Ive been going to Doug for a while now, and have never been disappointed. He is not a salesman nor a customer service representative; hes a mechanic. And a darn good one at that.Personally, I prefer a good, hard-working, fast, honest mechanic like Doug to a pretty face or schmoozy voice that will overcharge and under-deliver.What I love about Doug is that he wont fix a ton of stuff that doesnt need fixing - hell fix what needs to be fixed. Great prices, honest work. Hell give you a heads up about what might be needed next/soon as well.Doug knows his stuff.The only drawback is that these days hes often so busy that its hard to get your car in to him immediately!

My go to place, doesnt work on bmw but always fair prices, always reliable work, never had to take a car in for the same issue twice with him. Always thorough and get what you expect. Which is amazing if youve been anywhere multiple times for same issue. Sometimes a bit longer as hes mostly a one man show but always worth the wait. Right next to cemetery in provo.

Our family has gone to Doug for many years. He isnt the most talkative guy, but he does excellent work! We trust him completely, hes very reasonably priced, and hes fast. We couldnt ask for more. If you want a job well done, go to Doug. Hes busy, but always gets us in. Well be sad when he retires because its so hard to find a mechanic you can trust!

I had work done here when I lived here a few years ago. Its a simple shop with a simple mechanic. Dont expect red carpet treatment, glossy counters, or even much conversation; go to a franchised shop for that. Doug just gets his work done. Correctly. My experience was that he solved my problem completely and when he said he would. The thing I respect most about his business is that he wouldnt even take my vehicle until he was sure hed have time to devote to it. In other words, no run-around, no delays, no wondering.

Not only is the owner the best mechanic, but an awesome person as well.

The most honest mechanic Ive ever met

Dougs Auto is great. I have 91 CRX Si that I care about dearly. It wasnt running right and so I took it down for them to take a look at it. They looked at it for free and then called me and suggested a tune up. The tune up was $75 bux and my car has been running GREAT!Great, honest people and a great, honest small business.

I had heard very good reviews about Dougs shop. I walked up, Doug didnt even say hi to me as I entered the office. They told me the price of the oil change which then I set up my appointment for the next week (pretty booked). When I got my oil change, they charged me $5 more than they told me it would cost with nothing extra that they did (or at least that they told me) and they said they topped off my car fluids. The next day, I opened my hood to get work done on my car by another mechanic (they were cheaper than Dougs) and there were absolutely no fluids in the car.Im sure theyre great but I was not impressed. I plan to go back speak with them about the two issues I had.

Doug is amazing! He is honest and does amazing work! He is fast at what he does. I tired as well to tip doug but he will not take the money. Goes out of his way to make sure everything is right! Go to doug you will not be disappointed.

My wife called in to get a quote to fix our vans AC. He very rudely told her that he was to busy and she needed to call back in a few hours and then maybe he would have time to look that up for her, and then hung up. He runs a business and that was very rude and unprofessional. He lost our business and any future business. Well definitely tell others to stay clear as he obviously couldn’t care less.

I dont think there is anyone cheaper, faster or more honest when it comes to cars. Fixing cars in general stresses me out but I like going to Doug because he is so straightforward, detailed and thorough.

Dougs Auto is a place that you would want to bring your car to if you are looking for honest high quality work on your vehicle. I do not trust my cars and vans with anyone else.

I could not be more impressed with Doug. I had a very messy problem with the clutch in my car. I was upset to even have to go back to the mechanics in the first place since I had replaced the same part a little more than a year ago. However, I was referred to his shop through a friend who told me Doug was an honest, cheap and hard working mechanic. Doug went out of his way to find out why the clutch had gone out so fast and after spending a ton of time researching it, he found out that the clutch that the last guys had put in actually was the wrong one. According to specs, it should have worked, but after reading a lot of reviews and doing a lot of research he found out that this is a very common problem for my particular car and that clutch, and that even though it fits and will work, it will burn out again after a short period of time. He ordered the correct one and gave me as big a discount that he could on all the parts that he had to order since it is already a fairly expensive job. He made sure to walk me through every little thing that he did, including showing me the broken parts and explaining why they were broken so that I knew I wasnt being cheated at all. Overall, it was an incredible experience with Doug. I will never go anywhere else.
