Quoted price was not honored and cost way more than it should have. Manager was extremely rude right from the start. Also, vehicle had food in it/was dirty. Do not rent from these people, youll be sorry.

I had to think about it after I got home. This morning, I went to pick up a truck I had reserved, and was first in the door when they opened. They said they were in an oversold position, and 5 people were not getting trucks today. However, I was supposed to get one. I checked my watch after I left without a truck - they badgered my for 20 minutes to take their OPTIONAL coverage, which I had declined. I fully understand liability. I also understand the agents and owner receive nice commissions on the insurance coverages they sell. I was told I was committing perjury because I said I had coverage under my insurer. So rather than give them an addition $45 for coverage (would be driving for about an hour total, 20 miles or so), I left. The three people waiting in line were of course going to have to accept the insurance or not get a truck. Quite a well-rehearsed bit they have going on there. Stay away, the rental rate means nothing when they force you to take the optional coverage on top of it. Pay more and take your business elsewhere!

Made a reservation for Thursday 8-26 to Monday 8-31 and there is no reservation under mine or my wife’s name!!!!!!! There are no available trucks and I move out today. Worst company ever.

My family is going on a road trip and wanted to make sure our vehicle could support all of us comfortably. After four weeks of research and worry, we decided to go local and rent at this location.I am extremely satisfied with our experience! We felt that the agent (I wish I knew his name) was attentive and helped us with making sure we got the car that suited our needs; all for a fair price.I will definitely recommend Budget to anyone, especially the Puyallup location!

DO NOT attempt to rent from these people. Had reserved a truck A WEEK in advance. Got there and got a lame excuse that their truck was vandalized. They could not find another truck in the area so we went to U-Haul. U-haul says they here this all the time and in fact knew before we finished the story what we were going to explain.U-Haul got a truck no problem.AGAIN, DO NOT RENT from these people. Budget then charged us $50 for NOTHING. Needless to say we protested this with the bank and will now follow up with a Police Report.

I have rented many large and small trucks from this location and John, the owner has always been helpful and upfront with me. I can’t speak for Budget as a whole, but I have had much cheaper rates, better trucks and good customer service from this location.

Poor customer service. Do not rent from these people. I reserved the car carrier well over in a week in advance I went in the morning picked up the truck to load it and came back, they knew I was coming back to get the car carrier. When I got there it was not there I waited for an hour for it to get there. The truck was diesel, it had very little DEF fuel which I knew nothing about. They told me not to worry about it it should be okay, and a stop about midway and put some in. The truck would not go over 35 miles an hour going through the mountains from Washington to California. The Truck broke down, waited an hour or so to get it fixed, later I got a flat tire on the car carrier, the company made me wait over 8 hours in the desert by myself in 90-degree weather, would no amenities or anything. Needless to say, you can figure out what happened.The manager in this office was very rude and treated me like I was bothering him when he finally arrived with the car carrier.The customer service for this company appears to Joy giving you the runaround. That is why I was left in the desert for over 8 hours.

Returned our truck here after our move. Theres a lot of negative reviews but the process for us was painless. The guy working was awesome and we no problems. Id recommend this place to everyone.

Id like to start by saying that Budget itself has been great; however, this establishment should be avoided.I rented a budget truck from this location to move. Everything seemed OK at first, but when I returned the truck I had all sorts of problems.I picked the truck up on a Saturday morning and returned it at 4:30 that afternoon.The owner of this location assessed a charge to my card of $180.I called him and he admitted to making a mistake and billed me for two days instead of one. He also said the tank was not full, and I was being charge $36 for that.I had filled the tank right before I returned the truck. I told the owner that, and he was very rude and stated he would not remove the charge.I told him I would call Budget Customer Care and have the charge reversed, and he said budget absolutely would not do that.I called Budget Customer Care, and they agreed with me and refunded me $46 of extra charges that were being assessed by this location. They also assured me that the $56 extra day charge would be refunded as well.In summary, Budget has been a great company for me. But this location is not worth visiting.

Overcharged me without merit. At the last minute moved my reservation to the Puyallup location. Caused me to go over miles and I wasnt able to get the truck back in time. Truck was in very poor condition and I had to pull over 2 times as I thought the truck was literally falling apart. Overcharged me on mileage and rental fee. The office staff was unhelpful when I brought these issues to their attention. Very bad experience. Will never rent from this location again.What should have been a $70 transaction ended up being well over $300.

Discounts, drove truck from seattle (Puyallup) to Yuma, no problems. Better than expected gas mileage. Easy turn in at Yuma Budget office .

I attempted to adjust my rental from this company at this location. When I called, it sent me to a call center. I tried to explain to the individual on the line that I wasnt going to be able to pick up the vehicle, but my wife would, he asked for my credit card info. I again, explained that my wife was picking up the moving truck and not me, he said, ok. He then ended the conversation with, make sure the person whose name is on the credit card is present tomorrow....Needless to say, I am beyond frustrated with the customer service (lack thereof) shown by this company. To top things off, they failed to ever show me a receipt with all costs/discounts. The store employee beat around the bush and refused to give me a straight answer. Very shady person working for the store.

