My daughter & I visited the store on Saturday (08/21/2021.) Austin was very patient & knowledgeable. My daughter ended up buying one of the lift chairs. Austin gave outstanding customer service. I highly recommend this place. Thank you
We had a great experience with Ameriglides contact center and showroom. Roger and Austin were extremely knowledgeable and patient. Austin made the showroom selection process easy and we are more than satisfied with our experience because of him. We will definitely use them for any future needs!
DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS COMPANY!My 98 year old mother purchased a Golden Buzz-A-Round LT scooter from Ameriglide. After use, the batteries needed to be replaced. I called our local Ameriglide merchant and placed the order for the 2 batteries. I received a call from the company the next day because they had recorded the credit card information incorrectly. I gave them the correct information and my card was charged $173.75 the next day. After waiting 4 weeks for the batteries to be delivered, I called the store to check on the order. No one would return my repeated calls. I then went to the store and was told that the order was never processed and that it was finally ordered - 43 DAYS AFTER I WAS CHARGED! (They obviously had gotten my voicemails but never had the courtesy to call me back and let me know about their mistake.) I then told them, due to their oversight, I expected them to re-order the batteries and have them expedited to me at their cost. They told me theyd see what they could do. 4 days later, I received an email copy from the store to Golden Technologies inquiring about the status of the order. 4 days later, having heard NOTHING about the order, I called Ameriglide Corporate and told them to CANCEL the order and refund me the money. They said they would check on the order. Today, 6 days after my communication with corporate headquarters and hearing NOTHING from them, I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and have the money refunded. Well see what happens.Oh, and by the way, if you need batteries go to Batteries Plus - they had the batteries for the scooter, they installed them for me and it was considerably cheaper than Ameriglide!!
Decent products but terrible customer service. It’s hard to hold out hope that things will get better but we will see.
Great salesperson but delivery has been a challenge. For as much as we paid to have the chair delivered 20 miles from their store, expected much better than this!!! Seems as though once the sale was made, truly out of sight, out of mind!! And they keep sending me emails to publicly praise them online via social media. No can do!!!
Tres is the best sales guy in the business. He is very knowledgeable about every item I asked about. He genuinely cares about his customers from initial phone conversation throughout the entirety of the project!
After a few weeks, our stair chair stopped mid point and would not move. The technician who came out said we had bad batteries and he replaced them. He charged $100 for the batteries and said the company would send the $100 to us but they never did. I called time after time and was promised a follow up call back but I never even once was called back. I have been pleased with the product but the customer service is awful. I have spoken with Chris, Ron, Keith, Buford, Alex, Nancy, Hugh, Eddie, and Kyle. I was promised Danielle would call me back but she never did, even after multiple attempts.
Placed the order on June 1, 2020. They shipped it FedEx, I installed it and got it working by TODAY -June 11th. I left one star out because when I got it set and powered up, it had a fatal fault because one of the rail bump sensors was damaged during shipment. Tech support guy named Buddy, zeroed in on it with me real quick, I guess this has happened before. He talked through the repair and the unit has worked great. It is a rugged unit, does everything it is supposed to do, and it will be great for when the mother-in-law moves in with us. I suggest that a piece of the styrofoam could jammed into the carriage bump detector shield to prevent this from happening for other customers who might get stymied and not be able to fix it like I did with Buddy’s help. The salesman -Wayne Meyer did follow up with me tonight to see how the install went, I appreciated that! If I get a chance to review it in a couple month’s time and it is still working well (which I am confident about), I will add the 5th star. The install went well with the install manual, and a video I found.
Stair glide works fine. however follow on support is non existent! multiple calls are never returned for service. they moved fast to get the initial installation and get my money....now they seem to ignore me.
Roger at AmeriGlide was an absolute joy to work with in picking out a chair for my husband. He is very knowledgeable of each of the chairs functions, but he never pushed us to pick any one chair over another. It was one of the best experiences weve ever had purchasing furniture before, no hard sales pitch, which was a huge relief. The chair was delivered in four business days, and the driver went above and beyond to help me get it in the house and put it where it needed to go. Excellent customer service! We highly recommend Roger and AmeriGlide, they are awesome!!!
We needed a lift chair for my dad. We called while in the hospital. They helped find us one and determine whether delivery or pick up was best. Family went and picked up the chair and it was in our house the day we called. Very fast and efficient service. Easy to do business with and helpful.
