So happy I found this auto shop. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I took my Audi here for an oil change and other services.They were honest and open about what my car needed and how much it would cost. In addition, they took the time to explain what my car needed and why (I’m no car expert lol). I ended up getting my brakes replaced and they even used a coupon on my bill at the end. There was no hidden cost at the end and I fully understood what I was paying for. I highly recommend this place and I’ll be taking my car back here for future services.
Autohaus is our neighbor and a delightful one. Most professionals in this industry cant help but look over vehicles that have been recently serviced by other professionals. It was refreshing to see their quality of work/repairs. Autohaus, being the specialist that they are, often service specific year, make, and models. I can personally say its very comforting to have the option of recommending our customers to them without worry. Considering the amount of vehicles weve had come to us after visiting them, its no question they take pride in their work. We love our customers and they rely on us for recommendations that have their best interest in mind. With that said, anytime we have recognized we are outside of our realm of expertise, require specialty tools, or simply do not have the software to continue repairs on specialty applications Autohaus has never disappointed. I called Autohaus Import Service on short notice to get a pre-purchase inspection on a car my wife and I were flying in to to buy. Understandably, I was told they were booked. Same story from everywhere else in town. MJ, however, went above and beyond by calling back with a cancellation and got me an appointment.One hour after dropping the car off (during which we ate lunch nearby, thanks to MJs recommendation), MJ had a report typed up and a technician to explain their findings to us. He found a minor leak that only an experienced European technician would look for. Impressive! Price was very reasonable and gave me a healthy understanding of the vehicles present condition.The waiting room was also very nice. Comfortable seating, various reading material and space for office work are thoughtful features. As a fellow automobile service professional, I would recommend Autohaus for your European car needs. I am blown away by my experience. I havent had the best luck with auto shops, and Im always a little hesitant, but if I ever need services in the future this is where Ill be taking my vehicle. They mentioned they were pretty busy, but I got my car back very quickly, and it drives AMAZING! They even drove me to work after I dropped my car off. (They normally have loaner cars, but at the time all of them were being used) The price I paid was fair and they offer a 3 year/36k mile warranty. You really just cant beat it. Thank you so much!!!

This was my first visit to Autohaus. I was very impressed! They’ll be my go-to garage moving forward. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the garage quickly investigated my issue and responded with a well-detailed, reasonable quote, and my service was completed on time. I highly recommend this business.
My engine light came on and upon startup my car seemed to be misfiring. Autohaus did a diagnostic test and although the end result was a complete engine repair, they walked through the options one by one. Their determination, teaching and professional advice is what keeps us coming back for services. Though our car was out of commission for a few weeks while the engine was being repaired, Autohaus allows for onsite car rental so you are never without a car. With 2 little kids and a full time job, having means to get around while not worrying about external car rentals was HUGE. This service is not one to be taken for granted and it’s one they allow for any means of service.
They were extremely helpful and thorough with the diagnostics on my car. Very friendly staff and exceptionally clean and tidy environment. I love that they have a business center for me to work in while my car is being worked on, along with complimentary coffee, water and snacks. I highly recommend this establishment and will certainly be back to get work done on my vehicle.
I have brought my car in multiple times over the past two months for a shaking problem in the front driver side and the mechanic has done next to nothing to diagnose the issue. On a test drive he immediately went for a faulty front axle which was replaced. The issue persisted, I brought the car back in and because they were unable to replicate the issue he said there was nothing that could be done. I told them specifically what I was experiencing and their response was basically ‘oh well’. Took the car back home and within a week it was shaking again. I brought it back a third time at which point they saw that the front caliper had been put on upside down. This was thought to be the culprit but still has not fixed the issue (and why did it take 3 inspections of the car to identify this???). I don’t understand why I’m pushing this mechanic to do their job and trying to diagnose it myself. You would think a professional would take some pride in the work they do and actually want to solve the issue, but that has not been my experience here. I understand cars are complicated machines and that diagnosing a problem can be difficult but after spending ~$1000 there has been no resolution and they have not tried to make this right once.

