I’ve been to this place several times and have really enjoyed my experience. I am a very novice rock climber and usually go with my kids to have fun and get exercise for a few hours. All of the equipment appears to be in great shape and there’s lots of variety of terrain to climb. The only improvement I could think of is more auto belays because if you don’t have someone experienced helping, you have limited runs in the roped area.
So easy to book and what a fun time! The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. We went with 3 people mid Saturday and climbed for the entire hour and a half we booked for. They also have a gym at this locations as well as a gift shop! If you’re looking for something fun and physically taxing to do on a weekend this is a fantastic option. It only ran about $15 a person and no need to be certified just to climb!
First time visiting and it was so much fun! We came with our kids, 6 and 10, who also enjoyed themselves. Looking forward to coming back and climbing again soon!
Haley was very patient and helpful getting me oriented to the membership benefits, instruction, and rules. Very professional in helping me to select some much needed gear. On top of all that she was encouraging to my 10 yr old son. Along with the great facilities and interactions with both Morrisville and Raleigh employees I think it is my familys new home for fun and fitness!
Climbing is great which is what we expected. What I didn’t expect is how much we’ve enjoyed the fitness classes. We’ve done slow flow yoga, foundational yoga, and SC45 so far. All of the facilities and instructors have been phenomenal, I’m really impressed.
I started Bryans weight lifting class a couple of months ago. Wasnt too sure what to expect being a woman almost 50! Well, coach Bryan is absolutely awesome! I am addicted to this class! The time he takes to explain everything, watch form, correct and motivate really pushes you. Bryans personality and knowledge of fitness keeps me coming back. Please dont change the schedule! I get off work and head straight to class.
Great facility. I spent time climbing at both the Raleigh and Morrisville locations. Both feature a great variety of climbs. I would definitely recommend.
I was highly impressed with the service I received at this facility. As a combat disabled veteran/retired US Army, I attended an event through the Wounded Warrior Program Health and Wellness Expo April 8-10. This facility was very accommodating and made us feel welcomed and important. I would recommend this place for parties, groups, or individuals. Thanks for you professionalism and friendly nature.
My kids love coming to TRC! We have been to both locations and have great experiences at both. The staff is friendly and super helpful and the price is very affordable! It’s becoming a weekend thing for us!
Great place for families with kids. Not so great place for young professionals in a new city seeking to indulge in fun weekend activities.
I loved Triangle Rock Club! When my friend suggested rock climbing I expected the one wall of options with an attendant belaying you and I loved that this had so many walls and different ways to climb! The staff was great and very nice/helpful! I definitely wanna go again!
Torey was very attentive to our first time climbers, ages 4, 5, & 8 YO! [&] was wonderful at scaffolding abilities.
I drove by the club for a few years and always wanted to stop in and see what it was all about. Im 42 years and never done anything like this before. I had a great experience at the club. The instructor, unfortunately I forgot his name, was awesome. His instructions were thorough and informative. Im strongly considering becoming a member. The facility not only offers rock climbing but a gym as well, which is a bonus. A+ experience...
Such a fun place! Great staff, very well run, very clean, great focus on safety, appreciate the air purifiers too!
I am specifically reviewing the Weightlifting Class that Bryan H. trains at TRC. Not only does this class provide an amazing workout, it is fun and challenging all at the same time. Bryan is an amazing trainer, he has helped me improve my form and encouraged me to safely progress in reps and weight throughout my 2 month journey at TRC. I look forward to attending this class and cannot wait to see what more I can accomplish. :)
So so much fun. Staff was attentive and very knowledgeable, environment was clean, and there were plenty of places to climb! The music could have been a bit louder though ;-)
Everyone who works at all of the locations are very nice and helpful. The walls are regularly changed and it adds excitement for my next trip. Always lots of fun!
Always a fun experience here with great staff of people helping new climbers learn!
Went with my Y Guides group, so a group of young boys, and felt like there wasn’t much there for us and that we were just “in the way”. Could use more auto-belays on the easy walls. Even easier walls would be nice for beginners. There were also no staff available to help belay children who wanted to try a wall that wasn’t an auto-belay. Basically it felt like, if you’re not a regular you are welcome to come use our 8 auto belays but please don’t bug the regulars.