This company and their stair lift are amazing. We had an immediate need for a stair lift and Roger was able to provide it for pick up the next day. The price was very reasonable also. I self installed it (without having ever seen one in person) in about 5 hours. Thank you for stepping up and helping with my urgent request!!!
We shopped around for a lift chair locally and found the best selection and prices at the Ameriglide store. I didnt count but they must have 50 chairs on their floor. We found exactly what we were looking for at a great price. They delivered it the next day. Great service and prices.
Bought a curved stair lift from Roger Adams and we love it. Took over a month as they it was custom made for our stair case. Their tech, Eddie Williams came out and measured the stair case with a camera/marker system to get every dimension correct and they then produced a CAD for our review and approval. Once we signed off they produced the lift and it was air shipped from the UK to our home. Eddie came out a few days after it arrived and installed the lift. It is just perfect.Roger explained all the options available to us and we elected to use the curved lift solution instead of 2 straight lifts which would have been about half the price. Although mother could presently transfer from one lift to another on the landing we thought it best to spend more as who knows what the future holds. We can highly recommend Roger and Ameriglide for a high quality curved stair lift. By the way, we priced the project with three other local dealers and Ameriglide provided a first class product at almost $3k less than the next low bid. Thanks Roger!
Bought a new Jazzy power chair from them at a great price. No haggling, the discount price is right on the machines. Same as the best price I found on the internet but I have local service and support.Nice store and people.
I purchased a stair lift for my mom on June 18, 2015,she became ill and went for an extended stay in the hospital. I called to inform the company that I would be wanting to sell this lift back to them due the fact that my mom went into the hospital on 6/21/2015 just 3 days after purchase. Chris Johnson told me not a problem, they will gladly buy it back; just talk to Bill whom told me I would get a fair price because of the situation and they treat their customer right. I tried to reach him for weeks, being told he was dealing with family issues. I understood because my mom was very ill and so was I. Long story short I finally reached a representative from AmeriGlide, Craig was his name who said that Bill was no longer with them. He was rude and a thief, he told me that they would give me $300.00 for a lift I just purchased and paid $1399.00 plus $599.00 for an installation that took less than am hour. I would not recommend this company to anyone and will continue to put the word out that these people are not looking out for the best interest of their customer. I understand that they are in business to make money. My mom used the lift 1 time and was never again able to use it. This company is out to take advantage of people who are in need of assistance and tell lies to get your business. $2000.00 what a joke they are.
My mother is coming to visit for a few months and her bedroom will be upstairs. She can still climb the stairs however my wife and i thought it best to look into a stair lift. We were thrilled to find out that Ameriglide in Raleigh rents stairs lifts on a monthly basis so we did not have to buy one. Went to their store on Atlantic Ave. and Roger was very helpful. Two days later we had a stair lift installed and are ready for Mom to arrive.
I recommend AmeriGlide on Atlantic Avenue if you need a lift chair. Darrius Williamson provides excellent customer service, and visited my 94 year old Mothers retirement home three times to install her chair and make sure she was using it correctly. My Mother is extremely happy with her chair and with the customer service.
Surprisingly inexpensive! We wanted a stair chair and thought it would cost much more. We called Acorn and they wanted to charge us $3500. Called Ameriglide of Raleigh and got a Horizon which seems to be at least an equal piece of equipment to the Acorn for $2100 installed.Bought it on last Monday and it was installed on Wednesday. Could not be more pleased.
Bought a travel scooter from them, was having a lot of trouble with getting it to run properly. When I called the Raleigh showroom to see if I could bring it in for them to diagnose the problem, they asked it I had bought a warranty and said they dont do repairs. Guess once they have your money, you are no further use to them as a customer. Finally was able to figure out the problem by tracking down a copy of the manual and figuring out the error codes. They should at least have been willing to have me bring it in and see if they could figure out what the problem was. I will buy only from companies that will at least try to help their customers out.
Ameriglide worked with our unusual situation to provide us with a solution which is effective, affordable, and very satisfying. The installer did and outstanding job. The industry leader in stairlifts was not flexible enough to solve our problem at all.
If you are in need of accessibility equipment this is the place to go. Massive inventory on the showroom floor. Over 40 lift chairs in stock, 50 mobility scooters, power wheelchairs, 6 different models of stair lifts for every budget, walk in bathtubs, and on site stock of the all new ATC Pick-up truck conversions for wheelchair users.Open 7 days a week!