I couldnt be more happy with Autohaus! I have been using them for my Audis primary maintenance and major repairs for over a year. I have a hectic schedule but they are always willing to accommodate me because they allow after hours vehicle dropoff and also courtesy vehicles for when my car has to stay in the shop. Unfortunately I totalled my old Audi but as soon as I get my next one theyll be the first place I go when service time rolls around. In my experience they have done work for about half of what the dealership would usually cost. And on top of all that, genuinely amazing and friendly people! I take my dogs to see them sometimes

Everyone was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and bent over backwards for me when I had never been there before. It was late afternoon on a Friday and I was in a bind and they still made time to look at my car when nobody else I called would. They even provided a very nice loaner car to me which the dealership wont even do. I will be taking my VW there going forward for everything.

Best customer service I’ve experienced. Better than retail. MJ is AMAZING!! Remembered my name over the phone just by my car, even weeks after just one visit. They took great care of me and my car. Explained everything that needed to get done to my car and even color coded it to show me which repairs were urgent vs which ones could wait a bit. Even after I moved out of the area, I still make the drive up there because I don’t trust anyone else with my car.
Ive visited Autohaus a handful of times now and am continually impressed by their customer service each time. They always take the time to explain issues and all work Ive had done on my car there has been great. They also have some of the best COVID safety precautions of any place Ive been.

The staff was great. Getting a loaner was easy. They kept me updated and didnt give me unrealistic expectations for completion. The estimate was accurate. There were snacks.I dont feel like they swindled me, which is a huge deal. I hope not to need them soon, but when necessary, I will definitely return. If they do oil changes (I didnt ask) I would consider them for that or other routine maintenance.

Let me just brag for a moment.I drive a VW 2012 Beetle turbo. i have had 2 German exclusive mechanics during the duration of having my car. I have never had the service like I did when I was at Autohaus. I was impressed with the staff, the decor in the lobby, the garage, just every aspect of my visit. They put me in a loaner car until my car fixed. The staff there is AMAZING!!!!!!! The garage was so clean, you could eat off the floor. I strongly recommend using the if you have a German made motor. You will not be sorry. The master mechanic takes his time and is detailed. This was absolutely the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic shop. Five stars is an understatement!
Extremely honest, upfront and full of integrity! Brand new to Raleigh, I called around for a while to find the perfect fit for my VW Rabbit and behold, Autohaus was directly across the street, and it was fate. My windshield wipers stopped working a while back and I thought it was a broken motor, a $500 fix. I saved up and took the Rabbit in for an oil change, they ordered a motor for me and we scheduled an appointment for the following day.Just as I paid for the oil change, Shanna handed me my keys with great news - they actually took the time, care and compassion to check my wipers to see if there might be another solution... AND THEY WORKED! A lesser mechanic could have easily taken advantage of a young woman and replaced the motor, pocketing the service fee for the job. No, they went the extra step to put me first as the customer.You dont feel like youre in an auto shop while you wait, the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and feels like home. Theyre so kind, and they even take the time to physically show you on your car what maintenance you may need to consider down the line, AND they dont use scare tactics to pressure you into repairs you cant yet afford.I will always take my Rabbit here. I owe them so much as the pandemic completely derailed my career, and I had no idea how I was going to fix my wipers. I spent months using rain-x and testing my luck. My car had been serviced before and no one took the time to really examine my wipers, to go that extra mile for my safety. A diagnostics fee of $100 was what I was always quoted elsewhere. And these folks simply helped a girl out. I feel truly blessed and you will NOT be disappointed. Thank you Autohaus!
We trusted them to provide service which meets mfr specs (wifes vehicle in her name rather then mine), but receipt shows they used 5W30 engine oil instead of 0W20 specified by Lexus for 2013 RX350. Obviously they dont even bother to look it up. They also told her at time of that second oil change by them that brake pads were

