We were introduced just after the pandemic started, and even though it took a while to find a role for me, it was one with great pay that fit my skills and experience perfectly. This temp agency is completely unprofessional!! They bated me for weeks by telling me I have this great job opportunity with great pay and five minutes away from my house. They advise me to QUIT my former job several times and I do put in my letter of resignation, only for Faye to tell me that I no longer have the job lined up and to get on my hands and knees and BEG for my former job back. The company that I was going to temp for was so dissatisfied and disgusted with their decision that he personally reached out to me to still offer me the position which I gladly excepted. DO NOT go through this temp agency they will bait you for weeks get you to put your two weeks in, or QUIT like what they did to me and drop you, not worth it.

They have been able to match me with my current job at CVS that is turning into a permanent job. When I called to let them know, they could not be more than happy for me. I highly recommend them. And if I ever need them or know someone that is looking for a temp job, I will always call them first.

Excellent staffing agency! As I recent graduate, I had been in the workforce but couldnt find my fit. I was very quickly matched with a position that aligned perfectly with my skill set, and I could not be happier! AJ and his team were very friendly and accommodating to my goals.

In 2017, I worked with Faye and her team twice. The first time Faye got me an interview for a fantastic job. I even had a second interview but another person was chosen for that position. Several months later I found myself looking for another job and the first person I called was Faye. She got me an interview with another fantastic company and this time I did get the job. I called Faye the second time I found myself unemployed for this reason - she was the only person at an agency that actually sent me out on an interview for not one, but two excellent positions. If you are out of work, dont call any other agency - just call Silverman McGovern because they deliver! The best outcome is that after four months working as a temp with this company they offered me the permanent position and I couldnt be happier. Working with Faye and her team for four months, I never had a problem with my pay and they were there to help if I had any problems. Do not hesitate to call this company if you are looking for work, they really care.

I was looking to explore new opportunities through Silverman McGovern. They had told me of a few positions that would match what I do with a higher salary. I didnt want to leave my current job until I had been hired somewhere else. It turned out Faye had called the owner of where I work to inquire what I was like as an employee. In this conversation, the owner learned I was looking for work elsewhere. I was fired at the end of the day. The two positions never materialized. So much for trust and professionalism with Silverman McGovern.

I have been with SM for almost a year now and have not had any luck yet. My contact found me a couple potential positions, put me through and that was it. I currently work with several other Staffing Agencies and this one is by far the worst one. As far as Im concerned they are supposed to contact you with a position to see if its something youd like, and if it is, they will introduce you to the client. You can say no anytime you want. You are never pressured to say yes to any of these clients. I said no thank you to a previous position... My contact kept telling me that I should take the position/phone call, that it would be such a great role for me, that accepting this would guarantee me at other XYZ Companies and that it wasnt far from my home at all...only 12 miles from the city to be exact Then I look up the company and its 1.5 hours away...So I finally took the call for the phone interview only to find out its a toy company no one has ever heard of and it would be a project by project/only when needed basis. So again, I said no thank you to my contact at Silverman McGovern..and it stopped there.Not once since then have I been contacted to see how Im doing, or to even follow up with any positions. I emailed SEVERAL times to reach out and follow up on upcoming roles...but yet again, NO RESPONSE!!! The other 4 or 5 other agencies that Im with will literally call you several times a day to follow up with you and let you know of certain positions that would be a fit. They will send you countless emails for positions....Silverman McGovern is such a WASTE OF TIME! They dont help you, they dont offer their services, and they dont even seem to care to see you succeed in placing a role for you.Dont waste your time.. There are plenty of other Agencies to go with.

I honestly just started working with Silverman McGovern a few weeks ago and I was just hired for a great temp position at the specific company that I wanted to work for. I have interacted with four people on their team and each person actually took the time to get a sense of who I was as a PERSON and what I wanted to do - and then they each did everything that they could to help me actualize it.I walked in simply looking for a chance, an opportunity, to prove that I was more than what my resume said on paper. I wanted a chance to stop being defined by circumstances (and bills!) and to start working on MY path at a great company. Silverman not only facilitated that, but actually CARED about what that meant to me.They put me in position to deliver and also went above and beyond to make sure that I was prepared and equipped to do so. They are everything that they say they are and I am very much looking forward to what we can accomplish from here.

Silverman McGovern worked really hard to find the right placement for me. I moved from out of state and this was the second agency that I approached. The first agency seemed frustrated with me that I didnt want to take temporary administrative placements - I was also working as a bartender during this time. That was a big turn off because Id been up front about that from the beginning. I would not have hesitated to temp through Silverman McGovern if I didnt have the bartending job, partly because Faye and Alona at Silverman McGovern understood and agreed with my plan to wait for the right opportunity that was a fit with my skills, salary range, and career goals. That built a lot of trust, quickly. They brought several opportunities to my attention throughout the course of a year and Im thankful that even when I went dark, they would reach out to me with new postings. Faye and Alona are very organized and take a critical approach to the postings. I was not getting notified of postings that were outside of what I was looking for. Id also like to highlight the value of my initial in-person meetings with Alona and Faye. They gave incredibly valuable feedback on the language and organization of my resume. I was looking to possibly relocate to Providence, Rhode Island and applied with Silverman McGovern to see about potential opportunities. When I went in for my interview, I was treated in an incredibly courteous and friendly manner and was seen right away by a recruiter (A.J.) that had been assigned to me.After speaking with him I then spoke with Faye about opportunities in the Providence area. Both Faye and A.J. were unbelievably kind and professional and had offers for me that matched my skill set. Ultimately, I decided to relocate elsewhere, but was offered good luck on my job search from Faye and was left with a great impression of this agency. I cannot recommend them enough, they are terrific!

If I could give Silverman McGovern a higher rating than 5 stars, I would. I came to Silverman McGovern as a new graduate, a little discouraged with the previous interviews I had been on for positions I knew I wouldnt be happy in. I was referred to Faye by my mother who reached out to Faye shortly after we moved to RI from NY. Faye placed her in a position with a reputable company and to this day, my mom still works happily for that same company. When I met Faye, I told her how discouraged I had become after post-grad during my job search and what my expectations for future employment were and she did everything possible to set that in motion. With the assistance of AJ, the team placed me in 3 different positions within the same company until finally, after a year and a half of contracting, I accepted a full-time offer with the same company I had been contracting with. I cannot thank Faye, AJ, and the team at Silverman McGovern enough for the hard work and dedication that they have provided me over the last year and a half. Furthermore, Im beyond grateful for the team for believing in me and never letting me feel like I wasnt enough, despite how discouraged I was starting out.
