Appointment was right on time, no waits. Noticed the staff was very corteous with all patients. Jennys service was superb! She was warm, caring, detail oriented and very professional. She even coordinated for a courtesy service, being this my first time at their facilities. Highly recommend this place!
Horrible experience! Would give zero stars if I could. WARNING. IT IS IMPORTANT TO MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A COPY OF YOUR RESULTS OR YOU WILL NEVER KNOW IF THERE IS AN ERROR! I have been going to RR for over 15 years for various scans and tests. I have noticed the quality has declined over the years. This time my MRI report was incorrect, still dont know if the MRI results they sent to me and my Dr was for me or another patient. I will never know, and I paid over 3000 dollars for this ! Technologist entered the wrong info at the start of my test, which was never corrected. I would not have caught this if I had not requested a copy be sent to me. The History was incorrect/for another patient, tried for 2 months to get a copy of addendum, they kept sending me and my Dr the incorrect report. When they finally did send the addendum the header info on each page was cut off. Unbelievable errors. DO NOT TRUST RALEIGH RADIOLOGY IF YOU WANT ACCURATE TEST RESULTS.
My experience with Raleigh Radiology on Blue Ridge Road was excellent. Ryan was very pleasant and fast at check-in. Takita greeted me with a smile and cheerful greeting during registration. Sarah was very thorough and took the time to explain the process. Kelly was professional and joyous. The facility was spotless and they were very conscientious about distancing. Everyone worked together seamlessly. I was in early and out quickly.
My 9 year old son had to get a MRI he was so nervous they made him feel so comfortable 😁
The place is nice and clean, easy to find. The reason for such a low rating is the young woman at the front desk just acts bothered when you ask her a question. You speak to her and shell look annoyed when requesting information.
Great experience! Pam the radiology tech made it a great first experience. She was detailed in explaining the procedure and made an anxious filled first timer feel comfortable.
Woooo Jenn, Sara, and Dr Shekleton(Dr Pepper) did a great job today. They were so quick and made me feel right at home. They were so friendly, I forgot why I was there. I appreciate the Avengers. Good job.
Had a billing error but it was resolved immediately. Pleasant staff at this location.
The women are very polite and patient.
I am very pleased to recommend this practice for any radiological testing needs you may have. The staff were professional, courteous, and efficient providing the services my primary physician had ordered.
EVERYTHING was wonderful!! My doctors office told me I needed to pick up the contrast to drink for my CT the day before my procedure. So I showed up Thursday morning to pick up the contrast for my CT scan on Friday. Everyone one was super helpful and kind. I was told that I would not need to drink the contrast as they administer the contrast via IV. I asked if they had an earlier appointment on Friday so that I could have the procedure done in the morning. They checked and asked if I wanted to stay and do the procedure Thursday at 11. I said yes but someone had already taken the appointment. They apologized and said they could work me in if I wanted to wait around. I said I would wait for a little while and within 10 minutes I was called back. Again the technician was very kind and thorough and quick. I was in and out in 15 minutes or less from the time I was taken back. Everyone was so very friendly, much better experience than at Wake Radiology!! Facility was extremely clean and well kept as well!!
Absolutely disgusted at the greed of this place. They never sent me any notifications that I had a balance and have now set a derogatory mark on my credit for...$20!!!! I am in shock that a company would ruin someone’s credit over $20. I will NEVER return to Raleigh Radiology Associates. Absolute incompetence and greed.
So you arrive at the location people are walking in the building without mask on. Then they are going into offices to have test done without mask on. The lobby is filled with people people are sitting in chairs that are not 6 feet apart nor are they wiping down chairs as people are getting up. . Asked them when do they wipe down stuff the answer I received was periodically. That’s not enough for me. You don’t know any history of the person who sat in that chair before you. But I watch the staff wipe down everything they touching. This is not the way to get this pandemic under control this is a way to keep the spread going. Please I pray somebody reads this and does something about it. This is very bad!!!!!!!