Great experience! Volvo S40. Had enough of dealerships charging premium for below average quality. 27 point inspection, Oil Change, Timing Belt & Water Pump, Crank and Cam Seals... A/C had not worked right since we bought the car. Dealerships continued to just re-charge then it would stop working after a week. Found the problem and made appropriate repairs. So far, everything working exactly as expected. If that changes, they stand behind their work with a 3yr/36000 warranty. Staff very professional and knowledgable.
Finally a repair shop that has the technical expertise AND integrity to work on an automobile. As cars get more and more sophisticated I work on mine less and less so I needed a shop that knows what they are doing and I can trust to do the right thing. After trying many shops in the Triangle over the years I think I have finally found one that Ill come back to.Throw in the friendly folks at the front desk who are welcoming and able to explain whats going on is an added bonus. As an added level of trust I plan to let our kids bring their cars here without me having to keep on eye on what gets done. Much appreciated.

Consistently blown away by the level of care theyve offered me and my 2011 VW Golf since I took it in for a clutch replacement a year ago. Their free car rental is a serious bonus and they offer a warranty better than the dealership. Since then theyve sent me generous coupons and solid recommendations for towing, tire, and headliner repair. Their communication is always thorough and friendly, and always responsive. Im so grateful for this place!
Having had a good service experience during my last visit, I brought another one of our cars here for a second opinion on a mechanical issue. Not only did they give honest feedback, but also warned us of some other items that would likely need to be addressed in the coming months before we dumped a lot of money Into an older car. All in all we decided to replace the car, but the level of customer service received on this and all past visits was outstanding.

Autohaus broke more than they fixed. After putting my mini cooper on the lift to give me an expensive quote they parked it out front again and from there it wouldnt start again until I paid a $1000+ bill. I took it to my regular repair place and they showed me what Autohaus broke and attempted to fix with a wire tie that caused a cascade of other issues. For BMW/Mini Cooper try G3 on Glenwood Ave or Shadetree

After using Autohaus in the past with varying degrees of success, a recent experience resulted in them damaging my vehicle while it was in their possession. Worse yet, they then charged me for the repairs to fix the damage they caused, which did not even get fixed the first time. After they got the vehicle back to repair the damage they caused and failed to fix it initially, they made a fuss about me having to return the loaner vehicle after hours and claimed I would be permanently banned from being able to get any future loaner vehicles, and then claimed they would charge me for the loaner vehicle. I had to threaten to sue them before they would agree to waive the loaner fees and credit me back for repairs that resulted from their damage to my vehicle. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! I tend to only post reviews when I find truly unacceptable business practices and this one is worthy of the need to warn others. And now I see Doug replied, which was the first instance I heard from him. They offered to come pick the loaner vehicle up, which is what they did, but they also cannot deny that the damage occurred to my vehicle while in their possession and that they charged me for the repair. Again, I would not do business with these folks.
I was a first time customer, with a VW, and my experience was not what I had expected. The communication from them on what to expect, their hourly rates, how long to wait,etc was very poor. At the end thay even carged me 1 hour of labor for them provide an estimate. Even now I have no clue what their hourly rates are. I was told it varies, which is strange. I have never been treated like that with any VW dealership. At the end the bill was not cheaper than if I would have gone to VW.Not sure if I will ever go back to Autohaus.
THE BEST MECHANIC SHOP IN THE US! I know that sounds a little extreme but this shop really goes the extra mile, pun intended. I went here for my annual inspection yesterday since my regular mechanics machine was down. I am SO glad I found this place. Scheduling was super easy and the staff was SO hospitable. The gentlemen showed us to the lounge, offered us a variety of drinks and snacks. There is also a work space if you require that. The place was spotless and even smelled good. They offer free loaner cars too. Altogether very comfortable and functional if you are stuck waiting for any reason. They pointed out some repairs that my old mechanic overlooked during the last service. I really appreciate that they explained these were minor repairs and not detrimental. I truly appreciate the honesty, especially in this industry. The quote for repairs was fair. I can only imagine the attention to details translates to the shop.

