My latest trip was the final straw. I had my brakes replaced and the warranty was still active. I went in because my brake light was on. I called for a brake inspection and was told to come right in as they could fit me in immediately. I arrived 15 minutes later and handed over my keys. My car remained untouched for the next hour and 5 minutes. I asked a representative why my car hasn’t been taken in yet and they went to check on it. 15 minutes later a rep got in my car, backed over a curb, then pulled in to the bay. After mother 20 minutes, the front desk person came to inform me I have a severe leak in my brake line, possibly multiple. This was not covered by the warranty. I said thank you and asked for my keys back. The front desk clerk then said I need to get it towed because my brakes are in that bad of condition. I took my keys and drove down the road to Triangle Car Care where David put brake fluid in my vehicle and scheduled me an appointment for the next day.All the while my time was not being respected at AAA, I was waiting in the lobby. Customer after customer that had come in for a routine oil change had a representative sit down with them and quote hundreds of dollars worth of repairs that were urgent. Not once was it as simple as your oil change is complete and you’re all set. There was always something else.

Rob quoted me $1,400 to replace the ignition lock cylinder including 6hrs of labor. I was able to complete the repair on my own for $140 in less than 1 hour. I would never recommend anyone use this AAA care center for any reason due to the obvious lack of knowledge and experience to properly handle even a very basic repair.

I was very impressed with the team at AAA Glenwood. Maya provided clear, concise instructions for the current work on my truck and estimates for future work without pressure. I was very impressed.

Daughters fan belt came off whilst she was driving and battery went flat. AAA towed her to Glenwood, replaced the fan belt and charged the battery. Later the battery went flat again and the AAA came out and started it for her so she returned to Glenwood and AAA replaced the battery. They also produced a comprehensive vehicle inspection report which was helpful in identifying other issues of which we were not previously aware.

3 hours to do an inspection, with an appointment. Whats the use of an appointment if the car doesnt even get touched for an hour, and then sits in the garage for 2 more? Make sure you get a ride, or youll be waiting the rest of your life. Or, just go somewhere else that can do an inspection without an appointment in 15 minutes.

I have used this branch several times. They schedule sensibly, so they start looking at your vehicle as soon as you sign in. They do a thorough inspection to assess the problem and any other potential problems they notice. Work is completed within a day, as long as there arent delays of part orders. FAST, FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT! Whats not to like?

The tow truck took me to AAA and I asked Rob Koker to help me to request a ride from Uber where I have an account. Turns out AAA provided the ride. The next day he told me my car was fixed. I asked how late they were open so I could get a ride. He sent a car to get me there. I had no idea they provided this service.

AAA is reliable repair shop I do recommend becoming a member of AAA comes in handy if you dont have full coverage insurance with tow coverage they will come out tank if youre out they will fix a flat tire for you and Im sure they offer a lot of other services

The was our annual safety inspection. Overheard service writer interact with another customer...very polite, knowledgeable, she explained what was needed now & what to watch in future. No pressure. My service writer also was polite, knowledgeable and answered my questions thoroughly.

Had car in for oil change and was told there was some corrosion on battery terminals and I agreed to have it cleaned. Two months later car would not start and problem was battery and corrosion. They charged a second time to clean corrosion. When I had the problem the first time they never discussed the degree of the condition nor suggested I might want to replace battery. Received call from Manager and we discussed what had happened and what would have been more helpful. He did refund the charge for the second cleaning.

Our 2000 Jeep Grande Cherokee broke down in Raleigh. We are from out of town. We ended up stopping by this AAA store. Sadly, the repairs were quoted beyond what the automobile is worth. The Consultant we were working with, Damon, was very professional. Very honest. Very friendly and very helpful. He gave us good advice regarding the car and advocated to be able to keep our Jeep at the center for over a week while our AAA Plus Membership towing benefits kicked in (Ended up saving us 300 in towing, plus we received a AAA membership at a discounted rate for a year). the staff there paid for a Lyft transportation to get us to the local car rental agency. Overall very friendly experience. They made what was a hectic, stressful, exp into a more mangable one. Thanks for the help and altruism.

