Our appointment was for 1:00 and we didn’t get seated until 1:40. I showed my lady a picture of the nails I wanted and she said she could do it no problem. What she did looked nothing like the picture I had shown her. In total, it costed $100, for something I could have done myself.

I went to this salon to get a fill for my nails - I brought my boyfriend who wanted to get a pedicure. My nail tech was amazing and did a great job. Unfortunately, the woman who did the pedicure on my boyfriend was extremely unprofessional and made us both uncomfortable. During the appointment she explained to my boyfriend that she had an “ONLY FANS” account. Then at the checkout she called him a “sugar daddy” in front of us. It made us extremely uncomfortable and it was embarrassing. I’ve never written a bad review for any company but I was stunned and horrified. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional.

Very disappointing. I had an 11:00 appointment and was not sat until after 12:00 with no explanation. Less than 24 hours after my appointment the polish has come off and would rub on anything I touched (nail shown in picture). I called again less than 24 hours after my original appointment to get it fixed and they do not schedule fixes. I asked the woman on the phone if I could come in and have it fixed sometime between 11:20-1:00 for the one nail (I have to get to work at 1:30). She told me to come in on a day that I have nothing else to do. I should not have to put aside an entire day to wait to fix one nail that they messed up. I have never left a poor review on anything before but this whole experience was very frustrating and I would never go back here again.

Mai Nails cannot be beat in this area. The place is impeccably clean - they use sterilized tools and they thoroughly clean after each client. It is beautifully decorated with a clean, simple, modern aesthetic. Did I mention clean? They are fully staffed with very talented technicians, so walk-ins are quickly accommodated. Every single time I go they give my nails the right amount of attention and they always come out great. I highly recommend them!

This is a great salon. I’ve been fortunate enough to have Kim for my last two manicures and she has done the best job I’ve ever had! The biggest downside of this salon is the wait time, even if you make an appointment! It’s not the salon’s fault if employees call out sick and they’re short staffed, so, bring your patience.

Hands down the best nail salon around. Ive had nothing but bad luck with NH nails salons, to the point I was driving an hour to MA just for nail appointments for over two years. I gave this nail salon a try and Im so happy that I did. Never once have I left here dissatisfied. And I cant speak for everyone but from what Ive seen, everyones nails always look so good when Im in the salon.Helen does my nails and shes such a perfectionist and handles me with much care. I Really recommend this nail salon!

I’ve gone to every nail salon on the seacoast and look for professionalism in the manicure itself AND in the customer experience. Sad to say that this was one of the best and most diligent gel manicures I’ve EVER gotten but the attitudes on the receptionists is why I’m rating it 3/5 stars - and that’s being nice. If you go, expect to get up and down looks, no eye contact and behind the back smirks. These girls only run the front desk, at least have some customer service experience. I won’t be going back unfortunately, or if I do I’ll make sure to get decked out, bring my nicest Birkin bag and a $100 bill

Mia Spa & Nails is exceptional! Kim and her staff are #1 with the best service and professionalism. The Spa is beautiful and very clean and I will not go anywhere else for a manicure or pedicure. My new favorite is the ombre French. Try it, you will not be disappointed!

My nails are the perfect shape, length, basically flawless. I don’t often get my nails done so I don’t know what to ask for and because of that I’m not usually super happy with them but today I can’t stop staring at my nails. I walked in without an appointment and they were able to take me right away. I highly recommend this nail salon.

My review is long overdue! I got married on 3/13 in New Hampshire and my bridesmaids and I needed to get our nails done the day before the wedding. Being from MA, we did not know any nail salons in the area and my maid of honor picked out this place. I was blown away! Kim did my nails (she knew how to do the ombre nails in my inspo pic.) I really appreciated her because she was so busy that day and in between other clients, but squeezed me in because she was the one who knew how to do this kind of nail design. I got SO many compliments (the perfect wedding nails) and the nails lasted me on my tropical honeymoon and well after the wedding. I also got a gel pedi that lasted as well.I recommend this place to anyone, but especially to brides looking for the ombre nails! Thank you!!!!

Kim is a nail genius. I’ve been to many other nail salons who don’t listen to what you want, rush, and don’t make sure you’re happy. Kim remembers me and knows what I like, has been able to knock any design I ask her for out of the park, and I always leave satisfied with not only the quality of work, but the price. The spa is always clean and the staff is always polite and accommodating. Best nail salon in Portsmouth, for sure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Worst gel manicure I’ve ever gotten. They’re so focused on rushing you in and out of the door, I had nail filing debris cured into my polish, clearly missed spots, and horrible nail art. Never coming back.

Kim and all staff are really great! Friendly and knowledgeable. The salon is kept very clean. They do such a great job. Kim is great at designs and very skilled at french manicures of all color combinations. I do gel and acrylic and have also gotten pedicures here. I am a regular customer now after trying a few salons in the area from moving earlier in the year. I would go as far as to say they are the best in town.

Wonderful nail salon and spa. Went with my daughter; tips and dip, and pedis for both of us. Kim does amazing ombré nails! 🤩 The staff is amazing, friendly, and accommodating. Kim is the sweetest! The staff takes great pride, in creating a total ‘experience’. It’s feels like a refreshing vacation! Clean and beautiful salon, both before and after Covid. Absolutely love this place! I’ve been looking for a decent nail salon forever and this is the place! Covid cautious, temp checks upon arrival, and the color selection is spectacular!! I always have one of the men (I can’t remember his name) as my nail tech and he’s amazing! He’s funny, talks and he does an amazing job!! I can’t recommend this place enough!