Staff was great had a multitude of things to be repaired in a restoration project and they helped me save as much money as they could. My vehicle was done in a timely fashion and they let me know about any incurred cost prior to proceeding with repairs. They will work on all of my family’s vehicles from now on.
From calling to schedule to the work they do, they are incredible! Everyone is friendly and patient. They took the time to show me, on my car, what they were seeing and gave me a run down of what was most pressing to things that could wait until the big stuff was taken care of. Their waiting room is full of goodies with an office space separate from the sitting room and snack bar. They go the extra mile to make sure I’m comfortable while you wait and they take great care of my car!

We recently needed our car inspected and went to Autohaus to complete this. I was very nervous given the Covid 19 situation They could not have been nicer and fully prepared to deal with this. We communicated with them without entering the business. When the car was ready it was completely sanitized. In addition our keys and bill were placed in a lockbox and therefore we didn’t have to worry about being 6 feet apart. I paid for the car via phone. They did everything they could to make this a positive experience It has always been an excellent place for car repairs but they are going above and beyond for our safety also!!
The store manager, Shanna, was very professional and gave me estimates and opinions without going ahead and charging me. Her team really run a fine shop and I will recommend anyone who needs car help to go here.
I have officially found my forever mechanic! I had always used the dealer for all maintenance previously. I was told that my emergency brake was maxed out and would need a new line. My husband had just went to Autohaus and sang their praises, so I thought I would give them a try. I am so glad I did! From the moment I walked in the door, I was pleasantly surprised on how welcome I felt. Shanna and MJ were so nice and helpful. My car just hit 100k miles so asked for a full inspection of what it may need. I received a quote with great prices for the work that was needed. I went ahead with the work and was so glad to hear, I didn’t need a new emergency brake line after all! They were able to adjust it and even said there was room for more adjustment in the future. They saved me more than $300! I never knew it could be a joy to visit the mechanic and to have a trustworthy one at that :) They even gave me some delicious cookies from a local bakery and my dog got a treat too! I will be recommending Autohaus to everyone I know as I can’t imagine finding a better one.
I was very pleased with the service at Autohaus. Doug is very friendly and personable as is all of the technicians and other front of the house staff. I waited for my Range Rover and was pleased to see a waiting area that was very comfortable and accommodating. TV, fireplace, comfortable seating, coffee and snacks. They were fast with the service and reasonably priced without trying to sell me other unnecessary services. I will definitely return.

I have 2 BMWS both 750Lis. When you own a BMW a second car is a good idea. I ONLY take them to Auto Haus. First of all their entire staff can discuss intricate details about your car. I used Autohaus for a PPI on a 1989 Mercedes 300E that a local dealer had for sale. I was buying the car remotely. They were able to get the car in quickly and gave me a very thorough evaluation that was absolutely spot on. I bought the car and was very pleased with their report and service.

This place is outstanding. They are very straightforward about any repairs to be made. They let you know which problems are urgent and which ones can be put off. Perfect place to go with our older Mercedes which has a lot of things that “could” be fixed. The front desk staff and the mechanics are all friendly and courteous. The waiting area is comfortable, clean, and smells good. No loud noises, music, or tv. And, they have business offices so you don’t have to miss out on a whole day of work. I would highly recommend this place.

