This is the only review I can give. Ive emailed twice, and called twice, but have never received a reply. The most recent time I very carefully gave coordinates, elevation, and said that our view towards Ramona was relatively open and clear.I am a few miles out of town, and was inquiring as to whether sky valley had service out to this area, but if they wont answer an inquiry saying if they have service or not, I cant imagine that they have consistent customer service. Im going to have to settle for a combination of spotty mobile phone, and viasat.

I have had amazingly great internet for a couple years now. And very good customer service. Before I had Verizon in rural part of Ramona and they would throttle like crazy if you used too much bandwidth to were it was not usable. Love my Sky Valley!

Sky Valley has been our service provider for several years now. Customer service is excellent. Even when it turns out my equipment has failed, Bill and company have come out and helped me get back on line. If you live in Ramona, this is a very good way to get internet.

We purchased a house that had previously had service with sky valley. A service tech showed up unannounced and when he didnt get any answer at the doorbell he took it upon himself to take equipment off the house scaring the hell out of my wife. I would have appreciated a phone call, letter or something alerting us that they were coming. ignored the no trespassing signs

Ive been a Sky Valley customer for around 7 years. Im in the NE part of Ramona, up Magnolia. Ive been very pleased with the service Ive received during that time. Speed is serviceable, including HD streaming most of the time. Service has almost always been prompt and effective. It does suffer occasional down time, but it has never been prolonged. I hear all the time from people who are frustrated with both Cox and AT&T and so I feel lucky to have Sky Valley (besides... neither Cox or AT&T reach me).

This should not even be considered as an internet provider for streaming tv or gaming. They say they cannot guarantee gaming or streaming, but this is a GROSS understatement. Connection almost NEVER goes more than 30 minutes without dropping. Often requires a total restart of systems (not router). Installation conversation will go something like sure no problem, just cannot stream movies, play games, and internet work at the same time. Might be slow. This is about as far as you can get from we cannot provide reliable service at any time of any day, but its better than nothing At least be honest. 9 am on a Tuesday. This is not peak use, its lack of hardware.Having internet speeds slow, and connection losses might be acceptable during peak hours, but they dont warn you that its daily, all day, every day. Cannot guarantee, but they shouldnt even claim as a viable option. Almost false information regarding ability. Company does not have the ability to provide reliable internet in many areas but gets around it by downplaying the lack of connection reliability. The system needs upgrade, but why invest, when you can just tell the customers vague answers like cannot guarantee, instead of regularly will not work and continue to gouge because you are the only option. Owners should ask themselves when new ISP is available in our area, if the huge customer outflow will be because of the substandard performance and gouging? Answer is yes. Residents in Ramona cannot continue to support local businesses if they continue to gouge and sub par perform. Same old reply is likely we cant compete with the big chains. Yes you could, and we would likely support local small business, even at a bit higher price, but not when you claim to provide something and then refuse to expand, but continue to gouge the customers. Gouging is not only high prices, it can also be knowing you provide garbage, could provide better, but WONT, and continue to charge a standard or higher fee for basic internet service. Lastly, if you are a somewhat new customer and have issues, DO NOT waste your time calling or having them come out and check, bla, bla, bla. They are placating you. You will be wasting valuable time that you will need for the ENDLESS restarts, reboots, lock ups due to lost connections. Might even get roped into the 75 a month with the might help line.Bottom line is that there is a basic level of performance expected when you run a business that charges to provide internet service. If you cannot provide that basic expectation to certain areas then you should not take on the business and make the rest of the customers have even worse service, just so you can make more money.Sky valley is likely the reason larger or better ISPs are not available in the outlying areas. People keep lining their pockets so reliable providers dont see the market potential.Wake up. Its been 2+ years and it just keeps getting worse while they gouge and ride this out until a better ISP takes over. This is not local small business, this is bad business and taking advantage of your neighbors.I wonder if the owner would be ok paying 50 a month with the internet he provides me? Hum?

I am very happy with the internet service that I get from Sky Valley. I feel very lucky to have them. When I first moved our here I was told I couldnt get service at all.The internet works very fast for me and it has never gone down as far as I know. I can play Netflix and Amazon Prime which is great.They have been very helpful with advise, answering all my questions while I was trying to figure all of this out. I am very grateful to have modern technology in my old country ranch house, the best of both worlds :}

Most afternoons and evenings the bandwidth for downloading is at dial-up speeds. I have tested it with nearly every internet speed test available to confirm that indeed this service is sub standard.In attempting to get this resolved with the provider I have spoken to the owner of the company who has been rather flip regarding the inadequancies. Since there are very limited choices in the area I am led to believe he feels entitled to be snippy when confronted (very politely even) with the fact that he is charging 4x the going dial up rate for what amounts to the same product.I will be looking into the other broadband provider in this area to see if I can obtain a more worthy connection.

Sky Valley Network. After a recent storm I couldnt get back online with my computer. I called Sky Valley to ask for their help and they were amazing!!!! They could see that my signal was strong so we went thru a series of questions to determine what else might be the problem. Turns out my modem got fried with the several power outages resulting from the storm! Went and bought a new router and they walked me thru every step to get my computer online again. I have had to call them before with questions and they have always been polite, helpful and prompt !!!

The only reason to take this internet is because you have no other options. The only reason this service exists is because they have no competitors in most areas.Cable or DSL is light years passed what this company offers. Cable is 100x faster than what SVN offers and I mean this literally. This company is unable to keep up with how internet has evolved to be the main source of media and the ever increasing required data speeds.Ever year I search desperately for viable options before I sadly renew.

Really good service for the rural areas of Ramona. No data cap like satellite internet and good speeds. The internet can be slow during high traffic times, but its much better than any alternatives.The owner and employees are good people and stay on top of things keeping the infrastructure up and making improvements where needed and they have good customer service. They try to find ways to help relieve the high traffic.The network has very low latency (internet will feel quick for websites and such). The download speeds - again, great considering the rural areas with limited choice.We appreciate what they do for our town.

The service is ok during the day, BUT BE WARNED; The speed goes way down at night time (around 8:00) and you get about half the internet you pay for. 2/10 would not reccommend. Also every 30 second to a minute the internet just goes down for 1 second to 4 seconds.

Extremely rude customer service. They told us before we set up that they could compete with Cox, not by a long shot! But really Bill (the owner?) is the reason we cancelled.