I got a gel polish manicure and the actual application was good, but once my nails where done my tech filed my nails naturally. But she filed them so hard, she filed my skin and I had open cuts under my nails for a week before they finally scabbed. It was very painful and not the first time this has happened. My boyfriend already had paid and tipped her otherwise I wouldnt have left a tip. And probably wont be coming back. 💯

Kim is the only nail tech I have gone to for the past 4 years, as ever since my first set of nails I’ve gotten done from her I have refused to go to anybody else. Her level of professionalism is far surpassed any other nail salon owner I’ve seen. She is by far the best nail tech in the area, and all of her work is impeccable. Whenever someone asks me where to get their nails done I always say this salon! The salon is so beautiful and clean, her and her staff are so caring and welcoming, and the work that comes from this salon is beyond amazing, especially for the price. You cannot find anywhere better in the area!

The gel nails are very poorly made, they have no patience in fixing there mistakes either. The top part of the gel is dry, when you peel it off the bottom of your nail is still wet from the nail polish

RUDEST customer service I’ve EVER encountered. Was not greeted, asked to pick a color, OR offered a seat for my lengthy wait for no service preformed. Had an appointment, HALF an hour and counting of waiting, after said appointment time, decided to leave. While my wait, heard many people complaining of services provided. Very unprofessional, unorganized and not covid cautious.

Worst eyebrow wax of my life. Also the women at the front desk tried to steal an extra $20 from me. Don’t go here. Very disappointed.

Twice now I’ve made appointments for Kim. Twice she’s tossed me off to Jessica. She’s rude and does a terrible job! She was laughing at my nails which she did last time I visited! Ripped my old dip polish off and didn’t soak them off and left caked on dip all over my fingertips and under my nails... horrible job and I will NOT be returning.

This used to be my favorite place. At my last appointment, they soaked my nails in acetone, and removed a beautiful and strong set of nails. There was nothing wrong with them except needing a fill and color change. My nails did not hold up with what they put on after. They felt weakened. They broke and hurt for the first time since I began going there. I asked why my nails had to be soaked off, I have never experienced this before. Nor did it make sense. Why destroy something that was not broken. Today’s appointment again they proceeded to soak and dried out my hands in acetone for 45 min. My hands burned and hurt. Left my hands and nails dried out, raw and rough. Never asked me if I was ok. At that point, I was so uncomfortable, I asked to remove all the product from my nails. Left scratch marks, cut my cuticles poorly, nails filed poorly. Wanted to put a clear over my nails to cover this up. At which point, I wanted to leave. She told me I was done, asked me to wash my hands. Proceeded to charge me $25 for poor workmanship. That is wrong. In the past, I always paid, tipped well and remained loyal. I budget for this service and look forward to it. I never complained. I asked for my nails to be made right, that is my right to ask as a paying customer. However, it did not matter. They do what they want and did not care. I’m still trying to figure out why so much disrespect. I still have cotton and dip powder stuck to my nails, my hands still burning as I sit here writing this review. Ruined my day and feel taken for granted. Thank you for making me feel uncared for as a customer. No excuse for this. Any reply to this I hope shows accountability and making things right.UPDATE:In response to owner. There is no need to remove a product that is working. I waited patiently. I am not sure what you are talking about. I sat quietly as you proceeded to all work on me. I was left to sit in your waiting area dripping out of foils acetone onto everything, including my own belongings with many tables open. Why? You never took my safety into your concern with over exposure to acetone. You may have your procedures, however you are unwilling to listen to your customers. You instead proceed to argue. You treated a very good customer with disrespect, whom now regretfully recommended people to your business. I can also decide how much I want to get my nails done and it is false, my nails were strong. Your assistant removed them before you even looked at them. I was actually happy with them, and I asked why remove them. Did it occur to you to ask if I was happy with them prior to removing them? No you did not. As I said before, my nails are ruined, and dried out my hands unnecessarily with a toxic chemical. As for discussing this in front of everyone in your shop is treated with indifference on your part because you are defensive. No one dares to say anything. If a customer is unhappy you do the right thing. My hands are still irritated, I will be seeing my doctor for acetone exposure. I have also documented this with photos which will speak for themselves. Why would I stay to continue anymore services, when you intended on losing me as a customer. How you decided to handle this is on you. Best of luck treating people this way.

I love this place! Ive found my new favorite nail salon in Portsmouth. They where sanitizing everything from sinks to door handles when I was there. I got a gel manicure and it came out so pretty!! Plus they do a little hand massage when they put lotion on ur hands. I feel so pretty now

I’m so glad I chose this nail salon for my first tome back since the pandemic! They were constantly cleaning and sanitizing, very organized, clean, fair prices, and customer service was incredible! Tina was my nail tech and Emily was my husbands, they were both SO AMAZING. The gentleman in the front checking people in was very strict about the COVID guidelines and takes everyone’s temperature upon arrival. Thank you!

I have usually have a positive experience here but went in at 6:30pm, there last appointment of the night, and felt like the guy was rushing the entire time to get out of there. I wasn’t too pleased with the shape of my nails and the polish was all over the place. Whenever I come in the past though i’ve had a positive experience so this was a bummer.

The absolute worst manicure I have ever gotten. I usually get gel but wanted to try dip- I ended up having to come back 2 times and they still couldn’t get it right. My nails were thick and bumpy had a residue on them. After being there almost 2 hours combined I finally got my money back. I will never return. I wish I could post the pictures under this complaint.
