, that came to $100 per person. That was great since we ordered a lot.So in summary, except for the wilted salad, everything was just great!
This place was great! View was great! Food was better! Wait staff was super attentive! Tasty libations. Loved the vibe. Honestly, probably wouldnt have picked this place to eat (I live in the IE), we came for a relatives bday party because its his favorite place to eat, A BUT I will make the drive again. Chart House is now one of my faves too!
Hi quality food and service. We had the chocolate lava cake. It made my eyes roll up
Mediocre. Great view, sure. But service was terribly slow (on a slow weekday evening). Fish was overdone and underwhelming. Nothing to get excited about.
Good service great view of the ocean our server was very delightful the food was decent
Kim, our server did a great job!
Such a cozy place! Food was great !
Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean. Fine oceanside dining at its best. Top shelf cocktails and great food.
Good food, great service. Wife and I went there for her early birthday dinner today. Once our server found out, he served us complimentary dessert. He was very attentive. I failed to get his name. Its either Brett or Monte. Regardless, everyone was genuinely nice.Reason for not giving 5 stars is because we reserved ocean view table but ended up in the middle of the dining hall.
Had the surf n turf was fantastic. Service was awesome
We love Chart House and have gone there for our celebrations for many years. We were so sad that our local one closed this year, so decided to try this one in Redondo Beach for my birthday. They have done a wonderful job of accommodating the current reality of being unable to dine inside, and have set up a dining area just outside at the edge of the sand. It was really nice to have a wonderful dinner and hear the waves and watch the sunset. Thanks for a lovely evening!
Absolutely delicious and the ocean view is truly spectacular!
Unable to provide adequate service. Food did not come to the table. We left after 1 hour of waiting, with no explanation from wait staff. Thanks for ruining Mothers Day!
WAITED 2 1/2 HOURS & THEY DIDNT BRING OUT OUR FOOD. DISCRIMIANTED AGAINST PEOPLE OF COLOR & THE DISABLEDI had the WORST experience on mother day 2021. I made reservations on Open table & when I arrived, me and my mother were seated immediately which was great. We got seated in Chairs that were uncomfortable for my disabled mother. When I brought it to their attention, they said oh well, it is covid. We will not be changing tables. We ordered our food & we were waiting for our food to come out. 1 hour went by, nothing. 1 1/2 comes by & still nothing. We flag down our waitress to ask her if everything was alright. She told us that the cook left mid shift. YES, the cook QUIT mid shift while he was preparing food. She told us to hang tight. Another hour goes by and nothing. I tried to flag down our waitress again & she seems to start ignoring us at that point. We waiting another half hour & then she FINALLY came over. She said that it would take a little longer. At this point my disabled mother was in pain form sitting & ive had it. I refused to spend over $200 on food from an establishment with incompetents staff. I asked for to leave. She stated that she will get the manager. 2 mins later she returned and says that the manager was busy. Turns out, the manager was hiding from everyone due to the complaints. This place is horrible to the elderly & the disabled. AVOID!!!!!
Our waiter Jared was great! Very friendly!
Chart house was amazing- we were able to watch the sun set on the beach while enjoying upscale steakhouse service. They were covid-conscious and social distanced. The prime rib was to die for, and filet was great too. The clam chowder was excellent and super clammy, wine was reasonably priced and the triple mashed potatoes were delish. Kind staff, would highly recommend!
I admire this spot! They provide first-cleass meals, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that place is very trained, I enjoy a lot tasting all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the service towards the customers is good. I often eat in this place and I was never discontended. I recommend it with no hesitation.
I actually love their food and customer service, great area close to my residence. The workers are always kind. Will come back again.
Been going yo the Chart House in Redondo Bch since I was a kid. Still a great place to go for a special occasion or aftr a day @the beach! Great View
Good food, nice ocean view.
Waited almost a hour and half for a bowl of soup and it was cold . Beautiful setting.
My husband and I got married on November 25, 2017 and had our wedding reception at the Chart House Redondo Beach. I am a Hermosa Beach native, Arizona transplant. My husband is an Arizona native, Florida transplant. When deciding where to get married, when knew it had to be by the water. We ultimately chose Hermosa Beach as our wedding destination because of the beauty and charm my hometown offers. We were working with a small budget, and were struggling to find a reception venue that could work with our needs. I contacted the Chart House, half expecting a negative response due to our budgetary restrictions. I could not have been more excited- and pleased- with the warm and positive email I received back from their sales manager, Nicole Lazo. From beginning to end, Nicole and her staff at the Chart House did an incredible job. I cannot say enough great things about the Chart House Redondo Beach, and their sales manager Nicole. One great thing about the Chart House is they are really flexible and accommodating. My husband and I were on a tight budget, and the Chart House allowed my brother to make our wedding cake- and some small passed desserts- for no charge. Additionally, Nicole worked with us on the menu- and available private party areas- to find exactly what we needed, within our budget. I didn’t feel like we were forced to order sub-par items or beverages- if anything, I feel the exact opposite! Additionally, she offered to make us ADORABLE and classy custom cocktail menus for our special day. She was agreeable to us bringing our own décor and music, and was very organized. There was one minor slip-up on my end: the day before our wedding, the the friends who I had enlisted to setup the décor for our reception became unavailable. I was in panic mode, but Nicole immediately offered to do it herself (which is not part of her job). She did an incredible job, and saved the day!The service was impeccable, the food and beverages were incredible, and the Sunset/America’s Cup rooms were gorgeous. The view from the rooms cannot be matched! We had 4 servers working our party, and I don’t think there was ever a moment where one of our guests needed something. One of the servers was so nice to make- and save- small plates for my husband and me, as she knew we were busy “working the room” and chatting with our guests. We had such a memorable and beautiful evening, and I am so thankful for Nicole and the Chart House team for making it happen.I would highly recommend the Chart House for your wedding reception. The food, drinks, service, and views cannot be matched!
Beautiful restaurant by the beach. Wonderful food and a magical experience.
Had apps, drinks and desserts after checking out the rooms available for a family event.
Amazing view, food was delicious, and sevice was phenomenal Im definitely going back!!!
I loved it !!! Very good service and the food was amazing
One of the best filets mignon around
Im glad we found this place. Service was great and food was yummy!
What an great evening! Aaron was a great server. Had the privilege to enjoy a new drink, not even on the menu. Pretty damn good! The Mango was my favorite of the three. 👌🏾Oh and the food... Amazing. Fillet mignon was cooked perfectly and the Alaskan King Crab melts in your mouth. My date had the Crab Crab cakes, tasted amazing as well. Then to top it off with the Molten Lava Cake... Oh man... Will be here again next time I am in town!
Has dinner here for my sons birthday And it was amazing!! We had to sit outside, but it was lovely we had a great view of the ocean!! Service was great and food was excellent! Thank you for making his night!
Take out / pick up experience excellent. Ordered by phone. Order correct. Food great, as usual
$6.00 for valet parking or parking at a meter. On a Friday night to celebrate 3 family birthdays. Our waiter-Jerold tended to all our needs. He always checked on us-making sure that our water glasses were filled and that we got bread refills. All our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time with the help other servers. I noticed that Jerold rarely smiled (which was not a problem) but he made an effort to explain in detail all the foods that we ordered and the evenings specials. We were surprised that the birthday kids had our names printed on our menus and that he brought a cake with a candle for each of us.We had a good time at this Charthouse and would recommend other people to have dinner here.
Amazing place for steaks, side dishes and my favorite place to eat cheesecake! we enjoyed a lot
Food wasnt all that great to me
