Absolutely amazing mechanics! Super responsive and helpful. I’ve gone here for several years and can’t believe I haven’t written a review by now. I had an old car that had taken a real beating and had to see them a lot but they were always great. Just got a slightly newer used car and they’ve been no different in how they’ve dealt with it. The owners and staff seriously go above and beyond every time. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else in Raleigh.

Just had Kings go all the way through my 1999 Chevy 2500, and thanks to their attention over the years, its still in the road!This is hands-down, the most attentive, thorough, and reasonable shop Ive ever used . . .Cant recommend them enough.

I submitted my vehicle with a list of known (to me) maladies. KINGS found other issues, and conceptualized future vehicle performance based on whether or not suggested repairs were performed. Never was there any high-pressure to accept any repairs - KINGS is keen to educate. Their approach sounded very factual, unbiased, and devoid of agenda. Whether the customer is familiar with the inner workings of a vehicle, or can’t distinguish between a fuse box and flux capacitor - KINGS staffers will explain the situation in a manner clear to the car owner. I was very happy with KING’S bedside manner and servicing - and the subsequent performance of the repaired vehicle. I will definitely visit KINGS again when the need arises.

These guys are the best... Soon after my move to Raleigh, I went to Kings due to electrical issues and a recommendation from a Raleigh native. As a female from a family FULL of mechanics (all out-of-town), I know a little bit about car maintenance and upkeep, and Im always skeptical taking my vehicle somewhere for more than an oil change. Not only did they treat me with the upmost respect, but they were super transparent in their pricing, prompt with scheduling and service, and made me feel like I was a long-time customer and family friend. Having returned many times since, it is no surprise to me that they have been around as long as they have and came so highly recommended. They certainly have my business and recommendation!

Very professional and very knowledgeable about hybrid engines. They performed maintenance related to the hybrid system that a previous mechanic had overlooked. When I asked about the high price of replacing the spark plugs, they explained the extent of labor required and I was satisfied with their explanation. Very reponsive.

Steve and his team were able to quickly determine source of noise/vibration and replace bad hub on my F-150. Service was great and price was fair.

Everything about the experience was good, the price was shocking. Dropped it off at 8 and I received a text getting me know it was ready around 1030-1045. Picked it up at 12. It is more expensive than the dealership for an oil change so if convenience justifies the means then $75 for a standard oil change may be worth it. I’ll find another option next time that eliminates the $30 labor fee. If you’ve got another item to work on I believe there’s coupons available on site if you spend over $100. I hear a rotation is extra so maybe with that included you may hit the minimum!

Kings was able to take care of an A/C problem within 24 hours of calling. Great service, very knowledgable and prompt.

I went to Kings Automotive for an oil change! They were prompt, friendly, and the pricing was fair. I was able to drop my car off with a key dropbox at night and pick it up the next evening. Once they had my car in the shop they let me know it was due for its 100k mile service. They detailed everything needed, and after looking around online, I came to the conclusion that their pricing for this was also within reason. Im new to the Raleigh area and will definitely be using them moving forward.

Great experience here! I wasnt charged for an inspection for a car that obviously wasnt a good fit to buy. The person who assisted me took the time to give me advice about car buying that I really appreciated. Will definitely be back!

I own a 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid with over 250,000 miles on it. King Auto is a specialist service provider for Hybrid systems and has addressed any issues with my car professionally and at a reasonable price. I feel like I get an honest assessment and guidance from their team and trust they have my best interests in mind at all times.

These guys are wonderful. They did a lot of work on my old cars over the years. Were straight forward and could have taken me on a ride with repairs but when it was time to stop they said so. They told me how much I had put in my car and told me i shouldt put anymore into it. How many places would tell you not to fix your car? It was time to let it go. I asked for tips on buying a new car and was given valuable advice. I cannot not say enough good things about these gentlemen.

I went in for some general repair and my 20-year old pickup seriously feels like brand new again. Running SO much better now... and for a very reasonable price. Great people too... very nice.

I brought my car in for the annual state inspection. I am usually wary of auto shops because, as a female who doesn’t know much about cars, I feel like I am easily taken advantage of and charged for unnecessary services. King’s was polite and prompt and I felt very comfortable bringing my car to them. Due to Covid, they are not allowing customers to wait on their cars, but I was able to drop my car off first thing in the morning and they called me before lunch to let me know it was ready to pick up. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family for any auto services!

BETTER THAN THE DEALERSHIPI spoke with Isaac for the Scheduling of my 07’ Camry. Drop off was easy. Pick-up was ready during the approximate time. I spoke with Steve for what all was being maintained/ repaired. I found him to be very knowledgeable and HELPFUL . It truly felt like he had my best interest in mind. Especially during these times of social distancing both men were very professional and did there absolute best when providing services. They’ve earned my business for the foreseeable future.

As far as I can tell Kings is honest, has fair prices, and keeps the customers best interest at the forefront. Ive been back and forth a lot in the last couple of months for everything from an oil change to a blown head gasket. After the head gasket issue, they fixed a power steering leak without charging me. Ive given them about $3,000 this year, so I am grateful they helped me out when they could.Some people in my life found it suspicious that my car had an issue right after being fixed by them. But the power steering was unrelated to the head gasket. I never thought Kings was being shady or taking advantage of me.UPDATE 1+ YEAR LATER:My car is running great and has not had any issues in the past year.

It is rare to find a mechanic that is so brutally honest that they help save your life and peace of mind. I have brought my previous car (2006 rav4) to Daniel for 3 years and he fixed many issues that other shops could not fix and quickly!The best moment was when the car needed a good bit of work and Daniel sat me down and said he cant in good faith let me put any more money into my car and to seriously consider buying a new car. King’s Auto Service has given me wonderful service each time I’ve visited them! They try very hard to deliver the best possible results and are extremely kind and helpful while doing so.

When my dear 2006 Civic broke down, I had it towed to Kings because they are near my house and were recommended by friends and neighbors (and because Tao Auto, also nearby, recently went out of business). Daniel explained it had a cracked engine block, which was an issue that was recalled or extended by the manufacturers warranty up to 150,000 miles. (Mine had 215,000 miles.) Daniel prepared an estimate to repair the engine block and other items previously on my list. Even though his total was beyond the value of the car, I considered it, since it should be cheaper in the long run than buying another car. That was, until Daniel mentioned the risk associated with this option. If anything were to happen to the car after repairs then Id simply be out luck because even the best insurance wouldnt pay more than its value. I greatly appreciated Daniels good points and objective opinion, despite his business profitability. Theres nothing worse than answering well the wrong question. Im looking forward to another car soon, and will be taking it to Daniel when needed...
