“Service not listed” because the service was removal of old appliances and installation of new ones. I have used GH in the past for repairs. This time, I was visited twice by Craig and both times received great service. He was not only prompt, professional, and friendly, but went above and beyond to solve my problems. He has a pleasant demeanor and was a calming influence when I thought I was going to have issues. I hope he will be recognized by the company for this positive review.

Weve been using GH Appliance Repair for several years. The biggest reason is that I trust them. Their rates are reasonable and consistent with other repair companies. But the quality of the service is excellent. They explain to you what theyre doing and why. They make good recommendations and seem to really know their stuff. I especially like that we get the same technician each time so he knows the history of whats been done on the appliances and factors that into what should be done.

Brandon was not only on time but he was very professional and clean. He diagnosed a odd problem which not only fixed the washer but was much cheaper than originally thought. VERY honest and friendly.

I highly recommend GH Appliance Repair. Owner George did a thorough diagnostic check on my oven 9/9/2021. It was heating unevenly and baked goods were coming out burnt around the edges and not done in the middle. He found nothing wrong other than the oven is 20 years old and very slow to pre-heat. He only charged me the trip charge, no labor, even though he was here for an hour, checking everything and testing the ovens heating ability. He was right on time, very knowledgeable and helpful. I would use GH again for any of my appliances.

GH has helped me for over 7 years. Fixed my Captal cooktop, my LG washer and my Miele dishwasher. The Miele was tricky because of intermittent problems. They came out and went through the diagnosis problems and ended up fixing it. It took 4 visits, 2 of them no charge, (expect for parts), and now Im doing dishes. Cant say enough about how professional and experienced Brandon and George were.

What a great experience! Called on Monday, scheduled for Tuesday, technician called ahead of time. He was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was lucky enough to have Brandon come out as my tech and within MINUTES he knew what was wrong and took the time to show and explain to me what the problem was. He never talked over me or made me feel like I should know this. He educated me and for that I was SO thankful. He was honest about the timing of the part coming in due to Whirlpool being delayed w parts and kept me updated and had patience w my calls to check on status. Chris diagnosed the dryer issue in 10 minutes and ordered the part. Michael returned in a few days with the timer and within 20 minutes had the dryer running like new. Both great guys.

I called to get a wire harness installed on my washing machine. They insisted they charge for a diagnosis. I told her I had another company already open it up and replace the pump, just needs a harness. She hung up on me. I’m confident they will convince you to take your business elsewhere pretty quick if your experience is similar to mine.

Called to get my lg fridge repaired. It wasn’t getting cold anymore. I was told they work on lg, and they even asked for my model number. Got an appointment for 5 days.Guy shows up on time 5 days later, looks at the fridge for 20 seconds and tells me it’s not getting cold. Oh and it’s maybe the compressor but they don’t do that kind of work on LG fridges cause they’re sealed systems.He says I should call the 800 number on the fridge and that will be $95 please (which is the discounted rate).Thanks GH! For wasting my time and money. I feel very stupid for even paying the $95. But at least I learned something about them.

To begin with, they at least answered my call!! a couple others did not. The delay time to get some here was a week, which I found surprising as in the past, Id expect only a day or 2.Ok, the complaining out of the way. Corey showed up on Saturday at the agreed time. He immediately diagnosed that the problem was clogged drain line. he cleared it and the unit is now working as normal. I was a bit surprised there was as much gunk in the drain line, as we always go with the high temp option when we run the dishwasher.Corey clearly what he was doing, was very forthcoming with what he was seeing as a problem, and he solved it quickly. After a week of doing the dished the old school way, I am thrilled that he was able to close out the problem with no loose ends.

