I purchased a mower at the start of my landscaping career from them at $6000.00 or so. I had brought the mower to them at least seven times over the life of the mower for service. The engine blew up due to a dirty/faulty air filter, which failed and allowed the engine to ingest dust and dirt. They said because I didn’t specifically ask them to change it, they didn’t, and it’s my fault for not requesting it. I just started my business and don’t know much about mowers. I trusted them to check the things they know are crucial and make a suggestion maybe. had to stop mowing and lose all my clients at about 80 hrs on the machine. Talked to the boss who said if we go to court he’ll explain how they gave me an owners manual. And it’s not there problem.

Turf Depot has impressed me. Every time I speak with them or go into the store, they are friendly. They are able to work with a network to get parts and products for customers. I have shopped the other stores nearby as well. Turf Depot has always been my last stop. They will now be my first stop. They do things the right way.

I had a perfect experience with Turf Depot in Portsmouth, NH. I had them do preventive maintenance on my 22 Toro walk-behind mower that would start, but wouldnt continue to run. They were responsive to my needs, quick to turn the job around, and the workmanship was exceptional. My mower is back to the performance it had when we bought it 7 years ago.The price was reasonable, too.I should add that Im not certain but I believe the touched up the red paint on the mower deck. I didnt expect this, but it looks great!

Last Thursday I went into the shop looking for a carburetor for my Cub Cadet snowblower, I was told that they didnt have one but would have it there the next day from their store in Salem. Not the end of the world, so I paid for it in full and waited for my call.....I called Friday afternoon, no parts...here it is Monday and its still not there and its snowing. I will never rely on this company ever again.

I had purchased a Cub Cadet Snow Blower from another vendor. When I had issues with my snow blower I called Turf Depot in Portsmouth and the Manager Chris and his staff were so welcoming and agreed to look at it for free. I was so impressed with the great quality of service and knowledgeable technicians who had indicated issues with it, I brought the snow blower back to the other vendor and purchased one at Turf Depot. I will recommend Turf Depot of Portsmouth for all of your snow blower and lawn mower needs. Thank you team at Turf Depot, you are the best.

Sorry to say but don’t use these folks. I dropped off my snow blower they changed my carburetor. Afterwards the engine continued to backfire. All I was told was they all do that and there is water in the gas. I had another shop diagnose the problem and I asked for a refund given they had to again replace the carburetor They said I needed to provide them with the old parts. It would have been nice if they owned their mistake instead of trying to make me jump through hoops.

Very disappointed in the customers service and workmanship. For two years in a row I brought in my snowblower to have annual maint. done to be prepared for the Winter. Both in 2018 and 2019, when the first storms came, my snowblower would not start. I was told maybe its bad gas and you need a new carburetor, this was in 2018 and had to go back in yet again, more money. When I went in two days ago Dec 2nd, I received the same message, maybe its bad gas or the fuel valve may be shut off. First the gas came from a very reputable station in both years and the gas valve was turned on. The gas was put in the day of the storm. Both years they charged me to have maint. performed and take no responsibility for their shoddy work. I bought a new snowblower that day at another vendor and will never be going back to Turf Depot.

Disappointed two times: first event was getting a chain saw sharpened. The chain was absolutely ruined, but they claimed it was done right. Strike one. Second time was a relatively new snowblower with an oil leak. They never found the problem but I was charged $50 for putting air in a tire and adjusting the skids. When I questioned the person behind the counter I was disappointed in his attitude. Apparently this is the way they do business. I am doing my best to tell everyone I know to stay away. I hope they enjoy the $50 and potentially lose lots of customers.

Bought a top of the line Ariens Platinum 30 snowblower. Used it for one season, ALWAYS using non-ethanol fuel. Wouldnt start the second season, and they charged me an arm and a leg, telling me it was bad fuel. No way it was bad fuel.

Zero turn lawnmower repair nightmare. Leak in transmission, I was told hairline crack replaced wrong side, tech lied, blamed me that I told him which side, never did. Replaced front wheel which rattled worse than the old one, forgot bushing. Replaced blades with wrong size, to small so that first cut had a 2 inch uncut space between the three blades. Out $1000. They have no idea what their doing.

I called to check on two parts that I needed for my snowblower. The gentleman asked me the numbers and I told him the first one he said he had it in stock, I gave him the second number and he said he had that one in stock. I asked for the pricing on both parts and he asked me what the first part number was again, I gave it to him and he quoted the prices. I told him I would come in to get both parts. He asked me to once again to repeat the first part number, time number 3, and if I had purchased from them before. I told him I had purchased through Boston lawnmower and if they had that information I would be in their system, it was verified that we were in the system and he was putting in the order for the two parts so they would be on the counter on hold for me when I got there. But guess what he had to ask me that first part number one more time! Have you ever heard of paper and pen? When I arrived at the store one gentleman was on the phone another one was helping another customer and there was a woman standing behind the counter texting on her cell phone. I stood around looking at things on the wall and other items right in front of the desk until finally she blurted out, can I help you. I told her my name and what I had waiting for me. She retrieve the items then asked me who I spoke to on the phone and mention two names, I told her that I did not remember. Her demeanor was curt and unfriendly and in a manner of which I would not want to go back there and deal with those people ever again! A dead fish had more personality! There are a lot of lawn more dealers on the seacoast and its not hard to find another one!
