Im giving it a four star rating because of the teachers they have for their group classes. If I were rating the front desk, it would be a two star review. It doesnt seem to matter which of the three centers you go to, the front desk staff are more interested in talking to themselves than acknowledging you as a customer. However, the teachers are great and go out of their way to make the classes fun and helpful.
This is a one-stop shop for your gym needs - the staff is friendly and helpful, the trainers are experienced and knowledgeable, and they offer a wide variety of great classes and programs. While they arent as large of a network as some of the other chain gyms, the personal touch makes up for it and your membership at this location grants you access to their other locations as well if you want a service not provided here (hot yoga and a pool).I came to this gym after some surgeries and physical therapy, and my trainer Jamie knew exactly what modifications were needed to prevent reinjury. She worked out a suitable program with my physical therapist and helped me jump start my recovery. If you just want a gym membership to have a tag on your keys so people think you exercise, this isnt the place - go to one of the cheap franchise chains. But if you plan to actually attend and want a place that offers great service, has a wide range of amenities, will take an active interest in you and your health, and treat you like a member of an extended family - this is the place to go.
I am picky about my gym. Having a gym I like is very important to me, because I actually WANT to be there and I am at the gym pretty much daily. This gym has become my home away from home. All of the staff are always so welcoming and kind. They make me feel like part of the team. Even the manager Chris goes out of his way to say hello, give a smile and make me feel welcome, so often the managers of an establishment are busy, but he always makes time to at least smile and wave and let all the guests know he cares. I can not imagine working out anywhere else! Thank you PEAK Post Falls for being so amazing!
I have been a member of Peak for nearly 15 years. I have found the staff to be exceptionally affable, congenial and accommodating. I have a special appreciation and gratitude toward the cleaning crew. I have forged many long-lasting friendships as a member there while trying to maintain a salubrious lifestyle. Thank you Peak for your laudable service!
Great gym I just feel the pricing is a little high.
I love writing positive reviews for businesses however, this is not one of those opportunities. My trouble with Peak started a year and a half ago and has continued. I have tried to appreciate your efforts but you have failed me time and time again. This began with a mysterious charge on a debit card I had not used in years. I learned that Peak had recently updated their billing system and in that lost my prepayment of the term of the contract. They found it prudent to go through my account and charge a debit card that I enrolled with YEARS prior. I had to dispute that transaction with the bank and even after providing proof of prepayment to Peak I was threatened with a collection agency. (I was 7 months pregnant and not thrilled) The owner called to apologize afterwards which I thought was super sweet (I did not ask for a call but did appreciate the hospitality). I understand, things happen. That was not end of it and the issues continue to present day- I have been attending almost daily now for months. Somehow, my account was flagged TODAY and this forced me to get held up at the front desk again. I was told that my account was not in their system. After rounds of questioning, I was delayed enough to miss my scheduled class time. You have to fight to get into this class and I was looking forward to this all weekend! Im so upset that this keeps happening. The classes and instructors are absolutely amazing! I really want to like you. How can a corporation have relentless issues like this?
HORRIBLE customer service from Chris when trying to cancel a membership. A woman over the phone gave one price, Chris gave another price in person and then gave a WHOLE LOT of attitude. But boy oh boy was he our best buddy when we signed up! THIS is the stereotypical gym atmosphere we regret signing up for and will most certainly be taking our business elsewhere.
Awesome facility and staff! Jennifer is awesome and people are very friendly! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because there’s a teenage girl who works here that’s always on her phone and ignoring people who need help. All of the other staff is very professional though!
Friendly fast service and everything you would be looking for in a fitness center
Amazing staff is great, just as clean and professional as any gym around. I cant say enough about how professional this place is. No lines, classes, sauna upstairs cardio huge free weight area and almost equally as big of a resistance area. Bravo Peak Fitness Postfalls!
This is a great gym! The staff is friendly. The facilities are clean. Members definitely respect the gym and create a comfortable environment for a workout. One thing that stands out right away is how few people you see with noise cancelling headphones... Old school. Its not like your typical zombieland gym where everybody avoids eye contact in their own little bubbles. People even smile :) The layout with multiple floors and zones for different types of exercise makes it possible to find your own little niche even during the busy times. Busy times at Post Falls dont even come close to some gyms though.
Went to my first pump class in years. It was great..
Great service, friendly people! Peak has a little of everything and is suited to almost any needs! I have been to a few different gyms and finally landed on peak!! It has everything, it’s clean and it’s stays up to date on its equipment!
15 years of patronage ended recently on a %50 increase in punch card fees from last year. I dont know any business that can get away with that kind of increase.Other than that, a pretty decent place with occasional maintenance issues, as can be expected.Reply to owner:Thanks for the reply. However, as I understand it from my recent visit regarding this issue, an option is a conversion to membership status at, presumably, some discount.Im not interested in a membership as I dont use the facility during the summer months, and the punch card option was the only answer, or, of course, paying the $12 fee as a walk-in, which seems excessive as well.An increase of %50 on punch card fees looks a lot like an attempt to rid, or convert, the punch carders to memberships, again presumably, as a benefit to the business. So that cannot work for me as previously stated. This is an exercise of simply running the numbers, and it no longer makes economic sense for me to pay the unreasonably excessive increase. I have employed other options for my fitness. Fifteen years just walked out the door.
