I have been taking my cars to Sci-Tech in Raytown for 8 years for everything from super minor repairs to large-ticket repairs. They consistently provide solid service and have earned my trust. John, the owner, has always been great to work with, and I have experienced equally good service from the rest of the team that manages the shop. I love having a convenient neighborhood mechanic that is always willing to help me out when I need it.

I thought I had a problem with leaking hose but it was the water pump. They explained what needed to be done and why. They were patience and answered all of my questions. The final price for all of the work was cheaper than the dealership. The repairs were completed on time. I plan to go back for my regular oil changes.

I was impressed by their detail approach to the best method of repair. Sci-Tech Automotive repaired my wifes car in short order. The repair turned out to be a very lengthy job but they completed it in 2 days. Thank you Sci-Tech

My wife’s oil light came on while she was driving home from work. That’s potentially serious business, and you want to pull over and shut off the engine ASAP. Luckily she was in sight of Sci-tech. We live in a different area of KC, so would normally not have patronized their business, but in a time of need, they were the closest shop to call upon. They did not disappoint. By the end of the next business day the oil pressure switch was replaced, and I picked the car up, all for a very reasonable fee. Highly recommend.

I had my vehicle towed from I-70 Auto Service. Sci Tech Automotive was very honest. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I gave them a list of what I was told needed to be repaired after doing their own diagnostic test I didn’t need everything that the other shop recommended. I’ve got to shout out about James (I hope I got his name right)!!! He wore a mask!!! I appreciate that. Anyway, a different place fixed a flat tire instead of putting on a new tire as we requested. But we thought, great only $30!!! But then James said the car would not pass inspection because the tire that was fixed, was considered dangerous. Plus the front tire looked so bad, you could see the rubber was unraveling and you could see the wires inside the tire being exposed!!! The other place should have caught that!!!! They are a tire company for crying out loud!!! Anyway, thank you Sci-Tech!!!❤️❤️❤️

I had a transmission replaced by this shop. When I got my vehicle back it wouldnt start in park. The flywheel wasnt inspected prior insulation. Several mounting bolts were not installed. Very poor workmanship. The amount of time they saved by not performing those important tasks will continue to make bitter customers

Needed a car inspection and called around and no one could get me in until the next week. Called sci tech and they could get me in the next morning. All the gentlemen were nice.

Showed up a couple of minutes early for a 9:30 APPOINTMENT for a simple Missouri Vehicle inspection. 2 people walked in behind me and had their cars pulled into the shop almost immediately, and I had to wait over 90 minutes before they even moved my truck and started the inspection. Overall it took over 2 hours for an inspection that usually takes 20 minutes to complete, with no apologies (or even acknowledgement) for the wait, while 2 people who came in after me both got their cars in first and had rides waiting to take them home after they were signed in.

They did a great job checking out a funky stuff on my car. Great job!

Lets just i shop around...the fella quoted me a price that was higher than Calverts and other repair shop...gave the other shop the business...good service...we were good on the labor...so no l wont use them...an AutoZone and Advance Auto Mgr...shook there heads at this our fit....they use to sell them parts...to each its own

We took are vehicle into this shop so they could figure out why it was cutting off and wouldnt start & they called us back within 24 hours and said that they figured out the problem. They fixed brakes & rotors and charged us $700. Took they car home parked it for a few days decided to drive it once to a friends house & when leaving the friends house it barely made it back home. Called them the next day they said bring it in again so we brought it in. Then they tell us its a transmission problem after taking are $700. The manager John then tell us to take it across the street to this transmission place see what they say & we can work something out. Did that called him back and nothing. 😥 I would never recommend they to anyone.

I had my Cadillac towed there in the snow the rear wheels had stopped moving and it was making a grinding noise. Someone said it sounded and smelled like my axle and or rear end went out.Turns out the car was just frozen. They are very honest they could have said the axle or rear end or something else and that would have been a lot of money. Instead they were honest. I would recommend taking your cars and trucks to them. They are very friendly and professional

Had my truck towed to Sci-Tech. They said my truck had melted wires and my alternator was gone along as well as my battery. 760.00 to fix it.Towed it to my house had a mechanic fix it new alternator battery was fine. 250.00 my cost.

Got me in for an inspection quick (had not realized plate was expired) did not notice they caused hood latch problem until at license bureau - hopefully fixed

I needed a state inspection, and Sci-Tech got me in the very next day. The man working the desk when I arrived was very kind and personable and got me set up painlessly with an account, and then I just had to wait for my car to be inspected. It didnt take long--I was in and out inside an hour. The technician was also very pleasant--he came in to tell me when my car was almost done, and he thanked me several times (then and on my way out) for coming in. Overall, my experience with Sci-Tech was fantastic, and I will be using them as my go-to car servicing place from now on. They seem to treat their customers very well.

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. I called the guy on the phone to get a price for service and he just said Well I would have to do a little research but Im guessing probably around $1,000 dollars... LOL Ford only wanted $615 and was willing to take the time to price everything out. If you cant spend a few minutes on the phone to price something out what makes you think I would come spend $1,000 dollars at your shop!

I would highly recommend this shop.

Took my car in for a two hour diagnosis to see why it was losing power. Told them it sounded like the timing was off. When I drove by to check on it the same mechanic was hopping around between three different cars. When I went to pick up my car they told me they checked my plugs (fouled) my ignition spark, and my compression. That in NO way was two hours of work (besides when the same tech is jumping from car to car HOW do they know HOW much time got put in on any one car), and barely addressed the problem I took it in for. I would only recommend this garage to people with too much money and willing to throw it away on crappy service.

Took my truck in for an oil leak. They quoted me $622 so I paid that to fix it. Truck is still leaking oil and they’re how quoting me $3200 for 4 more oil leaks that somehow just appear. Completely unprofessional company, wouldn’t ever bring my vehicle back here again
