I went here to have my taxes done after moving to Raleigh from California a few years ago. The person who did my taxes did not tell me I owed California $750 otherwise I would have made the whole payment right there. Fast forward three years, I received a letter from California telling me I owe them $1,100 ($750 including a bunch of late fees and penalties).Did you get that? Let me repeat myself. The person who did my taxes DID NOT TELL ME I OWED MONEY. A TAX professional did not tell me I owed money to the state of California when doing my TAXES. Block Advisors made no attempt at restitution and did not even offer an apology.DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT DO YOUR TAXES HERE! Even if you have a super simple document and you expect to be in an out, think again. Be smart and do the right thing by hiring a qualified CPA instead.

Ok service. I am frustrated because as a company, they do not publish a fee schedule, so there may be some sticker shock once final cost has been calculated. Without an established rate for each document, how do I know that I am being charged correctly? Nice office though, staff is friendly as well.

My advisor this year -- KAREN FOSTER, HR&B 805 Spring Forest Rd, Ste. 1800, Raleigh NC -- was extraordinary: warm, friendly and professional. We connected immediately. She processed my taxes quickly, made the experience so pleasant, and gave me sound financial advice at the end. Her financial advice matched that of my financial advisor, so it was clear that she knows her business very well. I would refer my friends to her directly, by name. 3. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming, with fresh coffee and a charming attitude. I wish I could remember her name. She deserves praise. 4. I barely had time to get my coffee before my advisor came out, all smiles with a great, firm handshake and good eye contact. Karen is so much better than the gentleman who did my taxes for the past two years (same office).

We have been coming to this office for 6 years in a row and our experience has always been fantastic. Ken, our personal advisor is simply awesome. Doing our taxes with his help is easier and faster each year.Yes, it is not cheap. Yes, the meetings can extend for as much as one hour and sometimes more than a meeting is needed. Nevertheless, the peace of mind is worth it.Few things can be as daunting as trying to do taxes by yourself. As much as we want to learn (and save,) it is not worth the headache. Even with the help of well-known software applications, there is always doubt, there are always questions that a Help screen cant answer. Besides, who has time to keep up with the constantly changing tax laws? I certainly dont. Weve heard enough horror stories from people who wanted to save money doing their tax but ended up owing to the IRS with all the stress that that situation involves.The staff in this particular office is made up of all-senior advisors which together sum up hundreds of years of experience. The office is quiet and cozy and all the staff is wonderful. You cant go wrong here.

Overall great experience every time. Friendly and professional. I have never felt rushed, or left feeling that I had any questions left unanswered.Update. This year 2021 my scheduled appointment was met with suggested drop-off tax preparations. I unfortunately assumed they would be processed the same day of my appointment. I was wrong. At no time was I informed my tax prep would fall into a que of avalibility for choosing this option.7 days later I called to follow-up on my tax prep after no communication at all from Block Advisors. I was told drop-off taxes will be handled in order received by Ron(receptionists). I was upset by the undisclosed penalty for bypassing my appointment in order to help the staff during a busy tax season amidst challenging times.I was transferred to Debbie H.(office supervisor). Who did her best to apologize but had no answer for not letting appointment holders know they would be put in a que if they didnt hold their appointment.This lack of communication to customers about the penalties for drop-off preparations vs. keeping your Appointment is concerning and misleading.Ultimately my taxes were submitted for approval within 10 minutes after the call with additional charges that I opted out of and awaiting reply before my taxes are filed. Would of been filed 7 days ago if I just kept my appointment.This interaction has encouraged me to lower the initial 5 star 🌟 awesome experience from this location to a 3 star. Mediocre 🤨 at best.Side note: Chloe (master tax advisor) has been a pleasure to work with in years past. This was not her decision.

I worked with Suman Sehgal and she was wonderful!!! I came in with a lot of questions and no idea of what to expect, since I have been doing my own taxes for years and this year was simply too complicated for me to do on my own. She walked me through everything and made sure I understood it, while also making sure we covered the details. She even went out of her way to speak with a colleague about a question I had regarding my LLC! Not only was she knowledgeable and helpful, she was patient and truly kind. I will happily refer anyone I can to her!

I would give zero stars if I could. I never expected a tax advisor tocause us so much stress and grief considering the amount of money that is charged in filing taxes. Calling them advisors is very misleading. We assumed by using a large reputable company that we would get proper advice and the advisors would do a good thorough job. We found out the hard way that’s not always the case. We are now paying a huge price for paying someone who didn’t pay attention to detail and someone who did not advise us.I am so stressed and disappointed by our experience.
