Do yourself a favor if you ever find yourself in the position of needing an interlock device. Do not go to smart start. It is a night and day difference between smart start and monitech. The people at smart start use their position to make peoples lives hell for no reason. Ive heard and experience the horror stories. I am so glad to be with monitech. They were friendly and efficient from the first call. The installer was super nice and did a great job explaining the process to me. This machine is a hassle but monitech gets it done without the power trip.

I have at least gotten a new machine 5 to 6 times and now that it is almost over with I am getting a new one every 2 weeks because it keeps saying hum invalid which I never knew that a hum could be invalid so now I have to keep calling them to come to my car just to get a replacement it’s ridiculous

The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in any kind of business. The equipment is outdated and does not work properly and it when it malfunctions they charge you an additional $45 for a code. They only service NC so if you ever have issues and you are out of state you are out of luck. When you do have a problem expect to be put on hold for 45 minutes or more. No exaggeration!! System will malfunction and leave you on the side of the road. The only positive is the techs that actually work and do installations. They are courteous and understand the frustration when dealing with their awful customer service. As Im writing this review I have been on hold for 57 minutes and 38 seconds to simply change an appointment.

Dr Unisex Salon is the place. Also its the place you dont want to get your hair cut. The barber I was going to was just okay for awhile. Than he just went to ish. I wont be going back there ever.

I understand that this is a mandatory thing for those that have to have it. Im one of them. My problem with the company, as a whole, is owned by politicians that decided to capitalize in this venture. I have met some that have been penalized because of the mistakes made by this company. They were charged, proven that the company made the mistake and yet still had to pay. All because someone is making sure to make their buck. There should be a better system in place to give a refund back if its the companys mistake. I know the vast majority cant be proven and we have to submit to the device itself, but those that have proven it get the same treatment.

My son is stuck with this company and wish he would have read the reviews! My son has followed all rules but they arent making any additional money off him so all the sudden (twice now within a few weeks) the equipment malfunctions and is shut down. He is having to pay a fee in order to get his unit turned back on. This is a truly a scam! A file to the BBB along with a complaint filed with the State is in order!

They have faulty equipment and make you pay for the equipment mistakes. State of NC should Investigate them. The run test says you have 3 min to blow but really only gives you 1:35 ... this scam cost you 35.00 each time .... dont get insurance on ur device because they will find a way for you to still pay for there faulty equipment. DONT USE THIS COMPANY YOU HAVE CHOICES .....