I’ve been a AAA member for about 12 years now. I recently relocated from NY and I am very impressed by AAA Carolinas. I have car insurance and renter’s insurance through them. The service here is that of a Hotel Concierge. Today Eddie Coto welcomed me to this location while getting a routine oil change. Eddie was professional and did not act like a used car salesman trying to upsell services. ( as members we hate that). The team here seems to work well together to get their customer taken care of. Eddie took his time to review and discuss services I should follow up on to keep my 2013 Altima running at 100K miles. He discussed all the needed fluids and engine cleaning needed that I honestly did not consider or were not recommended by my dealership or personal mechanic. The oil change was affordable with the e-mail coupon. They also did a thorough complimentary inspection of the vehicle addressing all areas and tire rotation. So for those of you complaining about the 2 hours you spent waiting, it was well worth it. Many of these “ 15 min oil change “ places don’t look at the fluids, don’t put your caps back on after service! If you don’t want to wait hours, they offer car service courtesy by LYFT to pick you up and bring you back once service is complete.They recently repaired my A/C as well by performing a evacuation & recharge. That baby is cooler than ice cold !I saved on that also with the emailed coupon savings !I feel like I’m in good hands here. Had a slow leak in my tire. Went in to get a new one, the found a nail and patched it instead of just replacing my tire. Saved me a lot of money. My wife and son also go here and are both very happy at the care they take as well as the full report. They inspect your car for general things that may be wrong too. Very happy overall and will return when needed.

My AC ran out after 15 years of owning my car. It was simply a recharge and maintenance work.

State Inspection. Positive--Excellent compliance with protective protocol, understanding of my cars issues and my financial limitations as a retired senior, checking tire pressure and filling tires if needed, courteous treatment. Negative but understandable, 2 hour wait for inspection.

The willingness to actually work with you and explain and not feel like you are being rushed.

Went in for a $50 synthetic oil change, free tire rotation, and for them to fix my turn signals. Spent an hour and 45 minutes to be told that they couldnt fix the turn signals. Spent $95 instead of the $50 on the coupon. Never again. Jiffy Lube changes oil in less than 30 minutes for less. I wont be back. Oh, and they couldnt fix the turn signals.

Scheduled an appointment for an oil change. It took them 2.5 hours to do a basic oil change. My car waited outside for over an hour past my appointment time before they even took it in the garage. I will not be returning here. What is the point of making an appointment if I still have to wait this long? Figure out how to be more efficient.

I had a bad experience before but Eddie went above and beyond to take care of us today. He got us in and out and was extremely professional. Because of Eddie-Ill be giving them more of my business.

People at this location are very professional and helpful. Went for a car inspection. I didnt have an appointment, but they were able to take me. They have wifi and a waiting and work area, so if you have school work or work to do its a great set up! Josh was super helpful and informative, let me know what I needed to pass inspection and what I needed for the future but did not pressure me into buying anything. Helpful & convenient!

Upon arriving for an inspection, I informed the sales clerk, a Mr. Coto that I had an ignition interlock device and would need to be available to use the interlock if needed through the inspection. After waiting 45 minutes to be called to start my car, I explained to the technician the same thing about my interlock device. Somehow, during the 15 minutes these charlatans were in possession of my vehicle they managed to disregard the interlock device I informed them about. This resulted in a violation that I will need to pay for and then dispute with the dmv. Upon realizing this after paying for the service, I approached Mr Coto and the technician who inspected my vehicle, they responded that it wasn’t their responsibility and how we’re they supposed to know. Careless and unapologetic. I won’t be going back and hopefully this review enlightens others to make better decisions about where they spend their money.

These guys are the best! They have guided my husband and me in getting tires as well as some major car maintenance! Mike was very patient with me on the phone and gives great customer service. I never feel talked down to by anyone there. Rance did a phenomenal job communicating with us and sending pictures. This is not your average ‘turn em and burn em’ car place. They actually care that this might be your only vehicle. Over the years I have taken my cars to several places in Raleigh it almost always ends in disappointment. I can honestly say after this experience we won’t be going anywhere else!

My son received terrible customer service from this location. He took his 2001 Toyota 4 runner to this station to determine where leaking steering fluid was coming from. He scheduled a 1:00 appointment, but his car was not even serviced until after 4:00. After a full scale exam of the car, the mechanic recommended replacing the rack and pinion (and leaking seals) for approximately $1100. This repair did not stop the excessive leaking. When he took it back, the mechanic identified leaking pressure hoses, an additional $600 repair. My son wonders if the rack and pinion even needed replacement, and why the pressure hose leaks were not identified during the full scale exam. This feels like either incompetence, or intentional manipulation, neither of which I expect from a AAA approved station.Update: In response to the above review, Justin of AAA Glenwood Avenue contacted me. He sincerely wanted his customers to be happy, and did a good job of customer recovery. He offered a reduced rate to offset our inconvenience, and the additional repairs were completed and solved the problem. Our follow up with Justin was much more satisfactory than our original experience.

