Best auto repair shop ever. The owner fixed my broken car 3 times for free. I tried to make him take some cash but he just wouldnt take it. I trust then with all my cars. Just try them once, youll be sold like me.

These guys are just the best auto shop. I had some unknown problems with my car that took some testing and diagnostics to figure out. They helped me every step of the way, kept me in the loop and helped inform me of what was happening. I wont let anyone else work on my car.

Larsen’s is definitely the best auto shop in the valley hands down. We have some decent auto repair shops closer to where we live but we will always drive the little extra to Provo to have Larsen’s take care of our cars. They are quick, efficient, and amazing communicators. They explain what’s going on with your car in detail. I don’t know squat about cars so it’s all greek to me but I appreciate their efforts for transparency and communication! 10/10 would recommend!

Second time at Larsens and I love this shop. I went in for two things:1. Grinding brakes. Figured Id need new brakes and possibly new rotors. They looked and told me the brakes and rotors are fine I just had a ton of brake DUST. They cleaned it all up. Very honest.2. Revving sound from the engine. The guy just hopped in the car with me and said to show him. It was very subtle and in the end he said he didnt think it was anything to worry about. Also very honest.Places charge an arm and a leg for diagnostics. When really I just needed someone to hop in the car and hear what I was hearing. Very professional shop.

I took my 2006 Acura to Larsen Auto for annual emission inspection and mentioned my brakes might need replacing. After checking the brakes I was told the brakes could go at least till the next emission test. Very honest people.

This shop is great. I was told by another mechanic I had to get some work done on my car. When I took it to Larsens they opened it up and said it would be fine for another year or so. Super honorable people and they understand students are on a tight budget, vs doing unnecessary work! I will definitely be going back to them for any future work on my car.

Larsen’s is the best auto repair out there. I have used them 3 times, on 3 different cars. Each time they are fast, and I never feel over charged. I feel like they’re one of the few honest auto repair places out there. The last time I used them, I lost my wedding ring down the defroster vent. I was convinced I would never see it again, but they got it out and my car put back together in less than an hour- without charging me an arm and a leg. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

So for mechanics I don’t usually do reviews cause I always feel screwed by them. I didn’t feel this way about Larsen’s at all. Their attention to detail was incredible. They told meWhen my car would be finished and they met their time line while going above and beyond with what they did. My check engine light is still on but that’s not their fault, and I’ll be taking it back for them to diagnose further than the dealership did. So yeah thank you! Their 4.9* isn’t an exaggeration at all. They’re legit.

I have taken my car here a couple times now and they are wonderful. They communicate well, are very kind and fair with their pricing. When something can be fixed easily they have told me not to worry about paying for it and I appreciate that they are honest and caring. They always do an incredible job. I have taken my 2013 Jetta VW in MULTIPLE times to get this issue fixed. My issue being the blower motor/fuse blows causing no heater/AC to work... Larsens Auto always fixes it and it breaks a month or two after. Im tired of having to repay for parts or service that doesnt last. Going to try Clegg auto next for hopeful better service. And before they say you never came to our shop look up my old phone number. Youll find me in your logs. I have receipts too for proof :)

I was missing trim pieces on my vehicle and replacing them seemed hopeless after realizing the factory clips were damaged and I had tried multiple adhesives. I showed up for my appointment and not only did they take it on time and install them but they did it free of charge! Honest no BS these guys are my new go to!

Awesome experience with Larsens Auto Repair. I took in my 2004 Honda Civic that had a check light on and wouldnt start and they had it fixed in no time. While they were working on the main problem they even offered to fix another general maintenance problem for cost of parts only since they had already done the labor of getting in there for my check engine light problem. 10/10 would recommend.