Super friendly and helpful staff, very newbie friendly and definitely has plenty of challenging climbs, constantly changing routes (but not too quickly), a plethora of classes and events, great hours, and great membership benefits. As a new climber I find this place to be overall perfect for starting out in the sport.
I enjoy climbing here every time I come. My only wishes are that there were at least one or two more autobelay stations and more intermediate routes on these autobelays. As someone who almost always ends up climbing alone, it is a little bit limiting. That being said, I love the cleanliness of the gym, the bouldering options, and so much more. Thank you.
It was a great experience, and the instructors were very qualified, wish there would have been more support on belaying without asking.
Staff is great. Very knowledgeable. And the facility is first class!
Ive been in different fitness clubs, but hands down this is the best fitness club Ive been to, here is why...Most fitness clubs push you to become a member, but in TRC Raleigh, I was eager to become a member of this wonderful club. Initially I went to try it out, and Ive been going nearly every day since last year. I was greated by a wonderful soul, named Will. He was so passionate about rock climbing, it was contagious. He, Paul, and the team helped me learn the art of rock climbing in a safe and organized manner. PS: ask for David if you ever face difficulty or if you just want to chat with a beautiful soul.
This was my first time visiting and they really took the time to get me acclimated and set up. I was super impressed with how they approached everything and the relaxed overall feel of the gym.
We had a great time here! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kids had a blast climbing. There are many different routes for all types of skill levels. The small wall was perfect for the little kids. Even the large wall routes were suitable for various skill levels. This is a great place to go on a rainy day. This was our first time and we will be back for sure. A great place to get a good workout! Even if you are not interested in climbing you can still participate by cheering on your kids. Climbing is a great way to build self confidence!
After signing back up from pandemic - the leaky roofs in the Yoga rooms in both Morrisville and North Raleigh are pretty surprising to me. I noticed them February of 2020, and theyre still there, in North Raleigh, its gotten much worse. Im not sure why they havent fixed this issue - pretty sure there are videos on youtube about how to fix a leaky roof. Otherwise, people are friendly, and for the most part, staff does respond to comments and requests.
Solid rock gym. I normally go to Morrisville and thought Id give Raleigh a try. Definitely different but in a good way. Workout area is huge, diverse bouldering and a select grouping of high ropes. The staff is awesome and kind. I will be back.
Had a fun time climbing here. The orientation video they gave was clear and the staff were friendly. They offer a discount for first comers and for birthdays if youre a member.
I think the staff should be more engaged. Not sure if they have any climbing experience, but the kids were on their phones and not engaged with customers.
Went for my daughters birthday party. They staff made sure that we enjoyed every sec. Thank you so much!
Clean, good ventilation and nice routes. The team at the front desk very polite.
Busy but plenty of routes free even on a Saturday morning! Clean space, appreciate the A/C (it was high 80s outside), and flet good to get back in and challenge myself!
Im a longtime member and I love TRC. I enjoy the climbing because the route setters change sections frequently and always keep it interesting. The staff are friendly, helpful, responsive, and always focused on climber safety. Yoga and other fitness classes help condition my balance, flexibility and strength for my climbing. The instructors are overall superb. I also really like the community (special needs kids climb!) and vendor (great shoes, steep discount!) partnerships TRC has run. TRC is the best gym Ive ever joined.
If you’re looking for a great workout and friendly environment, YOU ARE SEARCHING IN THE RIGHT PLACE FRIENDS!!I’ve been going dedicatedly to TRC Raleigh for the past 3 months, never have I been able to stick with a gym membership this way. What attracted me at first is the curiosity about the art of rock climbing (strategy/physical challenge enthusiasts I see you!). Once I visited TRC Raleigh, the positive, motivating and welcoming vibes from the wonderful staff kept me coming and advancing in this awesome sport. Will and staff made sure we were practicing everything in a fun and safe manner by sharing advice and expertise in climbing and other workouts. Ask for Paul! A truly amazing and natural soul, always making sure the TRC family is comfortable and having a beneficial mind/body training!
