Absolutely love this shop! The best barbers we know, literally! My husband has gone to a salon a time or two for convenience and we have always had to go back to Maplewood to have them fix it. We will never go to another shop again!! Both barbers do such a fantastic job for my husband and my 4 sons (with all hair styles and textures). We are always happy with their pleasant atmosphere and care for their customers. They take their time and always make sure it’s a job well done, that is definitely worth my time and my $! Thank you Maplewood Barbershop for always doing a great job taking care of the men in my life!

I received a wonderful haircut. I would give it 5 stars, but can’t for the following: parking is extremely limited. The wait time is sometimes well over an hour and nobody greets you upon arrival, therefore nobody tells you how long the wait could potentially be. I’ve waited and left and took my service to another shop multiple times. The quality here is great, but it’s just not something I can burn a whole afternoon waiting for.

I started going to Maplewood Barber shop about a year ago. First, the shops pristine clean interior has all of its original cabinets and sinks from 1927 surrounded by ceiling shelves filled with a great collection of antique and vintage barber collectibles. It couldn’t be more welcoming. But what really makes this place exceptional are the Barbers: Melissa and Angela. They really know their way around a noggin. I’ve got terrible hair - thinning, stick straight, no body, loaded with cowlicks, and it grows in a circle. But no more bad hair for me. Angela won’t dismiss me from her chair till I look GREAT. I have to wait my turn - usually 20 minutes or so but I’ve waited an hour a time or two. It’s worth it and the conversation and neighborly connection is priceless. It’s a slice of Mayberry right around the corner. No glitz. No glam. No corporate shtick. Just a relaxing, satisfying experience and an exceptional haircut. Every time.

Been going here for 3 year and have had superior quality service!! I have been to several other places because of timing and always had to go back to there shop to have it fixed. Both ladies there have had 20 plus years cutting hair and pay close attention to detail. Wonderful Christian ladies that always go above and beyond when its within there own limits. I love you maplewood barbershop you do such a great job even fixing my hair when I decide to go somewhere else.

I cannot explain how much I love this shop. He is excellent barber. I have used so many stylists with him. He works till our satisfaction with look. It’s all with nice music, easy approachable location, nice parking arrangements and justified price.

So I am new to the area and been having a hard time finding a good barber shop. Well today was my lucky day, I found this place and it was wonderful. She was so nice and help full fixed my hair and beard with the skillz of a master. I will be back and please try this place out. Its full of charms and good people.

Great experience. Wonderful barber. She did exactly what she said. Will use her more often for sure. The main Barber took the shop over from her mother when her mother retired. He was very friendly and we had a wonderful conversation while I had my haircut. She did a great job and did exactly what I asked for. She ask questions to verify what I meant when I describe my haircut. There seemed to be a routine loyal clientele that she knew that will came in and was waiting. If youre in the area and need a haircut from a traditional Barber I would say give it a try.

Hubby loves this shop for 2 reasons. 1 for ease of getting in and out for a cut, assuming its not busy because parking can be an issue. And 2, the reasonable price. But, keep in mind the time and day you are going, its across the street from a busy elementary school, dont get caught up in the busyness of school letting out.

Nice small clean place with friendly staff. A good haircut for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I’ve lived in puyallup for a couple months now and have struggled trying to find a place to have my hair cut how I wished. I found this place online it have high rating and good review so why not try it out?. I went in and the lady who cut my hair made sure to communicate with me so she could understand exactly what I wanted and she did! They are sweet and keep you laughing the whole time. I walked out there with a smile and a fresh cut! Can’t wait to go back😀

Best barbershop around! Quality service at an affordable price. I come here every 2 weeks on a Saturday and I enjoy the conversation just as much as I do the great emoyees who work here. Friendly spotwith great haircuts

I had a very interesting experience with this barber. I did some research at home, looking for a barber with good reviews for my son to get his haircut. After finding this place online, we drove for 30 min to go there. It was 3:30 pm in the afternoon. When we get there and walk in, there was 2 ladies in the middle of cutting hair and 2 more customers waiting. The sign on the outside was lighting up saying open, the internet said open until 6pm and when i walked in with my black son to get him a haircut, she suddenly told me she is closed and tired because she already cut a lot of hair today. Mind you Im white and I dont pull the race card often but this clearly felt like a racial move. On top of that she called me honey. Dont honey me, just please be a decent human being and be open when your sign says open.

The staff is wonderful, bit the facilities are lacking. The haircut I got wasnt the best Ive ever had, but Im sure they would have fixed it if I went back. Also, the prices were disproportionate in my opinion. A beard trim cost nearly as much as a haircut.

Melissa knows how to cut a longer beard. Ive been grown this thing for a while and was nervous letting anyone touch my beard. But as soon as I sat down and told her what I was interested in, she said she knew exactly what to do and she did a great job! Fixed all the bad parts, trimed it just right, not too much, perfect! I got 2 compliments while at Costco.

So happy that I found Lisa! Shes awesome and will definitely will be going back! She listened and cut my hair as requested.

Great barbershop. Just got a haircut and beard trim from Angela. Great attention to detail, everything was fantastic. Very friendly little shop, was full of regulars (always a good sign). Only place Ill go in Puyallup.

No acknowledgement when I came in, then she said that she needed a break. As 3 of us sat there she smoked right outside with the door open. Left smelling like a dirty ash tray! Im thankful I didnt have my kids with me.
