In the very rare instances I have to call in customer support they are incredibly helpful, and in the even rarer instances a technician has to come by to help out they are always professional, clean, and efficient. I wished I asked for the name of the gentleman who helped 8/17 because he was great and solved the problem in 10 minutes with no charge to me.
I went to the Rapid City location to replace my router today. The gentleman who helped me was extremely nice and did a great job. Also the service tech who talked me through a factory reset was exceptionally helpful. The customer service from your employees is top notch.

Midco customer service is better than their WiFi honestly. I really didn’t have that many problems with their WiFi, just a bit slow and we had to reset our router a few times.
Posting bills on the 5th but not due til the 25th confuses the customer and store clerks and no one seems to know when bills are paid and how long they are paid for.
Well midco is absolutely the best option for internet and cable services in the Black Hills area theyre in person customer service and business policies are lacking. Even if you have automatic billing setup you cant make your last payment automatically. Nor can you make the payment at their office when you return your equipment. You have to wait for it to show up in the mail, youve probably moved so it needs to get forwarded. Then write a check the old-fashioned way. Complete waste of time.
Came here to pick up a self install kit and it was super easy. Staff up front were very helpful.

Midco tried to take advantage of my wife during install. They told her we’d have to subscribe to basic cable to keep local channels we were getting free out of the air. It’s not her fault because she didn’t know the right questions to ask. Only reason they get 1 star is because customer service made it right and didn’t charge me for the day I had the box and remote. What a horrible way to try and make a buck off people. I’d go with another provider if one was available.UPDATE 30 Dec 19: I was contacted by Midco regarding my issue and they made things as right as they could. The customer service after I reported a problem was great, but the first person I talked to before I posted my scathing review made me bring the cable box back to the store 30 miles away.Big kudos for trying to make it right. Still mad about the guy taking advantage of my wife though.

With all the negativity, I wanted to post something positive. I have had to reach out to the business support team several times and a HUGE shout out to them. I have talked with Jeff a couple times and Im sorry, but cannot remember the other gentlemans name. They are very helpful and courteous. Wish more places had the same level of customer service!

Added cable to our services from Midco and was told by the sales representative that it would at aprox. $161 to our bill which would bring our bill total to about $212. When we got our bill it was $317.56. This included a $75 installation, which is understandable, but doesnt account for the additional $30 on the bill. After waiting about 45 minutes to talk to someone about this I was told that because we started the service after the start of our billing date that Midco was basically double charging us for the remainder of the month. The rep gave us $90 off but still made it seem like the double charge was acceptable. He again assured us that we should see our bill at $212 next month but we will see if that actually happens. Either way, we will be looking to move from Midco to a different provider. I advise everyone to check your bills for tricks like this!

Stay away. They will throttle your speed at any given time of the day, customer service is non existent and they will not respond to any phone calls or emails. I have had way better service with vast. Do not use midco unless you want to experience speed throttling, and even simple tasks such as loading a YouTube video will not work. DO NOT USE!!

Cant remember the guys name that helped us, but he was very friendly and extremely helpful! He had a great sense of humor too. My husband and I spoke with him about the recent tragedy of Kobes death. Midcos internet service is also way better than their competitor - Vast. Midco is a fantastic internet provider. 🙌
I set up service with Midco and informed them Id be providing my own router/modem which was already ordered and in the mail. They said that would be just fine and to call them when it arrived and theyd activate it for me then. The router/modem arrived, and I called Midco. I was then told I couldnt use any router/modem that wasnt on their approved list. They said to see their approved list online (ha). I explained that my router exceeded the specs required for the services, that it was from a reputable brand, and that I was familiar with how to log into a router and perform all necessary setup. Too bad, they said. I had to cancel my service with them without ever having used it. The fact of the matter is there is nothing stopping them from activating my router but their silly policy. The point of the policy is to prevent people from buying an unfit router, trying to use it, and blaming Midco for the problems that result. This was clearly not one of those cases.The router would work with any service provider. So, I suppose Ill try another service provider.
We Enjoy the Cable & Internet service from midco . But the Price is getting so high that we are going to look into another provider. I called a while ago & was told if I referred a friend or family member we would get some $$ taken off our bill for a 1 time offer . I asked about anything else they could do.as we are long time customer. Always pay our bill never missed a payment. . ? We ended up dropping our extra extended cable to just basic. & Still pay too much . Its too bad because we love the service & have no problems . !! Thank you.

