So thankful for the help AGS gave my son. Treating mental health with love, kindness, structure, and respect was exactly what my son needed. My son went from unable to get out of bed, feeling bad about himself, and struggling with school, to having self respect, self esteem, straight As, and learning to cope with his anxiety and depression. It was truly a lifesaver for our family. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking for help for their child or loved one. They truly have the child as priority. Thank you for all you did for Matt.
I was at affinity for about one year. Had an OK experience but my therapist Mandi, completely ghosted me for the last couple of weeks and I haven’t been able to get a hold of her since.
When I was a teenager, I came to Affinity as a client. I was severely depressed and unwilling to accept help. I thought I was past saving. The staff and management at Affinity changed this for me by showing me kindness and patience. They taught me to follow my dreams and believed in me when nobody else did. After attending multiple mental health agencies, I can say with complete confidence that this facility is the reason I started to get better.Affinity’s program incorporates a bunch of different activities to help you. These include DBT and coping mechanisms, physical exercise, stress relief yoga, equine therapy, and more. We would often spend time doing DBT and learning how to cope with emotions, and then we would go out and do something in the community which helped us not to isolate ourselves. We occasionally watched inspirational movies or videos which encouraged and motivated us. I always felt that even the owners and management knew me personally and deeply cared about my welfare. I am so glad that this amazing place exists and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, effective mental health program.
They were able to help my daughter with her homework, which was good. The problem was the other kids in the program were a very bad influence on her. Not a good environment for a child with an anxiety disorder. It is more of a place for troubled youth.
Workers are hot in a car with no Air conditioner functioning making the workers close to getting a heat stroke, while having to watch the clients to ensure theyre doing their job in a place with no shade to keep the sun off of them.
