I found Rays Hair Shop while working downtown, and now drive over 40 miles to visit with Stuart for a great haircut. Stuart helped me fix the after effects of several bad haircuts that I received while searching for a new barber. I like the process, call ahead, make an appointment and walk right up to the chair. If you prefer an authentic barbershop, this is it. Stuart shares his own special brand of wisdom, and delivers a consistent result every time. Due to my work schedule I couldnt make it to the shop for almost 2 months. I asked Stuart for a nice Spring Haircut and my wifes first words were, he nailed it. Cant beat that!

These guys are great. Their standard haircut with a straight razor trim is inexpensive. I always enjoy the conversation. Feels very old school. I go there for all my hair cutting needs.

Ive been going here for about 6 months now as a result of over priced shops in downtown. You cannot beat their prices, but most importantly you get personal treatment here. Stuart has been cutting my hair and its truly like the barber shop cut I got as a kid. Plus, theres great conversation. If youre not worried about the glitz and glamour of where youre getting your haircut come here. They will take care of you.

I had a wonderful experience here. I was very anxious to get a haircut just days before my wedding, but I could not risk another great clips haircut. So I just walked into Ray’s Hair Shop and, despite being booked and me not having an appointment, they took me in anyway during a 20 minute break. Immediately the man doing my hair recognized the issues with my hair and knew how to fix them, which really put me at ease. The haircut was fantastic; my wife was really please with it as well. At the end, he insisted I not pay anything, I supposed as a wedding gift of sorts, despite me insisting he at least let me tip him with my card. Here you get treated with individualized attention the impression that the barber cares if you leave feeling better about yourself than when you walked in. They usually dont but told me to come on down since they could fit me in. Awesome. Stuart cut my hair precisely how I wanted it and tapered it nicely! Got a straight razor shave around the neck as well. Really nice guy. I didnt bring cash so he let me run across the street to the atm with no hesitation. I will be back when I am in town. Tried to get a haircut to make it to a funeral and they were unable to accommodate me. Told me it would be at least a four hour wait.
