My Benz E350 a/c was running hot. They got me scheduled in, even being overbooked, and got the AC running VERY Cold. Johnnys is definitely a warm family oriented honest shop. I am having more work done to my vehicle as we speaker. Stay tune for more reviews.

Does good work, but a little high and never has your car ready when promised. It could be there fir months.

I love this shop. Johnny and the family are all very warm and friendly. They make you feel like youre a part of their family. Theyre good and honest people. You dont have to worry about them trying to charge you way more than the job cost.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. He was honest, fast, and fixed our a/c issue for lower than what we thought. I would recommend him to everyone in the future. They had my vehicle for 60 days.Charged me $500 to install a new starter which cost 150 at the auto parts store.I had more problems after that I finally took my vehicle to my local shade tree mechanic and problem fixed for $50 will never use Johnny again.$800 total At Johnnys

6 stars was not an option or I would have given them 6 (or 10). I was travelling when my 2011 Pilot broke down on 264 and I was able to limp it into his shop. Keep in mind, this was a Friday at 3:00. Anyones worst nightmare.Johnny worked extremely hard to find the part I needed for my car. Fixed it, went the extra mile to make sure it wouldnt happen again, and did not overcharge me. I was able to get out of there by 5. Awesome.It is a family run shop so I got to spend time the with whole family and watch Johnny interact with them, they are wonderful people. I wish he would open a shop in my hometown.If you live in Portsmouth...take your care here.

Had a chevy conversion van die in Maryland. After a week in a 4.5 star AAA rated shop, they said it couldnt be fixed, parts were not available and cost would exceed value of the vehicle.Contacted Johnny and he helped get it towed to his shop, repaired the unrepairable problem, in addition to some problems caused by the Maryland shop, and the vehicle runs like new.Im convinced that if Johnny cant fix it, then it truly cant be fixed.Im 72 years old, been working on vehicles all my life and Johnny Gower is the finest mechanic/technician Ive ever dealt with!He is truly THE BEST!Michael Beaver

There is a lot of experience in this shop and Johnny has an incredible knowledge of most types of vehicles. Also in addition to great service and reasonable prices, it is a trip to listen to Johnny talking withfriends/customers.

Im just very frustrated with them. While they are very friendly and I was happy that they could squeeze my car in for an inspection. They failed my car (understandably for the two bulbs), but also because my apartment complex parking pass was right under my oil change sticker in the top corner. Luckily they moved it (which at first I thought they threw it away). Did take a very long time to get inspected, but it did get done.

Having problems with my older vehicles is very frustrating and Johnny is one of the special few that honestly evaluates and fixes the problems so my cars keep running. Thank you Johnny and team and your lovely wife and daughter. Your grandkids are special too!