I recently took my wifes 2007 Camry Hybrid to Autohaus for a state inspection. I was a little concerned about doing this during the COVID-19 pandemic, but was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the thoughtful and detailed measures taken to ensure my safety! As always, the staff remains courteous, customer service-focused, and knowledgeable. I am always impressed with the high level of customer service here.
Shanna and MJ took great care of me. Dropped my car off overnight with a dead battery. They provided me a great loaner vehicle while mine was out of commission, and had mine ready to pick up before the end of the same day. Couldnt have asked for friendlier, faster service! Will definitely be using them as my mechanics from now on!
Showed up Monday morning, immediately enveloped with an air of confidence that my problem can be diagnosed and solved in a timely fashion.After expressing my concerns about being new to the city with nobody to rely on for a ride, a relief car was offered to me for pick up when I got off work that afternoon. Oh, and a lift to work by one of the employees that morning.My car was diagnosed, and I mean FULLY diagnosed (not just reading the check engine light), they told me what the real problems were and which ones were coming down the road (nice).They solved the problem the following day and worked with me on a price I could more readily afford. This was a abnormal experience of going to the mechanic. And abnormal in a good way.If you drive a BMW, go ahead and make the correct decision by heading here. Ask for MJ at the desk, breath of fresh air.Car problems suck, but these people don’t suck.
Ive been doing business with Autohaus (Doug & Shannon) for several years now, and my wife has been more recently since moving to Raleigh in 2017. We both never cease to be very satisfied with their service. Over the years, Ive found them to have a high level of integrity which is hard to find these days and difficult to put a price. They are VERY good at what they do and consequently have always fixed any problem Ive ever brought to them. And I have no doubt that if there were ever an issue, they would get it fixed right!They will NOT push service on you! This year my car turns 16 years old and my wifes is 14. And believe me, like ourselves, they are old enough to constantly find things that need fixing. Autohaus will do what theyre suppose to do, that is to spot issues that you need to know about that involve vehicle safety or keep you from being stranded along a public highway, or keep you from having to pay a higher repair bill later.My wife and I could not safely and affordably drive vehicles this old without the careful care and competency that Autohause provides. And they do keep our cars running very well!Autohaus will offer you something thats badly needed in the auto repair business these days, that is an excellent outcome at a fair price! We highly recommend them for doing just that!
What a positive experience I had today! When I arrived I was greeted by Doug who was most personable. He quickly took my information and sent me to a nice waiting room with snacks and drinks. They took me promptly at my appointment time, quickly determined the issue, had the part in stock, fixed it right then and sent me on my way! Great customer care and service. Thank you!
Either they do not know what they were doing or wanted me to pay $3,000 for fixing a leak in my AC system under the dash board. Another person showed me how to fix it with a $45 freon recharge which also has an adhesive from Autozone that blocks leaks. Things work fine now and cool air blows fine. I am disappointed. My wife thought they were not up and up - and I thought she was wrong. Live and learn.Dear Doug, Thanks for your response. Had you given me this choice, that another sympathetic and practical mechanic gave, based on the age of the 2001 car with 250,000 miles on it on its last legs, and allowed me to make a determination whether to repair it for $3,000 or patch it for $45, I would have much appreciated your input & judgment and valued your professional concern. My AC is working fine with no issues FYI.Giving you the benefit of doubt, and based on so many other testimonies, I will change the stars to five - But, please do keep in mind. When people come to you, you are responsible to give them all options. The Almighty will provide to each one of us - as he has to all of us!! Thanks.
Great service and prices are great for the level of service that you get. I had a Ridgeline sit under a tree for two years. They not only get it running again they also WASHED IT. You can only imagine how bad it had to have been.

I wish I had discovered this place sooner! The charges are reasonable and they tell you upfront without surprises what everything will cost. They have a comfortable waiting area with snacks:-) And, a business center if you need to bring your laptop and work while youre waiting for your car. I dealt with a lady at the front counter and the owner and they were both extremely courteous and professional. I cant imagine why I would take my car anywhere else.