Customer service and the servicemen apparently are prone to communication errors. Ive recently scheduled to return a modem, and they conveniently forget how and where to pick it up, twice, so far. They tell me they will bill me $150 if it isnt returned. How nice for them.
Internet is fast, reliable, and affordable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The line was fairly long when I went in and they were very apologetic about the wait. On my way out, they even offered me a cookie. Its also nice to see the owner so active in the reviews showing a lot of sympathy for the customers issues. The only negative review I have is the wait time to be helped over the phone is ridiculously long. That really wasnt a big problem though, which is why Midco deserves the 5 stars.
I have had Midco in my home for the last 18 years, since they bought TCI. Easily the best ISP around, by a LONG ways. Their other services are great too. There is a reason I have never switched, for a new customer deal or otherwise, and it is because Midco is the best, period.
Expensive cable rude customer service.
I recently contacted customer service asking about switching my service. The customer service representative was disinterested in helping me and was more apt to get me off the phone by cancelling my services rather then assisting me. I am very disappointed. If it werent for the area I lived in, I would change companies in a heart beat.

Midcontinent used to be a great service, but anymore its not what it was. Issues with the cable reception quality for starters. Every day it will have glitches in the audio and video in the signal. The remote that controls the cable box is garbage. Press the guide button, and it acts as if you pressed the last channel button. The new router/modem combo wont allow anything better than a moderate NAT type on game consoles. Next time I move Ill be getting a different service for sure.
Horrible service. The Internet isnt reliable at all especially for the price. One minute it works and the next its down, cant get on the laptop or phone for Internet. Any type of streaming service like Netflix is out of the question. Honestly, there are more problems (fuzzy screen, buffering constantly) and instances of my service NOT working than working. It takes so long to get through to speak to anyone for troubleshooting its ridiculous. The troubleshooting is basic and Ive already done the steps dozens of times before calling. It does not work. Also tried to upgrade to the next service and it did not help. The service is just bad.
The internet is horrible. I have the best internet package and if anyone is on a cell phone and the computer it can take up to five minutes for a page to load. It drives me nuts. Absolutely hate it, will definitely be switching.
Bunch of Liars. Reason we go with Vast. Why schedule tech service and not show up. When I can to double check we were still on the book, she reminded me that it was 5/2 all day. Very rude receptionist.

Very poor customer service and problems with the tech support staff being very rude and domineering over the phone. I called on 10/4 and got one answer from one lady and called on 10/5 and got a different set of answers from another lady. The second phone call, she dominted the conversation and could not answer my questions. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said she would have one call me back in 24-48 hours. You mean to tell me there is not a supervisor on your shift I can talk to? Please! My wife is having medical concerns that Im already stressed about and you cant let me talk to some one in charge! Im not impressed at all and I think some one needs to do comprehensive overhaul of the customer service part of this company....

This company can be hit and miss. For a while my internet will be terrible, then for a while itll be flawless. Right now its working flawless so Im happy with their service.Update: After having their service for four years now, I can say pretty confidently that their service is consistent and reliable. If you are having issues with connectivity, I would strongly recommend buying your own router. The dual modem-router combination they offer doesnt work that well for wifi. After buying my own from Best Buy, I havent had anymore dead zones or connections dropping off randomly. Plus, you wont have to pay for the more expensive monthly rental fee. All in all, very happy with the internet!

We have 2nd to the best internet but sometimes it runs super slow low 20s and sometimes we have 100s so idk u guys have to fix a few things so we can have smooth running internet

Internet has been terrible lately, customer service on their 800 number will make you wait for 2 hours, then all they will tell you is we can schedule an appointment between 8am and 8pm, no set time, will call 20 minutes before hand