Also, Im brand new to the area and dont even have a lawyer nor would I call one over 300 dollars. The lawyer fee would be way more than that. Stop spreading this lie. I did say I would leave bad reviews if my remaining 144 dollars wasnt refunded. Guess what wasnt refunded and what Im doing?2. I never told your technician he couldnt get the part. I actually offered. I asked him repeatedly if I could just talk to you on the phone. He Refused. He went outside to call you again, I went as well as I wanted to be a part of this conversation (ya know, the one that directly concerns me). I asked again if I could talk to you. Got the 1 finger in the air to wait. When he got off he said he wouldnt refund the diagnostic fee. I told him good luck and he couldnt of left faster. You can still come get the part, I never even remotely stopped anyone from getting it, just bring my old one back.3. The reason I was annoyed was that I paid you just shy of 300 dollars and STILL HAVE 2 broken appliances and you wanted nearly 100 dollars more to get just one in working condition. If I already paid you 300 dollars for two appliances in that are in the EXACT same state Im not sure why I would give you another 75 or why you wouldnt expect me to get upset when ---you even admitted--- YOU NEVER WAITED TO MAKE SURE THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. Had you done your due diligence this would be a very different conversation.4. I asked repeatedly to just talk to you directly from both your technician Cory and your office manager Moronda. Why wouldnt you just call me?5. You never admit that you made a mistake. You know you didnt wait to check the problem was solved and you also know the problem wasnt solved. Why are you and your employees still trying to make this our fault when you made a mistake. You couldve just put the part you missed in your MISDIAGNOSIS and it wouldve cost you less money and we wouldve left happy. Had my Kenmore elite stove oven bottom burner go out. They had very nice guy come out next day. Super friendly and had some great conversations with him. He loved my dog, my dog was helping him whole time lol. Anyways my stove is fixed, cost was pretty reasonable given the cost of that stove which was 1700$. Charged $140 to diagnose two appliances (oven and fridge). Super expensive but still went with it based on good reviews. My first mistake.George came out for all of 10 minutes to “diagnose” appliances. Seemed like a decent guy. Didn’t ever turn on stove to test. Said he couldn’t get part for fridge but was helpful with order number for part. Trusted when he said heating element was out of stove (temp would not reach above 290) and would come back for another $60 plus part to repair ($120 dollars).Came and out in part over an hour after scheduled time. George turned on oven for 2 minutes and I paid and he left after around 15 minutes. Second mistake, never pay anyone until you see that they fixed the problem.Turned on stove after he left, and it reached 290 degrees. So after almost $300, the stove is still broken. The fridge Is still broken. I am out $300 with two broken appliances, So they send someone else out to look at stove and said it was control panel instead and to pay $75 more dollars for that part. So you want me to pay now $400 for a repair because you messed up on the diagnosis and left before you checked if it reached temperature?It’s okay to make mistakes, but to blame the customer is beyond unacceptable. When we asked for money back and to return part, we had the repairman race out and say too bad. When we called office, office manager gave a litany of excuses for 20 minutes about what happened. George never contacted us directly and is instead relying on what he said/she said from employees. At the end of the day, there is no denying that both appliances are exactly the same as before they came.Never did they admit (anyone) to making a mistake.never did I get an apology (only, I understand and 40 excuses) Never did they try to make it right and repair the oven. Finally got repair cost refunded after multiple phone calls, but am still out $150 for incorrect diagnosis. They will say the heating element was broken too, but the then the oven wouldn’t be doing the EXACT same thing as it did before we called.They are not even worth it. Just buy a new appliance.I’m sure they are a great company if they fix the problem, but God forbid, if they don’t. Then it’s your fault and problem. It’s okay to be wrong; it’s not okay to not make it right. Too bad.

5 Years after my 1st review for our washer, this time for the dryer G&H still has great availability at an affordable rate. I was given an 8-10 time frame and he was here by 8:30. Extremely professional, polite and sanitary. He quickly diagnosed the issue explained everything provided a quote and then repaired the problem in the same visit. As well as cleaned up afterwards. Last Friday I woke up to my refrigerator not cooling. After reaching out to a business I used in the past with no help, my neighbor told me about GH Appliance Repair and I made the call. Not only did they respond, but they responded that day within a couple hours. The technician, Brandon showed up and diagnosed the issue. He had to return with the part to complete the repair and did so within 2 hours. While away, he took time to communicate with me giving me an accurate ETA so that I could plan my afternoon. I could not have asked for better service and will definitely use their services again. I will also use word of mouth to promote them to others.

Tech just came out to repair our Thermador initially diagnosed as a main control board problem -- Tech, upon disassembling unit, found a smaller problem and only charged us for that work. The technician showed up and Looked at the washing machine for a total of 1 minute and said it was not worth fixing. Charged $85 and left. Was at the house a total of 8 minutes. That’s from the time he pulled up to the time he got in the truck and left. I should have went with my gut feeling and just bought a new washer. I can see paying $30 for the travel time but 85? If your appliances is over 7 years old just get a new one.

I thought I had lost my compressor on my refrigerator. They were at my house within two hours of calling and found out it was the timer motor. The serviceman was efficient, explained everything to my satisfaction, and extremely professional. They have all my future business.

No one answers the phone. The voicemail box is full so you cant leave a message. Tried to set an appointment with the procedure on the website, its been 3 days and havent heard anything from them.

I was very impressed how fast they were able to get to us (same day) and fix our dishwasher. They were very nice on the phone and in person. Although he (George) knew our warranty company would likely be reimbursing us, he was very honest and only charged us the service fee. Honesty is very important to me when selecting a company so this company gets 5 starts from me plus our dishwasher is fixed!