It was time for the major E service on my Mercedes. The first thing you notice is that the place is immaculately clean and airy. As I waited my turn I took a quick look around. The waiting area is unexpected for an auto repair business. It rivals many office areas. There are snacks and drinks readily available to those waiting.Doug is the Owners name. He initially helped me. He understood what I needed. He explained how they worked. He explained how they would charge to detect what was needed as well. I had a request to replace some light fixtures I had already purchased. Each person I interacted with was positive and professional. I went back to work. I was contacted within a reasonable time regarding what the complete repair/maintenance status of my car was. I was told what would be done and when I could expect it to be finished.The work on my car was finished within the time frame given and at the out the door price quoted. I picked my car up and drove away. The next day I heard a sound that I had heard before. I called them. I was told that a tech would be picking up my car and leaving me a loaner. Doug himself brought me the loaner vehicle while they checked out my concern. The item was corrected and my car was returned the same day.I am very satisfied with the service I received. The positive energy of all folks I encountered to the quality of work offered and performed is excellent! When he picked up my car Doug basically said, when I thanked him ...customer service. You can talk about it or be about it. They are definitely about it.
What incredible service! From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcome! They had my name on a board welcoming me in for my appointment, the waiting area was very tastefully set up and supplied with a very nice variety of refreshments, and comfortable seating. They have a nice private area if you need to do some work while you are waiting for your vehicle. And in every step of the service I felt comfortable with these mechanics and will definitely return for future service on our family vehicles!
Not only do they CONSISTENTLY deliver quality work at a fair price, they do it with a smile and courtesy. I appreciate their honesty when telling me certain services should be completed and when others arent necessary.
Bait & Switch really Doug—I thought your shop was better than this???My daughter is driving to College in her friends car so we BOOKED an oil change per your synthetic blend coupon that you mailed for her friend’s Subaru.Shanna (& I have this on video as we were checking out) said she Suggested Synthetic oil as an option(for a Subaru 2002 & NOT a WRX performance model)......& Admitted NEVER explained that your pricing of Synthetic Oil change is $99/without a coupon.Again, I called & booked what you ADVERTISED & #congratulations to Shanna for up-selling...& taking advantage of my daughter’s friend.

I do not have my vehicle serviced or repaired anywhere else! The latest service was the second time Autohaus told me, “We do not want to take your money.” My repair was covered under an existing warranty and they walked me into the shop to explain every detail of what the issue was and how to address it. First impressions are everything to me. My first time visit was last Monday and it was a great experience! Expert service, decent pricing and Shayna (sp?) at front desk is knowledgeable, professional and provided options to accommodate me. The lounge is clean and comfy and snacks are available. I will be returning for all my car care services.
Had purchased new tires so asked Autohaus for an alignment. They put it on the machine and said that my alignment was good. They only charged me for a minimum checking fee. I have used Autohaus for over 5 years now and my son has his vehicle serviced there as well. I feel that I have always received great service, at a fair price, from very friendly people.

I am so happy I finally took my car to experts who knew what was wrong with my car and how to fix it. I have spent about $3K over the last year to no avail. I was out of town and had engine issues again and I found Autohaus online. After reading reviews, I knew I found the right place. Besides being clearly knowledgeable, the employees were kind and sympathetic to my past experiences. I even got a hug when I left!! I don’t want anyone else to work on my car now so I will be driving 2 1/2 hours every time I need an oil change. My mini, Lily, says thank you as do I!!!

I always receive excellent service at Autohaus. When I take my car in, they tell me and show me things that need to be fixed, but dont pressure me to get them done then and there. They are honest about how long I can wait until I absolutely need to have the repairs done, and they have an extremely friendly staff. I will definitely keep going back!
Landrover LR2 check engine light came on with a very tight deadline to resolve for me - Autohaus idd the issue and fixed it within 2 days (including ordering the required part). Very happy with the service - MJ was great and kept me up to date on everything. Our go-to service center for anything with this vehicle.
Shanna, Doug, and the staff at Autohaus are so great. They always provide the best customer service experience every single time I take my car there. Car issues/problems/repairs are incredibly stressful and complicated at times, but the Autohaus staff treats each situation with competence and care for the customer. Autohaus Raleigh is a very dependable shop for all foreign cars but especially German cars. They gave new life to my 1997 E420 that sat idle for most of the winter months. Doug, Shana and the technicians are kind, courteous and have great customer service. The bill for repairs on the Mercedes was very high but I asked and they reduced the labor costs and made it possible for me to pay for the repairs. In previous repairs, they provided me with loaners until my repairs were completed. The waiting room is very clean with snacks and water while you wait. We have been regular customers there for over ten years and I recommend them with great enthusiasm.
These folks are always helpful and accommodating. My XKR runs like new!
Love this place for my wifes Volkswagen. Honest and responsive and saved me a good bit of money over the quote of a place that did not specialize in European models. Shanna was amazing and on top of everything.