TRC is everything it needs to be. Its a great gym for working out and even better for climbing. The staff have always been memorably helpful too.
First time experience at TRC was awesome! Staff was super helpful and climbing was super fun with various paths of all difficulties!
Great place to climb, meet people, and have fun
Great place with an even better energy in the gym. Friendly, helpful staff and a good variety of routes to train and test your abilities. Reasonable rates, too.
Nice climbing gym. Great exercise. Also, staff very nice and helpful. My son just loved it. Well be getting a membership!
Best gym in the triangle - hands down. The price you pay for what you get is such a tremendous value, as all of the classes (yoga, strength, mobility, etc) are of the quality you would receive at a boutique gym. They have taken the utmost precaution during COVID as well. They necessitate masks and all the members are respectful enough to wear their masks properly while in the gym. Thank you TRC!
Overall good experience. However I am new and would have liked more beginner walls. I felt like I really only had two to choose from.
Great staff and facility! We had so much fun!
Awesome challenge for my son and me. Auto belays on many climbs. Climbing routes have easy to very difficult numbering system. I had a wonderful time watching the problem solving...
Sweet rock climbing gym w nice tall bouldering walls and really interesting, fun, and tricky routes. Staff was really friendly. Most of the focus is on bouldering but they do have a good number of top rope and lead routes, the routes just arent very tall.
Im 51, I had a tree fall on my head 5yrs ago. One of the things that happened was that the tree crushed an artery and left me with a weak left side. I thiugh I could never do something like climbing. I feel alive again. Also, my youngest suffered from depression, anxiety and PTSD because if my accident. Got her climbing and the change has been amazing. TRC rocks!!!
Every time I walk into Trc it’s like being a little kid again. The outside world melts away and I’m surrounded by a kind knowledgeable staff that is quick to answer any questions, and even kind climbers who always cheer for each other. I couldn’t ask for a better community for health fitness and adventure. Plus it’s a great place to meet new friends! Last but not least they have a wide arrangement of routes for beginners like me all the way to the expert climbers which set up a showcase for everyone to see and learn!
Awesome gym. Went once and I will be going back soon for sure. Thanks trc
Staff have been great through the transition. The new scheduling is smooth and the precautions theyve implemented are great, but there are still climbers that wear their mask improperly and do not show respect to the rules that have been set by TRC. I would encourage the staff to better enforce the safety measures they put in place. Otherwise, Im grateful to the staff and climbing community for their efforts and respect for one another. Its great to be back on the walls!
My 9 year old daughter and I had the most wonderful first experience. Staff was kind and knowledgeable. Everyone was welcoming and non-judgemental. Great price. Clean facility. We will definitely be back!
I have always had a great time at TRC. Great climbing, very professional staff. And they are very good on COVID mitigation. I felt very safe there. I love the 50ft walls in Morrisville but also find the Duraleigh location to be a lot of fun.
Great atmosphere and the staff were very knowledgeable.
Me and my friend tried out Triangle Rock Club and it was awesome! The workers are friendly and very helpful.
TRC is great! Theyve put forth a lot of effort to keeping the gym a clean and safe place to work out! Cant say enough great things about the team that keeps it running!
Great place to have fun, get fit and feel good. staff are always wonderful.
Lots of fun for the kids (6 an 10 years old)
Great place, to practice your skills on rock climbing.
Clean, good safety protocols in place. Staff friendly and helpful as always.
My kids LOVE coming here. So glad they have found a way to safely stay open right now!
You Might think this couldnt be fun but the work out that you get an also the value is great, Very Fun
The entire staff, that Ive encountered, is so friendly and welcoming. Theres sanitizer everywhere. A lot of fun. Not easy, but fun for sure.
First time ever doing this. The staff here are friendly and very helpful. We were visiting from out of town and wanted to try something new, glad we chose this spot.
Awesome gym with lots of options for Bouldering and sport routes
Awesome gym! Friendly helpful staff.
It was great experience, my son and me loved it. It was great everyone wearing mask and keep social distances
The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and there were a ton of routes for all levels making it a great group activity
Very good experience at a good place. Staff are friendly and helpful but overloaded with customers. Youd Better find less busy hours.