To put it simply, I was treated extremely kindly last time I went, and the work was done super fast.However, the time before--a year or so ago--I felt I was talked down to repeatedly by a middle-aged female (blonde?) receptionist. Sarcasm and condescension was dripping out every time she talked. Despite that humiliation, the mechanics at the time gave me a very fair price and did great service. I therefore refrained from leaving a poor review at the time because I wanted to return to benefit from the mechanics efficient and quality work without it being awkward.Luckily, the receptionist from last year was gone this time, and the employees who helped me were incredibly kind and didnt have an ounce of condescension when addressing me, despite my typical ignorant questions (which makes me an easy target). I really appreciate that. I wasnt charged for extraneous repairs either and I had my car back the day after I dropped it off. Im glad to finally feel comfortable to leave a 5-star review

After today, i wont take my car anywhere else. Long story short, because i tend to ramble, they sent out a guy to help jump my car since i lived close to their shop, and when that didnt work they put a tow rope on it and hauled it so i wouldnt have to pay a tow company. They fit me into their super busy schedule, had a part delivered from slc, and got it installed and fixed for me by the close of the day so i wouldnt have to pay for a rental car. After i paid my bill i asked the receptionist who the awesome mechanic was who had been helping me all day, and she told me his name was Terry, the OWNER of the shop. That right there gets my business for life. Thank you so much for your wonderful service!!! Ill be back.

Terry is truly a master of his craft. He immediately understands the potential issues and educates me every time I have a car problem(s). He and his team do excellent work, his pricing is better than all others Ive priced out and is given upfront before the work is performed. He doesnt upsell me on unnecessary work and gives genuine recommendations for other work to anticipate down the road as well as improvements for safety, etc. Whether that work is for him or others to do doesnt matter because Terry simply cares about his customers. Thats why for the past 10+ years I always end up taking my cars to Terry Larson. Its worth the extra half hour drive for the piece of mind to know the right work is done, that its done right, and at the best price.

I had my car towed to Larsen’s after hearing good things about them. Larsen’s told me they were pretty busy and didn’t know if they would be able to get my car in for a few days. They got to it the day after I dropped it off and finished it the next morning. I only had to be without my car 1 full day. I am so impressed with the service I received from Larsen’s! I failed emissions and had a smoke test done at a different repair shop; they said fixing the problem would require a ~$500 repair. I do trust that repair shop but, based on what a couple other mechanics said over the phone, thought there was a chance the problem could be fixed by replacing a different part. I gathered estimates from eight or ten other repair shops in Provo and, even with running their own diagnostic/smoke test (which cost half of what the other shop charged, by the way), the final cost of the repair at Larsens would have been about the same as or less than every other estimate. So I decided to go with Larsens and they got my part ordered and my car into the shop within a couple days.HUGE bonus: turns out they have a policy of running their own diagnostics for a reason! Rather than making the repair based on what the other shop told me, they found that they could fix it by replacing something else. They saved me fully $200. Plus, they were able to run emissions and get me registered and legal to drive right away, even though I was a little late coming back to the shop and they were closing for the weekend. Im so glad I went to Larsens and will definitely be going back.

This is our Go-To car repair shop. These guys are quick to get you in, you arent charged a penny until you are diagnosed and presented with a repair plan and pricing. We havent found anyone who beats their pricing and quality! They work until you are satisfied and even then some. Theyve even got some toys in the waiting room and a TV with lots of show selections, my kids love to tag along to the Monkey Car shop! Also, they have reccommendations for electrical repairs or any car problem they cant fix, which is very few!

My wife and I always go to Larsens. Not on my have they given us a fair price, but they have been honest every time. If they feel our car doesn’t need repair at the moment they have expressed that to us. I would strongly encourage anybody looking for a reliable mechanic to go to Larsens.

I would give them a 5 star rating because they are honest and do a good job, but the last time we went in to get our car checked, the guy who test drove it must have smoked because our car stunk until we rolled down the windows. Note: he didnt smoke in the car, but must have smoked recently before.

