The VIP folks were incredibly helpful. They identified the problem quickly, and made the correct recommendation. If I lived around here, I would be a regular here, for everything. These folks are honest and helpful, and incredibly empathetic. I cant say how much we appreciated them!

I popped over to see if they were able to squeeze me in for a quick oil change. They took my keys and had my car in and out in 30 min. Very quick friendly service I will defiantly be sending friends and family.

Sank 5000.00 dollars into a car and none of the issues have been taken care of. I have been scammed by this establishment and will never use another VIP store again.Edit:This VIP wanted to charge me roughly 900 dollars to replace front brakes and calipers. Took the vehicle to another garage and they said the front brakes are fine and just need a new bearing. Im convinced its all crooked mechanics at this VIP. Please do not go through all the time and money I wasted at this shop.

Just shared a review and it should have posted as one star not 4 stars.They canceled my appointment once and nobody showed up for my 2nd appointment. Terrible service and I would recommend that you stay away. And that is after I purchased 4 tires at at $650 +.Nobody called to even cancel my 2nd appointment. The person at the counter said and I quote: Nobody here. Stay away!

Kat was absolutely phenomenal! She was able to take the time to fit me right in and get me taken care of because she wanted me to be safe in the snow. Not only did she squeeze me in 20 minutes before close for some tires but she took the time to bring me to my vehicle and show me what was going on (front brakes and fluid) and explain in full detail how everything works and what it’s purpose is. I’ve never had an experience quite like that. The fact that she had the knowledge to explain everything was outstanding. I will return for all my services on mine and my wife’s vehicles! I went to VIP because it was close to my house and I was overdue for an inspection sticker. I was never expecting a free inspection sticker! Totally made my day. What was more impressive than the free sticker was the friendly customer service. Rob was a pleasure to chat with. He ran out to my car to check my mileage (because I can never remember!) while I stayed nice and warm inside. The 2 service techs that passed by me, both offered a friendly greeting. I will be going back to VIP for any future car needs!

Recently had state inspection done at no cost because Im a veteran! Nice that VIP honors vets in this way. Been going to the Portsmouth location for a few years now and have always been pleased with the customer service at the desk. Last couple of times I found things slipping a bit. Ron the manager is pleasant enough but, he speaks very low and with an accent making it difficult to understand him. Thats compounded by wearing a COVID mask. He also doesnt project a warm welcome feeling. I stood at the counter (no one else around) and waited while he finished up some paperwork on the computer. Just when I thought he was done because he printed it out, lined up the pages, stapled them then filed them somewhere under the counter he did the same thing again with a different invoice/work order. Several minutes later he finally acknowledged me. Hello?....customer first. Paper work can wait. I arrived on time for my appointment so not like I was a walk in. I asked that the air pressure in the tires be checked because I had a low pressure warning light showing. Didnt get done. I took care of it myself the next day. Nothing major with the experiences but, I got used to superior customer service from the previous managers. Will probably go back with adjusted expectations. Oh, one last thing. I watched the technician pull the car out of the bay when the work was done. Sat in the customer lounge for probably 7 or 8 minutes expecting Ron/Rob? to come in and let me know everything was all set. BTW I was the only customer there. Finally got up and went out to the counter and he was on the phone with someone. Took a minute before he grabbed my paper work and keys and handed them to me while still on the phone. I think he said have a good day but, not sure due to the aforementioned communication issues.

I needed a last minute inspection and VIP squeezed me in and were great! They were all friendly and helpful and I was truly grateful!

We love VIP in Portsmouth! The staff is always genuine, pleasant and helpful. We have never felt over-charged and never felt that we were encouraged to perform unnecessary services. When we go to VIP, we feel confident that no one is going to try to take advantage of us. Their service is truly exceptional.

The customer service is excellent. I asked the gentleman who checked me in whether during my oil change a food stain on my passenger seat could be removed/cleaned. At first, the gentleman told me, We dont really do that. Within 10 seconds, however, he changed his mind, and told me that he would take care of it himself. He did. One warning: if you are planning on working remotely from the waiting area and require good cell reception and wifi in order to do so, then be prepared to be frustrated. Both the cell reception and wifi are lousy, the former so much so that I could not even circumvent the lousy wifi with my hotspot.

Bought tires and ran into a bunch of issues at another shop. Had my BMW towed to VIP for tire service and everything was handled perfectly. Should have came here first. Highly recommend.

I have been here several times and always gotten the best service! Showed up yesterday w/a tire that was rapidly going flat (it was Saturday afternoon). The lady at the service desk said they would fit me in as soon as they could. Did I have to wait? You bet - but, hey, I was just a walk in so I expected that. Everyone at that business is personable and professional and a pleasure to deal with. My tire was fixed and I was home rather than standing by the side of the road waiting for a tow! And it was FREE because I have AAA. VIP Tires and Service is always my first choice when I need something they can do!

Rob the manager always greets with a smile and takes good care of our vechicles. Kat does a great job as well.We love Josu the mechanic to work on our vechicles.

I have been doing business with VIP Portsmouth for over 10 years. I always get treated with respect and professionalism. The service is prompt and reliable and their pricing is fair and competitive . I recommend them highly and give particular credit to Mike Long the Assistant Service Manager. While I was waiting for a quote on tires today, he interrupted his attention to my needs and attended on an individual in the service area who had some disabilities and was in some distress. He treated him with kindness and concern. That was a very positive reflection of his character and in turn on the business he represents. These are difficult times and this simple act of kindness needs to be acknowledged.