On July 6, 2020 I went for two appointments here at Raleigh Radiology and the staff was impeccable. I am so glad to see the wonderful changes they have made due to their setback on last year. Things are improving hopefully by leaps and bounds and thats all that matters. The staff that assisted me were very kind and friendly during both appointments and this makes the difference. I will recommend this business anyday! 😃😃
You would expect medical staff to be sympathetic with patients, after all, whoever needs and MRI is probably in a lot of pain and/or really ansious due to what they are going thru. I wanted to accompany a relative during the MRI exam at this place, since this person never had one before and was a little concern about being enclosed and being in pain while it was taking place, but a lady technician doing the imaging didnt allow it and was kind of rough when dealing with my relative. I know we are living thru a pandemic but I had an MRI two weeks ago on another location and my husband was allowed to come sit close to me in the room (done this a few times) which made a big difference and helped me get the MRI done...I am extremely claustrophobic. My technician seemed to care and tried everything to calm me, allowed me a few minutes to get comfortable, I was able to take my mask off and take deep breaths to calm my nerves and for that I was so grateful! Being thoughtful is free. If you are nervous about getting an MRI done, this may not be a good place for you. Just sharing our experience.
They will repeatedly remind you of your appointment but when you get there 15 minutes early and still end up waiting for 45 minutes there is something wrong with their lack of respect for the client. And this was for an 8:45am appointment! How can they be that far behind that early in the morning? I never was seen for my CT scan - I walked out.
The Team at Raleigh Radiology is top notch! The service, attention to detail and knowledge is unsurpassed. Big thank you to Drs. Satish Mathan & Jeff Browne. Raleigh Radiology puts the care into Healthcare!
Epic experience!! I was scheduled for an MRI at 10:00 and when I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly staff member and was checked in promptly. She verified my procedure and asked me if I had any questions. The sincerity yet professional demeanor was refreshing compared to other places. It was pretty cool that EVERY staff member I came across was equally as friendly. If i need to have another procedure I will make sure my doctor sends me to Raleigh Radiology at the Blue Ridge location!
Great experience! Everything went smoothly and professionally. The technician I had for my mammogram was terrific! She was so personable and caring.
The staff, technicians and doctors are so compassionate and kind hearted, and they are THOROUGH in their exams! I appreciate the service I received today from Kim, Sandy and Dr. Tabor! A very special thanks to Ashley for making me feel like a VIP client from beginning to end! Ashley really went above and beyond to take care of me. Shes one of RRs biggest blessings!!!
Thank you to all at Raleigh Radiology Blue Ridge office for your professional and caring attitude. The updated decor is great and flow into testing area was perfect. All technologists were kind and knowledgeable. Everyone at Blue Ridge was so nice and understanding...thanks for your kindness today.
Made me feel very comfortable and safe while getting an MRI.
The facility has a very spacious waiting area with free coffee. All of the staff were very attentive, polite and appeared to like what they were doing. I would recommend this facility to all.
Friendly smiling faces as you enter...little/no wait.....set your mind at ease in a very personal caring way for the process as a patient - very knowledgable - It took less time than I thought - My doctor said this was a most thorough report - which helped my care for further steps! Changed my course for the better!! Very appreciative from beginning to end.
My experience is probably different than most other reviewers. I met Dr. Karah Lanier the night my father had a stroke, she was on call for Wake Med as the interventionalist. I have met hundred of doctors since my fathers stroke, and she has been there for me and my family ever since. I know doctors and staff are busy, she has made time to take my calls though. Strokes are unique to everyone and very complex, Dr Lanier explained my fathers stroke and what he needs clearer than any other doctor and has helped me answer several questions since. I dont wish a stroke on my worst enemy, this has been really awful and my dad is still relearning to talk, its terrifying when your loved one cannot tell you what they need. She has really helped guide me to being an advocate for my Dad. She is not only smart as a whip, but she is extremely caring. I dont know what my family did to deserve her help, but we would be lost without her and Im not exaggerating. Thank you Dr. Lanier.
I enjoyed the new setup. Plenty of space with a nice flow. No pictures due to pt. Privacy.