These guys are incredible. Ive got a POS 93 GMC and Larsons have kept her running for 4 solid years. Their service is quick, they communicate before any work is done and they will try and save you as much as they can WITHOUT cutting corners. Cant recommend more highly.

Larsens is such a good deal and do such incredible work that I continue to find I owe them more with each passing visit. They replaced my head gasket when my engine overheated for far cheaper than anywhere else would have and did great work every time I came in for an oil change.When a different car had a major coolant problem, they replaced my radiator and heating coil and flushed the system many times at no extra charge, fixing the problem such that it hasnt resurfaced since. Despite having moved a couple towns away, I continue to bring my car to them when I need a job done right or if it is plausible at all to go there. They still get most of my oil changes and all my emissions visits.

I do all of my own mechanic work and I often laugh at the lies, misguidance and lack of knowledge that most mechanics and auto part store clerks have. These guys know their stuff and know how to treat customers.My sisters Jeep did not pass safety because the brakes were shot. I didnt have enough time off from work to fix it for her, so we left it with the kind folks at Larsens. Then the owners wife drove us back to my truck because it was going to take a few hours! Really pleased with these guys. Saw the 5-star reviews and almost couldnt believe it, but they truly live up to their reputation. I had taken my car to a different shop in Provo for a safety and emissions test on my Camry, and they quoted me $1700 to get the car back into good shape and pass the test. I then took the safety and emissions test to Larsens and they did it all for $550! I was given great, speedy and affordable service, and they even ended up doing extra stuff they hadnt seen originally that they discovered later, and instead of charging me for the labor, only charged me for the part, which was super cheap. I feel confident that they did great work, and I felt like they were just real and honest with me, which in the auto industry is just refreshing.

I have used this business several times for a variety of services. I usually arrange to drop my vehicle off early, on my way to my first meeting of the day and then pick it up later at a time they have specified. They have always been completely punctual and helpful in all of the work they have performed for me. The mechanic here was excellent! He was very honest and did not overcharge us for the car repair work needed. We also asked him to replace the transition fluid if it was needed and he took a look at it and told us that it didnt need to be replaced and that he wouldnt charge us for checking it. What an honest guy. I would go back to this repair shot anytime.

Im at a loss for wanting to put more stars on here. They were super helpful when our family car was acting up. It was expensive to fix, but a fair price for what they had to do. So, I brought my truck in when the brakes went bad. They had it ready by the next day! Then things went south.I noticed a wobble to my steering wheel at 30 mph when I was driving it home, and from 40 to 50 mph it felt like my tires were about to fall off. I didnt even get 2 miles before I called them and said I was bringing it back. They told me upon returning, Oh ya, your tire is real bad, we should have told you. I pressed the issue and assured them that I had driven to AZ in the truck the week before and there was no way it was driving like this before they changed the brakes and rotors.I was told that they had no way of knowing that, they never drove the truck before the repair, and that it seemed like I was just trying to take advantage of them so they would fix a pre-existing problem for free. I was dumbstruck at the accusation, and I told them they could talk to any one of the people who had been in the truck with me. They still said it was the bad tire. I kept pressing and said I no longer felt safe driving the truck. So they took off the offending wheel and tried another in its place, same problem. The boss even asked, Does it even sit right on the new rotor, and one of the workers said, Not really, and that it had not when they released it back they me. But they thought it was the bad tire. So bad tire became bad rotor (the new one they had just put in). Then they realized that the rotors werent bad, they were just the wrong rotors. They had put 4 wheel drive rotors on my 2 wheel drive truck! Then they blamed the lady up front for putting my truck information in wrong.I will give them credit that they did get the correct rotors delivered quickly, and replaced them quickly. However, it seemed like a pretty egregious error that they installed the wrong part, that they knew that it didnt fit, and didnt bother to tell me about it. I had to figure it out for myself when my truck started playing poltergeist as I tried to reach 50mph. Then to accuse me of trying to take advantage of their business and get something fixed for free.They didnt even say sorry. Will I go back? Maybe. But Ive got a sour taste in my mouth.