I went in for an oil change today and worked with a fellow named Mike. Mike was very cordial and professional. He pointed out that sometime during the next six months or so, I may need new tires and front brakes. These guys are the best. I was just about to get on the road for a six hour drive home when my radiator blew. On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Only two and a half hours before closing time. With two cars already up on the lifts. And yet Rob and Alex made it their business to fix my car and get me and my daughters safely back on the road that afternoon, even staying late to do it. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, impeccable customer service. Can’t thank them enough.

Went well, as always. Best deal around on tires for my one ton Ford. Best part is the lifetime balance, rotation and alignment warranty i bought along with them. I brought my Lexus to VIP in Portsmouth because I did my research and they had good reviews. I wont let just anyone work on my car, and it seems like trusty good mechanics are hard to find nowadays. VIP was able to save me $$$ on replacing my TPMS sensor vs Lexus dealership. Also went with the lifetime alignment which is the best deal around especially for AWD. Would have given 5* but I had to come back because the 1st TPMS sensor wasnt working with my Lexus but the 2nd one worked fine. I also noticed that the tire that had the sensor replaced wasnt rotated because I also asked for my tires to be balanced and rotated. The people at the desk were friendly as well :)

Made an appointment for 3:00 for new tires and an oil change. Two days later I show up for appointment, wait over a half hour just to speak to someone because there was only one person at the desk and he was on the phone the whole time. Then he tells me the tires I ordered arent in stock....I told the girl on the phone when I made appointment that I wanted an oil change too, then I told this guy at the desk oil change too....they didnt do it. Luckily I was angry enough that they upgraded me to a better tire for the same price, but I didnt get out of there until just before closing time so basically 2 hrs. 45 min. - still no oil change. I paid with a $150 gift card and the balance on my debit card. When I check bank account next day....they charged the 150 to my debit card also. Where in the F is my gift card....I have called - they are looking into it OMFG - trust me when I say....take your vehicle anywhere else!

I scheduled an appointment online a couple of days ago to get my tires looked at and they still couldn’t fit me in for a couple of hours after the scheduled start time. Seems like whoever runs the website doesn’t work with the in store scheduling system.I also got addressed after another customer who got there after me.

Appointment was for 11 AM & the car was rolling into the service bay at 10:59 AM which almost never happens. Expensive repair but a fair price per Auto MD website & competitor across the street. Highly recommended.

I went to Portsmouth location for inspection and new tires. The entire experience was great, the manager is terrific. The worst was when the young man came out with my keys, wearing no mask- he’d just been in MY car. Not only is he uninformed or maybe he doesn’t care about others by not wearing a mask. When your servicing my car without a mask- now we have a problem.

I was there to change out my winter tires for summer tires which I have done for many years now. The manager and technician came to me in the waiting room to let me know there was a problem. They could not put on the summer tires because they were too old. I asked if they could put the winter tires back on and they said those were older then the summer tires. I thought for a moment, then decided that my safety is what they were talking about, and the safety of those around me on the road. I decided to get new all season tires, instead of changing out every year, and they gave me a great deal because of my situation. Mike was very informative, helpful, and got me a great deal on good tires. Thank you. I did go online afterwards to check this information and it was true what they said. Kudos to Mike and his technician.

VIP in Portsmouth is one of the best places to go for anything car related. I have lots of car trouble and have been to many other garages and I chose to stick with VIP in Portsmouth because the people they have working there are amazing. Never have I ever experienced better customer service. They make sure my car is well taken care of and are always willing to answer my questions. I recently had a very expensive repair done there. VIP was able to do the repair for less than what other places were asking and my car runs beautifully! Thank you Portsmouth VIP!

I have been there couple of times. VIP guys are really good and do not try to make money out of everything. They advised me for my brakes that it does not require any fix and it really saved me lots of money which I would have spent if gone to other garage.Robert ( store manager) is really good and helpful.

I have been to the Portsmouth location of VIP for most of our cars maintenance/ state inspection and always ask for Rob.He is super helpful, always a delight to talk to and does not try to oversell you something that you do not need. I would certainly recommend this store as well as Rob for all auto needs.

I had an appointment there yesterday for an oil change and tire rotation. I was taken right away and shown where I could wait while the service was being done. It was clean and comfortable with chairs spaced according to the Covid guidelines. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience!

We were in desperate need of tires for our car and needed them for inspection. They didn’t have them in stock but ordered them right away for next day service and were able to do everything from tires, alignment and inspection (which it passed thanks to the new tires). The good:- You can book appointments online.- If you are taking tires away with you, they wrap each one individually in a bag. Nice touch.The bad:- They didnt have my online appointment in their system, which makes booking online kind of useless.- It took almost 90 minutes to replace four tires.- They forgot to put the tire valve caps back on so I have to buy new ones.

This is the best VIP store I have been. I needed to get tires for my car. Everyone else was out of stock, I had to wait a week for the tires that I wanted. VIP in Portsmouth not only had them in stock, but they were very efficient and reasonable. I will recommend them to everyone. Thank you

Purchased 4 BF Goodrich tires at a good price. I also had an alignment and an oil change done in an efficient manner. I like that I can have my oil changed at a reasonable price and get my tires rotated at the same time. No additional charge for tire rotation if you buy the tires at VIP. Excellent value, thank you!

Ive been buying tires at VIP since I moved to Portsmouth 25 years ago. I always get the protection package and lifetime alignments, and recommend both.Ive also had some parts replaced (idler arm, etc.) on my front suspension. I have always been happy and satisfied with the work and service at VIP.