On August 12th my husband and I rented a 16ft truck for our cross country move! We took the truck home and after a few tries realized we had unfortunately gotten the wrong size truck for our household. We waited until morning to call and see about getting a larger truck, the guy said all his 26ft trucks were rented and he’d see if he could find us one. We were already now a day behind our move! So we drove over there with the truck and asked if we could just return it because we didn’t have time to wait for a larger truck when U-haul express storage NEXT DOOR! Had several trucks available for us, and at a cheaper cost! The man at Avis was pissed when we asked to return the truck he yelled at my husband because “we no longer wanted to do business with him” which wasn’t exactly the case! We had made an honest mistake and they just weren’t able to get us a larger truck and U-Haul next door could. Save yourself the trouble and just go next door. No customer deserves to be spoken to in the manner my husband was, thankfully customer service let us return the budget truck free of charge and we were able to continue on with our move. Ps. U-Haul express storage offers a military discount!

I can not put into words how mean the receptionist was to me. I called in because they had told me that my reservation for the next morning would not be there and I was confused and upset on how this happened. Not only did Jesse not help me understand but he criticized me and kept saying condescending comments like I do not know how you dont understand something so simple. It was so much I actually cried and after his demeaning comments I could not take it anymore and cancelled the reservation all together. Honestly, I would have been fine picking up the truck at another close location if he hadnt been so cruel.

The worst customer service I have ever received! The man working here is so disrespectful and condescending I would not recommend using this business to anyone! I was charged extra fees because they were closed on New Years Day and did not accept my Dec 31st return even though I have a contract saying I could keep the truck until JAN 1ST!!! I returned my truck EARLY on Dec 31st but due to them not opening until Jan 2nd they charged me for returning it late. Then he had the audacity to say Why would you think we were even open on Jan 1st. Excuse me?!? I booked a reservation if they were not open then that should have been communicated in my contract that I signed! I work retail and we were open on Jan 1st. You do not treat customers this way! I wish I read the reviews first I can see now Im not the only one with this issue!

Guy was extremely rude and acted like he hated his life and his job. My truck had been smoked in and the ashtray was full along with the fact that the truck and windshield was filthy. From now on I will pay the extra 200 to rent from UHaul or anywhere else.

Wrongfully charged over $100 for features and items I never rented. Poor customer service. They just say, sorry, we cant give you your money back. This was the worst vehicle rental experience ever. 0 stars review for stealing from me and leaving me high and dry.

Honestly the person running the front desk was he rudest young man ever! He talked to me like I was an idiot for not having a blue car from USAA on me! I have never been so disappointed in a business ever!! And know is charging us a cancellation fee because I wont apologize for being upset with the way he was talking to me! So completely rude dont do business with them find someone else dont support such crappy business people! I wish I could give them a -star review!

Last night I rented a Budget Truck for my upcoming move from WA state to TX. I had probably one of the worst experiences of my life. This is how it went down. I entered the location and was greeted by the most infuriating human being I have ever met. He was completely condescending the entire time. He started by telling me my insurance would not cover me in the truck. I told him I had checked before I came and I was covered. He continued to argue with me and said there is only one company that covers a moving truck, who is you insurance through so I told him Geico he then said that is not the company, they dont cover moving trucks. So I asked which company does? he replied you didnt say the right name, so I am not going to disclose that information to you. At this point I was incredibly upset over how he was treating me. You dont treat people like that, especially when I am a customer. He continued arguing with my dad over the insurance as I was on the phone with Geico, I asked them to please be quiet and he said to me if you want to talk to me like that I will give your rental truck to someone else, I dont have to rent you this truck. After calling my insurance company I did discover I am covered in a commercial moving truck and so is my dad. Both of us were just in complete shock over this experience and I cant get over how I was treated. Im completely embarrassed for the person associated with this gentleman at Budget of Puyallup.

Be prepared to spend half an hour dealing with insurance bs. You need to fill out a form that says what you insurance will cover when you reject there insurance. Also dont waste your time reserving a truck online. They will just give you whatever they have and tell you to take it or leave it.

Booked online for their 24 foot truck for the 13th of August. Called Budget a week before to confirm my confirmation. It was a go. Went to pick up the truck on the 13th and they did not have it. They claimed it had not been returned from the previous day rental. They only had one truck of that size to rent and nothing to even try to accommidate for that day. I asked them who was going to pay for the crew I had waiting to load. Claimed that it was out of their control. They said that they were looking for another unit in their system and they would call me if one came in. That never happened. No Im sorry call from a manager, nothing. I know its moving season and they will always find someone to rent to. Ill never even think about renting from this service station or any Budget for that matter. They just didnt seem to care as if it was a normal to have upset customers. Pay the extra on miles from their competition. At least you will have a truck!

On hold for 20 min. Guess im gullible for that. Drove to location to find there were no customers inside. Two employees, one of which was on the phone. Then slick, on the phone doesnt try to apologize or even remedy the mistreatment of a potential customer, he cops an attitude. Left w/ no other option but to seek out other means. Do not use this location!!!

We made moving truck reservations 7 days before our move and went to pick up our truck from Budget Puyallup an hour before friends and family were going to be at our house to help. After receiving confirmation and reminders on our reservation were told they didnt have a truck for us even though we reserved it a week before (although they had one on the lot for a one way - they get more money on one ways). Lucky enough for use we found one at U-haul down the road. Budgets site will over book and let you select check out times when they are not even open. Save yourself the hassle if you really need your trunk when you reserved it and rent elsewhere..

Didn’t have a truck for me after I had reservation and they figured out how to make it right by 50% off and getting me a truck even though it was smaller. Lakewood screwed up the reservation and south hill made it right

I rented a car from this location. when I returned it I paid cash. They charged my credit card as well. I did get it straightened out. However it should never have happened in the first place.

LLC that runs the place has no competency for management. They never bring more people to help when they know business will be busy.Always 1 person at the desk to run Avis and Budget Truck. Average wait time just to get your turn in line for help is 30 minutes!