We took our car to Toyota when it was having some trouble and they quoted us nearly $8,000. We took it to Larsens and they were so nice and quoted less than half of that to fix the same thing. Staff are great and easy to work with.

My car was showing an emissions problem. They told me it might be my gas cap and to try replacing that before doing anything else. That cleared the problem and saved me a ton of money. I have been going to the Larsens for the past 4-5 years. During this period I have changed cars quite a bit and they have serviced all of them with great professionalism and quality work. They have often gone out of their way to take me to work and pick me up afterwards when they needed more time to diagnose/work on my cars. Larsen automotive is a great place for automotive repair needs. They have always given me the lowest estimate on repairs and have always been very friendly and accommodating. I wouldnt say its same day service, they usually take 2 or 3 days to fix the problem.

Loved our experience here! I took my car to a different mechanic and they told me they needed to replace the whole cooling system for about $600. I decided to take my car to Larsens to get a second opinion. They replaced my belts and fixed a few small things for less than $250. Nothing was wrong with the cooling system and my car works like a charm. On top of all that, they were really friendly and fast. Ill keep coming here for my automotive needs.

It is so critical to have a Mechanic you can trust who also does good work. I had never herd or knew this place existed until I came across a website to purchase a discounted gift certificate for a safety and emission test. I am impressed even tho they are a really small shop they offer really quick service, the owner terry looks like a great person. I am impressed they have a perfect score on Google which rarely many auto repair shops have. I would definitely check back with them if I need a car repair there prices are really cheap too compare to the rest.

I have never been to a auto-mechanic that was more open to me about what was necessary and what wasnt. They also have very fair pricing for oil changes and really what ever you need.

Terry and everyone else down at Larsens are amazing. I dislike getting my car fixed just like anyone else, but they are so easy to work with, are extremely knowledgeable, and their pricing is the absolute best in Provo. They are a hidden gem and a true family business.

AMAZING!!I was looking to buy a car and took it in for them to check it out. They squeezed me in their busy schedule and then walked me around to car to point everything out. They were straight forward about the repairs and gave me a quote for everything. I think they could tell I was disappointed and on the way out they told me not to worry about paying for the inspection. Wow!

Loved my experience there. I actually sat and listened as they called places trying to get me better prices on the parts I needed for my car. They take the trouble of explaining whats going on with your car and why its having the problems its having. And they even opened up a little early so that I could bring my car in because they were already booked up for the day, not that we should make a habit of making them do that but theyre just very accommodating. And theyre really friendly to boot. Ill use them for as long as I live nearby.

I had a great experience with these guys. I procrastinated renewing my registration, which required safety and emissions tests, until a few days before the due date. I found a Valpak coupon for them online that had them quite cheaper than any other place in the area. When I called them up they were packed full of appointments but moved things around a bit so that they could take care of me before my registration expired. Great service, great price!

Ive dealt with so many different mechanics and auto services in the past and no one comes close (well, maybe a couple are close, but theyre not in Utah) to Larsens Auto. The owner, Terry, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. You will not get BSed or swindled by these guys. As far as costs are concerned, I would give them 4/10 (with 1 being cheapest costs and 10 being most expensive), so their costs are just a little bit cheaper than average. But that is nothing compared to finally having an auto-shop that I trust.Quick small personal story. Without getting into the details, several years ago my old car was having issues where it died while idling, but it was an intermittent, not consistent issue. When Larsens looked at it, they were pretty certain they fixed the issue (replaced a part), but not 100% sure since it wasnt a consistent issue to begin with. So instead of charging me and just hoping it was fixed, they told me to drive it around for a week and if the problem went away to come back in and pay for it. They didnt want me to pay until they were 100% sure they had fixed my car. The fact that they put that level of trust into me as the customer just makes me give them that same level of trust.