I also received the same letters from the FDA and Raleigh Radiology about their failed inspection. I had to drive 40 minutes to Cary for a redo, and then the wait was one hour. At least the tech was good and careful. Obviously, this is terrible for all of us. They dont have a lot of competition in Raleigh. Id go elsewhere if I could.
We received a letter from Raleigh Radiology that was mandated by the FDA because the Blue Ridge facilitys mammography has failed to meet clinical image quality standards during a 2-year audit period from 11/7/2017 til 11/6/2019. They are currently (as of 1/2/20) not allowed to perform mammograms at that facility until they implement a corrective action plan. They sent out a letter ahead of the FDA-mandated letter to try to soften the blow to their reputation. We are now looking at repeat mammograms and Im not thrilled at the idea that we have had 2 years worth of substandard mammograms so something could have been missed.
Missed diagnosis required me to have a kidney transplant and removal of ovarian veins they damaged. They refused to accept ANY responsibility even after 7 other doctors diagnosed after using their images. When asked to accept responsibility the removed me as a patient from their practice. 3 years and an abdominal transplant to repair the damage later they still refuse to accept any responsibility. I am happy to share my story with anyone including the media so feel free to contact me for details and doctor who did this is still practicing there.
DO NOT COME HERE - unless you enjoy paying full price. Theres not a single solitary person here who handles the billing correctly. They couldnt be bothered to ask for my sons insurance card, and I assumed it was because they received the info from his referring physician. Surprise, surprise, that didnt happen and so they billed me. I used their ridiculously bad website, logged in and gave them all his insurance info. Made sure I printed proof of the confirmation page. What did these people do? Sent it to collections with ZERO notice. I cant figure out of their intentions are fraudulent, lazy, or both. Never again.
All that I can say about the treatment I received at Raleigh Radiology Blue Ridge is they were AWESOME. I was so surprised to see some negative reviews because my experience could not have been any better.Ken Ramsauer, PA and Pam Mitchell, Tech were both so kind, understanding and gentle that it certainly made my treatment much more comfortable than I thought was possible.I do not rate services at 5 stars easily, but anything short of 5 stars (or even more if it possible) would not be a true representation of my experience.Very Satisfied Customer!Cregg
I’ve always found Raleigh Radiology to be friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Appointments are made promptly, with less waiting than hospital facilities.
Raleigh Radiology has helped me through a difficult time with a lower back problem that I have been dealing with for some time. Having moved here from NY a couple of years ago, without any local physicians, the Radiologists and office staff at The Blue Ridge facility have helped direct me, quickly and efficiently, with kind and courteous service. They got me in and out of my appointments, in a clean and friendly environment, and went above and beyond to ensure all my reports and films were in order for my next steps to recovery. Thank you Raleigh Radiology, Blue Ridge.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I was checked in quickly and had a comfortable experience for my procedure. Highly recommend Raleigh Radiology.
My doctor sent me in with a referral for a mammogram. The price was supposed to be $99 for the month of February as stated on my referral. Upon arrival, They refused the referral price. Tried to charge $180 then said $150. Extremely poor service. I would not recommend anyone to use this facility.
The staff is here is cold and unwelcoming. As soon as I arrived, I could tell that and I only interacted with ONE person (out of six), who didn’t make it seem like they didn’t want me there. I don’t want to be here, either. They do nothing it out you at ease about a procedure that is potentially scary or anxiety inducing for you. I was forced to sign a paper that says someone explained something to me before I even saw that person (and they never did explain it to me, luckily I had gotten the test before elsewhere, so I knew what I needed to, but someone who hasn’t...welp, they just say screw you). The woman in billing was so rude and had an attitude as soon as she called my name. I have no idea why she was mad, honestly, I hadn’t said it even seen her yet!!! I just will never come back here. It makes no sense how each person treated me and for no reason. I barely spoke to anyone, aside from giving my information and answering their questions. They were too cold and unfriendly for me to even want to ask my own. And this was everyone, receptionist, women at billing, technician...I would never have my Dr. send me here again.
I will do my best to not have Raleigh Radiology preform any services for me. I had a bad experience with one of their providers. He needs to go to classes on how to appropriately interact with patients.