My second gym in the area and Im impressed with the great equipment, friendly staff, even the people are more laid back here. I dont have the intimidation I was dealing with at my old overcrowded gym where I was waiting around to use the equipment during weekday mornings. Very pleased!
Just checking price for membership, found them to be pricy on comparison
Overpriced, Overrated, Poor Customer Service
I love the friendly faces and continual improvements at Peak. Chris does an excellent job as manager of the PF location.
Peak fitness is a ckean, well equipped gym, with squat racks, bench press. And several cable weight stations. They also have a variety of classes and ample cardio machines. A big thumbs up!!
The staff is always courteous and helpful. The gym is always clean. But for what they charge per month you would think they could afford to maintain the equipment a little bit. They have frayed cables and some of the pulley machines feel like theyve never been maintained and might break or get stuck if you keep using it. If you live in post falls Id look in to other gyms in the area.
Facility is nice and equipment is regularly maintained, Unfortunately most of the clientele fail to wipe down machines and free weights. Come early to watch people sit on machines and talk on their phones, leave greasy sweat marks and spit loogies on the floor ....FUN TIMES.
I have always been leery of joining a gym. My first experience with a gym was terrible.I joined the Peak and I love it. Front desk staff are very nice. Jammie (trainer ) she is awesome. Im so glad I joined. Its worth it.
Pictures do not do justice to this fitness center. The staff is amazingly friendly. All the equipment is in good working order and clean. The daycare is well managed.
I thought this place looks great. Its 5 star potential but they need more main level bathrooms. MAC physical therapy upstairs is second to none.
My rating would be much higher if based on the beginning of our experience with Peak. We were told at some point by one of the employees that cancellation would require a 30-day written notice but if there were medical reasons, it would be immediate. We had to cancel for medical reasons--need to find a facility with disability access to their pool.Their semantics do not match my semantics. Immediate to me would mean that the cancellation would take effect then and not require the 30-day wait. No, that is not true. Still have the 30-day wait. Never mind that we cant afford the fees for 2 facilities in the same month so am unable to find a new gym right now.
Love it!
I go to this gym for MAC Physical Therapy, so I dont actually work out here. Staff never says hello or goodbye, no greetings whatsoever. Plus, the place looks a little run down. The KROC is a much, much better facility.
One of the best staff of Physical Therapy
Very clean, nice equipment. Classes are taught by incredible instructors. 💖
I, like the people who have reviewed them before me, would have rated them high if based just on the beginning experience. The facility is decent and the equipment is nice with variety and excess-ability.HOWEVER, the reason for the low score is the complete lack of customer service (especially from the woman named HEIDI) and how completely and udderly rude 90% of the employees are. Not all of them but most of them. Very few greet you at the door, most just glare at you for interrupting their conversations they are have with their coworkers. When I asked for a towel from these workers, I was glared at as a towel is tossed on the counter. They like to find loop holes in the contract to make you continue to pay for the contract. When I called to say I was moving to the Northside in the next couple of months, I was told that I had to be moving 25 miles away from the Liberty Lake center or they wont cancel, so they expect you to drive 22 miles to use the gym. Beyond ridiculous. If they had better customer service and did ANYTHING to make me feel welcome, I would probably make the effort to stay but, instead, I will be cancelling regardless of the move due to the outrageously horrible treatment that I have witnessed and experienced.
Good gym. Pretty well equipped. Good helpful staff. So far very helpful staff!
Huge, clean facility. The staff at post falls was enthusiastic and helpful. Average price for local gyms, am def glad we switched.
Best gym
Hot sometimes upstairs, and busy from 5-7, but everything you need for a good workout, boys and girls
Great classes in morning to get the blood flowing... Great instructors
Just stared back at the gym and the front desk people are so nice and motivating
Friendly staff, Awesome equipment, My Favorite gym to workout in!!
Better gyms to pick from i was not impressed
Dont do it. Horrible management that holds you to slave agreement/contracts. Dont move town without getting finalizeed ending of your contact.... In hand all around bad business practices!
I have my membership here, but I dont care for the layout. It feels broken up, and if I want to work out my core I have to go to different parts of the building for different machines.
Staff is friendly and equipment is always available
Peak is always consistently good, whether its the staff, classes, or equipment, I know Ill have a good experience.
Nice people. Helped me get on the right track!
Excellent healthclu . Very competitive prices
I am a member with Peak fitness. If you are considering a membership here, make sure you seriously look at the services and benefits of a membership with this fitness company. They do not invest a great deal of money back into this business. There really isnt a great deal of competition for good all around fitness centers in Coeur dAlene, Post Falls, or Spokane for that matter. If this network of fitness centers were in Boise, Seattle, Portland it wouldnt be able to remotely compete for business when considering its membership dues in relationship to the facilities. This company is seriously overpriced. Service from most employees isnt much of a priority. The membership people are very friendly to get you signed up. Its a different story afterwards. They have completed targeted remodels at the Coeur dAlene location, however if someone didnt specifically tell you that or you were not already aware it wouldnt be obvious to you at all. Think cheap. Unfortunately there isnt a real competitor unless you consider the Kroc center in Coeur dAlene.
Great coustomer service, abundance of classes, lots of equipment.
Improved gym and equipment. More space.
Friendly staff and a very clean workout facility. Couldnt be more happy about this establishment.
Poorc service and over priced as well as crowded. Disappointed.
