Great gym with a great variety of equipment for however you want to train. There are not traditional cardio machines, which I appreciate

James the owner is great. I was invited by a friend as we want to try and compete in some strongman comps this year. In addition to James being very helpful, other members are very knowledgeable and were happy to share info and help out. I will definitely be back.

This is a great gym! The owner is very friendly and the members are really friendly too! I went in this weekend to get some advice as I start training to compete in some competitions. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Lots of equipment available as well.

I came down to Raleigh for a trip with my girlfriend and was looking for a powerlifting gym to train in. I spoke with James on the phone and he was very friendly and accommodating. The gym had everything we needed and more, was well kept, and respected covid protocols. I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Raleigh area, either residing or traveling!

Great gym for all strength athletes

James is a great owner and understands what people need in a strength gym. He’s especially good about updating equipment and platforms. This is a great place for anyone who’s into powerlifting, strongman, and weightlifting. There’s also plenty of other knowledgeable members at the gym who are super friendly. Hope to be back at Spider again very soon!

Visited here once and had a great time. The people are very welcoming and it’s well-equipped for powerlifting and strongman. Also saw some folks Olympic lifting. I’ll be excited to come back!

Strongman meets power lifting meets Olympic lifting. Lots of unique measures and cool garage gym feel.

Love this place, they have EVERY piece of equipment for powerlifting and strongman that you will ever need. It’s a bit tiny which can cause issues when it’s crowded but that’s literally the only problem this place has. The owner is super nice and you can tell the money is being put back into the place to make it the best it can be!

Best strength gym in the area.

GOAT strength gym. Some of the most experienced and friendly people around. Has just about everything you could need for powerlifting, weightlifting, or strongman.

This is a well-equipped facility with great owners and coaches. If you are interested in strength sports (powerlifting, strongman, or weightlifting) or just improving athletic performance for other sports then I highly recommend Spider Strength. Their staff includes elite lifters and national champions / professional level athletes, and they are good people as well. Five stars.

I was visiting from out of town and this gym served everything I needed. Owner was extremely friendly and met me to give me a tour of the place and issue me a 24 key card.A couple things to note if youre considering coming here, the gym is small. There is plenty of room to get your major lifts in with a platform for olympic lifting but expect little to no breathing room at peak hours. Its typical when people discover a good thing they flock to it. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on going after or before work. You may have to schedule around these times if youre impatient like me.

Owner is great and generous. Ive lost my fob multiple times but he is always understanding of my forgetfulness :)

I train here every day and I hope I never train anywhere else. The community here is like nowhere else Ive been, all of the equipment is treated and maintained well, and the owner is one of the most helpful and genuine people Ive ever met. If youre looking for a place to train in the Raleigh area, this is the place hands down.

Place had a great feel, plenty of space and equipment, and james was very helpful and timely with securing a drop-in pass
