I live in Rockledge, FL and received poor advise from a local pool store so I was able to get in contact with the POOL WIZARD at this store, highly recommended by others around here as well, HIS NAME IS TRAVIS, and he helped me over the phone for free over the course of multiple days. Travis told me what chemicals to buy and the quantities to add my pool and explained the chemistry to me because I prefer to learn and understand what I am doing. I did what Travis said after he spent the time explaining it, and my pool went from GREEN to Aqua in no joke 2 hours, it was like MAGIC. The. The following days he chatted with me and told me what to add in order to balance the pool, and literally a day later, my pool looks like the water was harvested from a majestic pond in the Alaskan Mountains with Polar Bears splashing and playing in it. My Mom loves this place. They have way more than just pool stuff. Mom loves the decorations they sell. They have great outdoor dish sets, gorgeous patio furniture, metal wall art, pillows, etc. The service is excellent as well.

Same great prices as all the other Pinch A Penny stores, but the employees have some major attitude.Ive recently bought a new home with a pool and needed a few gallons of chlorine. Being that this was the closest place to purchase some, I stopped by to pick some up. I walked inside and as soon as the employee behind the desk saw me, he took off in the opposite direction. I glanced over at the second desk and another employee was busy eating and talking to a friend/customer and didnt even bother to acknowledge my existence.Not wanting to interrupt his lunch/dinner/snack I waited patiently in the front of the store in plain sight for someone to help me. I then saw another employee standing on the other side of the store, so I started walking towards him in an effort to get some help. He too saw me coming and got on his cell phone before I could get a word out. He casually walked past me, then outside, bypassing a woman trying to lug in 4 empty chlorine containers by herself.Finally after 5 minutes of chasing after employees and standing there like a fool in the middle of the store, having every employee that worked there ignore me, I left without making any purchase.I then traveled to the Pinch A Penny in Port Charlotte where they helped me right away and even answered a stupid question I had about my new pool. The Pinch A Penny in Punta Gorda made me feel very unwelcome and if you ask me, the employees seem angry and resentful that customers even bother them.

Thomas does a great job cleaning our pool. He is extremely nice and keeps the pool perfect.

These guys are great at helping their customers. I learned two new things on my last trip to the store. 1. The main drain needs the skimmer basket to be in the right position to work and 2. A variable speed pump motor can save me about $600./yr over a standard pump motor.

Ray and his family are very helpful. They are new owners for the store as of about 8 months ago. Staff is really helpful and have taken a lot of time explaining things to me, a new pool owner.
