Miss Barbara is amazing. She is very professional. She altered my bridesmaid dress so perfectly also adding built in bra cups inside which is so convenient! When I tried it on I felt beautiful and she made me feel so special. Her wise, warm and welcoming personality is why I will continue to go there if I need any tailoring or alterations in the future. My 8 year daughter also loved Miss Barbaras work she did on her flower girl dress. Both dresses looked amazing!

I first met Barbara when she worked on my best friend’s wedding gown. The top of the gown was all beading and Barbara impressively took each bead off made her adjustments and put everything back just as it was perfectly as before. Her attention to detail and great work made it an easy decision to take my own dress to her for my wedding. She was always so friendly and warm during our appointments with her. She always gave great advice and feedback when I was not sure what to do. You can tell how experienced she is with the advice and instruction she gives you. She truly cares about her customers and always felt that whenever we came in to see her. She also worked on my sister and mother’s dresses for the wedding and they too were please at all the work she did for us. I would recommend Barbara to anyone for any alteration needs no matter how small – or once in a lifetime they may be! Thank you Barbara!

Went once last year and continue to go back. Her work is fantastic and fast! She even made a shirt from scratch for my friend who forgot to order the top of her bridesmaid dress! The bride never knew the difference.

I have been there several times to have new dress shirts and suits altered.Barbara is excellent and can alter anything, as long as she is not told how to do her job, like some nuisance customers like to do.

Simply Barbaras is my go to for any type of alterations. I was a bridesmaid in 3 weddings last year and attended 2 more weddings. I took each and every dress I had to Barbara for any alterations that were needed-- all of them came out perfect.Come June 2018 I took my Wedding dress to another seamstress-- she charged me a lot of money for my alterations and now told me the day before I had to pick it up for last alterations prior to my wedding that it would not be done on the agreed upon date.BARBARA was there again to reassure me that any and all further alterations will be done on time and perfectly. I cant begin to explain how thankful I am to her, her talent, and her amazing customer service. There is no question, I will never use another seamstress.So if your in need of a seamstress with talent and amazing customer service please use Barbara her talent will show and your dress or any clothing done by Barbara will look stunning on you.

Wedding Dress alteration from hell... The policy at Simply Barbaras shop is she either is allowed to finish the job completely or she will undo everything she has done and charge you nothing. This is the situation we found ourselves in. Back zipper had been replaced with corseted back - poorly done - uneven and an additional loop (loops of all different sizes), wrong color ribbon, front bodice trim was wrong color. Barbara stated that the bride had requested the incorrect alterations and even asked someone to read - out loud - what the paper said. Paper stated the correct alteration and that was read out loud. She looked at the invoice for some time and was clearly annoyed that she was wrong.Family came from 2 states to view dress before final fitting so we expected pretty much the finished product with perhaps a few small incidentals for the final fitting and collecting of the dress.We were all feeling a little uncomfortable about the way Barbara reacted to our one criticism up to that point which was that the ribbon of the corset was supposed to be purple and not cream so we decided that since this IS a WEDDING DRESS and we still had time before the wedding we would pay for the work she had done, take the dress elsewhere and all would be well. We asked how much for the work she had done. She stated that the only way the dress was leaving was for her to put it back to way it was when she got it and proceeded to walk up to the dress with a pair of scissors and tried to cut the loops off the dress. REALLY? YUP!In trying to stop her from cutting the dress one family member got between the dress and this woman while we tried to reason with her to please NOT cut the dress as it was apparent that she was truly agitated by our request to collect the dress. She obviously didnt want her alterations of this to be seen by anyone else (i.e.. another seamstress). This is the one and only reason any of the family can fathom as to why Barbara behaved in this manner.Police were called by us - the only way we could leave this establishment with the dress uncut? Was to pay the full amount of the alterations plus $40.00(???) - a total of $400.00 for a dress done incorrectly, unfinished, and uncleaned as this was to happen as part of the monies owed..... WE would need to go to COURT to be refunded because this is now a civil matter - WOW!Brides - ask about her policy before dropping off your dress...