People were nice enough. But this facility is a perfect example related to why we are all over paying for healthcare. Dr ordered MRI with contrast, if needed. I specifically asked about this when making my appointment and they explained the radiologist would determine whether it was needed at appointment. After arriving, I was told this again and told that they do not want to expose me to the machine any longer than necessary or inject me with dyes unnecessarily. Three quarters through the MRI, they tell me they will be doing contrast because they don’t have the doctor’s X-ray to compare, or know for certain if it is needed. So much for worry about more exposure to machine and dye injection! When I pointed out the waste of time and cost to consumer and insurance company, I was told I could come back at a later date after they got X-ray, if preferred. (No concern for my time.) The excuse given later was I made my appointment on a Friday and over the weekend the doctor never sent it. I made my appointment on a Monday and had the MRI, one week later. On my way out I was asked to sign a release for the xray - from the doctor who made the order! An established practice should know the order of things. — If competency and efficiency doesn’t improve across the board the the medical field, we are all going to keep paying!
Raleigh Radiology in Cary have wonderful customer service and caring team that are very professional.
I had an MRI at 7am and the staff was so friendly and helpful.
The imaging staff I came in contact with (3 separate people) were all so kind. This was my first experience with anything like this and I was extremely nervous (basically having a panic attack) the entire time, but all of the people I came in contact with were very patient and kind and kept me as calm as they possibly could. I highly recommend this place.
The staff is very pleasant, it is clean and the tech I had was very hyped!!
The technicians as well as the office staff were nice and efficient. However, the billing department submitted the claim under the wrong ID, which triggered a denial by the insurance company and I received a bill from Raleigh Radiology, stating my claim was denied. I called the billing department and was left on hold for a full 45 mins without anyone ever answering so I gave up and sent an email via the website, which was never answered. I also sent a copy of the bill to Blue Cross, who followed up and corrected the situation. This is an unacceptable way of running an office and caused significant time and effort to correct without any assistance or response at all from Raleigh Radiology. I will not return there.UPDATE 1/8/2020: Received a letter from Raleigh Radiology that their mammography operation was shut down, because it had not passed inspection.
DO NOT COME HERE - unless you enjoy the stress of horrible and questionably legal billing practices. They screw up billing, dont return calls, threaten collections (when the issue is THEIR FAULT). I paid them in full as of December 2018. I have the records to prove it.THEN more than eight months later, with NO notice, they decide to bill me an extra $140 for the services. Theres NO explanation of why they did this. Now the full charge is more than they agreed (in writing) that I should pay at the time of service and more than shown on the EOB from my insurance company. Whats MORE AMAZING is that the important messages threatens collections.I received this bill on a Saturday and tried to call on Monday morning. BUT SURPRISE, SURPRISE, their system is down and they cant see my information. They asked me to call back in the afternoon. I called back in the afternoon and GUESS WHAT?? They want me to call back the next day.I bill by the hour and the time Ive spent trying to sort this out is MORE than the amount of the bill. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM.
The staff is nice, the billing department is horrible. Ill be looking for different radiology service providers
Nice office, nice people, very good customer service.
MRI @ Cary office. Went fast, as described, professional, in and out in 30 minutes
I’m thinking of calling my attorney on this place as I’m sure HIPPA is being violated right off the bat at reception. They truly run you through there like a factory and the imaging services are sun standard. Horrible conditions in a filthy facility. You will have NO privacy. As soon as you check in the 30+ people in the waiting room know exactly why you’re there, your insurance status, and if your address is local. Avoid!
First I want to thank Dr. Laura Thomas Erin and Sara for being so kind and extremely helpful to me through my procedure that I had and their professionalism was nothing less than outstanding I would recommend this office to everyone that I know for medical help this is a five-star operation forget it a SIX STAR operation Thank you once again for everything you did for me respectfully yoursLucille Pavone
I was getting my first MRI and was nervous. The feedback on here had me scared. However much to my surprise everyone was nice, with smiles from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Front desk personnel, finance personnel and technicians.
