I took two Oriental rugs to Caravan Rugs: both were to be cleaned, and one was to be repaired. The one needing repair was probably 100 years old, ripped and patched. It took 5 months to finish the repairs, but Jason stayed in contact with me, making sure I was okay with the work that had to be done on the family heirloom. It was worth the wait; the rug was beautifully restored, and I couldnt be happier! Highly recommend!!!

I contacted Caravan Rugs to clean my large great room rug. I gave them the size of my rug and was given a quote for the cleaning along with a projected time frame of 2 1/2 to 3 weeks to complete the cleaning job. The employees who picked up the rug on Feb. 15 were courteous and helped to move furniture back into place after the rug was removed. After 3 1/2 weeks, I called Caravan and spoke with Jason. He told me that they had not begun cleaning my rug. When I reminded him that I had been told that the rug would be completed by now, the only explanation I was offered was that they were busy. My rug was finally scheduled for delivery on March 17. The employees who delivered the rug were timely, courteous and helpful. After the rug was unrolled, we all noticed that it was covered with a significant amount of dog hair along with some small pieces of straw. We were able to brush our hand on the top of the rug and remove balls of dog hair from the rug. The folks delivering the rug agreed that it had not been thoroughly cleaned, they rolled up the rug and took it back to the shop, indicating that I should receive a call from Jason that day. When I had not heard from Jason, by 5 p.m. that day, I called and left a message. When I had still not heard back, I called again at about 10:30 the next morning. Jason never apologized for taking nearly twice as long to deliver the rug as had been originally promised and, until I pressed him on this point, did not apologize nor even acknowledge that the rug had not been properly cleaned. He stated that he could not get the rug delivered to me until Monday of the next week. On March 22 our rug was finally delivered, 5 weeks after it had been picked up. It was clean, and looked like it would after a thorough vacuum. However it had a noticeable dusty smell. I decided I would rather tolerate the smell than have the rug taken for days or weeks more. There was an area where the rug would not lie flat that I mentioned to the delivery crew. They reassured me that it would lie flat within 24 hours. A week later and it still does not lie flat in this location. I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism by Jason, especially his failure to acknowledge where Caravan Rugs had failed to deliver on its promises.

We had a basement flood and they came out promptly to pick up our wet damaged rug. Can’t wait to see it cleaned!

Ive used their services twice and will continue to do so as needed. Our rugs always come back super clean even with the cats and dogs that see them as bathrooms :/. On that note they do offer extra pet type cleanings if that is also a problem you have. If you need rug pads they do offer various types depending on your needs.

Our rugs look fantastic. They look like new. The pickup and drop off service was excellent and the communication was good.

On 2 separate occasions they have been exceptionally professional and courteous while performing beyond expectations.

I entrusted Caravan Rugs to clean and resize an expensive 10x12 ivory wool/viscose area rug that was given to me. Unfortunately, the rug had many stains from the previous owners (pet, wine, etc.) that had been there for quite some time. The rug was previously cleaned by another company but the stains didnt improve much. I reached out to Jason to have the rug resized to remove the worst part of the stains and so that it would fit in my space. Jason (CEO) explained that they always clean the rug first, which costs $350. Due to some miscommunications along the way, it ended up taking almost 4 months to receive my rug back sized the way I had originally requested. Fortunately, I was not in a hurry, but I would definitely recommend better communication to avoid these types of delays in the future.As far as the service goes, I really liked that they offer pick-up and delivery for $35. Jasons employees were always punctual, polite, and professional and the convenience was worth it. Also, while not all the stains came out, the rug does look better than it did before and, had the stains not been there for so long, their cleaning process probably would have done a much better job. As far as resizing the rug/binding, I could not be more pleased. The thread they used matches the rug perfectly and if you didnt know any better, you probably would think that it was the original size of the rug.In short, I would use this company again in the future if I needed to clean or repair a high-value rug. I invested $500 into cleaning and resizing a rug that originally cost around $4,000, so it was worth it to me.Thank you Jason for standing by your 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

The guys arrived punctually for pickup & delivery. They were very friendly, very respectful of distancing in our house, and wore masks. Our rug hasnt looked so good in ages. In addition to cleaning, they replaced the ratty fringe with a nice short fringe. We are very pleased, and would definitely use them again

The folks from Caravan Rugs did an amazing job cleaning my rugs! The large hand-carved Aubusson feels thicker and the design has renewed definition. My smaller 5 by 7 rug also looks like new again. The colors have a rich vibrancy they haven’t had for years, and they even got a faded wine stain out! Delivery and pick up we’re both in the time frame specified. They were helpful and professional moving the furniture to pick up and replace the carpets. I’d definitely recommend this company!

Caravan recently cleaned 3 rugs for us. It was our first experience and I could not have been more pleased. They were quick to respond to my online request, picked up the rugs and returned them, and put them down for us within a very quick timeframe. The cleaning process brought life back into the rugs. I was given a beautiful yet super dirty oriental rug by my parents in SC. I transported it to Raleigh and contacted caravan to ask about cleaning pricing. I got excellent communication and customer service and they picked my rug up from my home! After the cleaning this rug looks amazing and it’s so soft and beautiful. We had them clean our wool and wool+silk rugs and they did a great job. The staff was also great to work with. Pick up and delivery right on time. Very professional and nice people.

I was giving one price over the phone.....350.00...twice. After my rugs were picked up the invoice contained a 550.00 price. When I called to ask about this I was told someone else just called complaining about the same thing and we must of not understood the price. Really!When they delivered therugs after cleaning I was told if I used a credit card I would be charged 3% more. No where on their website states this and I was not informed of this extra charge until the rugs came back. I find this switch and bait to be deceptive. My rugs were cleaned but they did not look new as stated in some of the other reviews. Im wondering who wrote all the 5 star reviews.

Update: I still believe that the work done repairing my kilim rug was good. It has been 8 months and the repair is holding up well. However, I am amending my review because they charged me twice for the same repair. I was left with no choice but to pay additional money on top of what I already paid in full. I felt extorted.After my initial review, I noticed that they missed repairing one of the three spots we discussed. I had just had a baby and admittedly I was a bit scattered, so I did not catch it when the rug was returned. As background, they repaired a large spot and returned the rug. We noticed that a spot had not been repaired and they said that was no problem and took it back with them. Upon dropping it off the second time, I was looking at the rug upside down (again, I will blame my baby-brain) and did not notice the third hole that was not repaired. All of this spanned four months by the time my rug was returned, as one of their key employees was sick. I then found it difficult on my end to bring the rug back in immediately. Upon bringing it back in two months later, the third hole was repaired. However, when i picked it up I was told I owed an additional $150. I was not told ahead of time (and they had fixed their other mistake without issue). I was then told that they had to charge me because I waited too long. I had been patient with their delays of four months for the repair, but I was not given the same courtesy. After being made to feel foolish, the bill was reduced to $100 (for a one inch slit in the rug).I try to be an honest person, I know that the hole was previously discussed as a repair, and I was simply not believed. I might have expected this treatment from a big box store, but that is why I try to support local businesses. In this case, they were no different. They said they were accommodating the first time they took it back and thats enough, but all that says to me is that their product review is sloppy and they do not catch mistakes. This was my first review and all I had wanted was to support their business; it saddens me to amend it in this way.

Caravan Rugs did a great job cleaning my bonus room carpet.. They will do only what you want them to do and are very reasonable with their prices. My carpet looks great. All the stains are gone. They also have cleaned my all wool decorative area rug and it is the best it looked since we bought it new. I would highly recommend them.
