Ron is a crook! Simple and plain. No organization…he makes up bogus invoices for minimal work. Was charged several times for other people’s cars when my car was not even touched. His guys that work for him are cool (Drew is the best) the others are ether drunk or high most of the time….but Ron is as terrible as they come. I made the mistake of ignoring the reviews. It cost me…don’t do the same as I did. Avoid them if you can.

This is the worst place to take your car for a restoration. The Owner will promise a show car but doesnt have a clue what that means. Dont expect to get it done right the first or second time.Things you should be aware of.They dont have a lift.If you question the work you will be talked down to and belittled because the owner cant answer your question as he doesnt know.Check out the shop itself. No room to work. Many cars being worked on at the same time. Yours might be the one sitting next to a car that is being primed or spot painted with no protection.Get everything in writing to avoid being double or triple billed for the same thing.Whatever you do. Dont pay cash. Get a receipt detailing what your paying for. Once again GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING.Be prepared to hire an attorney.I had a 1971 Barracuda totally restored at a cost of $70,000 for labor $20,000 in parts. Not counting motor and the car still isnt finished. He gave me invoices for $28,000 even though my statements total $70,000.I have removed the car and taken it somewhere else to finish the assemble and interior. The quality of work is not show condition and wont bring the money I have in it.This being said. Im sure they will contradict everything Ive mentioned. I have the paperwork they dont. I can back up everything Ive stated. You can contact me at my shop at 105 W Main St. Garner Coins and Collectibles. I will be happy to show (pictures)and tell you what your in for. The worst experience you can imagine.Thomas CreechBeing Fair to his Employees. They are very loyal to their Boss. They do as well as can be expected with the working conditions, tools and equipment at their disposal. And they definitely earn every dime they are paid.

Why take your vehicle anywhere else for restoration or body works? If you have never done business with Ron, you are missing out. Quality is outstanding and prices are on point. Ron understands each and every customer situation and tailor his workflow to accommodate their needs. Ron Auto Body is honest straightforward but most of all reliable.

Amazing work and amazing staff!!! I had custom body panels installed with a two-tone custom paint job done about a year ago! I just had an accident and Ron made the process with insurance perfectly easy!! The guys in the garage are great guys that want to share their process and show concern for whatever my concerns are!! Ron worked with me on my initial budget. And the finish product was PERFECT. Flawless!

First and foremost, I liked the way Ron, the owner, and staff took ownership of the work that they completed on my sons vehicle. It is incredibly comforting that there are still professionals that take so much pride in the dynamics of their work. Also the detail and follow through of their craftsmanship and attention to detail. They were also very good role models. It is really nice to know that their are still people in this world to help others. Thank you guys for everything and see you soon. Mike

Rons crew took great care and effort to give me a better paint job than I ever imagined for the price. My older car suffered from the common clear coat gone bad of many 90s cars. it required a lot of stripping, blocking and sanding to prep it for a decent re-paint. These guys gave me a good price and a surprisingly quick turnaround time given the attractive price and the number of other cars being worked on at the shop. Ron was quick to contact me with any questions he had and to keep me posted on their progress. They made extra effort to make sure I was pleased with the work. When it was ready, WOW! Even better than I had hoped. Hey, Im a realistic guy. I asked for the best cheap paint job I could get within their lower priced paint job options. I didnt have my hopes too high, given the you get what you pay for rule of thumb. But Man, did they exceed those expectations. Thank You Ron and your crew! Ill be back with another car someday for sure.

Great shop! Treated fairly and the service was AWESOME! My car looks brand new! Replaced my bumper and matched the paint with factory colors. Went above and beyond my expectations. No problems explaining procedures or time frame. Well taken care of as a female in the car maintenance world. Definitely recommend Rons Auto Restorations to anyone looking to repair their vehicle.

Very friendly staff! My front bumper was scratched with a small paint scuff the size of a basketball and no other damages. I went to several places to get estimates and most places were trying to charge me way too much to get it fixed. I primarily worked and spoke with Joe regarding my car. When Joe gave me an estimate it was less than half of what the other places were charging me. Joe and Ron even went into detail on things other companies were overcharging me for. Prior to fixing my car, they even explained what they were going to do and the process to fix it. They are very honest and provide excellent customer service! Definitely would recommend them to anyone looking to get their car repaired.

Ive been taking my dads 1952 Packard to Rons auto body for mechanical and electrical repairs (not body work) for three years, and Ive found them to be extremely honest and very reasonably priced. That has not been the case with other mechanic shops that have worked on the Packard. Id highly recommend them. Incidentally, they are also very personable, communicative and pleasant, which is breath of fresh air compared to most mechanics.

I have been going to Rons auto body shop for various work on my car. They have always treated me with the utmost respect and the quality of work has always been over and above what have ever expected. I will never take my vehicle to another place, and my family takes their car to Rons all the time. Everyone that works in the shop has always been very professional and courteous. I had to get my car worked on and they even allowed me to bring in my dog to wait for my vehicle, you just dont get that kind of customer service from anyone else.

Several years ago when I got my first car it was involved in an accident. Took it here to have a door replaced and also to have the rear bumper repainted. Good prices, however, now that time as gone and I have definitely become a car enthusiast, I realize the quality of the work is poor. The door is poorly lined up and does not sit flush with the body. There are disgusting paint marks around the bottom of the front fender and the door. Looks as though it was not repaired properly at all. The paint they put on the rear bumper is OK. Had I cared for my car 3 years ago, I would have have not accepted my car in the form I received it in. You dont notice most of it until youre up close, however, attention to detail should be the one of the most important things to a body shop.

Overpriced for the quality of work. The owner of the shop is about as unorganized as they come. These guys have absolutely NO attention to detail. If you care about your car and expect honest quality work form an owner who actually cares, go somewhere else. The shop is dirty, unorganized, and poorly managed. The owner does all the painting and is terrible at it. Terrible prep work and dirty conditions. I regret having trusted them.

Took 65 Mustang Fastback in for sandblasting and body repairs. Took longer than promised. Later discovers improper rust repairs that were bondoed over and had to be cut out and reworked costing extra time and money. Beware if you take your car here.Edited ... Wow...you are denying that my car was ever there..This is the Rons I took it to off Purser drive in South Raleigh near 401. 65 fastback... poor quality.. Ron, fiftyish bald with drums in the office.Buyers beware .... believe the bad reviews... if you are looking for mediocre work at high prices and low value.. this is the place. The electrician mechanic that was in the Air Force is a good guy but Ron is a scammer.

The review of Jon Carter was inadvertently posted to this page, There is another Rons Auto Body about 8 miles away, in Fuquay-Varina. This shop has had several complaints and has been mistaken for Rons Auto Body and Restorations in Raleigh. We have never done work for Jon Carter at this shop. We have been in busyness for twenty years and take great care of our customers. Our policy is that we do not let a customer leave unless they are happy with all work done.Best,Rons Auto Body and Restorations LLC.