This location went above and beyond for my needs and my car. The staff I dealt with were all helpful or found someone who could help best. I was involved in a collision and filed a claim with my car insurance. My claims adjustor did a horrible job advising me about what the next steps were nor gave me any updates. Thanks to Eddie I was able to know what to expect, what I needed to do, and everything in between. And even when my car insurance wanted to only pay 50% on some of the parts (something called “betterment”), they were not the ones to tell me. Eddie gave me a knowledgeable explanation of everything and did not try to aggressively sell me any parts I did not need right in that moment. He advised me and gave me a list of things he would recommend but walked me through what parts were absolutely necessary and what could probably wait. In such a stressful moment and trying to figure what to do, I could not have thanked this Car Care Center and Eddie more. A++ service. Highly recommend.

Excellent service; great care for my car. Had to wait longer than I would have liked; 2.5 hours from suggested 4 p.m. until I left at 6:30, but all the work was great and people (Mike in particular) very caring and doing all he could - and economically - to be sure I got great service.

One thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I was charged $8.94 for supplies to install a new battery. When I asked what type of supplies are needed to install a new battery. I was told it was to clean the terminals and reset the clock, radio, and security system. To me, those are not supplies and should come as part of a battery change. This appears to be a hidden surcharge that AAA charged me. Beware!

Beware. This place cares ONLY about your money. This is the script. You bring in your car, talk to the front desk guy (hes the wheeler and dealer) who has the reddish goatee and brown eyes. He tells you that theyll get to your car in just a few minutes, but you end up waiting more than an hour, while he sits around and acts like this is acceptable. If you tell a customer that the wait will be a few minutes, then anything after thirty minutes is worth an explanation, or at least an update on where they are with inspecting your vehicle. Once the wait is over and the car is inspected, out comes the man with the goatee to tell you EVERYTHING thats wrong with your car, and how much it all costs. Usually there is an exorbitant cost associated with these repairs that they claim are imminent. Not to mention the rudeness directed towards customers when theyre not there to spend gobs of money. Here is the bottom line: If you are willing to hand out money to them with no issues, they are nice to you. But if the Mover and Shaker who sits behind the front desk gets the smallest idea that AAA wont make money on you, then he acts dismissively. Ive witnessed his behavior with my own eyes repeatedly while sitting in the waiting room. This is not to say that AAAs standards include taking as much money as possible from the customer, but when the main man at the front desk makes it obvious that his only care is the customers wallet, it becomes questionable as to whether he is doing this to fill his own pockets, or has been advised by the company to behave in this manner. I will not be returning to AAA.

You’ll pay $600 for an alternator replacement, three weeks later the check charging system light will come back on, drive back over there and they will say they are busy and closing soon and won’t take 5 minutes needed to test the alternator just to let you know if the car is going to die. They are happy to take your money, not stand by their work and leave you car-less until they feel like looking at it.

They replaced the AC unit for my car last year. It failed in under a year and they won’t make it right unless I authorize an additional $600+ in repairs. That’s just not right. I picked up my car and they did something to it to make it run rough. It was fine except for the AC when I dropped it off. Do not take your car here!

I have been an AAA member for more than 40 years. 5 to 7 years ago I found this shop to be reliable and effective for several different types of services and repairs to at least three of our vehicles during that time. Last Thursday I called them to discuss getting a front-end alignment on my wifes rather rare 2006 Jaguar XK8 Victory Edition convertible. I spoke with two different AAA associates who could not answer my questions regarding my alignment requirements. I was finally told that Justin was in a meeting but he would call me shortly to discuss my requirements. I never heard from him. So the next morning I called the Atlantic Tire location a little farther west on Glenwood Avenue. They answered my unique questions immediately and scheduled me for an alignment appointment a little later that morning. They set the cars alignments toe specs exactly to my specifications in about 45 minutes while I waited on the vehicle. The moral of my story is that AAA could learn quite a bit about delivering top-notch customer service from the folks at Atlantic Tire.

I was in Raleigh for business when I unexpectedly got 2 flat tires. I was able to get AAA to tow my car to the Glenwood store and received great customer service. I called the store prior to the car arriving and spoke to Terry who was great. He was able to get the tires to the store before my truck was there, and had my car ready with in an hour of it hitting the shop. From the tow, to the shop service, I cant thank these guys enough. I am a firm believer in AAA, and they have proven once again, that they are the best.Special thanks again to Terry, as he was able to get me in and out with out an issue. I have gone to this AAA for years, and received good service. Last week, though, service was truly exemplary. Justin (who must be relatively new?) took my call and helped me make some difficult decisions about whether to keep a car or to get a new one. He was extremely respectful, and he even went with me to the potentially new car and looked through the paperwork for its previous car care to see which major repairs/maintenance had already been done and what would probably need to be done before too long. I was super impressed. I will definitely be coming back here!