Quick, efficient, friendly, and comfortable service. No issues at all.
This place changed my whole life to a miserable, painful, and hopeless person from a person who used to be cheerful, hopeful, and happy. I now live with chronic pains that I have to deal with for the rest of my life. I am so angry with this place that I don’t even want to go near to it. This doctor damaged my nerve and made me permanently disable. I will continue my story whenever my symptoms and pain are less. I will name the doctor and will tell you exactly what happened to me. I traced this doctor but he is not in this place anymore but I know where he is.
I had an ultrasound that requires not using the restroom until the test is complete. I had to wait more than a half an hour for them to bring me to the room. Then they needed two techs to finish the tests. Needless to say I was in a lot of discomfort. Ive never had a place make me wait like this before- people are usually sympathetic about it. Wouldnt recommend. Find someplace else that takes their patients on time.
I called Raleigh radiology this morning and they were able to get me in today. Everyone I interacted with today was amazingly warm and friendly. The dr made a special point to talk to me and assure me everything was ok. Will definitely use them again!!
Very nice team, helpful, calming and professional.
Complete disregard to people time. Total time waster. At first appointment, after waiting for 45 min, I was told that they cant do the scan, because a specialist must be present. I called and scheduled a second appointment and made it clear to the receptionist that a specialist must be present, and I requested the name of the specialist who was going to do the scan. She made the appointment and gave the specialist name. At the second appointment, they told me the same thing, the specialist was not there. They wasted 4 hours of my work time. Taking my business elsewhere.
They saw to it that I was comfortable as I could be. Im on oxygen. And I have sleep apnea. I was so relaxed I fell asleep several times. They had to wake me up twice b/c my oxygen level dropped to 86 twice. My point is they watch me carefully and kept me safe. THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS
This is my 4th times there and have been waited for almost 1 hour and 50 mins to get my ultrasound done. I didnt like this place since I went there for the second time, but this is the only place that close to my house. I told them I have to leave in 30 mins after I waited for 1 hour already. They said it will take only 5-10 mins to get the ultrasound done. But it takes 20 mins. I was late to picked up my daughter from preschool.
Very kind and efficient staff throughout . . .
Sara did a great job. Very professional and explained everything as she went.
Rude staff, MRI tech insisted on pushing me down completely ignoring my bad back and the fact I was trying to slowly lay down. Finally had to tell her to stop touching me so I could lay back. Then, she played the most god awful music in the headphones while I tried my best to lay still despite muscle spasms. Nobody wants to listen to hozier while trying lay still in a confined space!
They said they were offering free mammograms if you did not have insurance. Wife called and scheduled an appointment. Drove an hour to the appointment and was told that it would be $150. SCAM!!!!!!!
All pro no cons. great experience!!!!
Pretty miffed today when I showed up for a repeat of routine mammogram due to blurry images. Showed up 10 minutes before appt. Waited in line for 10 minutes, checked in, waited 10 more minutes to go re-sign paperwork, back to waiting room 10 minutes, called into next waiting area for 10 minutes, we are up to 40 minutes for a repeat mammogram. An hour after I arrive, I leave. To schedule my first appt after referral was sent, I received no less than 10 phone calls (2 to 3 a day) and one confusing/misleading email, to get the appt scheduled. 5 phone calls/voicemails and one letter to schedule appt 2. Why dont you take your robocaller and have her check in folks at the front desk?
YOU WILL WAIT FOREVER. Arrived at 8:12 a.m. for an 8:30 appt. Waited. Got called into billing at 8:48 to verify my insurance. Then was sent back to waiting room. Called into another waiting room closer to exam room at 8:56. More waiting. WAS NOT SEEN UNTIL 9:06. Ugh.
Great staff! Very helpful. Very professional.