I want to start off by saying that this review is specifically towards the pricing of service.I had a leaking seal on my dishwasher and my property management company chose G H Appliance Repair to come out and fix it. Their response and execution of the repair was great and I have no issues with that.I was charged $75 for a diagnostic fee(some might refer to this as a service fee). Ok no problem there, thats pretty common. The problem parwas Thea worn was seal, which was expected when I got the call and the part was $16.52.Here is the issue I have, I was charged $55.00 for labor. For an issue that, between diagnosing and correcting, probably took about 30-40 minutes I was charged essentially $130 for labor. Now most companies Im used to dealing with, for an issue as minor as this, will just assume the labor into the service or diagnostic fee. Speaking with the receptionist on the phone however she said under no circumstance do they do that and the minimum that they charge for labor, regardless of how little time or effort it takes to repair, is $55.This means that regardless of what it is that the issue is, at a minimum you will pay $130 for them to come out and diagnose and repair plus whatever the cost of parts is.

From the time I called and left a message I was impressed with the timely matter in which George the owner had returned my phone call. He was polite and professional.I explained my problem with my whirlpool washing machine.George told me what he thought it was and sure enough when Brandon the technician checked it out, thats exactly what it was. After dealing with another service company through Lowes Extended Coverage Plan for almost a month, I was told about GH from a neighbor that had a positive experience with them. Called and left a message, received a call back shortly thereafter telling me that they could be out THE NEXT DAY! (Its a 2-3 week wait with most other companies). They showed up ON TIME during the 2 hour window they had provided me, and the technician called when he was on his way. The technician (Bobby) was friendly and very professional. He took his time diagnosing and solving my dryer problem. He treated my dryer like it was his own, very carefully taking it apart and putting it back together. He was quick, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem in about an hour. I would have gladly paid double the very low repair cost that I was charged. I wont ever use another appliance repair service in VA Beach again.

Called G H Appliance repair at 10:00 AM on a Tuesday, and was told that they could have someone to my house between 3:00 and 6:00 that evening. I received a call at 3:45 giving me a heads up that they were on their way, and they were at my house by 4. George had the problem with my washing machine diagnosed within 15 minutes, and fixed within another 15 minutes. I was very impressed with the price and quality of the repair, and would recommend G H to anyone that ever asks.

My washing machine busted on laundry day, so my family was in danger of stinking for a few days. Ill leave the grizzly details out, but the bottom line is George and his technicians took care of us. they were extremely professional, friendly, and -most importantly - competent. They cleaned up after themselves before they left, and my washing machine is still working like a dream 3 weeks later. also, their price for an in-home evaluation is the same or better as the competition in the area, and you just wont find better service anywhere. Terrible service.. The tech has been out to service twice in two weeks & both times it was the wrong part. My washer is actually working worst now. The tech left dirt on my floors & walls. He left without even letting me know he was gone or that it still was not fixed.

Repaired our Samsung fridge 18 months ago and the new part stopped working. Wont stand behind their work (only cover parts/labor for 3 months). Offered to sell me an updated part number. When I expressed my displeasure the repairman joked well thats Samsung for ya. Wouldve been nice to know before dropping hundreds last year on something that wouldnt last. Took all of 30 seconds to diagnose the problem but you can bet they were collected their $70 fee. Last year they quoted me $450 to fix a $500 dishwasher.Fooled me twice so I guess shame on me, but no more. Dont recommend.

Our dryer blew a fuse a few days before hurricane Matthew was going to hit and I really wanted to get laundry done before the crazines. Our dryer is 13yrs old and of course has no warrenty . I called Maytag (or a really a 1-800 number) and was told they wont be able to come out till Oct. 14th!!! That is way to long to wait to get stuff done!! I looked up google review and you guys had a lot of great words to say about this company so I gave them a shot!! You guys are right :) They said that they could come out the next day (confirming with a call the evening before to give us a time) . The gentleman came out was polite, the price on the service call was good (and on the part) and he had the part on him and fixed it immediately. And our dryer was up and running so I could get back to business and got everything done before the storm :)Thanks you guys on the reviews and thank you G.H. for fixing our dryer :)

Timely, professional and pleasant from first call to completion

So my fridge was on the fritz, had been for several years. Being a DIYer I looked at fixing it myself but the learning curve for trouble shooting and the fact I would have likely lost a couple of hundred in groceries, I gave G H Appliance Repair a call. No recorded message, he answered my call, scheduled an appointment and came out the next morning. He went straight to troubleshooting the repair, told me $130.00 with service call, labor and parts. He made the repair, had the part on his truck, put everything back in the freezer and cleaned up. I ask you, does it get any better than that?..... I think not. I highly recommend G H Appliance Repair... thats just my 2¢...

I paid another company 65.00 for coming to my house and he didnt have to fix anything. said he would come back and adjust the 65.00 towards any work. Well well my fridge finally stopped working - that other company never even called me back. I called GH Appliance on a Sunday evening and he answered the phone and set my appt for first thing Monday morning. The tech explained the issue and showed me the new part he placed on my fridge. These guys were there when I needed them. Def recommend their services.

When I call for help, they are here the next day. And the day after that, its fixed! Count on it!!!

I called and left a message a week ago and never received a phone call back to repair my refrigerator water & ice dispenser.