Visit was for tire replacement. The experience was very satisfactory, However, I needed to return to have the new TPMS sensors synced with the car, an omitted step. This follow-up was completed immediately.Since this was an omitted step, and given my years of customer service experience, I detected the managers concern that this occurred. I am confident that proper coaching has already taken place.So, the need for the second visit took away only one star.

Rance Hume and Eddie Cotto at the Glenwood location just went over and beyond expectations of any service department. The job was a timing belt and brakes(seized caliper) . Why do all that to a “2006 Acura with over 200k”. ? It’s a great car and I deemed it worth the time and money for me to have it for 100k more. I love that car. I was contacted every step of the way, before any decision was made, and on top of that, me and my wife got text notifications with itemized stuff and progress updates. Nothing gets charged without communication. These are not just oil change and tire guys. These are car guys. Legit. I work in a similar industry and I’m always skeptical, but they came thru. 100%. I recently had car trouble and took my vehicle to the AAA Car Care Center on Glenwood Avenue. The service staff was very helpful and courteous and displayed professionalism that Ive not seen in a car care center in many years. Wayne Chase, Service Consultant, was particularly helpful. Im not sure what the point of an appointment is when it still takes them thirty minutes to get to your car. Taking over an hour for just an oil change (I declined a tire rotation) is way too long. Everyone was friendly though.

On 12/7 I had a 1:00 pm appointment for an oil change and an alignment. I was told the car would be ready at 3:00 pm. At 3:40 pm I called and was told the car had just been moved into the service bay. I didnt get it back until 5:45 pm. I will not be returning to this AAA location for anything.Had a 1:00 pm appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. The incorrect oil filter was ordered so another one had to be ordered and delivered. The complete service took 2 hours!I have to admit, the AAA Service Center on Glenwood Ave was very quick to reply to my Google review. They took my comments seriously and promised to make things right the next time I am in. Everyone makes mistakes but when those mistakes are recognized and addressed it means alot. I will return for future car servicing The quick response deserves an upgrade from 2 to 4 stars.

Jason was very helpful and friendly. He explained what was wrong in terms I could understand and my car was fixed relatively fast for a better price than most places you could go in Raleigh. they have a great waiting room with computers and it has a play area for kids. Ive done homework there while my car was being fixed. Also, good candy selection. This is where Im going to be getting my car done from now on.

I just bought a used truck. Didnt find out it had a couple of rusted gas tank straps til afterwards. Anyways, with this gas tank half way hanging off of the truck, I was in a panic. Securing a couple of ratchet straps on it for temporary support, pressing against the drive shaft, I couldnt drive it. AAA gladly towed it to the glen wood location for free! Not only was I offered free breakfast, but they were able to take a look at both of my trucks that day and give me honest assessments!! After finding a list of things wrong with the truck, they fixed everything. I am the guy that asks a lot of questions and requires a lot of educating, but they were so patient with me and so supportive!! And now, the truck looks and runs great!! YOU CAN TRUST THESE GUYS!! Ask for Adam, or Wayne. They were the ones working with me, and were super supportive and honest!! I would go back there in a heart beat.

I just want to say thank you to Glenn! Although he had to give me bad news about my car I appreciate his honesty and his amazing customer service. He is so friendly and he did all he could have possibly done to get what I needed for my car. Needed my oil changed. I had a $20 coupon. I drive a minivan so Im aware that I would need more than 5 quarts (ended up needing 6 quarts). Coupon is essentially $20 off.Called at 9am and was told it would be best to make an appointment. I made an appointment for 1pm. Was told an oil change takes 45 minutes to an hour. Fine, I can wait it out.Got there and was told they were backed up due to an employee leaving for some emergency reason. They said it would be an hour and twenty minutes. No problem. I have my laptop and can get some work done.I got out of there at 3:30. It took 2.5 hours to get my oil changed. The guy helping me said he would take care of me due to it taking so long. Taking care of me consisted of only charging me $24 on a $20 coupon.Also, there were three elderly people in there with me. It was shameful the amount of up-selling and add ons they were pushing on them. One lady wanted to know why her battery was $150. Was told that was the only battery they had. She asked for senior discounts, member discounts, etc.. Finally the guy said he could bring it down but not much. If there were discounts, why didnt he give her the discounts to begin with?And the guys working up front will ignore you if theyre not the ones who initially took your order. I stood in the lobby after being there an hour and a half and was ignored by 3 employees sitting at their computers.This location gives AAA a bad name. Listen to the reviews. I wish I had.