I am a breast cancer survivor. I went in for a 3D mammogram, which the mammogram tech, I felt did a great job. My oncologist had ordered a mammogram and ultrasound on both breast. I was sent back to the waiting room, and when I was called back for my ultrasound, the ultrasound tech informed me that she would only be doing the ultrasound on the right breast, her reason was because thats the breast they saw something. I have had many mammograms and ultrasounds since my breast cancer, which was in my left breast, and ALWAYS had ultrasounds in depth on both breast ! I also need to mention that the reason for this particular order was because of findings of possible lymphoma under both arm pits, with the largest being under the left arm. I left very uncomfortable with the ultrasound and the arrogance of this tech. I want to add I have never had to give a bad review of any other Radiology clinic in the last 9 years ! I called this facility this morning after giving this a lot of thought, and was told the office manager was in a meeting, but would return my call later this afternoon. It is 5:50pm, no return call !! One more thing, I had these tests done on Monday, and still at 9am my oncologist hadnt received my report !
If you like to have redo ex rays and waiting for many hours this is the united for X rays..
This place is excellent! I will return! My only request is please do not list the Cedarhurst location as a branch of Raleigh Radiology. I have heard that Cedarhurst is in reality owned by a different company, and it shows. I visited Cedarhurst thinking that I would get the same quality of service, and it was truly not even in the same ballpark as Raleigh Radiology Blue Ridge. My recommendation is that Cedarhurst should be dropped or genuinely managed by Raleigh Radiology.
This has to be one of the most poorly ran offices I have ever been to. I came in to make a appointment with the doctor’s order in hand. Waited 20 mins just to make the appointment. Note: even with a line behind me, the receptionist laughed and joked with someone that worked that there while we all waited. I came in later that same week for my appointment to only find out they was no record of the appointment. Supposedly, the appointment wasn’t “saved” in the system. Had to repeat all the information over again and again. So because I pushed to be seen that day, I got all kinds of attitude from the receptionist & the specialist that took me back to sign the disclosures when it was clearly an error on behalf of office. It surprises me that this office can even function at all.
I always come to this location, I have no complaints I have been coming here for years. Staff is pleasant and respectful, services has always been great .
Great people and service!!
Staff is professional and discreet. Customer service is outstanding!!!
Been waiting well over an hour still have not been by triage for an xray. Wont ever come to this office again.
They’ve been on the news! Yikes.
Excellent service. Very caring staff.
I wanted to check my bill (I only had my insurance bill, not one from Raleigh Radiology) so I called to inquire. The answerbot system took me into a loop that threw me out - twice. Finally, I reached the option for an operator for them, chose that option, and she couldnt understand how I got her number. I still dont know how to reach them to pay my bill.
Decent facility for medical imaging needs. Scheduling can be tough sometimes, though.
This is a terrible place to receive care. The screening mammogram I got was rushed and incomplete. The radiologist required more pictures. When I returned to complete the poorly performed screening mammogram, I was ignored for over half an hour in the main lobby, then another 15+ minutes in the back waiting room. After all that, they billed my insurance company, not for what they did (completing the screening mammogram) but for a diagnostic mammogram, which is not a covered service. I had to pay the exorbitant fee out of pocket, because I hadnt met my deductible. I called to set up a monthly payment plan, but none of the bills I received had a payment amount listed. Very sloppy, very inconsiderate. Avoid like the plague.
I wish I could refer them because at one point I really liked them but I have been left on my own to get help with an extremely invasive surgery I should never had needed to fix the mistake made after a missed diagnosis and inappropriate procedure by this practice.
It is embarrassing how awful this place is. The technician said during the ultrasound, I KID YOU NOT, “wow, I’ve never seen that before!” and then didn’t bother elaborating. The doctor then came in to take more pictures and he was so unprepared and unknowledgeable of the situation that it was awkward. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.
GREAT STAFF!
Waited for an hour to repeat mamagram this place sucks and when I set down at registration the arm fell off the chair and I caught it.
One of the worst online payment system and account looks fishy but their service is good.
Effective, efficient, treatment with respect.
I’ve been waiting here for more than an hour already
Currently waiting over 1 hour with other patients as well
One woman went above and beyond to coordinate insurance benefits after I had a provider change between scheduling and my MRI. I was frustrated, and ultimately it wasnt her responsibility to fix (was my doctors), but she took care of it anyway.
GETTING AN MRI
Friendly staff