This is an amazing place and terrific people. I like that the routes are changed and they are always interesting.
Wonderful staff. Lots of climbing spots. And a clean bathroom. I will be returning!
Awesome place to workout and develop your personal goals for fitness. The staff is super friendly which gives you a family oriented view of the organization as a whole. I love the operating hours and fitness classes, which are held as early as 6 am and as late as 8 pm. I would recommend this club to anyone interested in building strength and making new friends that have a common interest of hitting certain fitness goals!
Overall I absolutely love this place. I wish there was one closer to where I live (Danville, VA) but the drive to Raleigh is worth it if I stay for a few hours. The facility is modern and clean, other than chalk dust but what climbing gym doesn’t have that. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The bouldering problems seem challenging for their grades compared to some other climbing gyms, but they are all well laid out. My only complaint is that it seems that every time I go there, there are a lot of children, which are often unsupervised. I don’t mind children climbing, in fact I am happy they are getting into the sport. But it seems that with the week day camps and then with families on the weekend, many kids don’t appear to be climbing and instead can be in the way at times. But all in all I am very happy with the gym and the climbing here.
Very great experience and very helpful team!
Awesome place to workout
Good atmosphere. Nice selection of routes.
My first time climbing here and it was pretty fun. Good variety of walls. My only complaint is there was no sanitizer bottles or stations so I would adding those considering all the hands that touch things. Thanks
A warm, welcoming experience for newcomers combined with excellent route setting. Routes range from 5.5 through 5.13b (a relative rarity only for the absolute best climbers). Bouldering, top roping and lead are all present. I travel a fair bit and this is, by far, my favorite climbing gym.
As a first timer I definitely enjoyed the experience! Great hobby that keeps you active.
Durham gym - please for what its worth - get a couple elipticals and weights. Def needed - please - as someone who used the N Raleigh and Cary facilities its needed
Stuff is very knowledgable and amazing
This was a Mothers Day gift from my son. We had a blast. Its been 17 years since I last climbed. Staff was super helpful. Even another member gave us some pointers. We were able to go at our own pace and try different walls. Lots of fun. I highly recommend.
I always have a great time there, whether its climbing or just using the gym equipment. The employees are always helpful, and always seem to be in a good mood. Thanks for all you do!
Super friendly staff, great climbs in a variety of styles. Big open workout space Im looking forward to trying the classes and the events
Adam did a great job of meeting the challenges of adjusting individual adaptations, keeping all of us motivated and focused to get the best workout!I’m also impressed with what I see at the facility and through interaction with the app. Thanks!
Decided to get into rock and mountain climbing. Came here with my brother and had a great time. Staff was friendly and we took a belay certification test taught by Anna. She did a great job with the four people taking the class. Will certainly be going back and highly recommend! Great workout
Great place for my teenage son, who has started this sport after attending summer camp there. It is a safe environment for him. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
My three children and I had a great time at the Triangle Rock Club in Raleigh. We were there during a scheduled homeschool visit and the staff who worked with us were amazing and patient with the kids. Additional staff members were very attentive and helpful, as well. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend it!
Amazing gym, not even including the rock wall, just the gym part of the Raleigh location. Only complaint is that Morrisville has squat bars & Raleigh doesnt! (Safety bars for squatting & benching safely by yourself.) Get some, Raleigh! 😉
Love the staff and love the gym! Great place
Awesome place! Staff was very helpful and also very friendly. Pretty funny as well. The atmosphere there is very inviting for someone who hasnt been there before (and is a beginner climber). My friend who has been there a couple times already is also a fan. Definitely planning to continue going there.
Really Fun!! Easy enough for beginners to give climbing a shot, but there were definitely some challenging courses for those who have experience. They have a lot of ways to get into the climbing community if youre interested and even have some gear for sale if you want it. The instructions and rules are straight forward and easy and we went on a Saturday morning, it was surprisingly not crowded. The day pass is excellent as you can come and go all day and climb even if you need a break for a while. Highly recommend this place!!
