These people straight up LOST the cremains they were entrusted with returning to a bereaved family! They lost the ashes in the mail and havent made any real, tangible or measurable effort to find and return them.If this is the way you want a business to treat *your* loved ones, by all means - use them. If you want your loved ones to be treated with respect, use anyone BUT these folks.

They lost my grandmother! The most unprofessional business I have seen. The lack of empathy or concern they have for losing my grandmother is sickening. It’s been two days and the problem still hasn’t been fixed. If you want to make sure that you are receiving YOUR loved one... don’t use this business. The receptionist admitted that this is not the first time this has happened either.... WHAT?!? Sounds like a professional game of where’s Waldo. What a joke!

Last year I lost my mother and my husband. I phone call and everything was taken care of. Easy in a time when you cant think. Very helpful. Highly recommended.

My mom had terminal cancer and decided that we should look into Smart Cremation. We met with them and they were personable and caring. We signed up for the basic package. When my mom passed away, they were wonderful. Even tho I had read all the information they gave me, I was a wreck and asked a ton of questions. They were delicate and caring towards me every step of the way. They took great care in reassuring me that they were handling things and communicating with me every step of the way. They day they dropped my moms remains with me, she even sat with me and made sure I was OK.This all transpired in 2011 and 2012 so I dont remember names but I sure do remember that they took EXTRA good care of me in a time when I couldnt find my bootstraps to pull me up with every day.Reading some of the reviews out there, I just wanted to put something else out there to contradict the current reviews.

We signed in Smart Cremation last year, and when I lost my loving husband, Ms. Lorri Denison (Service Manager) took my case right away, and dealt with me with patient and very kind way. She contacted our primary doctor & submit the death certificate to the county, reported IRS, after the cremation, she immediately contacted Punchbowl National Cemetery of Pacific in Honolulu, arrange niche reservation, and shipped his ashes. When everything happed in timely manner, I was still grieving. When I called Honolulu, his ashes were already there for three days. Lorri, I couldnt do without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

No communication about things that need to be done and how they are going to be done. They were supposed inform of delivery and were supposed to hand deliver remains, but instead sent remains through FedEx and didnt inform us when to expect them. I would not want anyone else to experience this kind of complacent detachment.

My Mom and her husband met with Smart Cremation and decided to retain their services for cremation and urns. My Mom recently passed away and Smart Cremation has been great to work with at such an emotional family time.

A month or so ago I went along with a friend to a informational demonstration given by Rayvan Cogburn at a local Bistro in Langley, Wa. Thinking it would be good information and sound preparation for the future, I then set up a meeting with Raygan. We talked, laughed, got to know each other and had a fine old time. I ended up making arrangements for my mother, my father and myself, all with an eye on future need. No rush. No hurry. Right?Time and fate both operate differently, dont they? Four weeks ago, out of a clear blue sky, my healthy, vital, mountain-climbing and bike riding brother took suddenly ill and was gone by the 21st of September. He left without any arrangements, any instructions - without anything. And only me left to pick up the pieces.Thank God Raygan and Connie Swain from Smart Cremation were there to stand beside me and help me do what needed to be done - seamlessly switch my cremation package from me in Washington State to my brother, who had passed in Arizona.Everything was (just as they promised) handled completely for me, allowing me to deal with everything else that was coming my way in my perfect horror storm without the worry of his final disposition.Raygan has been a total rock for me, even offering to clean cat boxes for me (no!) if it would ease my stress, and calling a friend to help me with a flat tire. Really. Who does that kind of thing???Well, Raygan does. When my time comes (and hopefully it will not be for some time) I know that my daughter and son-in-law will be just as well cared for, if not by Raygan, then by Smart Cremation. With humble gratitude,Judi Nyerges
