When I read these reviews I was devastated. This has never been my experience with Laura at all. I’ve gone to her for myself, as well as for my child for years and then on and off. Her style might not be for everyone. I like the professional confrontation and cognitive challenging she uses to help clients see their problems through a different lens. I will also say, the majority of these reviews appear to be clients who have been mandated to see a clinician for an assessment or for ongoing counseling per court order, or by recommendation from a child welfare agency when a parent loses custody of their child, or perhaps when abuse or neglect are suspected. Of course these reviews are biased. How does one share an objective review about someone if they feel forced to attend? Those reviews automatically are negative no matter who the therapist is. I’d rather be questioned, processed, clinically critiqued, and then have it all handed back to me so I can look at who I am again. Therapy isn’t easy. If you’re looking for someone soft, gentle, and kind then that’s not therapy! What you’re looking for is a cup of coffee with a friend. Laura is insightful, thought-provoking, challenging, and empathic. These are the qualities of an exceptional therapist.

License should be revoked she failed an 11 yr old child in an abuse case

These comments are deeply concerning and I can relate to the harm that she is causing to families from what it looks like two different states. The families confessions of Laura Ryan mishandling their children are real and current and I am also suffering from the same mishandling. In my opinion, she is also paid to play by a handful of well-known attorneys who are involved in a custody scam in the Rhode Island Family Court but does anyone really care. I will pray for your family please pray for mine.

I had her for over 6 years as a child. She is horrible and vindictive. She doesn’t care about helping anyone and would constantly argue with and scream at me. I still have trauma from this woman. I was literally assaulted in her office once and she told me it was my fault!!!! This woman is horrible.

Went to Laura Ryan to try to communicate in a better way with my 14 y son. This woman has done nothing in communicating my concerns vice versa with my son. Was supposed to be a meeting with my son one with me, and thn both of us together. She’s just milking money away it’s been 6 meetings with just my son.Laura says my son doesn’t want a me in the meeting . Hello?! I reach out for help for you to facilitate this for my child and I.

RUN from this woman!!! I am not sure how she keeps her license! She is a bully and behaves extremely unprofessionally! The worst “therapist” ever!!! Extremely toxic and biased. Her opinions are formed before you even walk in her door! She does more harm than good! Read all of the terrible reviews on LAURA Ryan. They are all true!!!

She is apart of the problem with the attack on great fathers. Dcyf, family court, and her are all in bed together; out to make money off people needing help with issues and their kids. I was paying 60 dollar co-pays as well as almost getting sucked into paying a seperate 2000 for her report. Insurance companies dont cover her report because like the many of us its common sense, its a scam. To rip people off 2000 for a piece of paper that probably took all of 4-5 hours to make is totally absurd, much like her therapy practices. Its very clear even after reading some of the reviews that she definitely has a thing against strong fathers who raise their kids without any help. At first she put on this nice gal routine but that didnt last long. After the second visit the true colors septed out. Turned into this man hater looking to seek revenge for the guy that probably broke her heart. She tried to steer the conversations her way to meet her needs. For someone that came so highly recommended, Im greatly dissatisfied and appalled in level of disrespect. She wasted two visits with my son having him play a board game while she did other work. Folks if you are in need of actual care for your child and the courts or dcyf recommend herUnderstand that its all about money. They are all out to make money off your problems. Not even worth 1 star...good luck

She is the worst. Tears families apart, is condescending, rude, talks over you, rolls her eyes in judgement. Starts arguments with each parent. Should’ve read the other reviews on Google and Healthsource before letting her into our lives.

Laura Ryan should work inintegration not as a counselor she told my child she was stupid and yelled at her made her cry because she wouldn’t agree with Laura