Not bad
It was easy to assemble and disassemble. Also, easy to manage while in motion.
Love it. This lift was purchased for my daughter who refused to believe she really could use it until one day she needed it and was glad that it was purchased for her. Thanks to Tres for all his patience and help. Thanks again Ameriglide.
After dealing with AmeriGlide and their very excellent rep. I felt the need to post my compliments. It is so easy to complain when things go wrong. And that is the case many times. But on the other hand I think its important to note when things have gone exceptionally well. Mr. Dane Siler has been my contact person at AmeriGlide and he has been 110% capable, accurate, timely and efficient in handling every single email I have sent him. His turnaround time has been very fast and he has answered and handled my questions and problems smoothly. It has been a pleasure dealing with Mr Siler and with AmeriGlide. Our lift should be arriving in the next few days and based on my experience so far I am expecting no problems or issues at all. And Im confident if there are any things to be remedied AmeriGlide and Mr Siler will handle it smoothly. What a great company to deal with. Thank you very much.
Needed a vertical wheelchair lift for our son and shopped all the local businesses. Ameriglide had the best price, the installation was first class, and we are very pleased.
I purchased an Ameriglide system four years ago. I purchased direct for an installation in my home in Boise, ID. The system has performed flawlessly for four years. One week ago one stairlift stopped working and I called the LOCAL franchisee for support. He was WORTHLESS!!! (If I didnt install it I wont service it). I then called the Ameriglide support number in my owners guide. Eddie Williams answered right away and based upon the information I gave him he suggested that my batteries had expired and he told me EXACTLY how to access the batteries (use a 4mm ALLEN (hex) wrench and that I could purchase replacement batteries at Batteries+. Purchased the batteries, installed them, and still had a blinking light on the control board. Called Ameriglide again and got Curtis Frey on the phone (Eddie was out of office (which he told me he would be on my first call). Curtis was UNBELIEVABLY helpful!!!!!! He informed me that my model had been discontinued but he would help as much as he could. We worked (via phone) for more than an hour to diagnose what the problem could be (2 possibilities existed), how I could tweak some settings (not for the faint of heart but Curtis was VERY patient) and we actually solved the problem. I have never experienced better (remote) customer service and I cannot strongly enough compliment Ameriglide, Eddie Williams, and Curtis Frey for their true commitment to customer Service!!!
My sister suddenly became old at 72 after a year of three surgeries, cancer, and finally falling down the stairs. She hates the walkers, the lifeline necklace, the constant doctors appointments and everyone telling her what to do and how to live. She hates all of it, EXCEPT the Ameriglide. She loves that! Not only has it given her back the upstairs, including her bedroom and bath, but she finds it comical, especially when her cat runs up the stairs just in front of it.I arranged for its purchase and installation over the phone, and Nick Stelmach, the salesman, was so helpful, explaining the product and my options. My sister praised the installer, and it was easy to master the installation.I cant recommend the product, or the Raleigh company, highly enough.
If you need any type mobility or accessibility equipment go see Darrius at Ameriglide of Raleigh. He is extremely knowledgable and very kind. We have used other dealers in the Raleigh area but there is no comparison in knowledge or service. We have purchased a stair lift, scooter, and vehicle lift so far and all are perfectly matched to my needs by Darrius and his staff.A rave review for a business that supplies superb products and service!
I want to thank Darrius and Eddie for the fast delivery and installation of a stair lift for my parents in Raleigh. We visited with Darrius in the store on Atlantic Ave. and he helped up pick out the best solution for my parents home and Eddie Williams installed it for them the next day.It works perfectly and we now feel safe with Mom and Dad accessing their upstairs bedroom which had been off limits for some time. They love being able to use their upstairs master bedroom instead of the downstair guest room. In addition, Darrius took the time to do a complete review of my parents home and we now understand all the options they have to modify their home so they can age in place.Great prices and excellent service are hard to come by these days. I can highly recommend Ameriglide as a source for home accessibility equipment.
I ordered used stair lifts, and received dirty merchandise with stained chairs and rusted parts. On my complain Mr. Bill Ryan answered that Stair lifts are dirty by nature. Please do not order used stair lifts from AmeriGlide. You can get sick and bacterias can be transmitted from stained (with blood?) chairs.Richard Lupa, California.
Our AmeriGlide is not working. I dont know how to cut and paste. Have left a call.