I brought my vehicle in to get an oil change and they began taking pictures of the outside and inside of my vehicle when I asked why the representative at the desk told me I could just get my keys back if there was an issue. The male representative was unfriendly to me and unwilling to assist but the older white woman who came in after me and my husband was greeted with good afternoon how can I help you?

NEVER buy a battery from AAA! I purchased a battery less than a year ago and it stopped holding a charge the other day.I had the AAA driver come to my house to jump my car and test the battery. He said the battery test came back good and told me to leave the car running 20 minutes to charge the car. I ran the car for 30 minutes and after work the battery was completely dead. I then had to get my car jumped again and dropped it off at my mechanic.My mechanic charged and tested the battery and told me it was not holding a charge. He tested my alternator and said it was fine and it is just a faulty battery.I then had to call AAA again to meet them at my mechanic and they tested the battery again and told me it was good and would not replace it with the warranty. He said he would have to call and have it towed to a AAA service center to charge the battery and test it more.After wasting two half days off of work, I decided to just purchase a new battery from my mechanic (rather than wasting more time at a AAA center) and needless to say my car has been working fine since.

This was my first time at this location and I will definitely be coming back for future service. Justin gave 100% from the moment he answered the phone and Wayne was more than willing to answer any question I had, even bringing me into the garage to show me things on my car and help educate me. They treated me like family and I greatly appreciate their efforts.

I do not appreciate the sexist language directed towards me and other women. The brown-haired guy with a goatee kept calling me and my friend sweetie and girls while checking out at the front desk after waiting for hours to get my car back. Gross!!!This is a very convenient location in a dying shopping center. The good location means they take on more customers than they can serve in a reasonable amount of time. The waiting room is always full of unhappy customers. The staff here dont seem to care if you have an appointment or not, theyll waste your time. They take twice-3x as long as they say they will. No explanations, no apologies. They dont care about providing quality service.

Couldnt recommend these guys more! AAA is amazing and these guys are just as awesome. I didnt even have to think about my car repairs, they just really handled everything from beginning to end and had my car ready for me within 4 hours of getting it. They are incredible!!!!Highly highly highly recommend!!

My girlfriend was out of the country on business. While checking things out on her car, I noticed that a brake light was out.Though Im not a member, I called them up and spoke with Justin. He told me to bring her car in and that they would take care of it.When I got there, everyone was just as friendly and courteous as I am. Not to mention, they also replaced the burned out bulb in about 5 minutes.Thanks to Justin, Laine, Glen, and the staff there!Great Job! This was a minor service, however, they were very respectful and quick.

The staff is extremely courteous, knowledgable, and honest. They were a pleasure to interact with during a stressful time with my car.

My car desperately needs various maintenance and preventive repairs done but I have a sour taste in my mouth from here, and I cant decide on another shop to give a try next. Its unfortunate because I have AAA membership and this AAA location is super convenient and operates a courtesy shuttle. I think the actual mechanics are great -- knowledgeable and polite. However I dont think the front desk staff realize what a bad vibe and attitude they emit. Seems like every time I go there the last couple of years theres some spectacle of an argument between the front desk and an unsatisfied customer. Its just not worth getting that (vicariously or directly) irritated first thing in the morning.

The guys at AAA/Glenwood, car care were great. I had gone in cause my 96 Bronco was having issues with to much play in the steering. Glenn provided me with fantastic customer service and Wayne the manager went above and beyond to get this soldier on the road again and back home. My mechanic Eric explained to me step by step why that was happening, and did his best to fix it since I HAD to be on the road that night back to Fort Carson, CO. The guys even stayed later to get the job done for me.I would Highly recommend AAA car care on Glenwood to my friends and also to other soldiers!!! Thanks again guys for all your help, SGT C

Once again the AAA on Glenwood has amazed me. They have outstanding customer service and they are very honest mechanics, which is very hard to say these days. I got my brakes and oil changed and they didnt try to sell me on any unnecessary things. They are simple and to the point. They will only fix what is actually needed and they will communicate with you throughout your entire visit. I feel very comfortable knowing that my car is in good working condition and safe for my family and I. I will never go anywhere else and I would recommend all of my friends and family to this shop for all their car needs. Thank you so much for all your hard work and getting my car back to me in a very timely manner.
