I was getting waxed in another state for two years. When I moved here I chose Waxologie after a lot of research. The wax she uses is a different wax that what I was used to before. It is a much better experience. It was noticeably less painful. Also the day after I am used to having red bumps all over my chest for about a week. After the service at Waxologie I had only about two red bumps Also Michelle is very thorough, no stray hairs anywhere.

Oasis truly is a unique waxing experience. I have been getting Brazilians for over a decade, almost exclusively with strip wax. I had one previous hard wax experience a long time ago and I remember it taking a very long time. I wasnt expecting to see much of a difference when I started seeing Michelle almost four months ago. WOW, talk about being pleasantly surprised. The whole process takes between 10-15 minutes, tops, and she is completely thorough. The wax goes on more like cream than drippy wax so it does not feel sticky or too warm, and the extraction is virtually painless. It sounds ridiculous, but I will say from experience that it is by far the least painful wax I have had.I also like Michelles business policies and options for buying services in bulk or becoming a member. I opted to try the latter, and so far, I am very glad I did. A set amount that we agreed upon comes out of my account every month, and I signed a lengthy contract with details of cancellation policies, etc. I am able to add the tip as well, and I appreciate the fact that having the deduction every four weeks forces me to get waxed regularly. I used to go every 5, 6 sometimes 8 weeks because Id get busy, but I am seeing a huge difference in my skin and hair growth by going every four weeks. I have almost no ingrown hairs and the hair isnt crazy itchy when it comes back, also probably in part to my using a loofah regularly (on her suggestion).Michelle is knowledgeable, quick, and so far, Ive had no problems with having to cancel or reschedule appointments. Very glad I gave Oasis a try, and shes just down the road from Crabtree Mall.

I have gone to Michelle many times for a few different waxing services. I have always found her to be nothing but professional and courteous. The wax she uses (hard wax) doesnt hurt near as much as the typical type that sticks to your skin. Her space is always neat and clean, and she has always been able to work with my hectic schedule. I found her a few years ago and I plan to continue seeing her for all my waxing needs in the future. Id highly recommend a visit if youre thinking about it.

Today was my second time with Christine at Waxologie and, again, it was the best experience Ive ever had with waxing. Again, there was very little to no tweezing and she was quick. Strangely, and I mentioned this to Christine over the phone yesterday, the texture of my hair already began to soften and take longer to grow back after my first wax which was 30 days ago, that also included a full brazilian. In my experience, it takes 2 to 3 waxes for those effects to occur. Im impressed that its taken effect so soon. Clearly the salon uses a highly quality of hard wax. As a Black woman it is a challenge to find an Esthetician that can handle my needs and FINALLY I found one👍😎. I will continue to use their services and already told Christine that I will see her at the beginning of December to get another full brazilian :-).

Michelle Shoemaker, Oasis Beauty Boutique, saved my credit card information on file and charged my account without my authorization.As a former wax spa employee, I understand the importance of canceling appointments ahead of time, so as not to waste the waxers booking time. I was aware of Michelles cancellation policy, and needed to cancel my pre-booked appointment. I tried several times to cancel my pre-booked appointment via the online reservation system, so I would not have to pay a fee for missing my appointment. However, the site was not functioning properly, and I repeatedly received an error message. I had even canceled an appointment through the site before with no issues. I would have called, but was out of the country on vacation.A few days later, I checked my bank statement to discover a $25 dollar charge from Oasis Beauty Boutique. Michelle saved my credit card information that I used to leave a tip on my first visit. I absolutely did not consent to leave that credit card information on file, signed no paperwork authorizing the use of that card, and was not even notified of the charge. I immediately called Michelle and left a polite message explaining that I tried to cancel and the site was not working. Michelle did not return my call. Instead, she responded with a rude, unprofessional email, and refused to refund the charge - even after I explained that the site was not functioning properly.I would absolutely not recommend Michelle Shoemakers business. If you do visit, use cash.
